Okay, so don't kill me. This isn't exactly an update. It's an update about updating, while I finally finish up the next chapter.
First, I'd like to thank everyone who reads this and has been reading up until now. Whether you've been with me since the beginning or only started last week, you've been part of an amazing chapter in my life and I'm so grateful for your kindness and support.
Before you start to worry, THIS MESSAGE IS NOT A GOODBYE. I have always promised that I would not abandon this series without a proper conclusion and I stand by that. 'Sound Of The Revolution' has one chapter left that you'll be getting soon. After that, there will be a follow-up story to tell you what becomes of our boys down the line. I'd love to say I'll be completely finished by December, the 10th anniversary of the series, but I can't make any promises. And there's an exciting reason for that!
Last year, I began producing a webcomic with my husband and a friend of ours. It's called KID RIOT, a young gay Latino speedstar who coaxes his retired hero idol Riot out of retirement to mentor him. With a cast that's diverse in gender, sexuality, and race, KID RIOT shows that anyone can be a hero. We've got a bunch of issues up already, and I don't just co-write - I'm also an artist! I do all the colors and lettering on the book, as well as the lettering on its spin-off title, THE ADVENTURES OF KID RIOT AND THE EVOLUTION. (Kid Riot gets kidnapped by the future. And that's even the spoiler-free summary.)
Not only have we started this venture, but we'll be making our convention debut this June at FlameCon, NYC's first-ever LGBTQ+ comic convention. So anyone who's gonna be there can find me at the table for THE DEMON HOTEL at FlameCon in June!
And that's the name of our website: The Demon Hotel, which is also the name you'll find us under on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram! Please, if you've liked my work over the last few years, check it out. It's a wonderful story. (Plus we're coming up on the introduction of Kid Riot's love interest! You won't wanna miss him.)
Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much. This journey has meant so much to me. I cannot thank you enough for sharing in it with me, and hope you will continue to follow along with my work.
