Author's Note: I am changing out the other Chapter 1 that I had made up during my concussion days back in Jan 2008. I have gotten all of my memories back on Nov 2018 and I dug through my cloud files and found this real Chapter 1 that I wrote on the date below. I do apologize for posting the other Chapter 1.

Chapter 1 The Dream

Zoey

Zoey was leaning on the light-blue lockers as she watched the other kids just walking around before school was about to start. Then she had turned her head around and noticed a black-haired young man. The boy was known for his amazing, good looks, tanned skin, and for being popular with the girls.

'It's the one and only Mark who's basically known as my ex-crush,' Zoey thought bitterly to herself as she gave him a quick glance.

It has been a little over a year since Mark, had denied his feelings for her. Zoey had also wondered if Mark was talking behind her back to his friends. However, to this day she could care less what Mark had thought of her. Now that she was over him, she could think about more important things in life.

Like saving Tokyo from cyniclons, hanging out with the Mew Mew's more often, and have mani/pedi days with Megan and Mimi. There were so many things that Zoey had never thought about before. Well, that was before things had changed for her. Zoey continued to watch Mark and his friends being so carefree and happy. She could hear the boy's conversation trailing over to her at the lockers from down the hallway.

"So how close are you with Zoey?" A blonde-haired guy asked Zoey in a joking tone.

'Who is that blonde guy? No way! It cannot be… It is Elliot Grant!' Zoey practically almost screamed out loud.

Zoey had watched Elliot talking to Mark casually. He couldn't have been Mark's best friend. Elliot looks to be the type of guy who is a loner. However, unlike Mark all the girls practically threw themselves at him. Her best friends, Megan and Mimi are stalking him like he's a superstar and Zoey hated that so much.

Megan still has a huge crush on Elliot. She still remembered when Megan had made her play Cupid to ask Elliot out for her. Zoey had dreaded the day she had to play Cupid, and then come to find out Elliot never even liked her. Zoey couldn't believe the torture she had gone through for nothing. The memories of Zoey's best friends were interrupted with laughter.

"What's going on with you and Zoey?" Elliot asked Mark curiously.

"Why are you even asking me that?" Mark asked Elliot annoyed with the question.

"Because I want to know if you are into her or not," Elliot said to Mark in a cool tone.

"She's not the girl that I am…" Mark trailed off on the end of his sentence.

Zoey had heard what Mark was trying to say to Elliot. Even though she was leaning on the school lockers listening to everything they were talking about. Nevertheless, at the same time she was debating on whether to walk over there to them or blend into the lockers and pretend that she didn't hear anything. Zoey walks behind Mark's back through the crowded hallway quietly as possible.

"I am not the kind of girl that you are looking for?" Zoey asked Mark as she raised her voice loud enough for him to hear.

Mark had turned around in horror to see Zoey right in front of him. Elliot was surprised that Zoey had the guts to go behind Mark's back.

"Why are you even over here?" Mark asked Zoey angrily.

"Why are you talking about me behind my back?" Zoey asked Mark as she put her hands on her hips.

"I thought that you were not even here," Mark said to Zoey through his gritted teeth.

"Excuse me for still living!" Zoey said to Mark in a bitter sarcastic tone.

"I don't know who you think you are!" Mark said to Zoey furiously.

"You have changed! I don't know what your problem is at all," Zoey said to Mark in a quivering tone.

"Hey Elliot! I think Zoey is PMS'ing!" Mark said to Elliot as he gave Zoey a smirk.

Her face had turned beet red from the embarrassment. No boy had ever made her feel shamed the way Mark and Elliot did. Zoey had walked away from the two boys. She was too ashamed to look at them for the last time.

Algebra 2 class

Zoey was alone on an unknown planet. She had no idea where she was, or why she was even there. All she knew was what outfit she was wearing. Zoey's hair is light pink, and she is wearing a pink dress, mahogany boots, and a black cat tail with a mahogany bow including cat ears, and her power pendant. Therefore, she knew that she had somehow transformed into Mew Zoey.

Mew Zoey was at her high school standing in the hallway facing a shadow of a human. However, Mew Zoey had no idea who the shadow was the human had appeared before her reddish-pink eyes. It was Mark who boldly stood face-to-face an inch away from her.

"You have changed on me, Mew Zoey." Mark said to Zoey.

"What do you mean by that?" Mew Zoey asked Mark in a timid voice.

Mew Zoey could hear her haunting question echoing all over the hallway repeatedly.

"I have no feelings for you. So why can't you just accept that?" Mark said to Mew Zoey coldly.

Mew Zoey couldn't believe that Mark was acting so cold and distant around her. She could handle risking her life to save the world numerous times but hearing this from Mark was something that she never wanted to hear again.

"Quit trying to make me like you." Mark said to Mew Zoey now feeling agitated with her already.

"After risking my life for you I can't believe that you had the nerve to say that." Mew Zoey said to Mark sadly.

Mark's body was glowing into an aquamarine color. Mew Zoey was wondering if Mark was turning into Deep Blue or the Blue Knight.

"Mark?" Mew Zoey asked the glowing body of Mark.

"I am no longer Mark; I am Deep Blue your worst nightmare." Deep Blue said to Mew Zoey.

Deep Blue's words were already haunting through Mew Zoey's mind. She had felt powerless over Deep Blue now.

"I hate you, Deep Blue!" Mew Zoey shouted out to Deep Blue.

[Zoey's dream ends]

Renee

The university scene was nothing but chaos and havoc everywhere on the campus. The college freshman/former superstar and dancer named Renee Roberts. Like average universities it's known for having the hugest parties. Renee knew that college would be way harder than high school. Even though she's working at Café Mew Mew part-time and must save the world with the rest of the Mew Mew's full time. Renee wonders how she is going to balance all of that for her first term.

Renee was in her dorm room just resting on her little bed. Wondering about everything that has been going on in her life. There on her drawer was a picture frame of a boy. Renee had grasped the picture frame of him. The picture showed a spiky red head guy who looked to be in his early twenties. He had a nice tan, green eyes, and a masculine figure.

'Ichiro Hayashi why did you have to break my heart?' Renee thought to herself sadly as she put the picture frame down on her drawer.

Renee was thinking about everything that she never even wanted to think about. Like her career, school, the Mew Mew's, saving the world and leaving her heartbreak behind.

Bridget

Bridget is the shy girl at her school. She really doesn't speak to many people in either one of her classes. Even though she's smart, nice, and sweet doesn't mean everybody wants to talk to her or befriend her either. However, Bridget has something else on her mind. Her mind was on Elliot Grant, and she was wondering why he didn't like her.

Now that she had learned to accept the truth. Bridget didn't crush on another boy ever since Elliot had started liking Zoey. She knew that she couldn't bear to crush on another guy right now.

'I know now that Elliot and Zoey belong together. But I now do understand that love hurts whenever your heart's broken too many times to count.' Bridget thought to herself bitterly as she walked down the hallway.

She was feeling alone without the other Mew Mew's by her side. However, that didn't matter because she had her classical books in her satchel to keep her company.

Corina

Meanwhile, Corina was trying to go through a normal school day at her private school. However, she also had to go through some drama with Kanna Saionji her "eternal rival" who hated her guts.

"Corina what have you been up to lately?" Kanna asked Corina inquisitively as she flipped her hair off her shoulder.

Corina had to think carefully about what she was going to say to Kanna. There was no way she was going to let it slip out that she's Mew Corina who saves the world along with the rest of the Mew Mew's. But then again Kanna is known as the gossiper in the whole school.

"Everything is okay with me." Corina said to Kanna in a fake cheerful tone.

"So do you have a boyfriend, yet?" Kanna asked Corina as she gave her a wink.

"What is it with you and your boy crazy mind?" Corina asked Kanna annoyed with her randomness.

"For a ballerina you can dance real gracefully, but as a girl still single you have no chance of getting a boyfriend." Kanna said to Corina as she gave her a little smirk.

"You seriously have OCD when it comes to boys," Corina said to Kanna as she rolled her dark blue eyes.

Kanna gave Corina a hateful glare in front of the whole class as they laughed at what Corina had just said. Kanna had felt the embarrassment from her classmate's laughter starting to get to her.

'It serves Kanna right! She should have known not to mess with me in the first place.' Corina thought to herself as she looked at Kanna, who was still looking ashamed and feeling powerless.

Kikki

Kikki who is in the seventh grade goes to a junior high school. The energetic Mew girl had felt like a total outcast. Then that had changed when Tarb had started showing up at her school.

"Hey Kikki!" A voice shouted out to Kikki from the school's hallway.

Kikki had turned around towards the voice. To her surprise, it was none other than Tarb.

"What is it, Tarb?" Kikki asked Tarb curiously.

"Kikki how is everything doing for you?" Tarb asked Kikki.

"Well, nobody wants to be my friend." Kikki said to Tarb with sadness lingering in her voice as she walked away to attend homeroom.

Kikki was now in her homeroom class as she realized that she was missing out on something. Friendships were really all about building a relationship with other people. Not just to have friends and say that you are not alone in the school's society.

She was even wondering if Tarb could be a friend to her or not. Kikki liked it better when she was in grade school. Because she didn't have to worry about the "in-crowd" and who knows what else that goes on in junior high.

Kikki opened her notebook that laid on her desk and glanced over at the first page. She took out her pen from her backpack and started writing a poem about Tarb.

My True Friend

You were the one who was there for me whenever I felt blue.

I knew that I always could count on you for being there for me.

My true friend has golden-yellow eyes and funny pointy ears.

Even though he's an alien and I am human.

Doesn't mean that my true friend is differentiated.

He was the one to take all my loneliness away.

Whenever people would taunt me and call me a loser.

You were the one that I always thought about.

You are my true friend after all my dearest Tarb.
