(A/N) Heyyo everybody, hope you enjoy this chapter, again excuses, excuses but this time I at least have a kind of acceptable one, I have moved to the states to purse my college degree, to be specific I go to Indiana State University if by any chance anyone of you goes here it'd be nice to meet you, just PM me. Anyways again, hope you enjoy it.
Hazel's P.O.V
…ooo00ooo…
Hazel loved the wizarding world, it was full of awe striking amusements and it had also gotten her and Frank closer, but she liked it mostly because it showed that her mother wasn't necessarily a complete fraud and it also made her feel a bit more normal because they didn't use all the new mortal technology that just kept confusing her.
At the moment they were on the Hogwarts Express heading to their new school. Hazel was staring out into the beautiful English countryside, stuck in her own bubble of thought when she felt an arm snake around her. She leaned into her boyfriends' chest and just enjoyed the feel of him next to her.
Time went by and the sun swam through the sky as they talked about nothing and everything. Sometime around midday a lady with a trolley came by and asked "Anything from the trolley, dears?"
Before anyone could say anything Percy being closest to the door had stood up and got each of them one of each of the items that were for sale. Ron was in the process of taking out a couple of dry looking, crumpled sandwiches when Percy laid his share on his lap. By that point Ron's ears had turned brighter than his flaming hair.
"You don't have to do this; my mum made me some sandwiches." Ron said as he held the proof up so they could all see them, but then he turned brighter with embarrassment and put them back down.
Percy replied and said: "I know, and they look delicious, but these are my treat, what better way for us to get to know each other than over a meal? Or at least my idea of a meal."
After that and seeing that the others had also accepted theirs gracefully Ron seemed to just give up on the sandwiches, he dug into the pile of goods on his laps with enthusiasm.
They'd all had more than enough time to try out all the magical delicacies, although they still amused her, Hazel couldn't help but smile at Harry's reaction to them, especially the Bertie Bots Every Flavored Beans. In his defense though that "earthworm" flavored one was horrendous, they all tasted so realistic that she had to wonder if they had one person try out the real deal to be able to duplicate it as candy.
"… because seven ate nine" finished Percy, they were all laughing not at the joke itself, that was pretty lame, it was one of those moments where they were so relaxed that everything was funny. That soon changed when the door burst open to reveal a boy with silky blond hair that would've put models to shame, standing right behind him were what appeared to be his personal bodyguards. "It's true then, what they're saying, Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts."
This changed the mood in the compartment drastically, as soon as the first word left his mouth she could feel Frank tense beside her, this could only mean trouble but the Blondie didn't seem to notice and continued in the same snide manner as before "This is Crabbe, and Goyle." He said as he pointed to his cronies "and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." If nothing else had clued her to the fact that this wasn't a friendly visit the way this boy introduced himself was bound to get him in trouble with the boys she expected Percy to burst into action any moment now.
Again without giving any of them a chance to react he continued "I see you're hanging out with Weasley, you'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, you don't want to … AHHH!"
The git had finally overstepped his boundaries but that was all Hazel had gotten right, it wasn't hotheaded Percy who'd lost his calm it was Frank, that just made the whole situation all the more uncomfortable. Even though they were back in their 11 year old bodies Frank easily outmatched little blondie and his cronies in the height department and could stare them done in a moment, what had made Malfoy scream in surprise was the wand her boyfriend had jammed firmly between his eyes making him have to cross them to keep the deadly weapon in his sight, it was quiet hilarious really.
When Frank spoke she could almost feel him change into a wild animal "I know your type, mindless bully with visions of grander and think that bigotry will get you there but you know what? I've had enough of people like you, now if you'd like to scurry back to whichever you hole you crawled out of from to begin with that'd be great." His words might've been polite enough but the look on the son of Mars' face was terrifying, she suspected he'd consciously added that for effect, and affect them it did, the trio made no attempt to hide their fear as they backed away as fast as they could without letting the know terrifying Frank out of their sight.
All this time the other demigods were hanging back in their seats, they knew Frank had the situation under control, what were some bullies compared to any of the monsters they'd faced in their time? But just to be sure they were all ready to bounce into action at a moment's notice, Hazel even caught a glimpse of gold reflecting of Riptide in pen form at Percy's hand.
Ron appeared to be dumbfounded but Harry suffered from no such thing thanking Frank for standing up for him, it was heartbreaking "Thank you, I've had my cousin and his band of buffoons out for my blood every other day, I could've handled him but no one has ever stood up for me." The glistening unshed tears in his eyes only confirmed his words, they all knew better than to push him into talking about it, he'd do it in his own time.
After Frank made sure Harry knew they were all there for him Annabeth tactically changed the subject into the much more light on of which house they thought they'd be sorted into.
…ooo00ooo…
The door burst open once again making Hazel think that these doors must be made of some pretty strong stuff for them to withstand all this slamming and bursting, this time they were faced with a messy bush of brown hair, the group was ready for a Malfoy come back this time but the witch whom this belonged to seemed to be looking for something other than trouble and her search stopped abruptly stopped when she laid eyes on Harrys' scar, seeming to recognize it instantly she fired a continuous barrage of questions at them that would've done Annabeth proud.
"Holy cricket, you're Harry Potter, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Hermione Granger, by the way have any of you seen a toad? A boy named Neville lost one."
"Hello Hermione, I'm Hazel levesque, this is Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Frank Zhang, Ron Weasley and of course you seem to recognize Harry"
"Nice to meet you all, are you first years too? I personally am very excited to start at Hogwarts, I've already read through all the course material and can't wait to learn some magic, my parents aren't magical and I'm the first witch in my family."
Reading any book always got you points with children of Athena and got Annabeth into a lengthy conversation with Hermione, Hazel wouldn't be surprise if Hermione was a daughter of Athena herself or if those two ended up being in the same house of Ravenclaw at Hogwarts.
The Hermione character soon left to go back and search for the missing toad, and left them with the knowledge that they were almost at their destination and would be better off if they started getting into their robes, the sky turning a beautiful shade of blue as the sun set for the day and left to light up yet another part of the globe only supplemented her claims, they all decided to heed her advice and took turns changing in the compartment while all the others waited right outside the door to provide privacy and protection from any threats.
…ooo00ooo…
The hustle and bustle that followed the students getting off the train didn't stop their small group from reuniting with the rest of their contingency and introducing them to Harry and Ron. Hazel almost soiled her pants when she saw a humongous giant of a man shouting for all the first years to head his way, she'd seen enough giants to last her a lifetime and man seemed to be at the very least the son of one if that was even possible. Had it not been for the fact that she knew Gaia was still in deep slumber at this moment Hazel would've been experiencing a full blown breakdown.
Following the man giant they were led to a lake and a small fleet of boats that awaited them, as they all settled in groups of four per boat the daughter of Pluto thanked the Gods that she'd ended up with Frank and the new guys because she couldn't shake the feeling that Percy and Jason were about to go all bananas and turn what might've been a boring ride into a spectacle. The boys didn't disappoint, as soon as they'd left "freak" wind and waves hit their respective boats as the two groups headed into darkness. This saw their fellow students gawking and thinking they'd used a form of magic to achieve the feat, but all the attention soon reverted to the lights that started appearing in the distance and they caught with the others as they'd lost concentration staring at the image of magnificence and majesty that was the castle that now towered over them.
They'd made it, they were finally at Hogwarts.
