-Chapter 39-
~Nina~
So, right now, I'm walking under Anubis, through the tunnels I promised myslef I would never walk through when I was 17. And here I am. What are you doing with your life, Nina?
Were almost to the last chamber when the Connor kid finally says something.
"These tunnels the worst up-kept place on planet." Connor complains, stepping on a Cobb-web right then
"No shit, sherlock." Mia rolls her eyes
Connor prepares for a come-back, but instead, Elliott speaks up
"The next time the two of you talk while were down here, I will have Zander drag the both of you back to the alligator bridge and casum, and throw you off." Elliott yells back at him
"Why Zander? Oh, wait, cause you can't!" Mia laughs
Arabella hits the back of Mia's head
"Ha." Connor chuckles
Mia grabs Connor wrist and digs her fingernails into his wrists
"Ow!" He whimpers
"It hurts, doesn't it?" I ask
"Don't brag." Mia huffs
We walk for awhile longer, before Fabian stops. I didn't realize where we were "Here. The commanders chair."
"Well, look for your creepy little matching doll then." Connor says
Elliott walks toward the familiar painted chair, he sits in it, and looks at the arm rest,
"here, there's some kinda small door, but it has an indent of an eye." Elliott looks up
"Are you blind or something, Rutter? How did you not see that?" Mia asks
"Um, I don't know, maybe because I was either trying to save the world or keep my friends alive the only two times I was in that chair." Fabian replies, sarcastically
"Here." Arabella takes off the ever familiar locket I used to live for
"What-how-why?" I ask "Nevermind."
Arabella climbs onto the edge of the chair, and places the locket on the compartment door where the indent was. The little door started to glow before the swung open. She smiled and pick something carefully wrapped in cloth from inside the small compartment. She climbs off the chair and unwrapped it slowly
"Yes!" She rejoices "it's dads doll!" She shows us
"Okay... That's messed up." Fabian looks at me, I shrug
Arabella starts to pull out a tab from the dolls back. It's a note. A clue.
"She leaves,
He picks up the pieces.
But the place of books binds them
together forever
For eternity." She reads
"Nina Martin, your next." Mia smirks
Oh, great. I mentally sigh, this was going to suck.
