Chapter 2
Spencer knew she was caught.
There was no hiding it now. Sasha lead Alison straight to her. She really should have seen this coming. What was she thinking? She couldn't do this alone and she knew it. The good news was Alison was calm and had Sasha by the collar. However she knew that one false move and Sasha would try and make a snack out of her.
" What are you doing here?"
Spencer was about to answer but was stopped.
" Don't bother lying to me. I know why you are really here. Your not going to leave willingly until you see him are you? Since I cant throw you out follow me."
Alison led Spencer to where Mike was.
Spencer knew it was bad but she didn't know he was injured that bad.
" Ezra did this." It came out as a statement made in disbelief rather than a question. Mike didn't say anything. He wasn't willing to talk to someone who would just tell Aria anyway.
" So you heard everything didn't you?"
Spencer thought about lying. After all, Alison wanted something that came at a heavy price. If Spencer stood in the way of that, Alison would get her out the way by whatever method she deems necessary.
" Not all of it."
Alison looked at her and it looked like she was believing Spencer until Mike said something.
" She is lying."
" How do you know?"
" Simple. I heard noise coming from the other room. That proves you were there but not how much you heard. That noise was really close. It was almost like someone put there ear to the wall. On top of that I heard that noise a few seconds before we started talking."
Spencer internally swore. If Alison miraculously believed her before she didn't now. Why is he helping her? Doesn't he know what Alison was capable of? Well she had to say something before this got too far.
" You cant join Alison's group."
" Why not?"
" Mona hates her. She isn't the only one who hates her. Almost everyone in town hates her."
" That doesn't mean I have to. What's next? Are you going to give me some excuse involving Aria?"
" Actually yes. I was going to say it would hurt Aria."
" I don't give a fuck. If it wasn't for Aria, I wouldn't be here right now."
" What are you saying?"
" She set me up."
" She wouldn't do that."
Mike snorted. " She did. Ezra found out I was alone and she was the only one who knew that would have told him."
" He could have found out from someone else."
" He could have. After all I told Mindy that I would be alone. However that would mean she wanted me dead. The problem with that is she helped me here. She tended to my injuries. If she wanted me to die she would have left me there."
Spencer realized he was right. If she wanted him dead it made no sense to bring him here. After all, the police would have found out it was Ezra and it would all be wrapped up.
Mindy bringing him here proves that Alison needed him alive for something. That meant she would do whatever it takes to save him. It was a good thing he was okay, but joining Alison comes with a price that no one should pay.
Mike's price of admission was particularly high. He would pay more than every other member of her group would. Unfortunately this price wasn't in dollars and cents. There was no way to get a refund when you sign up. Spencer had to make him realize this.
" Mindy, Alison, and Noel saved you. That doesn't mean you should join her group. It will lead to nothing but problems."
" You want to talk about problems? Fine. Lets talk about how you all failed to figure out who A is."
" Alison isn't any closer than we are."
Alison had to bite back a response. After all, getting Mike to join the group was the big issue. Normally she would argue but to be honest she doesn't have to this time. Spencer is doing a pretty good job of convincing him without even realizing it.
" I highly doubt that. After all you don't have a group for one thing. You had Mona, who could be a huge help but you pushed her away which brings me to my next point"
Alison was confident now. Spencer dug the grave and now she would have to lie in it. There was almost no way to dig any deeper so it was about time to wrap things up. However, she could spare a few more minutes.
" What gives you the right to do what you did to her? She may not be the nicest person but still you had no business pushing her away after all, all she was trying to do was help you figure out who A is."
" Aria was the one who made the decision to push Mona away."
" I would believe that if it was coming from someone like Hanna. I thought you were the smart one in your small group of friends. You were the one that was supposed to be independent."
" She always stood up to me even before I disappeared." Spencer should known that Alison would put her two cents in. She was having a hard enough time as it was and Alison just made it worse.
Now she knew why Alison was letting her talk to him. She had all the wrong arguments and she realized she was basically pushing him to join her group. Then he started to speak again.
" There was something else to. What gives you the right to tell me what I can and cant do. I don't think you realize who you're talking to. I am not naïve Hanna nor am I Aria or Emily. You cant tell me what to do."
Spencer was about to respond when Mike cut her off.
" If I want to do something I will do it. If I want to hand Aria over to A, I will do so without a second thought. If I want to become A, guess what? You would be looking at the next A. If I want to join Alison's group, I am going to do so and there is not a damn thing you or anyone else can do about it."
" Do you want to join my group?"
Mike thought about for a second. He saw a flicker of hope in Spencer's eyes. She still thought he wouldn't do it. He was going to enjoy saying yes. Saying yes would also shock and piss off a lot of people.
To be honest that would just make the deed that much sweeter. People were about to learn that he does what he wants and he doesn't care what they think with Mona being the only exception.
Spencer was praying for something to convince him not to do this. I mean joining Alison willingly was crazy but at least it was acceptable. He would be joining out of spite and anger which will ruin his life. Judging by how this conversation was going it would take a miracle now to convince him not to join Alison's group.
Mike turned to Alison and with a smile that may have been an evil smirk and it was at that point Spencer knew what was about to happen.
" I would love to join your group."
Spencer was now angry. Alison won once again. Now to make matters worse Aria's brother was against her.
" Are you fucking crazy? Do you have any idea how many problems that you're going to deal with and be the cause of?"
" There is that problems word. So you wish talk about problems one time. Since that is what were doing lets talk but this time lets talk about a current problem."
Now Alison's interest was piqued. She didn't know that any of them were having any problems. Her new tool was becoming more and more valuable by the second and now she knew one thing for sure.
When this was all over, she was going to keep him around. He will be more than a tool, she could just feel it. However that was another matter for another time. Now she was about to hear about these new problems.
" Hanna is turning into the town drunk. If she keeps going on like this Hanna will drink herself into an early but well deserved grave." Spencer made a note of that last part. Mike may try to hurt Hanna.
" The problem isn't that bad." Spencer couldn't believe what just came out of her mouth. That was an obvious lie. The problem was getting that bad fast but she wasn't just going to let them talk about Hanna that way.
" You're right. It is not that bad yet."
" The problem wont get much worse."
Alison decided to interject at this point since she has seen Hanna hung-over on more than one occasion in the last month.
" This problem of hers is probably getting worse as we speak. How did she get started on this alcohol addiction anyway?"
" Caleb is the one supplying her with the booze."
" What?" That question came from Spencer.
Mike couldn't believe it but there was genuine confusion in her voice. She must not have known this part. Things are about to get very interesting around here.
Alison was enjoying the show. He hasn't been a member of group for more than a few minutes and he is already proving his worth. She wished more members had that type of attitude. Normally doing something like this would to be enough to convince her and she would put an end to it before giving the person a job.
This time was different. With every word coming out of his mouth, his value increased by leaps and bounds. Also, he was taking the Liars apart with this conversation. She could already see the fallout.
Spencer would go after Caleb which would cause a rift between Spencer and Hanna. The arguing would get worse and worse until they were no longer friends. There was also the possibility of things ending between Hanna and Caleb. Either way it was imperative that they wrap this whole mess up quickly.
Mona would be coming soon. It would ruin everything if she came here before she left with Mike. Luckily he was able to be moved. Unfortunately that meant it was the end of Mike's systematic dismantling of any argument that Spencer had.
Also it meant the end of Mike spilling the Liars new secrets as well but still time was of the essence. So Alison decided to put an end to this conversation.
" This has been fun but its time for you to leave."
" You cant make me leave." Alison almost snorted at that. Was she serious?
" Do you want to bet? I can do more than simply get you to leave. After all, you know how dangerous secrets can be."
Spencer realized where this was going. Alison wanted something from her. She had no choice. Spencer had to do whatever Alison wanted or else it would all over.
" What do you want?"
Alison was about to speak but then Mike beat her to it.
" How much does Aria know?"
" All she knows is that you were attacked and that Alison was one of the people who helped you."
" Does she know where I am now?"
" Yes, but she isn't coming."
" How do you know that?"
" A few minutes ago she texted me telling me to take care of it. She is at your guys house now."
Mike and Alison both looked worried. Even though the whole event was recorded it would be a lot easier if the crime scene wasn't disturbed.
Spencer believed that Mike and Alison were worried for a different reason. They must have been worried about Aria covering something up and it was a legitimate concern. After all, Aria loved or still loves Ezra. She could cover up vital evidence.
Also, there was the fact that she could be blamed for this since it was her that told Ezra he would be alone. If anyone found out about Aria's involvement in this then they would take a close look at Aria's past which in turn would screw them all over.
Alison now knew exactly what she wanted to happen. As much as she didn't like having to order this, it had to be done. Ezra must be kept alive for now.
" Here is what your going to do. You are going to go to Aria's house and stop Ezra from being murdered by Mona or Aria. After that you are going to stall Mona from reaching this house as long as possible if she tries to leave."
"How exactly am I supposed to stall Mona?"
Mike decided to interject before Alison said something nasty in reply.
" Spencer has a point. How is she is supposed to stall Mona? No one has been able to stop her for any period of time. They cant even slow her down and I speak from experience. Also , you haven't been able to stop her since you returned and Aria and friends haven't ever been able to stop her and they almost got her killed once."
" We don't need a lot of time to get out of here. In fact in the next hour or so it would probably be ok to move you. Now Spencer here better get going or else she wont make it in time."
" What if I refuse to cooperate?"
" First off , you broke in so that is breaking and entering. Second, if you don't do this then the police find out who really killed Bethany Young." Mike looked uncomfortable at the mention of Bethany but no one noticed.
Spencer overheard Melissa admitting it to someone a while ago. If this gets out Melissa would get arrested and she would go down as an accessory to murder. To be honest Spencer probably would be the one going down for murder if Alison had anything to say about it.
Spencer was about to leave but Mike stopped her by speaking.
" What about Aria?"
" She isn't coming, I told you that."
" You did but what is going to happen when she realizes you came back alone?"
" She is going to come here looking for answers." Alison decided to interrupt once again.
" She knows that I saved her brother. She thinks I want something from him. Both of those statements are true. Tell her that I do want him for something. She will realize that means I need him alive and in one piece. Tell her I decided it was best if he didn't go home tonight."
" She is going to ask where Mike is staying tonight. I don't think you want her to find out he is staying at your house tonight."
" She is not going to find out. Well that's true unless she puts the puzzle pieces which you have no choice but to give it to her together. Tell her he is somewhere A will never think to look. Now I think it is time for you to go."
Noel appeared just then looking intimidating and Spencer realized Alison's unspoken message. The message was either walk out of here on your own or Noel is going to "help" her out.
Spencer reluctantly left but one thing was for sure.
This meant the game between them, Mona, Alison, and A will reach new heights and the losses will be bigger than anything thus far.
Ezra tried to explain but he couldn't get a word out.
Aria had slapped him hard across the face. She then kept on hitting and hitting him until all she could see was blood on that fucker. He was going to pay for what he did to her brother.
Mona still didn't trust Aria but she wasn't going to shoot her now either but that isn't the main issue. Ezra had questions he was going to answer.
" What the hell did you do to him you no good bastard?"
" Him who?"
That was the wrong thing to say because Mona had pointed the gun at Ezra's head and was about to pull the trigger but then stopped herself at the last minute.
She couldn't shoot him yet. Mona still needed to know exactly what happened here. She was about to try another tactic when her phone buzzed. It was from A. A had sent her a picture of Ezra attacking Mike with a knife and she had sent an audio sample of what went down during that time.
Ezra thought Mike gave the pictures to her but Mike must have made him think otherwise. Now she thinks she knows exactly how it all went down.
Ezra found out Mike was alone today. Aria must have told him that. Once Ezra got there he must have demanded that he didn't expose his relationship with Aria. Ezra showing up suddenly explained why Mike hung up the phone so quickly.
Mike must have realized what Ezra was trying to do. Her boyfriend must have had one last plan in case he had been killed today. This plan would have brought Ezra down once and for all.
When Ezra realized that Mike knew what happened he demanded to know where the evidence was. Mike had given him an answer that obviously didn't satisfy him. Then Ezra must have come to the conclusion that he gave the evidence to Mona.
That was the correct conclusion but Mike wasn't going to tell Ezra that. He protects the people he loves and today he did that but it may have cost Mike his life. Then again there was a good chance he was alive.
After all, she heard Alison planned to recruit him and he needed to be alive for that. Also, there was the fact Mike wasn't even here at the moment. In the condition he was in, he couldn't have gotten far by himself.
Noel must have helped him since he said he would call her later when they were somewhere safe. She was putting her trust in Noel and that scared her. Noel has no loyalty to any side in this dangerous game they are all being forced to play.
He could go back and forth between her and Alison and there is no telling what he will do. Once you add the fact that he wants to get back together with Aria it adds up. Noel has to be watched but no matter what side he is on, he is still friends with her boyfriend.
Well that may not last if Noel actually gets back with Aria. It will be almost impossible since Aria caused Mike's near death. Her boyfriend isn't exactly known for forgiving and forgetting.
Speaking of her boyfriend, she still doesn't know exactly where he is and there is something that both Ezra and Aria aren't telling her. Mona then noticed the extent of the damage done to Ezra.
At least two people had to have done the damage. Judging by the amount of Mike's blood outside, it was unlikely he could have caused much damage to him. After all, some of those injuries looked like a professional did it.
Noel must have decided to end it quickly and knocked him out as soon as possible. It is time to put thoughts of Noel to the side and get back to the matter at hand.
Mona pointed the gun at a now pale Aria.
" What aren't you telling me?"
" I don't know what your talking about."
" Don't play dumb with me. You know something about this and your not telling me what it is. So you can either tell me or I can blow your brains out."
" Spencer texted me about what happened before I came home." To prove she was telling the truth, she brought up the text and handed the phone to Mona in the hopes that she will drop the gun.
Unfortunately, Mike's dog Leo was standing in front of Mona so it would be impossible. She wasn't surprised that Leo did that. After all, Leo saw Mona as his mommy. He never let Aria be alone with her.
Now he looked like he wanted to tear someone apart. If Mona wasn't there he probably would have. The good news is it looked like Mona believed her. Now maybe she can point that gun at her ex boyfriend.
Unfortunately, Aria realized that she made a mistake. She had told Mona that she got the text before she got home. That means she chose to go home instead of helping her brother get away from his girlfriend's worst enemy.
She should have just handed her the phone.
Alison was relieved when Spencer left.
That meant now Noel is no longer needed today. He left as soon as Spencer did.
That was odd but the good news is that he wont have to be dealt with today. In fact, unless he actually gets back with Aria he shouldn't be much of a problem at all. Still she worries about her new tool going back and forth between her and his girlfriend.
She knows that he accepted her offer but he is not completely loyal yet.
Alison has no doubt that he will tell her anything she wants him to. After all, she didn't ask for any details and she was given the whole nine yards when it came to new secrets.
However, there was nothing about Mona in any of the information. She didn't expect him to. Mona was currently his girlfriend. She expected him to stay silent about her and he did.
Alison respects him for that. That shows he can be loyal. Also, he has shown that he will not follow blindly like some of the other fools she is forced to employ. Some of them were complete morons but still they were the only ones that signed up.
He can not continue to remain loyal to Mona in the long run. She is sure Mike knows that since he gave her a lot of secrets and he is about to hand over more. Remaining loyal to Mona for much longer would hurt.
It wouldn't just hurt Alison's plans for him. This loyalty would also hurt Mike.
After all, she had a feeling that he was giving someone all of his love when the other person wont do the same.
There has been a lot of evidence that suggested Mona would shatter his heart for a second time. The first piece of evidence is a simple fact.
The fact is that Mona did break his heart once. Break was an understatement in this case. When Mona broke his heart the first time, it was like all the life had been sucked out of him.
Normally, this would be where she swoops in and gets the guy to do whatever she wanted.
However, Mike was different. Alison didn't know how and she had no clue why. All she knew was it didn't feel right doing that to him. She didn't understand these feelings.
It didn't bother her when she ruined his relationship with Hanna. It didn't faze her when she ruined his relationship with Ashley. However, Mona breaking his heart made her feel something.
She actually felt bad that he was betrayed by Mona. He was just used by Mona the first time. Then Mona used his feelings to worm her way back into his life.
Then you have the fact there is a certain guy back in Rosewood. If it was just some random guy, it wouldn't be a problem. However, this wasn't just some random guy that came back to town today.
This guy had been the reason Mona broken her tools heart the first time around.
That was ugly. After they broke up, he looked like all the life and happiness had been drained from him and it didn't stop there. It only got worse.
After a while he had stopped doing anything that made him him. There were no more sports, no more hanging out with friends , no more anything. Unfortunately it didn't stop there either.
In fact it got to the point where it turned life threatening. Her tool had stopped eating. His weight was decreasing quickly with no food combined with excessive exercise. It got to the point where was days or even hours from death.
She had to do something but she didn't know exactly what. After all, she couldn't get directly involved since Aria wanted nothing to do with her. However, no one else was able to get him back to normal so she had to get involved.
Unfortunately, the only thing that came to mind was get him back together with Mona. That was the absolute last thing she ever wanted to do. Bringing Mona back would damage her plans for her tool.
She spent years on this master plan. Normally she would just find another tool to take her broken tools place but he was different. She never could explain how or why but somehow he was different than the rest of them.
Then she had thought of a way to turn this to her advantage. If Mike found out she was the reason that Mona came back then he would be under her thumb. It wasn't a good plan by any stretch of the imagination but it was all she had.
Mona did come back into his life like Alison had planned. When she came back it was like the life came back into her tools eyes. He started doing all the things that he used to do before she crushed his heart into tiny pieces.
He started eating regularly as well so he was back to a healthy weight in a short amount of time.
That was good news but of course there was bad news as well.
The bad news was that she wasn't the one to bring Mona back. She had gone up to where she was staying at the time to convince her to return to Rosewood only to find out she was already headed back there.
Someone had beaten her to it. No one knows who actually did but Alison had a few suspicions on who brought her back. She couldn't identify this person but she had a few clues. One of those clues was whoever it was left a Justin Beiber CD behind.
Whoever it was, they sure hated Alison. This person must have convinced Mike to avoid her at all costs. She realized that when Mike started to turn and walk in the other direction whenever he saw her.
Luckily it seems that time changes things like that. He told her all the things that this person would want kept under lock and key. She knew one other thing about this person.
They were still out there. After all, the only person who knew exactly who that person was is Mona and she would never tell Alison the truth. However, she didn't need Mona's cooperation on this matter.
She was going to find this person, whoever they were and teach them a lesson.
No one gets in the way of Alison DiLaurentis.
If Aria thought that text was going to get the gun pointed away from her she was sadly mistaken.
Mona had heard what she said and she realized what it meant.
Aria knew her brother was in trouble and she still came here instead of trying to save him. She did want to save him, that much was true.
However, she needed to know exactly what had happened. She needed to know just what damage lay at her feet. As soon as she heard that Alison helped her injured brother she knew what she had done.
Aria had given Ezra the perfect opportunity to kill her brother.
She didn't want this to happen. What was she thinking? She knew Ezra had changed his behavior a lot when it came to her brother. That should have raised a lot of red flags but she ignored all of the warning signs.
Luckily someone saw the signs for what they were. Her brother's girlfriend Mona Vanderwaal saw all the signs and she didn't just sit idly by while Ezra was planning on killing her boyfriend.
She warned Mike about Ezra. Mona told Mike never to be alone with Ezra. Aria should have been the one to do that. She was his sister. Mona was the bitch who already crushed her brother once.
Luckily she came back in time. If she had been away for any longer, her brother would probably be dead right now.
Mona saved his life and now Aria almost ends it.
Ezra wasn't going to get away with this.
One way or another there will be hell to pay.
She hoped Spencer got Mike from where he was successfully. It was going to be hard but she couldn't do it herself. After all, if he thinks she set him up, he isn't going to cooperate with her.
Spencer was the logical choice because she knows how to deal with Alison. Also, she knew more about this whole mess than she did. She hoped Spencer didn't insult Alison in front of her brother.
Alison had just saved Mike's life when Mona and her couldn't. Mike wasn't going to listen to anybody insulting the girl who kept him from being brutally murdered by his sister's ex boyfriend.
Why did she save him? She must want something from him but Aria for the life of her couldn't figure out exactly what it was. She knew that whatever she wanted him for, she was going to have him for. That meant that Mike would be protected at least until his usefulness runs out.
Aria knew the answer would come in time and so she focused her thoughts on why Alison came over when she really had no business being here anymore.
She must have known something bad was going to happen to him. Mona wasn't over here earlier to save him because she found about the incident too late. That explains why she is holding a gun to her and Ezra's head.
She hasn't shot either one of them yet. That was the good news. The bad news is she hasn't lowered the gun either. Mona must still be contemplating about whether or not to shoot both of them.
At this point Aria didn't give a damn if she killed Ezra. Hell, if Mona ever dropped the gun she would do it herself. The only reason she is refraining from attacking him is the fact that Mona may get angry for some reason.
Making Mona mad would be suicide right now so she reluctantly sat there and did nothing. Even if she could do something like escape Mona and leave her with Ezra that wouldn't help anything. After all, she didn't know exactly where Mike was now and without that sort of information Mona wasn't likely going to leave peacefully.
Mona put the gun to Ezra's head once again and demanded to know what he did to her boyfriend. Ezra wouldn't cooperate and Mona just lost her patience at that point. She was going to put an end to Ezra Fitz once and for all.
This dickhead had the nerve to attack her boyfriend. She had come back into his a life a second time as a better person. One of the first things she did was make it crystal clear that if anyone hurt her boyfriend there would be hell to pay.
She had messed up majorly and it almost cost Mike his life. Mona wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.
First, she was going to deal with Ezra. Then it was Aria's turn to be dealt with.
When that was all taken care of she was going to find Spencer. After all, she knew everything about this since she was the one who actually saw what happened. Knowing Spencer, she probably followed them to wherever Mike was.
The bad news was she also knew Alison as well. It would be unlikely that Mike is still where he is now once she got there. In fact, she guessed that he is being moved at his very moment it time.
Hopefully, Spencer knew where her boyfriend was being moved to. That was her only lead.
If she didn't she would have to wait. She trusted her boyfriend but every moment in Alison's clutch meant a greater chance of him ending up one of Alison's tools to be used and subsequently discarded when the bitch saw fit.
She had just saved his life so Mona would have to be extremely careful with what she said. On top of that, the blonde bitch is probably convincing her boyfriend to join her side.
The sad thing she wouldn't need to do much convincing at this point. Mona had already betrayed him once and look at what had occurred afterwards. He had completely shut down and was on the brink of death.
All of her thoughts pointed to one fact. She needed to end this quickly so she can find him before Alison sinks her claws in too deep.
It was finally time to leave this place and get her tool to her house.
Normally, she would seduce whoever it was and lead them on until they were no longer useful. That thought didn't pop up in her head even once. Even if it did, there was no way she would do it now after what Mike had just been through.
She never felt this way about anyone before. However, now was not the time to be questioning her feelings. It was time to move him out of here and to her house before his bitch of a girlfriend shows up and ruins everything.
" Can you get up?"
Alison expected him to need some help but was surprised. He got up without any help. You could see in his eyes that his body in its current state was paying him back for that.
She knew he wouldn't ask for help. His downward spiral that almost killed him proved that. He needed to learn it is not a weakness to ask for help if you really need the help. This male pride of his was going to be the death of him. Alison wasn't going to let that happen. She didn't save his life just to let him kill himself.
The good news was that there wasn't so much damage that she needed to help him or take him to the hospital. Still there wasn't a chance of getting him to do any tasks related to her group today.
The good news is that she can use this day as a fact gathering thing under the guise of " Job orientation." That is not to say there wont be any talk about the job. After all, a position like the one she created for him was rare.
She created this position for him so Alison could keep him close and not risk him out in the field doing grunt work, even though she would never admit that to anyone even herself. If anyone asked, she would say it was because she wanted to keep a close eye on him.
This position of his was big.
He was the head of internal affairs for her group. Before the group of hers was small enough to manage herself. Now it is the size of a small army and it only keeps growing and growing as time goes by.
It would be his job to make sure things are running smoothly.
He would make sure that everyone is following her orders to the letter. They may be good workers but she didn't trust a single one of them fully. After all, she convinced the vast majority of them to betray Mona and join her side.
They made the smart choice since they joined her. However, she wasn't about to let them go unwatched. After all, if you can betray one boss whose to say you wont do it again.
There was also the possibility of them still working for Mike's bitch of a soon to be ex girlfriend. Mike did tell her that Mona planned on taking her group apart from the inside out.
There was no way that all of them would be still working for Mona. Alison never let a traitor slip through the cracks before and she wasn't going to start now either. There were some of them that she was concerned about. In fact there were already two people for Mike to look into
Cindy was one of them. It wouldn't surprise her one bit if it turned out that she was still working for Mona. That would explain everything.
Cindy's time in the group started out on a low note. She was supposed to meet Alison to talk about the group. Cindy had the audacity to be late for a meeting at her own house. Cindy was the only person she knew would be brazen enough to try something like that.

Cindy always pawned off most of the work on Mindy. Mindy was always able to handle of huge workload so at first she let it go. That was a mistake that Alison wouldn't make again.
She thought that once she split them up there would be less problems. Cindy was supposed to become her own person. Alison thought Cindy did become her own person. The problem with was her own person was even worse than being a mindless sheep.
She failed tasks. She screwed up a few that really no one could ruin without trying. She was about to look into it herself but Cindy apparently had a brief change of heart. She was doing tasks almost better than Mindy.
Now it seems she has had another change of heart. Mike would look into this and get to the bottom of it. If she was still on Mona's side he would tell her or face consequences himself.
After investigating Cindy, there was another girl that she wanted to know more about.
It was Jenna Marshall. She offered her the chance of friendship once and she turned it down. Alison also was the one who caused her to lose her eyesight. If the rumors were to be believed, this was only temporary.

She knew the story of what happened because at the time she was still friends with Aria.

She went through file after file of notes and nothing. There were no clues from the stuff in her room so she went to her attic. She kept most of the stuff there anyway. Hopefully there was something in there that would tell her what she wanted to know.
Alison kept searching all through the attic until she came across a box with a giant A on the lid. Normally, she would dismiss this and continue to search but there was a problem with this.
She couldn't remember anything about this box. There was nothing in her database that said she received this box before. Then again it was possible that she forgot to put it in the database.
She opened the box hoping that she had missed something in there that would give her a clue. Unfortunately all that was stuff she had already looked at, her database said she had looked at all this stuff weeks ago.
Alison dumped all the stuff out of it and was pissed. How could A manage to get the better of her? She was Alison DiLaurentis. Nothing stopped her from getting what she wanted in the end before and that sure as hell wasn't going to change now.
She was going to find out who A was. After that she was going to put an end to this bitch and her twisted games once and for all. Then she turned her attention to that box and once again she was angry.
Alison was sure there was something in that damn box that would give her some idea. In frustration she grabbed the empty box and was about to throw it across the room when she heard something shaking around inside.
An empty box shouldn't make that sound so she carefully tore the box apart where she found a DVD inside. Alison saw someone had wrote M + J on the front. She realized that it meant Mike and Jenna. If she had to guess, A had sent her this hoping she would interfere in this relationship. A knew that if she did Mike may have caught on to what she was doing.
Alison was just about to put it away again when she stopped. She had questions about her tool and Jenna that this tape would answer them. She put it in and started to watch.

He is the only one who can go between Alison, Mona, and A without having to worry. Also, he knows a lot of secrets. Spencer found that out when Mike started talking earlier. Alison may have won today but she wont always win.
After all, how can you be loyal to Alison if you are dating Mona? The answer is you cant. There is no way you can do both. Maybe Mona put him up to this. That made a lot of sense.
Mike would do anything for Mona and there were rumors he was planning something like this. He must be spying on Alison for Mona. Then again maybe that wasn't true. Would he even be able to talk to Mona after this?

That was shocking. Mona didn't think anyone had the guts to demand a million dollars in cash from A. It was even more shocking when A handed that money over without killing the person five seconds later.

The power is what made A dangerous. The power came from the money. If Mona could find out where A got the money, she could stop it. Once she did that, A would lose everything.
It wouldn't matter if Mona didn't know who A really was, the people who gave A the money would. A would then be killed soon after. It would either be by the hands of the investors or by the former employees of A.
Mona knew that they would be angry at her. I mean they would come after for putting them out of well paying work. That is to be expected. She also knows her boyfriend wont be safe either.
Everyone knows she is dating Aria's brother, she made sure of that. She wasn't very popular when she came back. A lot of people hated her for what she did to Mike. Mona hated herself more for causing him to almost die.

The good times wouldn't last long. Eventually one of them would think he has betrayed them for the other. The one that feels betrayed would kill him, plain and simple. His only hope at that point would be to use the money and get out of there.
She wasn't going to let it come to that. Mona was going to find her boyfriend before Alison did too much damage. She just had to take care of one piece of business first. Ezra had to go. It was a big risk. If she was caught, that would basically push Mike to A or Alison or both of them. That didn't mean she could just kill Ezra, did it? The answer was no.
Aria would have to be dealt with as well. She didn't want to do this but there was another choice, she was too much of a risk to let her live. Mona pulled Leo behind her and she put the gun to Ezra's head.
" Wait. If you do this you'll be hurting Mike."
Mona paused and thought about it. Aria was right. She couldn't shoot Ezra. Mona would end up in Radley or in jail for the rest of her life. She couldn't shoot Aria for the same reason either.
Mona pointed the gun at Ezra again and started to speak.
" Get out of Rosewood and never come back. If you do, I will find you. Then I will kill you slowly until you are begging for death's cold embrace to envelop you." Mona was almost done here.
She turned behind her and spoke to her boyfriend's dog.
"We're going for a ride." Mike's dog understood perfectly and ran upstairs. A few seconds later he came back down with his leash in his mouth and tail wagging. It seems Aria knew what Mona really meant because she started to follow them.
Mona pointed the gun at Aria and told her she wasn't going to follow them.
" He's my brother"
" This is all your fault. If it wasn't for you he wouldn't be this mess in the first place. Your going to make sure the bastard next to you gets out of here and never comes back."
With that being said Mona and Leo had went outside. She was expecting him to head towards her car but he didn't. He headed to the side of the house and started barking. Mona went to see what he found.
He found a few blonde hairs. Well it proved the Alison theory was right but where would she take him?
Spencer better know the answer to this question. If she didn't, there would be hell to pay. If she didn't know, Spencer will learn a very painful lesson.
The lesson is no one lays a finger on her boyfriend and gets away with it.
Alison had finally made it back to her house with her tool.
Now that they made it here it was time to start moving forward with her plans for him. First things first, she has to get his mind focused on someone other than Mona. She knew she wouldn't be able to break them up tonight.
That wouldn't be a problem since her tool doesn't have to do anything that would harm Mona's group just yet. He probably wouldn't do anything like that yet even if she ordered him to.
His loyalty was admirable. You didn't see many people with his kind of loyalty anymore. Once he was under her thumb, she would never have to worry about him walking out on her.
They were walking into the house when Mike said something.
" Hanna is staring at you."
That was impossible. She shouldn't be at Spencer's yet. Cindy should be keeping her occupied at Hanna's house for awhile. It looks like Mike was right. Hanna was staring right at her.
That would make things difficult. Alison couldn't claim she was drunk. If she did, Aria would know Mike is the one who told her Hanna was drunk. That would lead to everyone knowing that he worked for her. It was too soon for everyone to realize. It was already bad enough with Spencer, they didn't need anyone else to know. Alison is lucky that Spencer has no proof Alison has a new tool.
Mike couldn't claim Hanna was drunk if she talked. He really couldn't say anything because if he did it would put him where Hanna claimed he was. Hanna however wasn't as smart as Spencer.
Hanna, probably not sober, would come in her demanding answers. That she could deal with. She set up cameras around her house just in case someone tried to break in.
Those cameras would show Hanna coming in. After she left, Hanna would keep her big mouth shut. If she talked about this it would be the last mistake she would ever make. Alison didn't come this far to let someone like Hanna Marin ruin her plans.
Alison didn't say a word about it and they both walked into the house.
She began speaking as soon as the door was locked.
" Did she see you?"
" I don't know. It may be possible that she saw me but she was staring at you the whole time we were out there." This was going to be a long conversation so they decided to sit on the couch.
" Do you think she knew it was you out there?"
" I doubt it. If she did she wouldn't have just stood there. She probably would have said something or even came over here demanding some sort of an explanation. Anyway she still might come over here."
" How much time do you think we have?" Mike knew what she was really asking. Alison wanted to know how much time they had to plan on how to deal with a possibly drunk Hanna Marin.
" That all depends on when she puts two and two together. Spencer, Aria, and Mona are the only ones that know what happened. We probably wont have any time once one of them tells Hanna what happened."
" They aren't going to tell her everything."
Mike realized Alison was right. With Hanna's drinking problem, it would be too risky to tell her everything. However, she wasn't stupid. She could figure it all out if given the clues.
" Maybe not but they'll tell her enough." Alison realized her tool was correct. Her friends would tell her enough to get her snooping. She wanted to put a stop to it, but there was nothing she could do.
" You think Hanna will just come through the front doors demanding an explanation?"
" It depends on how she reacts to the news, but if I had to guess, I'd say that she probably will come over here but not to demand an explanation."
" She will probably come to me asking about info on Caleb."
" He is cheating on her."
" How do you know."
" I saw him kissing a few other girls. The pictures are on my phone." Mike took out his iPhone and handed it to Alison.
Alison took a look at the photos and was pleased. This could come in handy. Plus it looks like Mona didn't know. If she did, she would have to told her best friend Hanna Marin. However, her happiness only lasted until her tool started to speak again.
" Its too bad we can't use any of these."
" Why not ?"
" Take a closer look at those pictures and you'll see what I mean." Alison looked at the photos again and groaned in frustration. Some of these pictures were months and years old. A few of these were from right after Caleb and Hanna got together the first time.
Some of them could have been recent but there was no way of knowing for sure.
" We might still be able to use these. After all, does Hanna know about any of this?"
Mike tried to remember a time where Hanna confronted Caleb about cheating. However, he couldn't do it. They were always happy. In fact they were so happy he wanted to puke but that's leads to a road off track. The important thing is that they never broke up due to infidelity.
That could only mean one of two things. One, it could mean that she knew and just loved him too much to say anything. It was possible. Hanna and Caleb have been together for a long time so she could just not care about the past at this point. Hanna may trust him completely.
It could also mean the obvious. It could mean that she had no knowledge of Caleb's infidelity. That seemed more logical than her knowing nothing and that was surprising when you consider who Mike is talking about. Hanna was always too trusting. She never suspected anything even when the proof is literally staring her in the face. Mike had no idea how someone like Hanna could foil A's plans.
She had no idea that A wasn't the biggest threat out there.
Mona and Leo were back in her room. She was going over everything that happened in her mind. This was confusing. Mona knew what happened, which in her mind, was the second most important question.
She also knew the answer to one of the most important questions. Mona knew that her boyfriend was alive. She just felt that Mike was still living and breathing which was a good thing for all involved.
If he was dead everyone would suffer but Aria would suffer the most by far.
She is the bitch that caused Mike to be nearly killed. All she had to do was keep her fucking mouth shut and this wouldn't have happened. If Mike doesn't survive neither will Aria.
Aria will be begging for the cold embrace of death to take her. She will be beaten until she realized the pain she put Mike in. Blood will be spilled. Oh Yes, blood will be spilled. The blood will come flowing out of Aria as a river of crimson.
The precious blood will leave Aria but her life wouldn't. Oh no, the crimson river isn't the only thing Aria has to look forward to. Mona had much worse in store for her boyfriend's sister.
You thought A was bad but you haven't seen Mona when she is fighting for her boyfriend. A could learn a thing or two from the beating she was going to give to Aria before her demise.
Mona stopped thinking about the beating. She realized that her thinking about this means there is a part of her that doesn't believe Mike is alive. Her heart knows he still lives but still this one part of her keeps telling her Mike is dead.
Mona still wanted to know where the love of her life was. He couldn't leave this house in the condition he was in unless he had help. She knew Alison wanted to make Mike her tool. Alison made the mistake of telling her before she disappeared for a while.
Apparently, she had a master plan. Truthfully, that surprised Mona a little bit. She always knew Alison was a manipulator. Alison always had a plan but that was it. It was just one plan after another and that is what ultimately lead up to this moment in time.
She thought that it meant that Alison could be the one that set her boyfriend up for his attack by Ezra. However, she dismissed the idea quickly. Alison was a master planner and she also a possessed a business mindset.
The way Mona saw it , Alison wouldn't have planned this attack. After all, her master plan involves Mike. She asked Cindy about it and she told her what was going through the mind of her enemy.
Mike was a precious tool. Alison thought he would be her most valuable tool and has spent years grooming him for the position without his knowledge. The first time she had interfered in his life was when he was with Mona's best friend Hanna.
She had to thank Alison for that. If she didn't get involved, he might still be with Hanna. That was the only time she got directly involved with Mike's life. She preferred to do all the other stuff without anyone knowing.
Mona was confused about two things when it came to Alison's interference in Mike's relationships.
One was his relationship/fling or whatever you want to call it with Jenna. Mike thought he could keep it a secret but she found out. Anyway, the point is Alison didn't interfere in that relationship. This was around the time her master plan was starting out but she did nothing about it. At least, it ended on its own.
There was also her relationship with Mike. She hated Alison and Alison hated her. That is the way it has always been and she was fine with that. Her being with Mike must have driven Alison crazy. Her tool was with her worst enemy. In Alison's eyes the relationship must be stopped before its too late.
Alison never did a thing and Mona just realized why. It was too big of a risk. There was no way she could do anything before today. Before today, Mike thought Alison was a complete bitch. Now that she has saved him, she has the perfect opportunity to take Mike away from her.
She wouldn't kill him. In Alison's mind killing Mike wouldn't cause her enough pain. She would have Mike at her side and all would be right with the world of Alison DiLaurentis.
As much as Mike didn't want to, he would have to play Alison's game for now. Mona wanted to go find him now but realized she couldn't. Alison was smart, she wasn't going to let Mona anywhere near him at the moment.
The good news was Alison knew Mona. She knew Mona would ruin her if Mike wasn't returned to her today. The question was when and what condition would he be in. She heard her phone go off and it was a text from Noel.
Mike was being treated for his wounds. Alison asked him some basic questions to check his memory. The text also said she was moving Mike to her house. That was predictable.
Mona was thinking about what to do when a plan struck her. She was going to go by Alison's house after midnight. After all, Alison is moving him from place to place secretly so after midnight would be a perfect time.
Mike was going to be alone because Alison wont go anywhere and her army are all asleep at the time. As soon as Mike walks out of the house she would take him to her house and her bedroom.
She was planning on asking him some questions then but decided against it. After all, at that point Mike will have been with Alison for hours. He will probably want to forget all about her. Mona would be a good girlfriend and do what it takes to help him forget. There was one thing she could do that she knew would take Mike's mind off of everything that bothers him.
It may not be the best time for it, but at that point Mike will want to forget about Alison. Mona only knew that one thing that would keep his mind off of her for a while. It would also take care of her needs as well since they haven't been intimate for awhile.
All she had to do was put on something that would put him in the mood and wait.
Alison and Mike were still talking. The subject though had been changed from Hanna.
" You said you wanted me to join your group?"
" I did and you did join." Alison was right he did join her group already. The question was what was his job.
" What is my job?"
" I had thought about it for a long time. At first, I was just going to have you be a thug basically."
Mike didn't like the answer at first but he liked her honesty. He heard her say at first which got him curious. She must have changed her mind at some point but the question was what made her change her mind.
" What made you change your mind?"
" I changed my mind after I heard about the way you helped Mona's group." Mike then turned pale as a ghost. How did Alison know about that? No one was supposed to know about that. He took several steps to ensure no one would find out. A didn't know. Mona, his girlfriend, the leader of that group, didn't know that he was a silent partner. Well someone was bound to find out eventually.
He must have left some clue behind and forgot about it. Alison did have a habit of obtaining secrets so it wasn't really all that surprising she found out. It surprised him that she figured it out this fast and with no help. Alison probably didn't know everything about that but still he needs to know what she knows.
" How did I help her group? I didn't know it existed until a few days ago."
" Your not fooling anyone. I know you helped the group. You helped recruit them so Mona wouldn't have to worry." Mike was relieved. He thought she found about his investing. You see, Mona's employees aren't too pleased with there paycheck. They give it to Mike, who invests in businesses. He always gets a major profit and he and the employees split it 50-50.
Mike has a lot of money thanks to his investments. He could by a Rolls Royce without making a dent in his cash. He didn't buy one but he did purchase a car. He purchased a wine red Lamborghini Aventador. He also bought a garage where he kept the car without anyone knowing it even existed.
" Okay so I helped recruit them. Is that what you want me to do for you?"
" No. I have someone taking care of it. My group keeps getting bigger and bigger and I cant keep track all of them."
Mike didn't think she would admit to something like that. Her admitting that to earned his respect. Mona would never admit to it even if the answer was staring in front of her face.
" Mindy says you're a good judge of character."
" That is the first time I've heard anyone say that about me."
" Really? I thought Mona would have told you that at least once. Anyway, I need you to make sure my employees are loyal to me. There so many of them and I am leading this group. I cant spend all the time needed to make sure they are loyal."
This was an important job. If he did this, he would be partially responsible for keeping Alison's army going. He didn't feel nervous. He felt grateful for this opportunity. Finally he can show someone what he is capable of. Finally there was someone who depended on him. He was loyal to Mona, but there was no way he was going to turn this job down.
" Is there a certain way you want me to handle it?"
" How you handle it is up to you. If they aren't loyal then tell me before you do anything to them." Alison was going to let him do it his way. This job was sounding better and better.
" What if they try to escape or cover up there treachery before I tell you?"
Alison was glad she chose him to be her tool. He was using his brain just like Cindy. However, he was loyal like Mindy.
" If that happens, stop them. Do whatever it takes to stop them and then call me. I need to know what happened. Anyway, that is just part of your job. I will also need you to oversee certain jobs that my army does for me."
Mike was shocked at that. He was to oversee her army on certain jobs? That seemed a little out his league. How was he supposed to get them to listen to him. It seemed Alison knew what he was thinking when she spoke her next words.
" I am going to talk to my army before I send you to oversee any job. They need to know that I expect them to listen to you like they do me. They wont like the consequences if they choose not to follow my instructions."
" Now that we cleared that up, is there anyone you want me to look at first?"
" There are two of them."
" I am guessing one of them is Cindy."
"How did you know?"
" Before today I saw her with Mona's group a few times. The last time was three days ago." Now that was interesting. It certainly made Cindy look bad, but it didn't prove she was disloyal.
" The other one is Jenna. It is the same Jenna you slept with." Mike didn't knew Alison knew he slept with her. Then again it was Alison so he shouldn't really be surprised. Mike hadn't really talked to her since that one night they shared.
He thought she would be his girlfriend but for some reason it didn't work out that way.
" So when do you want me to start?"
" I want you to start in a few days." After that Alison turned on the TV and there was a movie playing. They had watched it for about half an hour before Alison fell asleep. The problem was she fell on top of him when she fell asleep.
He was about to wake her up and tell her to get off of him but stopped at the last minute. This felt right. It just felt like he could relax with her snuggled into him. The fact that she was dangerous had absolutely nothing to do with him not telling her to get off.
A few minutes later he put her arm around her waist and fell asleep.
Hanna Marin was at Spencer's house.
She was waitng for her since they were supposed to hang out. She was about to leave when she had saw Alison help someone into her house. That was odd. Alison never really helped anyone.
The guy she helped must be special. Maybe she is in love with the guy. If that was the case then maybe she wouldn't be a bitch anymore. Hanna snorted at the thoughts.
Alison was a bitch and she would always be one. She bets that Alison doesn't really love this guy. Alison has proven time and time again that she is incapable of loving anyone but herself.
She was probably going to use this guy to keep her bed warm. After a while, the bitch will dump him and move on to the next guy and the cycle starts all over again.
Speaking of that guy, he seems familiar. She has definitely seen him before. Hanna was glad she didn't drink today. She would need all her brainpower to figure out what the hell was going on here.
Alison would only help someone for two reasons. One of those reasons is there is something in it for her. Alison never did anything for free, there always had to be a reward of some sort.
The other reason was she had no other choice but to help. Hanna put the two reasons together and came to the logical conclusion. Alison wanted this guy to do something for her, but he was too injured at the moment.
Just then Spencer came in and wasn't too happy.
" What's wrong?"
" Oh the usual. A, school, Aria's brother being attacked"
" Do you know who did it?"
" It was Ezra. If that wasn't bad enough, he blames Aria for this. That's not even the worst thing that happened."
If that wasn't the worst thing that happened then what was?
Spencer wanted to tell her the whole story but reconsidered. Hanna had a drinking problem. If she blurted out this story, she was screwed. Alison may not have said anything specific about Hanna, but she had a feeling something bad would happen.
" Spencer, what was the worst thing that happened."
" In the aftermath of this attack, I may have made things a lot worse." That was it? Hanna wanted to know the whole story but Spencer wouldn't talk. She tried to get her to answer the question again but still she said nothing else about it.
" Why wont you tell me?"
" You know exactly why I cant tell you."
" I was drunk at the time. I didn't mean to blurt out all that stuff about Alison and A."
" That's the problem. You don't mean to screw up, but you did. Do you realize what would have happened if someone overheard all that stuff you said?"
" Nothing happened."
" No, but it could have."
" It isn't going to happen again."
" I don't believe you."
" How can you say that?"
" I can say it quite easily. Your drunk most of the time. You show up to school drunk. Quite frankly, we're all lucky you haven't talked about this in front of the entire school. This drinking problem of yours is out of control."
" I don't have a problem."
" This problem of yours is getting worse by the day. Caleb clearly isn't doing anything to help."
" Caleb has nothing to do with this."
" He is the one who caused this problem. Caleb is the one giving you the booze. Were all trying to save you and you don't even care."
Hanna just stormed out after that. However, she wasn't going to go home. She was going to solve this mystery on her own. Well, she will have a bit of help. She didn't want to do this.
She would rather be kidnapped by A than do this, but there was no other choice. She had to deal with Alison. Alison was always good at finding information buried behind lies and secrecy.
Alison would probably make her beg for her help. This was going to be humiliating she could just tell. Alison loved breaking people, just like Kate. Knowing Alison, she probably knows about all of this and has Kate over at her house right now.
However, that wasn't going to stop her.
Mike was still asleep on the couch when Alison woke up.
She had to admit that was the best sleep she ever had. Her tool was still asleep and the gears in her head started turning. This was a perfect opportunity to move forward with her plan for Mike.
All she had to do was take a picture and send it to Mona. Mona's hatred of her blinds her to the truth. She will break up with Mike before she even realizes what had really happened.
When Mike demands answers, she would just blame A. It was perfect. He had no reason to doubt that story. After all, A has pulled stunts exactly like this in the past.
She had her phone in her hands. Then she laid back down on her still sleeping tool. She needed to get the best possible picture after all. However, she hesitated at the last second.
She knew it was wrong but that isn't what bothered her. Alison looked at her sleeping tool again and put the phone away. Alison couldn't do it to him. She didn't like him she kept telling herself.
She just disliked him a lot less then everyone else she had to deal with on a daily basis. He might even become her friend one day after all this drama with A is over with once and for all.
Alison wouldn't admit this to anyone but she felt safe when she was in his arms. Now that she thought about it, she really didn't have to do anything about Mona's relationship with her tool.
Mona was doing a good job of destroying her relationship without help. You couldn't see the signs yet but the relationship will soon fall apart. Mona is keeping Mike away from her group.
She is probably doing it to protect him. He may let it go at first but that wont last. Mike will step in once he thought Mona was in danger. Mona and him would fight about that.
There were other reasons why her relationship is going to fall apart. One of those reasons is the reason her relationship fell apart the first time. Mona cheated on her tool with a guy whose name she couldn't remember.
Anyway, that guy is back in town. Mona, at the very least, knows that he is back in town. She talked to him once for an hour when he came back. Mike doesn't know about any of that. Once he found out, he wont be happy. The worst case scenario is Mona is still cheating on him with this guy.
If that was the case, her tool may shut down for good this time. She couldn't let that happen. Alison would figure out what to do about it later. Right now her tool woke up and sat up.
She was impressed. Her tool was able to sit up with her on top of him just now. In the condition he is in, this must be incredibly painful for him to do. With that in mind she got him to lay back down.
She was about to lay on top of him again when the doorbell rang. The person who rang that bell better have a damn good reason to.
She opened the door to see a surprisingly sober Hanna Marin. She must not have drank yet today.
" What do you want?"
" I need your help."
" Fine come in."
" I need your help."
" What do you need?"
" I need info on Caleb." This was a shocker, she thought she was over here because she spotted her and Mike earlier. Alison looked straight into Hanna's eyes expecting to find some form of deception.
She was surprised when she realized Hanna was telling the truth.
" You want to know if Caleb is cheating on you?"
Hanna did want to know that.
" I know we aren't friends anymore, but I really need your help."
" Why not get Mona to help you?"
" I considered it at first. The problem with that is she wont tell me what I want to know."
" I'll help you."
Hanna was about to leave when Alison stopped her.
" I never said I would do it for nothing. We aren't friends anymore. Also, you stuck your nose in my business before." Hanna was about to deny it but Alison handed her the Justin Beiber CD she thought she lost.
Hanna realized what this meant. Alison had went to where Mona was staying at the time. Hanna bringing Mona back upset Alison, but not as much as Hanna thought it should.
" What do you want?"
" I only want you to get the guy who came home with me today to agree to help. You do that, you get the info you want. It is as simple as that."
Hanna was glad that was the only thing she wanted. However, she was very suspicious as well. This request from Alison was odd. Hanna had to get this guy to agree to help and that was it.
It sounded simple but this was Alison's deal. That meant it was anything but simple. Knowing Alison, the guy was probably someone who hated her."
" Who is this guy?"
" Before I tell you, I want to keep going with this sticking your nose in my business thing?"
" What does that have to do with this situation?"
" You'll soon find out. Anyway, like I said before, you stuck your nose in my business when Mona came back to Rosewood. I had went up there expecting to find her but as it turns out I was too late. Someone had already came and brought her back. I don't blame you. After all, you did it to save someone's life. That someone was also the someone who was attacked today."
Hanna wasn't surprised Alison knew. She had spies everywhere just like A. However, she didn't like the direction this conversation was heading. It seems that this guy who Hanna has to talk to is connected to that whole mess.
Alison was going to make her beg this guy for her help. Now it started to become clear why she only had that one demand.
" You brought Mona back for that someone. Do you know exactly what you did?"
" I don't know."
" You brought back one piece of the puzzle."
" Why tell me that now?"
" I am telling you this for one reason. The guy that you need to talk to now is connected to that situation I mentioned. You are going to have to get him to agree, but I don't think you can."
" Why not?"
Hanna and Alison walked into the living room and Hanna suddenly understood what Alison was getting at.
" The guy I was talking about was the other piece of the puzzle."
Hanna was looking right into the eyes of Mike Montgomery.
