Hey there and here's the next chapter just so you people can know that this will be one of the stories I will not be abandoning so here's the first challenges and who will be participating. Once I finish one other fic i'm working on i'll focus more one other ones like this so sit back and enjoy.
The next day both teams were present at the conference room in the luxury resort in good ol British Columbia waiting for their hosts to arrive. Some boarders were trying to stare holes into each other like Marisol and Elise; while others were chatting like Tane and Brodi. Entering the room was Terry and a woman with fabulous red hair, dark eyes, and a striking figure. "All right everybody before we began I would like to introduce you to my co-host-" Terry said before he was interrupted; "Ohmygod it's Marlene Saurez" screeched Kaori and Bionca as dashed towards the female. "Ms. Saurez we're like huge fans of your show 'Into the Reach' Bionca said as Kaori just shook her head rapidly. "Nice to meet some people who appreciate television's finest" Marlene said as Terry fake coughed their attention. "Well since that's ruined let's get this underway" he said as they all sat down in front of a monitor. "Ok so here's the deal each team member will take on a location from around the world. These places are France, United Kingdom, Norway, Argentina, Sweden, The United States, Canada, and some top of the notch mountains from which the fans voted on for the final race. Like last time there will be Three challenges on three different mountains: Race It, Trick It, and finally Duel it. Race it both riders will have to race down the mountain to the finish line; first one to reach the flares and chopper wins. Next is Trick it next where a minimum score has been set where the riders must reach the score, however to win you must have the highest trick score. Finally duel it where the two rivals must navigate one of the nine Megacourses to win the challenge. The team with the most courses win see simple as that." He finished explaining. "So who goes against who and where?" asked Allegra; "AH! That's simple we allow the computer to randomize the people contesting and where it'll take place" Marlene replied as she started tapping on the pad screen. On the screen it showed two boxes with a versus between them and a rectangle below it. The boxes started swirling like those slot machines; "and the match up will be-" Tery began to read. The box stopped to show a picture, "Zoe Payne versus" the right box stopped to show another one "Viggo Rolig with location being-". The rectangle showed its answer; "what do you know here in good old Canada." Terry announced . "Me and Vig, well can't say I expected that ." Zoe said as she stepped up cool with Viggo.
"Ok first challenge is Race it on Mount Logan, now remember these challenges are only to prepare you for the Duel it and to extend the competition giving our viewers more action now do any of you want to practice or drill themselves before we begin?" Marlene asked.
"Nope I'm good." Viggo said.
"Nada, I rode every mountain in the country, so no big deal." Zoe said.
"It's settled then, riders get to your choppers to begin the event at Mount Logan." Atomika said.
Zoe and Viggo grabbed their snowboards and gear then proceeded to the helicopter.
The livestream came on showing the what's what with DJ Atomika; "Hey folks nice to see yall again, this is DJ Atomika broadcasting live from my new sound booth thanks to M.S. to bring you all the news of the new challenge. So now we're starting in the majestic country known as Canada where SSX founder and Veteran Zoe Payne will be taking on the Scanner himself Viggo Rolig. Now we go live to the large and towering Mont Logan." He said as they switched to the start of the race.
Zoe and Viggo arrived at her first event, the Race It on her first course, JT2.
"All right people, here we are, the Rockies. Good luck, i'll stay close to both of you." the pilot said.
"Thanks man." Zoe said when she stood up and grabbed her board.
"Get ready Zoe, this time, it won't end up in a draw like the last time." Viggo said challenging.
"You wish, i'm going to win this race, get ready for your second place smile." Zoe said.
"I'll open the door for you two to start the race." the pilot said when he opened the door and Zoe and Viggo stood ready to begin.
Back at the extravagant resort, the team was watching the livestream that still hasn't started yet.
The pilot gave the signal and both of the boarders jumped out of the chopper to start their race. The stream came Team SSX was rooting for Zoe as Neo-SSX did the same for Viggo while watching the livestream.
The race begins with Zoe taking the lead, however Viggo was showing his stuff with his moves doing a few frontflips in midair.
Zoe kept speeding through the trek while Viggo kept slow moving it till they reached the ramps where the more airtime he gets the closer he gets to Zoe.
"You've improved" said the demon as they were now head to head; "don't I know it" he gloated as they continued descent. He moved away to do a railgrind before flipping to do a 350 stafefish and landing on the other side of the track.
Back at the resort the cheers were still booming for their respective team member. "Come on love shred that loser" Moby yelled at the stream; "break his neck!" roared Psymon as the rest just looked at him weirdly and scooted away. "Go Viggo Go!" cheered Bionca shaking her fists while the rest also participated. "You can win this" Hiro shouted as the cheered except for JACK who just remained silent and looked at the race.
Halfway through the race and so they started speeding even further down the mountain as both soared of rail and some indescribable uber tricks.
Now was Zoe's chance as she put everything in it with just speed as Viggo was just behind her. All that came to an end when she rode to the side wall and used the momentum to launch herself in the air performing a Uber Rocket Tweak as she lands at the finish winning the event.
Team SSX all jumped in victory at their friend's success while Neo-SSX just shook their heads. "That's my girl Yeah!" Moby said as he double hot-five everyone near him. "You seem very happy Moby" Elise said with a smug look getting a surprised and flushed look from the british rider. "Uh-Uh yeah cause you know it's our first win and all" he said quickly; "sure whatever you say" she replied. "Ha how do you like us now" Mac gloated to the other team. "It's not over yet there's still the Trick it and Zoe will definitely lose at that" Tyson said; "no way Zoe's a beast in the Trick challenges especially when that song plays." Elise said only getting smirks from the other team. "Ve'll zee" JP said as they looked back to the screen waiting for the next event to happen.
We now head to Grouse Mountain as the choppers hover over the mountain ready for the next event. The signal blares as the riders hopped off and began the challenge.
Zoe starts with a pieces of flare and then a quadruple Truckdiver Tweak Front Flip. Finally finishing with a uber flying Squirrel getting a total of 168,915 points. Viggo did a 180 Switch Huge in Europe flip combined with a sit on it boardslide; he did a Switch waaay back while landing on a rail grinding it and exiting with Checkin the nose totaling it up to 233,751.
"Come on no Payne no Gain" Viggo said upsetting the Demon rider as they continued their tricks down the mountain. The team only looked in shock as the new team kept their grins on at the livestream. The race continued till they were almost at the end with Zoe leading with 4,163,381 as Viggo just had half of that. Zoe thought she had this one in the bag as well till the young Scandinavian showed what he can really do. First he got on a grindrail then did a series of combo moves before flipping off the rail and doing an uber trick before landing on the rail again and doing the same thing all over again.
He then launched himself off and did an uber trick on the chopper then doing his signature move before landing on the ground and continues grinding his way to victory. "Haha Hawk has nothing on me" he said as Zoe did her thing barely keeping up with him on the scoreboard.
They reached the finish to see the score as it is with Zoe's being 11,343,635 and Viggo's 15,804,860 making Viggo the winner of the event. "Haha yeah I'm bad don't you forget it baby!" he yelled to the world as the demon just rolled her eyes. "We still have the Duel It 'V' so don't be celebrating just yet" she said as they both boarded the chopper and went back to the resort.
"Oh and that's all we have for today tune in tomorrow for the final event and to see who scores the first big win of the competition. This is DJ Atomika Movin out" Said radio host signing off.
Back at the resort both teams were happy that their friends at least one a challenge before moving on and decided to go back to their dorm rooms. It was dark as Zoe entered her and Alex's suite to see everyone their chilling and relaxing. "Nice to see you all having some R'n'R in our room." She said "Oy we were just seeing if you wanted to know some stuff from the other team." Moby explained to the female rider. "Stuff like what?" she asked as they all approached Kaori at the computer.
"Well that Viggo after his stuck-to-the-pole accident was hopping from country to country partying it out and shredding it at his folks resorts. I even remember this one I attended that he was at, dude it was epic I think it got like ten million hits on the first day." Ty said making the riders shake their heads. "Well nice to know that Viggo was doing something with his life; anyone else?" Zoe asked as they continued.
After the first SSX circuit Hiro left to host the animated show "Karaoke With the Stars." She said. "My mom watched every episode of that show" Mac said getting looks from the rest of the gang. "She made me watch it with her whenever I had to spend time with her" he said gloomly. "Once the show was done he then became an exec at a top notch computer company." Kaori said knowing she had seen hi sometime at that Expo in Okinawa.
"Tyson enjoying his time as the king of Canada later did a Ski tour of his own around the world challenging the best of the best. This won him many sponsors but he took a page out of his Brother Nate's book and learned snowboarding." She said. "That's Tyson always trying to impress his big bro his own way no matter what." Zoe said shaking her with a smile and her eyes closed.
"Allegra after her hit movie Zombie A-Go-Go went blu-ray she acted in other movies; some horror like Cyber-vampire hunter and Parazyte. Then there are sport movies like Runner up, Auto-crush, and Jane Pixy Extreme Skater." She said and continued researching. "In an interview she said that she will be taking a break from acting and will be getting back to her roots" Kaori read. "Well we now know what she meant she's getting back in the game" Mac said.
"Leaving Blur JP travel around the world having the time of his life. He then did a few wakeboard tourneys before pursuing a career in racecar driving." Kaori said as both Moby and Zoe just frowned about looking at that worm's smug little face. "Well at least he's doing something that makes him happy" Elise said trying to be optimistic while still disliking the French rider. "He now has the rank of number 3 in the world's top racecar drivers" she finished before moving on.
"Wow Marisol was divorced a year after she left!" Kaori sad feeling sad for the Hispanic till Elise came in. "Good maybe the husband probably had grown a mind" Elise said gaining a glare from the Japanese girl; "One: ELISE! And two: it was the husbands fault since he was the one cheating on her" Kaori told the model rider who remained unchanged. "Just means he saw someone better then chicken legs there" she said getting a horrid gasp from her model friend. "Trust me you don't know her like I do" Elise said before going back to her juice. "Anyway after it was final she went to become a famous pop singer and has went on three tours while winning two Grammys and even three other music awards." She said making most riders impressed at the girl's talent except for of course Elise.
"Brodi went back to his life at the beach in Honolulu, Hawaii becoming a surfboard maker and participating in the occasional surfing tournament." She said. "I've come across him at some of the tournaments he's a true surfer thru and thru" complimented Tane. "I don't know why he's back in snowboarding his business is booming and he seems to be more of a surfer than a boarder." Ty said; "so am I Ty to us snow or ice is water in frozen form therefore it's like surfing only colder and more intense." Explained Tane as Kaori moved on to the newcomers.
"Ohhh Bionca is the daughter of Stefano Bianchi" Kaori said getting surprised looks from the group. "As in the owner of Bianchi Gelato that Stefano" Alex said as the group declared their favorite flavors. "Strawberry-lemonade sherbert" said Mac, "Chocolate Cheesecake" said Elise, "Raspberry fig of course" Psymon, "I'm a cotton candy-bubblegum swirl girl all the way" Kaori declared, "Citrus Nova!" Ty yelled, "Pina colada lambada is the way to go" Tane said, "Mint cocoa desire is always #1 in my book" said Moby, "Razzle-Dazzle berry for the win" Alex proclaired, "Sour Trinity and can we get back to the page at hand please" Zoe said as Kaori continued. "Wanting something more to do with her life she participated in snow sport events on Matterhorn and Gran Paradiso. She holds the record for fastest snow athlete in Europe." She said
"Finally there's JACK there's not much on him only that he appeared a few months after our Tour circuit was done." Kaori said. "That's an understatement before you all started SSX a year ago he was the pro-rider everyone is talking about" Ty said as showed them some videos of the prodigy. "He's been winning every snowboarding competition and event out there. Nobody knows who he is only he has that getup on the entire time along with a voice modifier, and he has large resources to take him anywhere." Ty said. "Come on this bloke can't be that good" Moby said getting frowns from the two who knew what JACK was capable of. "Oh really, Ty play the video" Tane requested as the Norwegian rider played a recorded feed from Kaori's laptop. It shows someone in a snowmobile taping a chopper flying over the Kagmara Range in the Himalayas at 6:30 p.m. it was snowing hard and very dark with no sunlight in sight. Opening the door was the lightly geared man himself hanging onto the chopper prepping himself for his run; he gets on his and does a trick off the chopper bouncing off a peak and then sliding on the snowy ground. He shreds through the snow like a natural following the flares before soaring off an edge and doing more tricks despite the harsh conditions. It would have been good if he didn't stray off the path; he tried to use his ice axe but it to no avail. JACK slid off the mountainside and it would have been the end for him if he didn't deploy his wingsuit and glide through the rough winds getting back on the path. Now he raced down the mountain narrowly dodging and cheating death several times while doing some incredible moves before he reached the chopper by jumping off the ledge and grabbing the railing. The video ends as they moved away from the mountain with JACK roaring to the skies.
"Okay I'll admit he's cool" Mac said knowing that even he wouldn't do something as risky as that. "Why didn't we get this guy to join us?" Zoe asked; "because he disappears and reappears every now and then like a ghost" Tane said as the rest decided to put it off for now and get some rest especially Zoe. Tomorrow would the first of many showdowns.
