Prologue

When someone is given an overwhelming disadvantage in the world, they seek out role models to look up to. This story has a little something like that, but that one person with the biggest disadvantage wants to change his world. Given the handicap he was born with has brought him to seek out a way to get strong, and yet seeking out strength doesn't always mean the right thing. If we had known before it happened, would we have saved his life? This is the question that warps around our minds every waking moment.

"Will you be able to save this world or are you only talk?" Silver eyes pierced through the crimson eyed teen. His red spiky hair already filled with sweat from nerves.

"I don't even know what the hell is going on!" he exclaimed biting out his words. The younger girl looked up at him as she was almost a foot shorter than he was. He eyed her below him.

"You've been trapped in a world you have no clue about but I will not allow you to make a mockery of this situation. Until I can gauge your skills I will not accept you as nothing less than an idiot. I only seek those with the will to change this world, if you don't accept my challenge then you are not worth even an ounce of time, Kagami Taiga," she shouted showing her true passion for the game as well as the future of her world.

"Then I'll prove my skills are worth it," he stated biting his tongue from firing to harshly.

"Even as a novice at basketball, I'll show the skills I possess. I will never forgive you if you don't play with your full spirit. If you can take on the skills I've honed then I'll accept you," she stated moving toward the basket. She spread her arms out signaling she was ready for his advance.

Kagami took a gulp since he'd never played basketball in this kind of situation, but he needed answers and the only person who seemed to know everything was the girl before him. He didn't even know how this situation came about.

Kagami put his hand on the ball and dribbled it down the court only to freeze at a sudden chill. There was an aura coming from around the younger student, something he'd only felt when facing people who'd do anything to win. Something around Kirisaki Daichi's level, but he couldn't figure out why he suddenly stopped.

Kagami froze and gulped, "so…so this is your skill. You're going to have to do better than this," he stated breaking free from the sudden halt.

"Even if I told you my skill, you wouldn't be able to understand it Kagami-kun. It's not quite what you are thinking. Why don't we start over again," she stepped in front of him, reminding him of the times he played with Kuroko. She tapped the ball away from him with a sudden heaviness he couldn't place, "if you can manage just one shot from me, you win, and you can try as many times as you want. Unless you want to give up," her eyes were colder than they had been.

Kagami couldn't help but gulp at the sheer chill around him. Was this person even human let alone a girl?

"Kagami-kun, you should know something else. My teacher was the very same person you're looking for. A delinquent learning the rules of basketball to keep out of trouble, isn't that interesting? So, shall we continue?" she asked.

A/N: So I have no clue where this story was going but I decided to restart it with a new story line. The prologue is giving you a glimpse into an interaction that will take place. Sorry it's been awhile, but I've been caught up with RL and this kind of called to me today. Please enjoy this reboot!

Also I plan on redoing a few other stories as well, and this happens to help me get back into the swing of writing. So enjoy!

The characters I create will have images to go with them since I've been drawing a lot too and they'll be more polished!
