CHAPTER 17 : VOICES HAUNTING.
If we are pre-destined, and our lives are already planned, then why is my life so crappy. I wish I knew, I really do, is that why for more than 2 weeks the real world seems so dull? I left I finally left that place with all its crazy shit and all its crazy people but I won't lie something is missing from this world and I know what it is, and no I will not go there.
With other Witches staring at me in disgust and people talking behind my back, thinking that I don't know who or what they are talking about, I'm laying low . I know but have you ever felt that feeling of disappointment , like you were expecting one that but the complete opposite happened? Yea that's how I felt, but I didn't realize it at that moment that is how I felt after he attacked me like that not for myself but for him, I was disappoint for him and in him, does that make any sense? Because when I tried explaining it to Sammy she didn't wanna hear. All she knows is that the guy tried to kill me for speaking to an old friend and when Adam heard well let's just say I had to sedate him.
I always thought I was alone until I realized I will never be alone again because I had my family and I had my friends, but he is alone, at least I know he feels alone. My heart has softened towards, something that I thought would never happen, and I mean ever. I realized this when Brendon came to see, out of his own free will, no order from Logan or his "Family" and he told how he has gone back to the Old Logan, the Heartless Logan. He begged that I go back to him, but when I asked for the reason he said " that ma'am you already know" and he left.
Weird right? I already know?. Week 3 life is back to normal, as if he never even was, but can felt it in Adian the change. He is quieter, is all this my fault? Am I the one who set all these events into action because I would rather, I would…I would give him a chance to right his wrong, this time for himself.
The phone just rings on and on and on, and goes straight to voicemail.
"what!?, are you mad!" I nod no, looking him in the eyes.
"you can't go back Jade, what is with you? Did you smoke something or eat something the rest of us didn't" Mickey paces, the room up and down and up and down. Sammy just looks at me with a frown on her face, looking for a reason somewhere deep within my eyes.
"No, I didn't…Mickey, that wasn't Logan, he…has been kind and loving and…your friend, something is wrong with him I'm telling you!" I stand and walk in front of him. he looks away from my face, an angry frown upon his face, I touch his face, turning it , looking into those worried , caring eyes.
"you saw it too" his face softens, his eyes close and he nods yes.
"I saw a man, mad enough to beat the life out the woman he claims to love" I glare past Mickey and right at Danny.
" Jade, I know that he is…was different, changing for the better. But he is back to his old self again…you have to understand, you can't go back to U, not now-"I listen to Jessica.
"not now Jade while something is wrong with him, I understand, I really do. I would die for our family, I know you would too " Sammy stands, looking out the window, Mickey walks up to her.
"I agree with my wife…Jade as your King-"
"Mickey….Don't" I stand, he would never!.
" I do what I do, for Adian and you all know that. You saw him in that room, he will take away my son if he wants to, he changed, but not for me, for Adian. And now I know something is wrong because the way he loves his son, Logan wouldn't go a whole month without calling him or even coming to see him. so I'm scared because who knows what the fuck he is going to do in this crazy, messed-up state" they all keep quiet, I can see the agreement in their eyes.
"I think it is time the boys go the visit their grandparents don't you Mickey" Danny looks at Mickey, after a few seconds he agrees.
So that's how it happened, that is how I ended up alone at home. You never know what crazy people will do.
