NURSE ROXY POV:
It's been a few days. Once i woke, i found a notepad opened up on my computer.
You are the strongest person I have ever known. You can hold on for a while longer, I know you can.
I sighed and smiled at the little message that was left for me. I guess they really care about me. I don't know why, but i felt like i have known them before. I felt connected to them. I swung my bag over my shoulder and slowly opened my door.
I stepped out to see Dirk, the Family Practician, carring John on his back to his office. It looked like he passed out while waiting for a student. I hope he gets his sleep in today. He always stays up too late playing with the young students. He loved playing pranks to cheer up the children.
I smiled and hopped next to Dirk. He acted like he didn't see me for a while and focused on carrying John. I walked down the hall with him to a little door. John's door. The one to his room and what-not. By the time we got down there, I was already holding a bottle of wine and laughing at myself a bit.
As soon as Dirk opened the door i remembered John was good friends with Jade, the girl who took care of the therapy pets, and she trusted him to take care of Omelette. Omelette was the cute litle cat we got that had bright orange and white fur. She was the cutest cat i had ever seen. I squeaked and ran to her, laying on a little pillow in the corner of John's room.
I was playing with the cat until Dirk had tucked John in all tight and was heading out the room. I followed him and by then i was just a bit giggley. He was smileing now looked down at me. (He's quite tall!)
"Roxy. We haven't talked in a while. What have you been up to? I see you still love your wine, vodka, and kittys." Dirk laughed and continued down the hall. "That's all i girl needs, man. Good dinks and good pets." We walked together down the hall. We were talking for a bit about the times we hung out together in the past. I didn't realize how much i missed this tanned little weeaboo.
"So, have you met anyone... new?" Dirk asked. "And what do you mean by that ey? I aint meetin nobody. No fine guy would settle down with someone like me?" I said, slurring a bit after all my drinks. "Well, there's gotta be someone out there who likes you." Dirk laughed. "Maybe not..." I said going to a stop. My room.
"Look, i had fun but i gotta go." I said grabbing the handle of my door. Just as i open it Dirk grabs my hips and pulls me in. "Do you know anyone by the name of Sollux?" He whispered in my ear. He was so close to me. "C-can a girl have her space? No, i don't okay?" I said pulling away from him.
"Look, we've got to find him. And we're pretty damn sure you know at least a little about him." Dirk stepped closer into my doorway. "He had connections to you a while back. I think you have met online. You shared documents, maybe?" He stepped even closer to me.
"N-no i don't know him. Didn't he die?" I stepped back trying not to fall over. "Look lady, we have a camera in your fucking room we know you've been talking to him." My mind stopped. Was i... talking to a ghost? That explains so much. But, why were they watching me? And why do they want to find a ghost boy?
"I-i didn't know who they were! They just started talking to me on my computer! I swear!"
But, no matter what i said he kept asking me if i knew where he could have been now.
"Where the fuck is he? Me and my group need this information. No matter... what i have to do to you..." Dirk reached out to me but i fell back on my old bed. "Look, we just... need to find him. Where was the last time you saw him."Dirk whispered soothingly lowering down on the bed. "I don't want to do this to you. You're my friend." He raised a hand to my face and brished mt cheek.
"I-i can't see ghosts! I'm not like that crazy girl, Aradia!" I stuttered leaning on the wall. He pulled his head to my neak and whispered softly to me. "She can't know about this misson. She cares too much about Sollux." I closed my eyes. His vice was really pretty. "L-look. I don't know anything. C-can you back off?" I leaned my head as he got closer. He was almost kissing my neck.
"Look Roxy we can get this over with real quick. Tell me." His voice was nice and almost a purr. "Tell you what? I already told you everythi-" I stopped. His lips were touching my neck. "I don't want to do this, you being drunk and all, but orders are orders." I couldn't pull away. This was wrong. In so many ways. But, i liked it. It felt good. I havn't felt anything like this in forever.
"Roxy, tell me where the student ran off to. What was the last thing he said to you?"
"Can't a girl have some space? I told you everything."
"So, your not important anymore."
I stopped. I felt... in pain. I looked down to see i was bleeding. Alot. I looked up at Dirk who was smirking and he pulled out a dagger from my side.
"D-dirk i... i thought..." "I'm sorry Roxy... Orders are orders... i'll treat the stab in the morning. If you make the night."
Then, he was up and out. He just left me to bleed out. Was i going to make it? Lord knows. My white bed sheets are ruined.
