Chapter 35

Lucy suddenly charged at Erza and Natsu, who barely dodged Lucy's attack. She ended up hitting the building they were both in front of and the wall came crumbling down.

"Lucy, I told you what you wanted to know, why are you still angry!?" asked Erza. Lucy ran at Erza as she answered her.

"For one thing, you people neglected the one person who was there for me!" Lucy shouted.

She tried kicking Erza, but she ducked under Lucy's leg. Lucy saw this action and quickly used her other leg and kicked Erza's face that was low to the ground. It sent Erza flying away a few feet until she landed flat on her back.

"D-damn." Erza cursed. Erza felt like her whole body was made of stone after that last kick to the face. Next thing she knew, she felt someone grab her ankle.

"And you didn't trust me enough to tell me the truth!" Lucy shouted as she threw Erza.

She was going to slam into the wall, but Natsu got in the way and was able to catch her while skidding back a few feet in the process. He then gently laid Erza on the ground, seeing as she could just barely sit up after those last attacks.

"Lucy, you got what you wanted! Please, stop it!" Natsu shouted.

"Shut it Dragneel! You're part of the whole reason I'm doing this!" Lucy sneered, pointing at him.

"What do you mean?" Natsu asked. Lucy had her bangs cast a shadow over eyes as she grit her teeth and clenched her fists.

"You swore...you, Fairy Tail, you all said you would never betray me...but...that was just another big lie! It broke me! I thought I finally found a family that would never give up on me no matter what! But then, I learned that I was just being tricked and manipulated like I was for almost all of my life! And you people all knew that!" Lucy screeched with tears in her eyes.

Natsu's and Erza's eyes were widen and they both were shaking with tears on the edges of their eyes while they gritted their teeth. They all knew how bad Lucy had it in the past, and hearing the truth of her mother just made them feel even worse for her. And what did they do to show it? They neglected and lied to her.

"Now, for once in my life, I'm going to fix my own problem by myself! And the only way to do that, is to beat Fairy Tail with my own hands." Lucy said after calming down and wiping her tears away.

"So, now that I've explained myself, get up and fight!" Lucy declared.

Natsu and Erza both looked at each other and then at Lucy with serious expressions. They both slowly got back onto their feet, trying their best to ignore the injuries they already had. They both knew it was the best chance they had to finally start over with Lucy. So, Natsu engulfed his fists in flames and Erza re-quipped into her Heaven's wheel armor with two swords in hand.

"Heh. Looks like I made it just in time." a familiar voice called out. They all looked where the voice was coming from and they all saw Gajeel, a little beaten up, coming closer to Natsu and Erza.

"What happened to you?" asked Natsu.

"Had a run in with some of the members with Black Knights, but they were easy to beat." Gajeel smirked. He was simply talking about Rave.

"Guess that means we're in the same boat." said another voice. They all looked the opposite way to see a slightly beaten Laxus.

"And my guess you ran into the last Black Knights member?" asked Erza.

"Yeah, and Jura again. He was stronger than last time, but I still beat him." said Laxus. All of Fairy Tail's team stopped talking and they all got serious looks on their faces as they stared at Lucy.

"Almost all of Fairy Tail's team. Just what I wanted." Lucy snickered. Suddenly a black and gold magic circle appeared under Lucy's feet and a bright light surround Lucy's body. When it died down, she was in her half demon and half angel transformation, along with her wings.

"Now we can get serious." Lucy said. All of Fairy Tail's team and Lucy got into their own battle stances. After a few moments of silence, they all charged.

"HHAA!" they all cried as they all collided.

The Fairy Tail mages and Lucy all fought in a flurry of attacks. Whenever one of them attacked Lucy, she either dodged it or sent an even more powerful attack.

"FIRE DRAGON: TALON!" shouted Natsu. As he tried to hit Lucy, she easily caught his ankle and slammed him into the ground.

"Gah!" Natsu choked out as she coughed up some blood. Lucy then threw him towards his other friends.

"HEAVEN'S WHEEL!" Erza chanted, sending multiple swords at Lucy.

"HEAVEN'S MAGIC: SHEILD!" shouted Lucy. A shield appeared in front of her and all of the swords bounced off. Lucy immediately put down the shield and easily grabbed one the swords that were in mid air and sent flying back at Erza, who easily dodged it.

"IRON DRAGON: IRON CLUB!" Gajeel shout. Lucy surrounded her left arm in a gold light and managed to easily take on his attack.

"Nice try Gajeel." Lucy snickered as she shoved his club back, along with him, into a nearby wall.

"Dammit." Gajeel cursed under his breath.

"LIGHTENING DRAGON: ROAR!" chanted Laxus. Lightening came swirling at Lucy, but she easily used her wings to jump even higher up into the air. She quickly came back down to the ground after the lightening vanished.

"My turn. HELL'S MAGIC: BOMBING!" Lucy chanted, swiping her hand in front of her. Multiple explosions handing in front of Fairy Tail's team and sent them flying back into the building behind them.

"Damn. We're getting nowhere fighting like this." said Natsu.

"It's hard to believe Blondie got this strong." Laxus added.

"We have no choice. We all have to charge at her at once if we want to have a chance." said Erza.

"Looks like the best chance we have." Gajeel said.

The four Fairy Tail mages all stood beside each other and began to gather all of the power they had left. Laxus had lightening surround his body, Natsu had flames engulf his fists, Erza re-quipped into her Purgatory armor, and Gajeel turned his skin into steel.

"Going all out in one last attack? Fine by me." Lucy said.

She had black and gold light begin to swirl around her legs and arms while gold and black light surrounded her body, also making her long hair levitate in the air behind her. The magic power in the area around was becoming so powerful that small chunks of ruble began to float into the air. The air became suffocating. They all stood motionless for what seemed like an endless amount of time, until they all charged once again.

"AAAHHHH!" they all yelled. This time, when they all collided, a massive pillar of light and lightening appeared in the center of the town, along with an explosion, creating a tremendous amount of wind.

"Good lord! The fight between Fairy Tail's remaining mages and Lucy has seemed to escalate at quite a fast rate!" Chapati cheered, seeing the pillar of light.

"I wonder who's still standing after that?" Yajima asked out loud.

"We'll find out soon, kabo." said Mato.

The people in the arena weren't the only people who noticed. The remaining participants in the town also noticed, along with a few other people who were beaten. Sting was busy with Lamia Scale's mages and Juvia was dealing with Milliana.

"What the heck was that?!" most of them exclaimed.

"Lucy!" Sting and Juvia shouted.
