CHAPTER 20: IT'S BEST TO KNOW WHEN YOU'VE BEEN BEATEN , NO?
"NOOOOO!" Nikky comes running down the stairs, and stops right at the foot.
"Jade?' he lets of my neck, and life rushes right back into my body.
"Logan, finish her!. Remember she betrayed you! Remember with that dog!" she walks towards him, panic evident on her face.
"let them go" he looks at me with a tender smile. He takes my hand and kisses it for what seems like hours.
"Logan? Baby?" her voice soft, he straightens himself, and tower of 6'5 feet. "Logan?".
As fast as his vampires attacked my family, he had her pined to the ground.
" Take her, and throw her in the darkest cell you can find" he hisses, looking her in the eyes, the anger burning in those red eyes.
He throws her across the room, her back hits the pillar and she hits the floor. Logan walks towards me smiling at me, I can't help but smile back. The storm that was brewing inside me suddenly stopped. Shit Jade you be love struck and damn does it feel freaky and good, it's freak good. Nikky stands up slowly, staggering .
"You couldn't just stay away. Could you Jade?" she shots her voice breaking. The calm and collective Nikky disappears before our eyes. Have you ever seen a crazy woman? Her hair messy and wet from sweat, her dress ripped, she looks like a mad woman in the streets?. That is Nikky at this moment. But the only difference is her eyes are red, she is walking like she is drunk and laughing while hitting the side of her head as if trying to get a bug or her ear or water.
"I tried you know, to be prefect!. I tried to be your JADE, LOGAN. Every single day it was Jade this, Jade that, Jade Jade Jade JAAAAADDDDDEEEE" she stops and looks at me, hate radiating off her . she starts laughing.
"Your Grandfather saw how pathetic I was acting and how badly I wanted you to love me and just notice me, to forget about Jade and he gave me what I needed most, he became my ally. Even when she was gone she was your everything and he saw that, I saw that. So Jade must go he said. Until her bastard son was discovered"

We would rule, and I would destroy Jade, and her disgusting son! I would-" it happened so fast, one minute she was saying her crazy speech and the Edwin was in front of her.
His hand in her abdomen where her womb is and the other around her neck.
"Edwin?" she gasps, she whispers the shock heighted in her voice.
"yes love, now go to sleep" in that moment a loud cracking sound echo through the lobby, and her lifeless body drops to the floor, her foetus in Edwin's hands. The blood pooling around her body, while some drops from his hand and the foetus, which he throws to the floor.
"Pathetic Bit-In. now you see she is weak. But you Jade, you are just the type of woman I need and more. Strong, intelligent, beautiful" he looks me up and down like a piece of meat.
"Sexy." He walks towards us, slowly like we were prey and he was the predator.
"Grandfather-" Logan's voice deep, like thunder.
"ooh shut up!. I was a great King until your idiot father kicked me off my throne and took my place,my own son and then his son. You know your grandmother always said I was power hungry and I agree I love the power of being the King of U" Logan looks at me and I know, he wants me to run. But I wont run this time.
"the power made you go crazy that is why we took it from you…an old man, scared of being old, alone and slowly dying, rotting just like Grandma said you would" ooh I wish I knew her.
"you think you deserve to be King? You think you deserve the father of my son?...then take her, take the crown, take my life…if you can. You think we don't know about your little witch friend? Ooh we know, we know that she keeps you young, alive but your time has passed and so has hers" Logan walks forward slowly, smile that sinful smile.
Oh God! I know happens next.
"worthless, good for nothing man who got the crown by killing his own father. Yes we know… How foul you are" he whispers and then laughs, walking in circles around his Grandfather.
In that moment, I saw my dream all over again but this time the only difference is, Aidan wasn't here. Which means a new outcome.
Fangs out, eyes red, Edwin attacks Logan, grabbing him by the throat and throwing him across the room.
"get everyone out of here!, every man, woman and child! GO!" vampires and witches work together looking for everyone in the household. But Mickey stays looking at me.
"Leave Mickey! Get everyone far away from here" his lips pressed together, his face full of different emotions, but I could see one clearly. Fear.
"promise me you'll come back to us" I smile, as best as I can. And nod yes. He leaves.
I turn and see Edwin strangling Logan, blood running down his face and dripping on Logan as his hand tightens around Logan's neck.
"GET OFF HIM" I send fire flying in his direction, hitting his face. he attention is suddenly on me.
A scream escapes me as I keep firing fire from my hands.
"look at you getting at fiesty and going all crazy lover on me…for him. and for such little worth" he breaths rapidly, out of breath more like it. He winces when he touches his leg. I got you , you ass-wipe.
" well you know what they say about us crazy witches and our lovers" I walk up to him slowly and crouch right in front of him, on the floor like the scum he is.
"Mr McShane, I think it's time you go to an old age home, and rot away like the shit you are" I stand tall.
With a wound like his, I doubt Edwin will be getting anytime soon, I mean who can walk with both their legs burnt and half their upper body flesh hanging off them. I'm sure no one but you know what they say never turn your back on your enemy.
As I take my first step away from him, I feeling, run through me like a warm knife through butter and "again. Behind I see can Logan wake, see what is happening and getting up and running towards me shouting something. He pulls it out, and I drop to the floor. Hell no, I'm not one of those, I have never been one of those and I will never be, a girl who needs someone to save her, and can't fight to the death. I turned my back on him for Logan, I forgot to end him. maybe it's because I didn't want to kill him, I wanted him to suffer in pain as his body takes forever to heal itself due to his old age. He stands over me bones half covered with flesh, the skin on his face missing on the left side, showing his teeth and his bloody eye showing his delight with his accomplishment. I'll wipe that away.
"aah Logan, if she won't come to, and I can't her…I afraid I would rather kill her , then see her make you happy instead of me, see her love you instead of ME!" he crouches down next to me, caress my face.
"you can have the stupid kingship. I want the one thing you love more than your life and I want to take it from you…and I have" he stands up, proud and tall. Logan stands in the distance as the sword is pointed to his chest, and even though he looks like a battle is going on inside him, like a mad bull.
" don't. I got this." He looks at me, and I try to smile, to reassure me.
"it's good to know when you have been beaten…no?" he smiles.
"Edwin" It comes out as whisper, but he hears it nevertheless. And crouches down, his face close to mine, his black eyes full of happiness of the victory he has just won over his own grandson. Someone with so much hate in their heart should not be allowed to live any longer.
"kiss me." at first he is shocked, I mean the win you have just stabbed is telling you to kiss her, wouldn't you be shocked too? I know I would be. But soon that shock turns into malicious look of triumph, of pleasure.
"of course I will" he turns his head to Logan and smiles, wickedly at him.
"I win" he turns to me and smiles.
He crashes his lips into mine, and I go with him. kissing him like he is the only man in the world but my eyes are fixed on Logan's face as he watches. I see Mickey, Wes and Adam walk in, they stop when they see us. He tongue forces its way into my mouth. Just wait Jade. I let it in, he bites my lip hard and I taste copper. Now.
I release it all. All my pure energy, power even a vampire will not be able to stand. Release it all. Have you ever seen what happens to a snail when you put salt on it? It disgusting looking water and other stuff comes out of it.
That's what starts happening to Edwin, he starts oozing blood from everywhere and boils appear on what remains of his skin, he tries to pull away but I put my arms around his neck, and pull him closer to me, hold him tighter, he tries to pull away but then I remind him of what his doing but playing with his tongue in my mouth, his blood oozes onto me. and I pull away.
" it's good to know when you've been beaten…no" and I kiss him for the last time.
he explodes and I pass out.
