"McCoy!" Leo snapped as he roughly squeezed my chin trying to keep me from looking towards Peter.
"Like I said before, I heard you missed me." I tried to smile but his grip was bruising. "I was close by, so I decided to see how my old boss was doing."
"Than explain that to me." He released my face and nodded over to Peter.
"He's my bodyguard." I answered quickly. "Do you really think I would come here without some kind of protection." I snorted rubbing my chin and giving Peter a reassuring nod.
"That doesn't explain why you reek of him." Leo grumbled as he scrunched up his nose.
"Well.. He and I spend a lot of time together." I looked over to Peter giving him a reassuring nod. "He's harmless." I said to Leo as I stared into his eyes. "Well unless you do something that he sees threatening." I finished.
"Sure, sure. I understand." Leo agreed holding his hands up in surrender. "Now Mister?"
"Quill." Peter growled pushing past the guards to sit over by me.
'Well this won't end well.' I thought.
"Quill, Lindsey. Since I have the both of you sitting here with me." Leo began as he took another glass from the offered tray on the table. "Let's stop the bullshitting." He chuckled darkly.
"I have no idea what your talking about." I laughed lightly as I sipped my drink. "How about we stop this arguing and enjoy the night."
"Quit it." Leo growled. "You should go ahead and tell those voices in your ear that they just made a huge mistake." He nodded over to Peter.
Tensing up I glared at Leo, "you knew this whole time didn't you." I guessed finishing off my glass and placing it on the table.
Giving a shrug he looked over at us. "Oh love. You know I'm always a step ahead." He grinned.
"How?" I demanded trying to get answers. I know Peter messed up with the com, and his scent.
"Well do you really think I would believe you when you said you came to see me?" Leo chuckled standing up from the bench. "And from the moment you walked through that front door I knew you smelt weird." He glared over at Peter.
"Rocket." I heard Peter mumble as he pressed a finger into his wrist. "Plan B." I herd whisper as he unholstered his weapon.
Snorting Leo looking over at us. "You can try." Than he stared over at me. "Even if you do escape. I will find you." He promised as he straightened out his suit. "I always get what I want."
Growling at his threat I looked over at Peter who nodded towards the window behind us.
"Rocket now!" Peter said.
Then before I could register what was happening, all the lights started to flicker before they went completely out. Guards were growling orders left and right, people were screaming like they were about to be murdered.
"Oh Lindsey. You should know the dark won't stop me." I heard Leo say from directly in front of me.
"Peter!" I yelled hoping he would hear me over the commotion in the ball room.
"NOW!" I heard Peter roar as he shot through the window. "Run." He ordered as he pulled my arm and pushed me through. "Don't stop until you see the Milano!" He shouted.
I could hear him unloading rounds behind us as we took off into the trees.
"This is really getting old!" I complained as I weaved in and out of branches that were in my way.
"Just keep going!" Shouted Peter, who was only a few yards behind me.
"Do you know how difficult it is to run in heels through the woods." I groaned twisting my ankle in a puddle of mud. "I don't think I can take much more-"
*crack*
"Shit!" I yelled tripping over my own feet landing into more mud. "What kind of bullets are they using?" I shrieked as I looked at the massive hole that almost took out the whole tree.
"I don't know." Peter answered as he stopped to pull me out of the puddle. "Up. We are almost there." He urged pushing me ahead of him.
"Peter I'm stuck." I grunted as I tried to pull my dress from my legs. "My dress has about had it-" I gasped loudly as I was thrown over Peters shoulder.
*crack*
"Fuck!" Peter growled as another bullet whizzed by us.
"Peter your gun!" I shouted
"Holster!" He answered back as he held my legs tight to his chest.
Reaching my hand to his thigh, I took his gun and started to blindly shooting behind us. "Upside down shooting is not my strong suit." I grumbled.
"It's the distraction that counts." Peter answered as he tapped my butt lightly.
"Hands!" I yelled shooting towards the darkness. "I can't see shit!"
"A few more yards!" Peter reassured me as he continued to run full sprint through the night. The only reason he wasn't having any trouble was his nifty mask.
"Guys!" I herd Gamora yell over the low rumble of the Milanos engine. "Come on!"
"It's not like we're not trying." I grumbled continuing my shooting.
"DAMNIT!" I heard a cry from the darkness.
"HA! I got one!" I smirked.
"This is going to hurt." Peter said apologetically.
"What?!" I choked out as I felt Peter death grip me and jump.
"Damnit!" I whined as my head hit the metal of the ships floor.
"You okay." Peter breathed obviously wiped from beside me.
"Yeah." I moaned laying on my back. "Next time warn me."
"I did." Peter said obviously confused. "I said it was going to hurt." He chuckled as he grabbed my face to inspect it.
"You guys okay?"
I looked up to see Gamora and Drax who both seemed untouched.
"Peachy." Peter mumbled as he stood up offering me his hand.
"Tell me you got it." I asked taking his hand.
Both nodded not saying anything.
"What?" Peter and I both said together.
"Um, I think you might want to see for yourself." Gamora insisted as she walked up the stairs towards the kitchen.
"The hell is that?" I spat pointing towards the paper that looked awfully like a child's drawling. "That can't be it."
"It is." Drax challenged thinking I was about to argue with him.
"It was locked up pretty tight to not be something." Gamora sighed fingering the transparent paper. "Maybe Rocket can take a look at it once he's got us far enough away from here."
I nodded picking up the paper. It was obviously poorly drawn, who ever made this really didn't want people to know what they were hiding. It was just a bunch of lines that didn't connect, and dots that littered the whole paper.
"You smell women." I heard Drax blurt from the corner of the room.
"Why somebody is objective." I snorted putting the paper down.
"Don't call me names! I wasn't being rude." Drax wanted to argue.
"It's fine." I sighed standing up from the table looking down at my now destroyed dress. "Sorry Gamora." I frowned trying to see a way to fix this. But it was clearly impossible, it was now littered with holes, stained with mud, and maybe even some blood.
"It's not like I bought it." Gamora snorted waving it off. "Some wealthy lady is probably very pissed right now." She laughed folding her arms over her chest.
"I am Groot?" Groot said quietly from the table in front of me.
"I'm fine." I assured him "just a few scrapes and bruises, nothing a warm shower won't fix." I sighed attempting to drag my fingers through my hair. "I'm demand to be left alone for an hour tops!" I declared turning towards Peters room.
"I call shower first." I called after hearing somebody follow me. I was about to walk into the bathroom when somebody roughly turned me around. "Hey!" I snapped.
"I need you to listen to me." Peter demanded as he grabbed ahold of my face. "You, Lindsey McCoy are a problem."
I froze not really knowing how to reply to that. "Uh." I was about to argue something back, but before I could his lips were pressed firmly against mine.
It only took me second to register what was happening before I had both my hands gripping the front of his suit pulling him closer to me. He roughly took my bottom lip between his teeth. Moaning I tilted my head to the side to deepen the kiss, but before I could he pulled away.
"We need to stop this dancing around right now." Peter growled breathing hard.
"Agreed." I gasped trying to return air to my lungs.
Peter growled low as he tore what was left of my dress off, and pushed me onto his dresser making himself comfortable between my naked thighs.
"Peter." I gasped, threading my fingers into his hair, and pulling his head up to look at me. "You are way over dressed for the occasion." I smirked as I got a firm hold of his shirt and tore.
"Hey!" Peter said sadly "I liked this shirt."
Shrugging I pulled it off his shoulders only leaving him in his pants. I lightly dragged my fingers down his chest tracing every little scar and crease. I've seen him countless times without his shirt on, but I have never touched.
"Enjoying yourself." Peter purred nibbling at my ear and neck. "Because I surely am."
"Mmm," I sighed melting into Peters touch. Slowly dragging my hands back up his chest. I looked up to him silently asking if he was sure about this, because I knew for damn sure I was okay with this.
Peter didn't say anything, he just stared waiting for me to answer the same question.
I could feel his heart pounding in his chest. His hands to were traveling up my thighs. We both knew once we started, we wouldn't be able to stop. We wouldn't be able to go back to the relationship we once had.
"Peter-" I began.
"GUYS!" Rockets voice called from the speakers. "Get your asses up here now!"
"Damnit." Peter growled standing up straight never breaking eye contact with me. "This is not finished." He promised grabbing my face giving me a slow kiss. "Go shower. I'm sure I can handle whatever Rocket is freaking out about."
Nodding slowly I stared at his shirtless form as he walked up the stairs. 'Oh those back muscles.' I groaned leaning my head against the wall.
"This was way too much for one night." I sighed closing my eyes.
