Blake POV

Korra sat on my bed, one leg crossed over the other, and stared at us curiously.

"Hmm. So I was right, Athena did come after you when she disappeared last month." She cocked her head and her tail thumped idly on the bed. "But if she's been AWOL for about a month now, why did she take so long to show up here?"

"Maybe she didn't know where Blake was at first." Korra shifted her gaze to Yang, shaking her head.

"It's possible, but Athena's scarily good at what she does, which is tracking and killing people. Trust me when I say that she knew where Blake was long before she showed up." Yang's brow wrinkled as she thought.

"But she's here now, which means that she had to apply first, plus she had to pass the background check completely, same as everyone else. That's probably what slowed her up." Korra looked surprised now, and equally impressed. She looked at me with a little smile.

"I like her." I smiled back.

"Paws off, she's mine." Korra laughed and shook her head.

"Heh, paws off. Good one. Anyway, I take it you updated your girlfriend-"

"Yang." Yang interrupted. Korra nodded.

"Yang. So, I assume Yang knows about Athena's semblance?" Yang and I shuddered.

"She's seen it first hand." Korra winced.

"Sorry. She's got quite an imagination." I grimaced and shook my head briskly, trying to clear the images.

"That's one way of putting it." Korra rearranged herself so that she was laying on her stomach and sighed.

"I honestly hope we never find out what's going on in that head of hers. The girl's sick." I didn't comment.

"Why are you here, Korra?" She smiled sadly and flicked her tail back and forth.

"Believe it or not, I came here to warn you, but I arrived a little too late." She sounded frustrated and a bit sad. "I wanted us to be gone before she got here, but now I can't protect you." She balled her fists into my blanket and avoided my gaze. "Looks like I failed you again, huh?" I sat down next to her and touched her shoulder.

"You didn't fail me, Korra, it's not your fault. I understand how hard it must have been for you after I left. If anyone should apologize, it's me." She tackled me with a hug and I struggled to stay upright. Despite all her strength and skill, Korra's voice trembled as she squeezed me close.

"I missed you so much! There was no one to talk to after you left. I was so lonely." I rubbed her back and swallowed hard, holding back tears.

"I know, and I'm sorry. I should have been there for you. I just didn't want you to try to stop me." She sighed and pulled away.

"I wouldn't have stopped you, I'd have gone with you. To be honest, I liked the old organization better." Her eyes flicked to Yang and I sighed.

"Me too." I looked up and saw Yang with a small smile on her face. "What?" She blinked, but shook her head.

"Oh don't mind me, I was just thinking about how cute this little reunion is." I blushed and shook my head.

"Oh shut it." Korra put a hand on my arm.

"You know he's looking for you, right?" My heart jumped into my throat and a chill swept down my spine.

"Yeah." My voice was quiet.

"Who? Adam?" I nodded in response to Yang's question, but Korra looked surprised again.

"You told her?" I nodded and Korra shook her head in wonder. "And she's okay with it?" Yang shrugged.

"Blake is who she is. What she used to do is not for me to worry about, plus I know she'd never hurt anyone unless she had to." I smiled at her and Korra chuckled a bit.

"Wow. I didn't know there were humans who were capable of that level of decency." I smiled wider.

"You still can't have her. And there probably aren't a lot of them, but I have no doubt that they're out there somewhere." She snorted, then looked seriously at me.

"The three of us probably can't take on Athena alone. Do your other friends know?" I shook my head.

"No, and I'm not telling them. I need them to stay safe during the upcoming fight." Korra bit her lip nervously.

"I can understand not wanting to tell them, but do you think they'd rather fight by your side now, or find your corpse later?" Before I could respond, a new voice interrupted.

"Not wanting to tell us what? And who's fighting who?" I flinched at Weiss's voice and glared accusingly at Korra as Yang rushed Ruby and hugged her tightly, drawing protesting groans from the younger girl.

"Thanks for leaving the damn door open." She flashed her fanged grin.

"Well, maybe next time you want to cuddle your girlfriend, close the door."

"So. . .you're a Faunus?" I nodded and Weiss groaned, digging into a pocket on her combat skirt and dropping a handful of Lien in Ruby's outstretched hand.

"Ehehe, thank you sweetie~!" Ruby sang sweetly, sounding dangerously like Yang. Weiss grunted and faced me again, her pale blue eyes cold.

"You were also part of the White Fang." It wasn't a question, but I nodded anyway. She shook her head in disgust. "I can't believe it!" She snarled, kicking one of her suitcases angrily. "Right under our noses." She shot an accusing glare at Yang. "And you knew, didn't you?" Yang folded her arms, unimpressed with Weiss's attitude.

"Stop throwing a temper tantrum, Princess. This is exactly why we didn't tell you, you can't handle it." She shook her head, lip curled in disgust. "You're acting spoiled." Weiss sneered at her.

"I would have been more understanding if you'd told me from the get-go." Yang shook her head.

"I didn't even know until about three days ago, so don't pull the wounded act. Furthermore, you wouldn't have been more understanding because, quite simply, you couldn't possibly understand."

"She was with the White Fang! They assaulted our people, trashed our factories, stole our dust, and they got away with all of it." Yang didn't seem impressed.

"I wouldn't call being part of an oppressed and practically enslaved race getting away with it. Besides, do you honestly think Blake wanted to be apart of that?" That took some of the wind out of her sails, but she was still bitter.

"No. But I wish you'd have told me anyway." Korra stepped forward.

"This isn't the real problem here. The problem is Kyra. She's here for Blake, and she's not going to stop coming after Blake until she's dead." I tried to hide my shudder, but Weiss saw it. Her shoulders slumped and the anger drained from her features, misery replacing it almost immediately.

"You're right. I'm sorry, Blake. I shouldn't have judged you." She laughed bitterly. "Looks like I did exactly what you were trying to avoid by not telling me, huh? I guess I'm just not a very good frie–" I grabbed her and hugged her before she could finish, too relieved that she wasn't angry any longer to be even slightly upset with her.

"I'm just glad that you're not mad anymore." She hesitated, then hugged me back. Korra cleared her throat, smirking.

"Well, now that we got that out of the way, I should probably introduce myself." Weiss backed up and nodded.

"That'd be a good idea."

"I go by Korra now. Korra Torahime." She gave a little bow and Weiss raised an eyebrow.

"Tiger princess?" Korra gave a happy smile.

"Exactly. Well, that or Tiger Young Lady of Noble Birth. Either way, I think you can see why I chose it." She said with a little gesture to her tail. Weiss nodded.

"It suits you." I could tell that she didn't trust Korra, so I jumped in.

"She's my adopted cousin, we grew up together. She's on our side." Weiss nodded, though she wasn't completely convinced. I was proud of her for trying anyway.

"The name's Ruby." Ruby chirped, planting her hands on her hips and thrusting her chest out dramatically. "Ruby Rose. This is my lovely assistant Weiss Schnee." Weiss blushed a bit and gave a small wave of her hand. Korra smiled softly, regret clear in her expression.

"As good as it is to have you aboard, I'm sorry for dragging you into this." Ruby frowned.

"Sorry for dragging us into what?" Korra sighed.

"Frankly, you've been in grave danger since you entered the room."

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCK! I'm finally able to use the laptop again, and I can upload stuff on my own again. I'm still undecided on how to get to the part that I have in my head, but I'm working on it, so bear with me.
