Here's another chapter! Sorry about the long gap. Writers block is the worst! Make sure and let me know what you think about the chapter.

Harry and Ron were sitting in the briefing room awaiting their trainer. They had been summoned earlier than usual, which confused them all a little. They sat and waited for thirty minutes until their trainer entered the room. He walked in with a quick pace and a stern look on his face. Once he was in front of them all he cleared his throat and spoke.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Congratulations. You've officially made it halfway through the program…you should be proud. But don't think for a second that this means it'll all be easier now...oh no from here on out, it'll be the hardest it's ever been. Remember this though, you've already made it this far. As for today, you will be facing boggarts. Surely you remember them from your school years. Anyone want to refresh our memories?"

To Harry's surprise, Ron's hand shot up within an instant.

"Yes, Mr. Weasley?"

"Um…boggarts. See, they're shape shifters. They take the form of whatever each wizard fears the most. That's what makes them so…terrifying."

"Exactly. Well done. The only difference is, these boggarts aren't exactly like the ones in school. Since you've done some growing up…they'll be much more difficult to face…much more terrifying. You have to have your wits about you. It isn't going to be snakes, or spiders, or the darkness. You'll see true horrors. This will be a true test. Now, without further a due, let's get started. I'll call you each in individually. Avett, Maria! You are first."

"Ron, I can't believe you answered a question…and correctly!" Harry laughed. Ron punched him on the shoulder.

"Come off it, Harry. I remember some things. That's almost exactly what Hermione said when Lupin was teaching us."

"Blimey, you remember that? You must be head over heels for her. It's about time too."

"Yeah, yeah."

This days training took quite longer than usual. It was nearly noon before Harry got called in. As he stood in the room, he noticed a small chest sitting in the middle of the floor. Then, a voice came over a speaker.

"Are you prepared, Mr. Potter?"

"I am, no big deal."

"….Very well then. Wand at the ready."

Harry was gone for quite a long time. Ron wondered what could be taking him so long. Four more people went to face their boggart and he still didn't return, but neither did anyone else. Those who were left broke for a short lunch and then returned. Finally, at around four o'clock, it was Ron's turn. He took a deep breath, and stepped into the room.

"Mr. Weasley, are you ready to face your boggart?"

"I am sir."

"Very good. Wand at the ready. Three…two…one."

At that very second, the chest opened. At first, nothing happened. Ron wondered whether or not anything was actually in the chest. He waited just a few more seconds before it happened.

Screaming. Painful, piercing screaming erupted from the chest and filled the room to the brim. Ron quickly covered his ears. It was terrible. Eventually it stopped. He tried to wrap his mind around what was taking place. What happened next couldn't have been prepared for. One by one, each of his family members, including Harry, climbed out of the chest and stood in front of him. Ron almost fainted. He couldn't believe his eyes.

"Wha…what's going on?"

They were all silent, just continuing to stare at him. And then, each of them began to talk, all saying the same three words.

"Help me Ron. Help me Ron. Help us. Help us Ron. Please. HELP HELP US RON WE NEED YOU. RON WE NEED YOU. DO SOMETHING!"

Ron didn't know what to do. He scanned them all over, feeling scared. And then it happened. They were all struck down by the killing curse.

"NO! Nooooo!" Ron tried to come to their rescue, but before he could they disappeared. His breathing was becoming quicker. Suddenly he questioned whether or not he could actually do this. No. He couldn't give up. All of this was merely inside of his head.

"Ron…"

Ron jumped a little, and turned around.

"No…no. It can't be. You can't be here." Ron was beside himself, eyes wide."

"Of course I'm here. I had to see you."

"Hermione….it's not you. You're not real."

She stepped closer to him. "Ron, it's me." She wrapped her arms around him. He went weak, but had to keep his wits about him. This was all fake.

"How is it you're part of my boggart…I just don't understand."

The boggart form of Hermione said nothing.

"Hermione?"

She pushed him away, looking disgusted. "How could you Ron?"

"What?"

"How could you leave me like that? How could you disappear? We needed you looking for those horcruxes and you left us. You left me!"

"Huh…we talked about this!"

"I was heartbroken, do you understand? Heartbroken!" She smirked. "It's okay though…I had Harry."

"Oh no…I see what this is. You won't break me. You're only a boggart!"

"It was nice, you know? Having so much alone time with him. You're a failure, Ron. I will forever remember that painful experience! Perhaps I did always enjoy Harry more. Maybe I should be with him!"

No! Stop it! You don't mean any of that…you're not even real!"

"You know it's true Ron…you think about it all of the time don't you?"

"Ahhh! That's it! Ridikulus! RIDIKULUS!"

The boggart Hermione just laughed. Nothing was happening. Ron's spell wasn't strong enough yet.

"Bloody Hell….ridikulus!"

Instead of disappearing…the boggart Hermione began forming into someone else. Ron was heavy breathing. He wasn't sure how much longer he could hold on. Just then…he dropped his wand. His eyes were wide and his mouth agape. He began to tremble. The new boggart form was fully able to be seen.

"Hey there Ronnie boy…long time no see, huh?"

F….Fred." Ron's voice was shaking, and barely more than a whisper. As much as he tried, he couldn't stop the tears from falling. "Fred…it's not you. It…it can't be."

"Aren't you happy to see me? You can't send me away can you."

"I don't want to…"

"But you did already, didn't you?"

"What?"

"Oh you know. While you were busy making out with your girlfriend…I was getting bloody slaughtered! And you did NOTHING ABOUT IT RON! I'm dead because of your selfishness!"

"No…no it wasn't my fault!"

"You know it was, Ron! If you focused on anyone but yourself I could still be alive!"

"You can't do this to me…I know it's all in my mind."

"Yes, but it eats you alive every day, doesn't it? You weren't even around when it happened. You didn't even know."

Ron was using all his strength to try to keep his tears to a minimum.

"Such a shame for you to miss it, wouldn't you say?" The boggart form of Fred said to him. "We surely can't rob you of that. Here, let's take a stroll down memory lane."

Suddenly, Fred disappeared. A gust of wind pushed Ron to the ground. And then, a scene played in front of him. It was back at the battle. He was sitting there actually living through the thing he was grateful he never had to see. Fred's death. He lost it…he couldn't take it.

"No! Nooooo!" He struggled to his feet. "Ridikulus!" The scene of the killing played over and over. Louder each time. "Ridik….rid….ridikulus!" The screams of Fred, Hermione, Harry, and the rest of his family filled the small room again. Ron's head was spinning….he was just about to give up. He stood up, gathering all his strength and pointed his wand right at the boggart.

"Ahhhhhh! RIDIKULUS!" And then, all in an instant, the room was cleared. Ron exhaled deeply and dropped to his knees, his hands covering his face.

A voice came over the speaker once again, speaking solemnly.

"Congratulations Mr. Weasley, well done. You made it through strongly….you are free to go,"
