Chapter 23

What the members of Saber Tooth and everyone in the audience were now looking upon was a true demon. Lucy had just ran her claws over Rufus' chest and at the same time sending him flying. He landed a few feet away with three long slashes that were bleeding over his chest. Rufus then just laid on the ground, writhing in pain.

"Rufus, are you ok!?" Rogue called out. Before Rogue could say or do anything after that, Lucy suddenly appeared in front of him and grabbed his entire face.

"I'd be more concerned about yourself." Lucy said, still wearing her smile. She then slammed the back of his head into the ground and began to drag him across the ground until she flung him into the wall, causing it to again crumble on impact.

"Agh!" Rogue choked out.

"Rogue, no! Lucy, please stop this!" Juvia cried on the brink of tears. Lucy didn't even seem to hear her.

"Don't you remember!? The only ones you actually wanted to take down was Fairy Tail because of what they did to us! Nothing else!" Juvia said.

This time, Lucy actually flinched. Instead of slouching, she now stood straight up with her bangs casting a shadow once again. She no longer had her mad smile. Now, she seemed calm and emotionless. The entire arena also became silent.

"L-Lucy?" Juvia questioned.

"...Fairy Tail...That's right..." murmured Lucy.

She slowly turned her body to the direction of Fairy Tail's stands. She was looking up at them, while still hiding her eyes, and showing no emotions. The five people in the stands, and the exceeds, were all feeling nervous. Soon, they had a reason to be. Lucy's mad smile returned and her eyes were glowing once again, but they showed a killing intent.

"I wanted to wash my hands in their blood!" Lucy hissed.

"No!" cried Juvia.

"Juvia, put her in a water lock!" Sting shouted.

"R-right!" said Juvia. She began to get ready to use the spell, but once again, Lucy used her incredible speed to get behind her and grab her hair.

"Ow! Lucy, please stop this!" Juvia begged, trying to get Lucy to let go, but Lucy didn't listen.

Lucy merely grabbed one of Juvia's arms and then slammed her back against the ground. Juvia coughed up some blood. Lucy then kicked Juvia hard enough in the side to send her a good few meters away.

"Juvia!" said Sting in concern. Sting snapped his head in Lucy's direction, looking upon her with fear and pity.

"Lucy, that's enough!" Ryu shouted as he ran towards Lucy with one sword in hand. Instead of dodging when he swung, she actually just put her arm and the sword shattered on impact.

"No way." Ryu choked out. Lucy shot her hand out and grabbed his neck tightly before throwing him fast enough to make him fall unconscious once he hit the wall. Lucy finally put her attention back on Sting, since he was the only one left.

"Hehe. You're next." Lucy snickered.

"Lucy, I know this isn't you." said Sting. Lucy raced towards him clawed him over his face, causing him to fall to the ground. But, Sting was able to get up, even with the three bleeding claw marks on his face.

"I...I know you wouldn't do this to your friends, or to anyone." Sting said.

Sting tried walking towards Lucy, but she just kicked him in the stomach, hard. Sting skid back a few feet, but he was still standing. He now had a large bruise on his stomach. Lucy let out an annoyed growl. She then charged at him again and grabbed on the arm and threw him a good few feet away before he landed on the ground. Even with all of his wounds, the clawed face, the bruised stomach, broken ribs and hurt back, Sting just got back up and continued to slowly walked towards Lucy, or more liked limped.

"You...wanted to get stronger...but, not like this.." Sting said softly.

Lucy actually backed away just a little bit, still growling in frustration. She then ran towards him and literally tackled him. Lucy was then sitting on his chest and was holding down his arms. Lucy raised her fist, ready to finish him with one blow, as she was still growling at him. Sting winced from pain from her tight grip, but continued to speak to her.

"I know you've suffered enough pain...from Fairy Tail...and just getting back that friend of yours so..." Sting said. As he spoke, he slowly raised his hand and placed it on her cheek.

"Don't cause yourself more suffering...by hurting your friends." Sting finished.

At first, Lucy didn't even seem to flinch. She was still gritting her teeth and her eyes were hidden, but then, tears became visible and she was also trembling. Lucy was actually crying. Her began to turn back into its blonde color and it was returning to its former length. The marks on her arms were vanishing and the outfit she is wearing began to turn back into the outfit she was formally wearing. Lucy was soon completely back to normal. She then made her eyes, which were still watery, visible to Sting.

"Sting! I'm so, so, so sorry!" Lucy cried as she wrapped her arms around Sting's neck, still crying a river. Sting soon wrapped his arms around Lucy.

"It's ok. It'll be alright." said Sting.

"Lucy, thank goodness." Juvia said from where she was lying on the ground.

"I'm...I'm sorry...I-I hurt you...and Juvia...and Ryu...and..." Lucy sobbed. Sting continued to try and calm her down.

"Trust me. It'll be ok." said Sting. Now, everything seemed to be alright once again, but they all forgot about one thing.

"Aw. How touching. But, this fight is far from over." said Akuma.
