Maryse could sense Magnus' anger the moment he was done grieving over his 'children'. He immediately rushed into his office, pulling out spell books and gathering some ingredients. "Magnus?" Maryse leaned in the doorway of the office. "What in the world are you planning?" Magnus was still in his bright colorful pajama's. Maryse most likely expected him to stay in them until he got his clothes back. She never realized how much this man loved his bright clothes and colorful glitter.
"I'm still figuring that out myself. But they will pay for what they did! Nobody! Touches my glitter! Nobody..." Magnus furiously flipped through the pages of the spell books. He let out a frustrated groan every time he had to switch to a new book, looking for a certain potion or spell.
He suddenly stopped on a page and his eyes lit up. "Perfect." He muttered and picked up the book, approaching Maryse.
She smiled, seeing the exciting glow mixing with the evil in his eyes. "What is it?" Maryse asked. He stood next to her, holding the book in front of her. His slender ringed finger pointed a certain spell and she read. Magnus' smile brightened when Maryse grinned as she read the print he was pointing to.
"So…" Magnus pulled the book back towards him and nearly began to jump in excitement. "What do you think?"
"It's a great idea Magnus." She smirked. "Now If I were you, I would hurry and cast that spell before they wake up. It wouldn't be smart to cast this while they are awake."
Magnus lifted his hands up near his chest, blue sparks emitting from his fingers as he chanted the spell. His eyes closed, and head tiled down as he spoke into the blue sparks, Maryse watched in amazement. When Magnus was done casting the spell, the blue sparks slightly faded away and he looked back up at Maryse, letting his hands fall to his side.
Alec awoke in a different room than he had fallen asleep in. His room was a dull grey room, black bed sheets, and only adorned with some bookshelves with no décor. But he wasn't in his dull simple room. He was asleep in one of the many guest rooms. This one was like all of the others. A small bed for one, a desk sitting in the corner and a small bookshelf in the room. Some décor of flower pots and beautiful paintings hanging around the room. This room seemed to currently be in use for a shadowhunter.
The dresser had some drawers opened, clothes spilling out of them. There were some objects sitting around the room that wasn't provided by the institute. Alec then realized something about himself. Well… He wasn't.
Alec sat up, a thin night gown on his body, and brown hair spilling over his shoulders and down the mid-length of his back. Alec began to breathe heavily and shot up from where he was sitting on the bed. He ran to a full length mirror sitting in the room and looked at his strange self.
Instead of the ratty pajama's he had slept in, he was wearing a light floral night gown. And the most important thing. He was a girl. Instead of a strong, muscular shadowhunter with his messy dark hair and stunning blue eyes. He had a small female figure, with cloudy grey eyes and long flowing brown hair.
He was Tessa. Alec had a sudden feeling of crying, but he stopped himself and stormed up to his room. He walked up to his room, a floor above where he was, and walked up to his door. Before he suddenly barged in, he knocked.
When the door opened, a tired version of himself was standing there in front of him, rubbing his eyes. "Alec?" he mumbled, she looked up and when no one was there he looked back down and her eyes widen they met Alec's.
"Tessa?" Alec asked in surprise. Alec looked at himself, which he guessed was really Tessa, as she began to stumble and then fall to the floor, passed out.
"No way…" Alec whispered to himself. He tried to pull Tessa, who was stuck in his body, up off the ground. But now that he was almost half his size, it was completely impossible to move her.
He just sat on the ground next to her and tried to get her to awaken. After a lot of yelling and shaking, he slapped her and she awoke with a gasp. It was still strange to Alec, looking at himself interact, without him doing it.
"What in the literal hell is going on?" She nearly yelled. Seeing himself speak almost made Alec pass out himself.
"I have no idea…" Alec sighed.
"So…" Tessa put her hands to her face. "I'm guessing that this is the work of a certain warlock and shadowhunter."
"Also known as Magnus and Maryse," Alec spoke. "Then yes."
Tessa looked at herself. A ratty black shirt and thin plaid pajama pants. "So I'm you…" She looked back up. "And you're me?"
"Guess so." Alec said, somewhat startling himself by the higher pitch voice that he now had. "What the hell?" He spoke to himself.
"Did stealing your boyfriend's clothes and glitter really piss him off that much?" Tessa spoke astonished.
"Well," Alec smiled. "Magnus really loves his glitter."
"Yeah." Tessa said. "I realized that. I figured he would probably prank back, but I didn't think that he would go this far!"
"Neither did I." Alec agreed.
"Well, you know what this means." Alec smirked.
"What?" Tessa asked.
"It's our turn to prank." Alec said with an evil glare shinning in his eyes.
Later that day, Tessa was still getting used to the fact that she was no longer herself. It probably wouldn't be so awkward if she were still with Maryse. She's a girl. And she's only shape shifted into a man maybe a few times. She normally shape shifted into females. And if she ever had shape shifted into a man, it was only for a short time, she wasn't exactly how sure they were going to be stuck like this.
Alec was having Tessa help him go through spell books to find a good spell to curse the house or them. Currently, spells were the safest way to go when pranking. Maryse and Magnus were probably expecting them to prank them soon, and were probably keeping a look out to see if they tried to break in the flat.
Tessa grabbed the next spell book on the shelf, throwing the other book into a pile where others were discarded. Alec was racing through the book he had and came to an abrupt stop, smiling and giggling at what was on the page. Tessa just wanted to cringe in seeing herself do that but not be in power of it. Alec stood up from where he was sitting on the floor and walked over to Tessa.
He sat on the wooden floor next to her and handed her the book. Tessa read over the spell that he pointed at with shaking hands. She smiled and nodded her hand. "Good idea Alec." Tessa grinned. Before she said anything else, she went to chant the spell that was written in the book, but nothing was happening. She looked at the spell, chanting it again, expecting the golden bright sparks to appear from her hands and fingers. But as she did, looking down at Alec's scarred hands, she suddenly realized what was wrong.
"Why isn't it working?" Alec scooted closer to her.
"I think that you're going to have to do it." Tessa dropped her hands on her legs. "I think since we switched bodies, my powers are no longer with me, and you'll have to do it."
"I don't exactly know how to cast spells, and do magicy stuff?" Alec shrugged.
"Well at least try," Tessa whined. "I'll show you. It's very simple"
"Well to you it might be!" Alec offended. Tessa just shook her head with a grin, instructing him to chant the spell correctly and make sure nothing goes wrong. Soon Alec was sure he knew what exactly to do, and he casted the spell with perfection.
"Good job!" Tessa cheered. "I'm pretty sure you did right. And if you didn't, then don't worry. Nothing bad will happen to them."
"I thought that was the point of this prank." Alec tilted his head.
"No! This spell isn't going to hurt them. Just make their life hell." Tessa grinned.
Magnus and Maryse were sitting in the living room. Magnus was sprawled on the couch, a small chairman meow sitting atop of his head as he flipped through channels bored. He was still upset about his glitter and clothes. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a white T-shirt with a black vest. He left his boots sitting beside the couch. He spiked his hair with no glitter, but he still had the blue streaks in his hair to give some color to his outfit. Maryse was in the kitchen cooking lunch even though Magnus told her not to bother because he could just get takeout. But then Maryse complained that he wasn't appreciative and told him to stop complaining.
Maryse walked into the living room, her sweater sleeves rolled up and flour dusted over the apron she was wearing. Her hair was tied up as she fanned herself with her hand. "Magnus, can you turn the heat down a little? It feels like a desert in the kitchen." Maryse began rolling her sleeves down. "Jesh, why is it so cold in here?"
"I don't know?" Magnus sat up confused. He walked over to the entrance of the kitchen and opened the door. When he stepped inside, the sudden artic cold changed to a boiling desert. "What the hell?"
Magnus walked over to the thermostat and looked to see that it wasn't even on. He walked back to the living room, the sudden temperature change happened as he walked through the doorway, startling him. He walked over to the bathrooms, where the temperature was very normal. So he proceeded to check the bedrooms, in which they were all filled with a slight fog. The fog looked as if it was almost fading away, when suddenly a drop of water hit Magnus in the eye.
Magnus looked up, where the fog seemed denser and another drop of water hit his cheek. And then suddenly there was a downpour of rain in the room. "What the hell?"
"Magnus!" Maryse shouted from the living room. Magnus slammed the bedroom door in anger and walked back to the living room. Maryse was standing in the middle of the room, small fluffy snowflakes were falling from the ceiling out of nowhere and were beginning to lightly fall to the floor in a thin layer of bright white snow.
"Seriously?" Magnus stared wide eyed in awe as he looked around the room. Maryse walked up to him, arms hugging herself and her teeth chattering loudly.
"I think that prank was a bad idea." Maryse shivered from the cold, grabbing two blankets off of the couch, wrapping one around herself and handing the other to Magnus.
Magnus took the blanket happily and wrapped it around his shoulders, trying to keep warm. "Well there's only one way to settle this…" He smirked. Maryse could see the evil plan form in his mind as he began to walk back to his office once again.
Yay! Thank you again for 50 followers! It means so much! I hope you're enjoying the story!
