It took Darcy long enough, but she had finally made it into the country side of Romania. Lina's home… Darcy could feel her friend's raging emotions still, but they were different now. Lina thought it a good idea for a blood exchange with Darcy after they had moved in together. Now Darcy thanked that blood exchange every moment she was without Lina, especially right this moment as Lina's confusion began to overwhelm her. Darcy needed to find the temporary cave ASAP. The wind blew restlessly as Darcy neared the cave her emotional friend was in. Her emotions fueled a small storm brewing nearby and Darcy began to worry. My beloved friend. Please calm yourself. This is only going to bring us attention. Darcy tried calming Lina, unsure what it would bring.
Lina felt Darcy brush gently against her temples finally blocking out Olivier's hold on her. Darcy, I love you! Lina smiled answering her friend, hoping she was unable to read her joy and distress over losing Olivier's hold on her. She already missed the musky, earthy scent of his skin. She missed the flow of his wavy chocolate hair. She missed the feel slick, hot skin against her. And she hated herself for it.
Lina needed Darcy there NOW! Darcy could feel it. There was something wrong inside her. Darcy was uncertain if even Lina knew it herself. I'm almost there. Wait just a moment before you start placing the safeguards. Be ready, Lina. We have a long night ahead of us. Darcy warned knowing Lina's emotional storm was only growing, not dissipating any as it should have. If Darcy didn't get there quickly, they may have a full scale battle on their hands. Only God could help them then, if Lina didn't control herself soon.
Did you really just do that?! Lina's voice angrily brushed against Darcy's temples. Darcy knew how Lina hated religion. Yet she couldn't help going back to god in such times. I was just thinking. Don't over react again Lina. He's my god remember that. Darcy answered knowing Lina couldn't argue. They had agreed they were to believe separately, anyone could believe how they pleased. And Darcy had grown up in a very religious, very Christian family. God was never Lina's strong suit, but she could at least accept Darcy believed as she did.
Meu amour… Your anger hurts me too. Why are your emotions so erratic? Olivier's husky, smooth voice brushed against Lina's temples again as if he were brushing his fingertips across her forehead gently. All Lina could think was that she wished he was brushing much more than just her forehead…
"LINA!" Darcy pulled her out of it as she ran towards her into the small cave she had picked for them quickly. The joy of seeing her beloved friend after such a horrid few days without her filled Lina with such joy that even Olivier couldn't break through their bond. "DARCY!" Lina screamed racing toward her. They embraced quickly holding onto each other for dear life. They both swore they'd never leave each other again right that moment as their arms slowly unlocked around each other.
"It's been too long." Darcy laughed knowing they'd only been apart approximately 3 days. Lina smiled nodding in agreement with her. "Way too long." She said as she slowly walked away, not wanting to miss another moment with her best friend after being apart but knowing she had to safeguard them now or they'd have problems.
"It's time, Lina. Cough it all up and tell me or I'm pulling it out myself." Darcy said as she turned toward Lina watching her safely guard their temporary quarters. Lina finished the safeguards rather quickly, but efficiently, looking back at Darcy. "I need some rest. Let's get changed and get our things sorted tonight before anything else." Lina dodged Darcy knowing her threats weren't very reliable against Lina anyway.
I'll get you Lina Dubrinsky. You aren't out of danger yet, and I'll make sure you tell me one way or another. Darcy thought watching Lina begin unpacking their things making lists of each item in her head.
