Chapter 16
Paths of Fate
After sharpening their respective weapons, the threesome left Mukuro's room and headed towards the underground tunnels.
"Byakuya, wanna make out?" Syo suggested as Byakuya only looked at her.
"By make out, what do you mean?" Byakuya answered as Syo smiled. "We kiss and I kill you of course!" After saying that, a kunai slammed into the undead girl's skull.
"Is that the only thing you ever think about?" A voice announced and the threesome turned around. Misa had decided to follow right behind, whether they wanted her or not.
"That was stupid to point out." Junko announced as the foursome and their digimon headed through.
On the other side, they found themselves in a city. They weren't sure which city that really was, but it fitted the bill.
"At least it isn't the school." Junko remarked as the group just stood there. In the distance, a small cat was slowly approaching them, for some reason.
Empress Emblaze!
A purple flame appeared in Lilithmon's hand, which she promptly threw at the cat. The cat then ran towards them as Byakuya looked at his digimon.
"What?" Lilithmon accused as Byakuya attempted to glare into her soul. "I've met the cat at DLI."
"You realize that's only going to piss it off?" Byakuya answered as Lilithmon looked back towards him.
"It was coming towards us anyway." The SHSL knight sighed as they watched the creature approach. On further inspection, the "cat" turned out to be a blackgatomon, but not one the foursome had seen before. A bow was attached to each ear and a golden bell hung off its tail.
"Hello Chouko." The digimon remarked and Junko went for her knife.
"What the fuck are you even talking about?" Junko accused as the blackgatomon changed into a teenage girl. Unlike her or Misa, she was dressed in a violet Lolita dress with matching heels and fishnet gloves. Long black trailed down to her knees and two light blue orbs stared back at her. In her hands, were a pair of butterfly swords. A few seconds later, some weird older girl appeared beside her. Unlike her younger counterpart, she was dressed in a black jumpsuit with a red claw instead of her right hand.
"No talk. Just blades and digimon." Both girls nodded and each pulled out a D-3.

In the Girl and LadyDevimon's place, stood a Lilithmon dressed in a green dress and a LadyDevimon in a green variant of her outfit.
"Now can we fight?" Draoniamon inquired and the girl nodded.
Draonia Blaze!
Two fireballs shot of the dragoness's longswords, heading right towards LadyDevimon GM.
Gaia Wave!
LadyDevimon GM shot out a wave of green bats, only to collide with the fireballs. As that happened, the two chosen sparred.
"You still haven't answered my question." Junko claimed and the girl laughed.
"We were once partners." The girl answered as an awkward silence followed. "And then things changed."
"What are you even talking about? Veemon is all I've ever had!" The girl knocked Junko's knife out of her hands. "What is your proof?"
"The proof is right in front of you." Junko looked down at the D-3 around her neck. "Have you forgotten the gifts you've been given?"
The girl walked away humming something under her breath.
"Come back!"
"I'm certain our paths will soon cross once again."
Mere seconds later, the digimon human thing was out of sight. What followed next, was a chat log and Misa leaving off to do something along with Syo also running off to kill someone.
"Now what?" Draoniamon remarked as she reverted back to Veemon.
"We head to the train station of course." Byakuya answered as he and Lilithmon headed off. "Are friends will probably catch up to us there."
So, they made their way over to the train station. Other than the slightly enlarged entrance, it was a nice looking place. The duo got their tickets and decided to take a nap...
She found herself in a void. It wasn't that interesting of a place, just black nothingness all around her.
"Where am I?" Junko inquired as a hollow laugh echoed around her.
"Hello Junko." The former fashionista turned around, finding the old version of herself standing before her.
"Why do you taunt me with that?" Junko shouted, pulling her knife out and stabbing it into the clone. The clone fell backwards, shattering into dust. She took a deep breath and smiled...
