~Cassie's p.o.v.~

When I woke up the next morning, there was sunlight shining on my eyes. I groaned and buried my head into the shoulder of the person still sleeping next to me. "Well well well, what do we have here?" I snapped up, holding the blanket against my chest.

"Sirius! What are you doing in here?" He was standing in the opening of the tent with his arms crossed over is chest and a smirk on his face.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that question, Cassandra?" I glared at him but he continued to look smug.

"Get out of here!" I all but yelled. Remus stirred next to me. "Please!" He shook his head, amused, before walking away and letting the tent flap close shut. I could his laughter fade.

My head fell back against the pillow and let out a breath. I felt Remus stir some more before feeling his arm drape across my stomach. I turned my head to look at him and smiled. "Good morning," he said, smiling back tiredly.

"Morning, did you sleep alright?"

"Surprisingly well for being in a tent and so close to the full moon, must have been the good company." I laughed at that.

"You must not know me as well as you think you do then." He shrugged but continued to smile.

"I know enough," his voice lowered, "trust me."

I felt heat rising to my cheeks and I imagined what I must look like. I raised my hands to smooth down my hair. "I forgot how much I hate sleeping in tents, I'm never going to let Talia talk me into this ever again." He laughed, nodding slightly.

"I don't have that much of a problem with sleeping outside." I rolled my eyes at that.

"Of course you don't, you're a guy, it's all about being tough and not having any fear and peeing standing up and all that shit. Of course you don't care. Plus you live with Sirius nine months out of the year that must have given you some resistance." That actually got a full laugh out of him, forming into a sincere smile.

"Thank you for last night, it helped." I snorted.

"I'll be sure to tell that to your future wife whenever it's around a full moon."

"That's not what I meant, I mean- yeah, that too, but I meant all of it. What you said and did, it just calmed me down I guess. I didn't feel quite so alone." I gave him a warm smile and lightly placed my hand on his arm.

"It's alright, Remus, you'll be fine. I know you will."

I had almost thought that things would become awkward around us after that night; but it didn't. In fact we had gotten much closer. I didn't want to sleep with him again, once was enough, but we had grown closer as friends. "Are you all right, Cass?" I looked up at Talia, who was giving me a concerned expression.

I nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine, just thinking." She gave me a sympathetic smile.

"Everything will be fine, don't worry." I had known from the start that this summer wouldn't last forever, however much I tried to forget. We were leaving Italy soon and it's only a matter of time before we make our way to Bulgaria and the Quidditch World Cup, where I just knew my father would be waiting for me. I took a deep breath and continued to pack my clothing into my bag. Part of me wanted to stay, go back to England with the boys and maybe spend the rest of my life there. Get a new name, start a new relationship, maybe even something could work out between me and Sirius. I snorted just at the thought of that.

"We would be one dysfunctional couple," I muttered to myself.

I knew that no matter how much I could pretend to be in love with someone else it would never work. You can't fall in love with someone when you're already in love with someone else; it doesn't work like that.

I laughed loudly, startled by the sudden movement."Put me down!" Dom spun around faster, with me over his shoulder.

"Now what makes you think I'll do that, Sadie?" He laughed. My fists were pounding against his back.

"Nicky!" He put me down, grinning from ear to ear.

"As you wish," he winked at me and I rolled my eyes. He always had a tendency to quote his favorite muggle movies, I hated it considering I barely knew what he was talking about most of the time.

"Hello! Are you two coming already?! We're going to be late!" We both turned to see Talia from the top of the till, glaring at us with her hands on her waist.

"Coming, Tal!" Dom said, rolling his eyes but still smiling.

"We better get going before they leave without us." He nodded, taking my hand. We began walking farther up the hill; once we got there, we could see our group of friends running around and already stripping off their clothes to jump into the lake at the other side. I felt Dom squeeze my hand harder and I smiled at him.

"I wish this summer would never end." I tilted my hand to the side and gave him a warm smile.

"I wish that too," I looked down and sighed, "I wish it our life didn't have to be this complicated."

"Someday it won't be," I looked back up at him, "I promise."

I snapped back out of the memory from last summer. I sighed, our last summer. I heard my name being called and saw Sirius coming towards me, smirking. "What do you want, Black?"

"Ooh, touchy, did you have fun last night? Good on you by the way, bout time Moony became a man." I rolled my eyes and began to walk away from him. "Hey hey, wait," he reached out and grabbed my hand, "I was only teasing, he's been really tense lately so seriously, thanks, you probably helped him." I nodded.

"Is that it?"

"Not exactly, the game is getting closer and we're all getting pretty nervous, think the old man will show?" I rolled my eyes.

"Definitely, but don't worry about it, I can deal with my father, I'll get you into the game and there's nothing he can really do about it." He nodded.

"Alright, be careful, okay? None of us want to get you into trouble." I gave him a small smile.

"Don't you worry about me, I'll be fine." He didn't look like he believed me, hell, I didn't even believe me. "Relax, Sirius, everything will be over soon."

"Okay, so our last stop will be in Austria, and from there we'll take a train that goes straight to Bulgaria. We should be arriving a day before the game, plenty of time to get us all settled in for the night and ready for the game tomorrow."
