Chapter 17

(A/N: Hey guys! In the beginning of the GMG, I forgot to mention that there will be five days in the games, because there is still a lot more excitement coming up that will take more than four days in the games, but if you guys think there should be more or less days, tell me. Anyway, onto the story!)

"Everyone, welcome to the third day of the Grand Magic games!" Chapati cheered. The entire crowd roared in excitement.

"Today, we'd like to welcome Rahar as our special guest of the day." said Yajima.

"It's my honor to be here." said Rahar.

As that was going on, all of the guilds were preparing for the matches they may have to face. Fairy Tail was obviously now keeping a close on Saber Tooth after what happened the other day.

"Alright, the first event of the day is called 'Hunt and Hunted'. Each team will have two participants compete. One will the one targeted and the other will be the one protecting the hunted as well as hunting down other targets. The two will be separated at first, but of they find each other, they are allowed to work together. The goal is take down the hunted and avoid the hunters. The hunters and hunted can take out other ones and each knock out will equal 2 points." Chapati explained. The names of the participants showed up on the lacrima screens around the entire ring.

Fairy Tail: Erza, hunter. Elfmen, hunted.

Saber Tooth: Rufus, hunter. Juvia, hunted.

Saitan's Light: Female Knight/Zorra, hunter. Male Knight(magic unknown), hunted.

Black Knights: Sen, hunter. Ray(silver hair) hunted.

Mermaid Heel: Arana, hunter. Milliana, hunted.

Quatro Cerberus: Jager, hunter. Nobarly, hunted.

Blue Pegasus: Jenny, hunter. Ren, hunted.

Lamia Scale: Toby, hunter. Jura, hunted.

"Looks like we're up." said Rufus.

"Rufus, you better take of Juvia. Especially with Fairy Tail and Jura." Lucy said with a serious tone. Rufus also saw Rogue glaring at him which was telling him the same thing.

"Lucy, Rogue, I can take care of myself." Juvia said, slightly blushing.

"Even so, I will do my best." said Rufus.

The two then left the balcony where their friends stayed and went down to the ring. Once all of the teams were present, almost everyone was teleported into a forest of giant trees while some were teleported to open fields and others were on cliffs.

"You may begin." said Yajima.

Everyone began to run through whatever terrain that surrounded. The first battle that broke out was Rufus vs. Milliana. Rufus easily dodged all of her attacks and beat her with one attack.

Saber Tooth points: 31

The next fight to happen was Jura vs. Nobarly and Jager. Jura obviously won the fight.

Lamia Scale points: 23

Arana then came upon Ray, who used speed magic along with a silver sword that beat her with one move.

Black Knights points: 35

Later on, Erza ran into Sen. The fight was longer than others, but in the end, Erza won. She also beat Toby later on.

Fairy Tail points: 27

Somewhere else, Juvia ran into Elfmen. Or, more like ambushed him and made him fall unconscious to avoid a fight.

Saber Tooth points: 33

While all of these fights were going on, the two red knights found each other and only took on Jenny at the moment.

Later on, Juvia and Rufus found each other and went back to searching for more opponents. After walking for a few minutes and coming upon another open field, they could see their next opponent, Jura.

"Ah. The two from Saber Tooth and the former member of Fairy Tail." Jura said.

"Ah crap." thought Juvia.

"Do not worry Juvia. I think I can take him." said Rufus. After taking a few steps forward, he began to use magic.

"MEMORY MAKE: NIGHT OF FALLING STARS!" Rufus chanted. Multiple lights were sent flying towards Jura from above.

"IRON ROCK WALL!" Jura chanted. Pillars of rock then moved above him and took all of the hits from Rufus's spell.

"Forgive me, but I'm afraid I must cut this fight short." said Jura. After putting his hands together, the ground began to rumble.

"Rufus, be careful!" yelled Juvia, who was struggling to keep her balance.

"RUMBLING MT. FUJI!" Jura shouted. Suddenly, a bright light emerged from beneath the area in front of him, which engulfed Rufus. Once the light vanished, Rufus fell to the ground on his back.

"Rufus!" Juvia exclaimed, running to her friend's side. When she reached him, he was completely out cold.

Now, Juvia had to face one of the wizard saints, all by her self. Unconsciously, her body was trembling.

"Do not worry, Juvia. I will make this quick." said Jura as he approached Juvia. She began to take a few steps back.

"If you wish, you could run. That way you wouldn't get hurt." said Jura.

Juvia stopped shaking and moving completely from hearing that. Multiple memories run through her mind about people telling her to stay back or to run. She began to grow more and more angry.

"You're saying...I should just stay out of the way...like I'm worth nothing?!" Juvia hissed.

That's when Jura stopped approaching her. Juvia's body began to give off steam and a bright light began to come out of her eyes that were staring at the ground. At the stands where her friends watched her, they were all curious, except for Lucy.

"What's happening to Juvia?" Rogue asked in concern.

"Don't worry. This is just one technique that she has mastered." Lucy said confidently. That was able to get the two dragon slayer's attention.

"This only happened once during a mission we went on together. One man kept saying she had to be protected, so she snapped. And now, you'll see the results." said Lucy, pointing to the screens.

By that time, Juvia's body was surrounded by steam her eyes were completely glowing. Her head then suddenly snapped up, with an angry expression along with her glowing eyes.

"WATER RAGE: ULTIMATE CYCLONE!" Juvia shouted.

All the steam around her turned into what looked a water tornado that went into the sky and then came down at lightening speed and hit Jura right on the dot, which also created a pillar of water that reached to the skies for a few moments. When all of the dust cleared, Juvia was standing on the edge of the crater she created and at the bottom was Jura unconscious. The crowd at the arena went wild and the people of Saber Tooth were joyful. Lucy was hugging Sting and Rogue was actually smiling wide enough that he almost appeared to blushing.

"From here on out, I'm making a promise to. I will never stay on the side lines again." said Juvia before walking away form the crater.

She then picked up Rufus, put one of his arms over her shoulder and carried him around with her as she looked for more opponents, since she would hate herself if she just left him there, defenseless.
