Yay! I'm no longer sick, and I'm on winter break currently. There isn't anything in the way of me getting my chapters in late for the next week! Hooray! And Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it! And a Happy New Year! I know it's not Christmas today, but it falls on Thursday so, here is an early season greeting to you. There is an important moment in this chapter! Something big! Go read and find out! Now!
Isabelle and Simon had tried getting rid of the annoying sparkle that was constantly there. But no matter how hard the scrubbed at the walls and floors, not a thing would work. They continuously racked their brains the whole day of what they would be doing in revenge of Magnus and Alec.
Isabelle was laying on her stomach, sprawled on the couch complaining while Simon was picking at the glitter coated walls with a knife. He thought if he couldn't scrub the sparkles away, then he would dig. "It's no use!" Isabelle groaned into the cushion of the couch. "Magnus probably put a spell on it!"
Simon pulled the knife away from the wall and let out an annoyed sigh. "These damn sparkles are giving me a headache. It's so bright and shiny in here, I feel like I'm going through an LSD trip."
Isabelle laughed and looked up from the couch. Simon was sitting on the floor next to the wall surrounded by kitchen utensils. He was working for nearly his third hour, and nothing, at all, had changed from the glittery wall. "We just need to get them back." Isabelle made her hand into a fist.
"I know, but we can't think of anything…" Simon threw his back onto the floor and sighed. "It's not like they are going to take away the glitter.
"I have an idea." Isabelle said after a moment.
"And what is that…" Simon said rubbing his eyes.
"Well it's not exactly a prank that's going to leave them devastated or anything…" Isabelle thought. "It's not really that good. But what if we targeted Alec's car?"
Simon pulled his hands down from his eyes and smiled up at his girlfriend. "Let's do it, I'm in."
As Magnus and Alec woke up the next morning they had a normal day. They decided that no pranking would be done since they had just pranked Maryse and Tessa, and Simon and Isabelle just yesterday. Once they woke up, it was a simple day.
And then suddenly they were hearing a sudden commotion going on in the parking garage from downstairs. Magnus pulled Alec up off of the couch he was resting on with reluctance and they both walked downstairs and outside into the parking garage.
The closer they had gotten, they could hear a car alarm going off and some people crowded around a couple standing in the corner of the garage. Magnus and Alec tried shoving through the crowd. And standing there, surrounded by these angry people that were nearly about to tear them to shreds, was Simon and Isabelle.
Isabelle and Simon drove away in the car quickly, planning a small prank for Magnus and Alec. They didn't know if Alec or Magnus would be coming across this prank anytime soon. But they might as well give it a shot. They were just simply going to lay some pranks around in Alec's car.
First they bought the confetti, then the paint, and then a ball pit they would fill the car with. They pulled into the little parking garage that Alec had his car parked at and exited their car. They looked for Alec's beat-up old car and once they spotted it in the front of the garage they headed straight to it.
The multi colored ball pit was still in the car which they waited until last to use, but the other things they needed were in Isabelle's purse waiting to be placed. Simon grabbed the car door handle and went to open the door. But instead, the door stayed shut and let a numerous number of alarms sound from the car.
Isabelle looked at Simon worriedly and he backed away from the car. "I thought Alec didn't leave his car locked?" Simon asked panicked.
"He normally doesn't!" Isabelle yelled over the loud alarm that just continued and echoed through the garage. Suddenly voices could be heard coming from the entrance of the parking garage and when Simon and Isabelle turned around, the people were walking towards them and they didn't look very happy with them.
There were many shouts and threats directed at them and someone was even holding a bat in their hand, thinking they may have needed to use it. Simon and Isabelle didn't understand why all of these people were so angry at them for trying to break into Alec's car. It's not like any of the people here knew who Alec was, or that he was even straying there. That's when it suddenly dawned on them that the car they just tried to get into was not Alec's car. When Simon peaked his head over the mob of people, he could see a car that looked very similar to the one they just tried to get into sitting in the other side of the garage. And that was actually Alec's car.
Isabelle and Simon ducked their heads and put their hands up in surrender, saying it was all just accident and it wasn't meant to be whoevers car it was. But with all the shouting and the alarm going off, they couldn't be heard. Suddenly all of the people froze, and the shouting and screaming stopped with the car alarm all at once. Magnus and Alec were standing in front of them with their arms crossed and a smirk on their faces.
"What brings you two here?" Magnus smiled. Isabelle and Simon turned dark red and stood up straight.
Isabelle and Simon both sighed in defeat. "You got us…" Isabelle rolled her eyes and pouted. Simon smiled and laughed, but felt sad and disappointed.
"Yup…" Magnus laughed, wrapping his arm around Alec and pulling him closer to him. "Next time you prank someone's car, make sure you go to the right car instead of someone else's."
"Well it oddly looks a lot like Alec's car," Simon whined and pointed between the two similar looking cars in the parking garage. "We never thought someone would have an awful beat-up car like Alec's and we would break into it on accident."
"Well you did," Alec laughed.
Magnus laughed with him and his smile turned into an evil grin. "Now we are one of the two teams left." And with that, Magnus snapped his fingers and was he gone with Alec.
The people that were frozen in the room, turned back to normal. And hoping Magnus and Alec would fix their situation, but the alarm blared through the air, and so did the shouts of the other people. They weren't getting out of this soon.
They stood inside Magnus and Alec's flat with smiles. They had to get into the house to do the spell, and they only needed a minute to get it done, and they could leave. Luckily Simon and Isabelle made a distraction for them so they could do this easily without the worry of Alec or Magnus finding them.
They set up pranks all around the house. Like what Isabelle and Simon had done to them. Except instead of pranks setting around, they were spells. The spells were simple and it took Tessa less than a second to cast and move on to the others.
Eventually Tessa was done, the spells all set around the flat silently waiting to be found. Maryse smiled evilly and quickly dragged Tessa out of the flat so Magnus and Alec didn't find them up there.
When Maryse and Tessa were searching through the books they couldn't settle on one spell they would find. So all of the pranks that still set around the Institute gave her the idea that they could do the same thing, except with magic.
And then the next thing they knew, they were already planning it, and finished it. Once Maryse and Tessa walked out of the building, Magnus and Alec weren't even outside anymore. And it looked like Isabelle and Simon were getting devoured by the angry crowd of people. Maryse and Tessa laughed, they were so close to winning, they just knew it.
Magnus felt guilt when he flashed Alec and himself back to their living room. He could have gotten rid of those people, but he figured that half of the pranks that were played on them, were probably Simon and Isabelle's.
Alec walked back to where he was sitting on the couch. "I can feel the victory!" He exclaimed, plopping onto the couch. And once he did, purple smoke and dust exploded from the couch and clouded the air around it. "What?!" He yelled surprised.
Magnus was shocked, his mouth hanging open as he laughed loudly. Alec jumped up from the couch, swatting at the purple cloud and coughed. He ran over to Magnus in confusion.
"Wh-w-what did you d-do?" He stuttered his hands motioning dramatically at the purple cloud that was fading in the air now.
Magnus calmed his fit of laugher and looked at his boyfriend in amusement. "I don't know but that, was genius!" He exclaimed and laughed loudly again, making Alec blush of embarrassment and anger.
Alec walked back over to the recovered couch and swatted his hand onto the bottom cushion, where more purple dust flew out of it at the hit. Magnus laughed again. "What are we going to do about our couch?" Alec said, sadly looking down at the couch.
"We can get a new couch, don't cry about it." Magnus laughed at the pouting shadowhunter. "I'll be right back." Magnus rubbed Alec's back before walking away to the kitchen. When he went through the entrance, something shocking happened. He wasn't exactly sure how, or why. When he put opened the door he was suddenly drenched from head to two in syrup.
Magnus screamed at the top of his lungs for Alec. And immediately the boy was running to him in seconds. Alec saw Magnus and busted into a loud hysteria like Magnus had done with him. Magnus was covered and coated from head to toe in syrup, and he did not look happy.
Magnus looked curiously above the door and around it, but he couldn't find any reason to why this happened and how, except magic. Magnus smirked at that and flashed away the syrup that was on his clothes and floor. Alec was still trying to get over his outbreak of laughter and Magnus was about to duct tape his mouth shut by this point. But luckily Alec regained himself and looked back up at Magnus.
"Sorry…" Alec sighed, a smile still on his face.
"Its fine," Magnus smiled at him. "But this isn't over. We will get back at them, and we will win."
Ohhhhh… Magnus isn't very happy with Tessa or Maryse. I really hope you guys like the new chapter. And I it was okay, yet I still somewhat doubt it… But anyways, what do you think. I can't think of any good ideas for pranks anymore. I'm running out! I just can't think. So if you have any good ideas, please tell me! It means a lot. I love hearing your feedback and ideas! You're all amazing!
