Chapter 32

As Juvia and Gray stared each other down, the air around them was quickly becoming thicker. Neither of them spoke a word until Juvia finally spoke.

"Listen Fullbuster, you better know that I no longer have any feeling towards. At least no positive feelings." said Juvia.

"I...I'd figure that would be how you felt." said Gray as he looked at the ground.

"But before we start to fight, I have one question for you." Juvia said, grabbing Gray's attention.

"Why? Why did Fairy Tail suddenly turn on Lucy?" Juvia asked.

Gray's eyes suddenly shrunk and he began to slightly shake. Just from seeing that, Juvia knew that something was up. Now, she was more determined than ever to beat him and get some answers.

"I...I can't answer that." Gray mumbled.

"What!?" Juvia shouted.

"I said I can't answer that!" shouted Gray. Juvia's eyes narrowed as she glared at him and quickly made her hands into fists.

"WATER NEBULA!" Juvia chanted.

Without warning, Juvia attacked Gray. Since the attack was so sudden, Gray had no time to react. The attack hit him head on and sent him flying back into the building behind him. The wall collapsed on impact. Gray slowly pulled himself out of the rubble.

"If you won't tell me, I'll just beat the answer out of you!" Juvia declared.

She created a drill of water and shot it at Gray. This time Gray jumped out of the way this time, so Juvia missed and her attack caused the building to collapse. The dust that was created from it caused Gray to close his eyes. Juvia took this chance and attacked Gray.

"WATER SLICER!" Juvia shouted. A thin blade of water was sent at Gray and hit him right across his chest. He quickly fell onto his back.

"Gah!" cried Gray. Her attack left a long open wound over Gray's chest that blood was coming out of. He soon got back on his feet.

"Juvia wait! I don't want to fight you!" said Gray. Juvia only created a blade of water around her hand and charged at Gray.

"Like I care what you want!" Juvia yelled as she ran at him.

Gray's eyes widen when he heard Juvia say that. All he could do was remember her as the girl who was always following him and never leaving him alone. But deep down, he felt slightly relieved, knowing if he ever got in trouble, Juvia would almost always be there. Now, he knew he could never feel that way anymore. He was then snapped out of his thoughts as he saw Juvia only a foot away. He was luckily able to dodge her blade.

"Alright. Since it's no use talking to you, I guess I have no choice, but to fight." Gray said as he took off his shirt. Juvia gained a slight blush, but quickly got rid of it.

"ICE MAKE: CANNON!" Gray shouted. A massive ice cannon appeared in his hands and a giant chunk of ice was shot at Juvia, but it simply pass through her.

"That won't work on me." said Juvia.

"Figured." said Gray. He got rid of his canon after that.

"ICE MAKE: HAMMER!" chanted Gray. An ice hammer appeared in his hands and he swiftly tried to hit Juvia with it. Juvia was able to dodge it instead of letting it go right through her. She quickly jumped away to attack again.

"WATER CANE!" Juvia chanted. Her was turned into water and was made into a whip-like shape. She hit Gray across the face with her whip, leaving a long scratch over his cheek.

"Crap. ICE MAKE: GYSER!" shouted Gray. Before Juvia could react, an ice pillar came up from under her and quickly engulfed her in ice as it became 7 meters tall.

"ICE MAKE: ARROW!" chanted Gray.

A bow and arrow of ice appeared in his hands as he aimed it at the now frozen Juvia. Gray let go of the arrow as it flew at the pillar of ice. As the two collided, they both shattered and Juvia came falling to the ground, her clothes torn and a few scratches and cuts. She slowly got onto one knee as she tried to stand up.

"C-crap." Juvia cursed. She then noticed Gray towering over her.

"I'm sorry Juvia. But, I have to win this for Fairy Tail." Gray said sadly.

"J-just shut up. Your guild...doesn't deserve the title of the number one guild." said Juvia.

"What?" said Gray. Instead of talking, Juvia glared at him and attacked once again.

"WATER BEAM!" Juvia shouted. A beam of scolding water hit Gray squarely on the chest, sending him tumbling backwards. The attack left a burn mark and a massive bruise on his chest.

"Ow! Damn, how are you this strong!?" Gray questioned. Juvia slowly made her way over to Gray.

"The first time we ever fought, I still had feelings for you. I...I thought you were different..." Juvia trailed over, turning her head away from him.

"I was so alone before I came to Fairy Tail. You all cared for anyone and everyone in the guild, but then...I learned that was just a lie!" Juvia said, trying to hit Gray with a punch, but Gray moved out the way before that happened, so Juvia ended up hitting the ground. Which created a small crater.

"What are you talking about!?" asked Gray after he got back up on his feet.

"What you did to Lucy! Lucy was so kind hearted and cheerful! She still had hope that all of you people in Fairy Tail would notice her again, and everything would go back to normal! But that never happened! Instead, you all called her weak behind her back and completely broke her!" Juvia yelled.

Steam began to form around her like in her fight with Jura, but Gray didn't seem to notice. He was too shocked from what Juvia was saying. His eyes were wide, his mouth hung open, and he seemed to be shaking uncontrollably.

"She...she felt that way?" Gray choked out.

"Of course she did! And after you all betrayed her, her smile, her warm nature, everything was gone for her! Her spirits and I were all she had left before Saber Tooth! Tell me! Tell me Gray! What did Lucy ever do to Fairy Tail!? What did I ever do!?" Juvia screeched at him, now with tears in her eyes and steam cover the whole area around her.

Gray couldn't believe what he was he hearing. He couldn't believe they hurt Lucy and Juvia that badly. Tears were coming out of his eyes and he was still shaking. He clenched his fists tightly and looked away from Juvia, making his bangs hide his eyes.

"Fine. Don't tell me . I'll just finish you off with a move I know will beat you." said Juvia. She raised her hand into the air behind her, like she was preparing to throw something. All the steam around her started to go into her hand, along with some water that came from nowhere.

"It's the move I dedicated to you, but was changed to something more powerful after what you Fairies did." said Juvia.

"N-no way." Gray choked out.

"WINGS OF HATRED!" Juvia shouted.

A whirlpool of water was thrown right at Gray, and it was to massive to dodge. Gray got caught up in the attack and was sent flying after being cut up and having the few clothes he was wearing torn up by the rapid spinning water. He slammed into the ground, unconscious. Juvia walked, or limped over to Gray's unconscious body and glared at him.

"It's over now. Goodbye, Fullbuster." Juvia spat. She then walked away, leaving him there.

The whole arena was in an uproar of excitement from the epic fight between Gray and Juvia.

"Amazing! Juvia has just defeated Gray!" Chapati cheered.

"I must say, that was an incredible fight." said Yajima.

"It was so intense, kabo." said Mato.

Out on the field, Lucy had been watching the whole thing. She landed on a random roof top and watched one of the lacrima screens to watch Juvia's fight. She had a wide smile on her face after seeing how it ended with Juvia beating Gray.

"Way to go, Juvia. You've grown so much." Lucy mumbled. Sadly for Lucy, the moment of happiness didn't last long.

"LUCY!" someone yelled from below.

Lucy was able to quickly recognize the voice. She slowly got up to her feet and turned around to see the person on the ground who had yelled her name. The expression on her face was cold and hateful after she heard the voice. She actually knew that this person was coming thanks to her dragon slayer senses.

"So...you found me after all, didn't you...Dragneel?" Lucy growled.
