Legacy of Travas

Chapter 28: Imprisoned No More

The night has finally reached its peak over the Alopex Space Station, with most of its residents asleep for the night. Some of the others start working their nightshifts within Veron Opus to keep watch over its fellow citizens. Within the Starfox Family household, however, the general and his wife rest comfortingly in their bed as their kits also sleep in their rooms. But the silence was soon broken when the holo-phone began ringing softly enough for the general to hear and awaken from the sound. He looks upon the caller ID as it read "Officer Morrison" on it, causing him to press the button on the phone.

"General, this is Officer Morrison speaking. Are you awake", Officer Morrison spoke with a small touch of urgency in his tone while Travas Sr. was yawning.

"I am now", Travas Sr. groaned softly while getting out of bed to face the holographic projection of the vulpin officer. "What seems to be the problem", he asked.

"Starfox, you might wanna have a look at this", Officer Morrison replied while typing something onto the computer attached to his glove. And at the moment he pressed enter, the same data that the officer discovered instantly pops up into the general's computer glove. Travas Sr. picks it up curiously and opens the file, only to discover something that gives him a surprised, perhaps a shocked expression on his face.

"What is this", Travas Sr. asked, looking upon the data with sudden surprise.

"Well… it's hard to explain", Officer Morrison answered while rubbing the back of his head. "Maybe you should come to the Police Department and see this for yourself", he continued as Travas Sr. hastily starts changing into his general status uniform. "I'll see you in my office in about forty-five minutes from now", he spoke before cutting the connection between the two while the general had just finish tying his shoes. But as he was walking out the door with the hover car keys in his hands, Victoria awakens and turns to face her beloved mate.

"Travas… what's going on… where are you going", Victoria asked while yawning and getting out of bed.

"Don't worry about it, hon", Travas Sr. replied while grabbing his briefcase. "You need to get some rest".

"But what about-"

"Don't worry about me, Victoria", Travas Sr. interrupted just before sighing calmly. "But I will tell you that Morrison might have found some possible evidence regarding Fiona's origins and what she might actually be", he claimed.

"Wait… what are you trying to say", Victoria asked.

"What I'm saying is if what Morrison found was proven to be true, Fiona might actually be connected to the seduction murder cases from over the past four cycles", Travas Sr. answered as Victoria's eyes widened. But before she could ask, the general turned around and faced the door. "I can't explain it to you right now. I have to get to the Station and have a look at the data he sent me", he continued while walking out of their room and towards the front door. All Victoria could do now was witness the general depart from the room he formerly resided upon until he had withdrawn to go towards the Station to meet with Morrison.

"Be careful", Victoria spoke softly while turning around to rest upon the bed once more. Despite the concern she has for her mate, she shuts her eyes and continues to recline on the bed until she peacefully drifts into a deep sleep.

*Inside the Vampire Citadel, Dawn*

Dawn approaches the land of Nosgoth, causing many of its people to awaken from their well-rested slumber. But within a few moments, the vampuric vulpin awakens to see his beloved resting her head next to his while holding him in her arms. And as she continued to sleep, Travas plants a gentle kiss and gets out of bed. The vulpin finds a pair of black skintight leather pants, slipping into them quietly while looking upon his sleeping girlfriend. Then he puts on a sleeveless dark gray shirt and his solid black denim vest with a "Motorhead: Bomber" patch sown on the back. He then turns his sights to his metallic boots placed right across from him, putting them on and grabbing his chained wallet before heading for the door. But before he opens the door, Umah awakens and turns to face Travas curiously.

"Travas… where are you going", Umah asked while yawning and getting out of bed, covering her body with the blanket from the chest down.

"I'm about to head for the Main Chambers and get some breakfast. I'll meet you there shortly" Travas answered while turning around and opening the door, seeing Janos waiting outside.

"Ah, Travas, it seems you and Umah have awakened", Janos spoke. "Did you sleep well?" he asked as Umah gets out of bed and uses the sheets to cover her breasts

"Of course", Travas and Umah answered simultaneously.

"Excellent", Janos replied. "However, it is vital for the two of you meet me within the Main Chambers as soon as possible. We must discuss our plans to free Raziel from his imprisonment within the Reaver".

"Understood", Umah and Travas answered together as the winged vampire smiles at them both before leaving their room. Then, Umah looks upon Travas curiously while putting on a dark gray tank top.

"I was meaning to ask… who's Raziel", Umah asked while slipping into a pair of dark sanded blue skintight jeans.

"I've only seen him in a few of my visions…but I'm not sure exactly who or what he is", Travas answered while handing Umah her metallic boots, putting them on while the vulpin holds the door open for her. "Ready to go, babe", he asked as Umah finished putting her boots on.

"Of course", Umah replied, with a hint of seduction into her voice. But nevertheless, she plants a kiss on his muzzle and heads out of the room, with Travas following behind. Thus, they began to walk towards the Main Chambers, hoping to find the answers they sought concerning the being imprisoned within the Reaver.

*Veron Opus Police Department, dawn*

The officers of multiple ranks continued to go on about their days despite the fact that dawn had just risen for the people of Alopex. However, a couple of the younger officers entered General Starfox's office with haste, carrying stack of files in both of their hand-paws. In that moment, Travas Sr. turned his roller chair around to face the two officers curiously.

"Kennedy, Reese, what's going on", Travas Sr. asked as Kennedy slams the files on his desk.

"What is this", Sgt. Kennedy asked, unclear of what to make of the updated seduction murder cases. "Why has Fiona, who's now dead, become the prime suspect in the Seduction murder cases", he asked slightly demandingly as Travas Sr. got out of his chair, leaning slightly towards his desk and holding the surface with his left hand-paw.

"Isn't it obvious, Kennedy?! Ever since she was unexpectedly murdered last Saturday, the seduction murders had come to an abrupt stop. And that alone proves that she had been committing the murders over the past four cycles", Travas Sr. answered slightly angrily.

"That may be the case, but now you and Morrison are saying that she happens to be some sort of 'succubus' originating from some other plane of existence", Sgt. Reese claimed as Travas Sr. sighed in frustration.

"According to Morrison, that also seems to be the case", Travas Sr. calmly answered before reorganizing the files back in order. "And speaking of, what makes of Fiona's body?"

"Her body is being cremated after the funeral", Sgt. Kennedy replied. "Right now, the pallbearers are on their way to the Veron Opus Cathedral with the casket", he continued as Travas Sr. gathered his keys and coat from the rack and headed for the door.

"I see…" Travas Sr. calmly spoke. "However, I must return to my home at once. I need to pick my family up and attend Fiona's funeral. Although she's been proven to be the murderer, the least I could do right now is to go pay my respects to the former principal", he continued as he left his office. Soon the two sergeants began walking out of the general's office as well, thus heading back to their own duties they needed to complete within the morning.

*Back at the Vampire Citadel, Nosgoth*

Inside the Vampire Citadel, a group of vampires open the door that lead to the place the Main Chambers, the place that their discussion is to be held. One after another, the vampires within the Citadel began to gather at the table near the heart of the Main Chambers. As they get to their seats, Janos walks towards the encased Soul Reaver and uses his telekinetic powers to place it onto the ovular table surface.

"The reason is known to us upon why the Reaver is encased in such confinement", Janos started, walking back towards his seat, siting upon it and looking at the other vampires.

"Upon which is confined after turning against Travas", Umah replied.

"Correct you are, Umah! At first, I was unsure about what was contained within the Reaver", Janos spoke while turning to face the Reaver blade. "But after Travas used his psychic abilities, he was able to spot the being that was imprisoned within the blade, who happens to be called Raziel", he explained as Vorador looks at him with sudden, surprised recognition.

"Sire, did you say that the being imprisoned within the sword is Raziel", Vorador asked in a surprised manner.

"Yes… he was the one that was prophesized to be imprisoned inside the Reaver and arm the Scion of Balance with the final baptism of the blade. Why do you ask", Janos asked curiously.

"I ask because I remember him being one of the Sarafan Priests that were slaughtered nearly nine centuries ago", Vorador claimed. "But why is he imprisoned within the blade?"

"Perhaps we could ask him once he's freed from the Reaver", Travas replied as Vorador turned to face him.

"Perhaps", Vorador spoke.

"What he says is true. And I also happen to know a spell that could free Raziel from his imprisonment", Janos claimed before turning to the side. "Alas, I do not have the proper elixir to use it at this time", he continued.

"But where could we get such an elixir that could work", Umah asked.

"Thankfully, the place where the elixir could be found lies within the caves just close by my former retreat. The same place I resided at before the Sarafan ripped out the Heart of Darkness out of my chest nine centuries ago", Janos claimed while grabbing a bag and putting his arms through the straps provided, equipping it on his back. "However, in order to acquire it, I must ask for your assistance since the other vampires are in need to train at this hour", he claimed, causing Umah to look towards her boyfriend.

"Are you alright with this", Umah asked as Travas smiles and kisses her cheek.

"Of course, babe", Travas answered. "I need to go to Meridian and take care of something anyways", he answered while smiling and before kissing her. "I'll see you guys soon", the vulpin claimed as he teleports to the Underground Chamber. Then in that moment, Umah looked upon Janos and headed towards him.

"Shall we depart from this place and gather the elixir", Umah asked.

"Of course", Janos spoke while grabbing Umah's shoulders and teleporting close to the place of their destination.

When Travas enters the underground Chamber, he grabs the keys to his hover bike and gets on. He turns the key to the ignition and presses on the gas pedal and departs from the Citadel. Thus, the vulpin embarks on his trip towards Meridian to take care of whatever he had needed to do.

*Within the Veron Opus Cathedral, Alopex*

Mourning cries fill the Cathedral Chapel in downtown Veron Opus, with many students, co-workers, and friends struck by the loss of their beloved young Principal. Sitting upon the middle-left section of the Chapel was the Starfox family, where Scarlet has her face covered with a soft cloth to hide her remorseful tears. On the other hand, Erica holds onto her mother and cries into her arms as Victoria did what she could to provide comfort for her two kits. Travas Sr. holds onto his mate and look at the casket some thirteen feet diagonally to their right. But within a moment, an arctic vulpin bishop well within his fifties enters the stage and taps onto the microphone to test it before clearing his throat and leaning towards it.

"Fellow members of the Veron Opus community, we gather here today to remember one of the finest, hard-working members of our educational system, Fiona Downing", the Vulpin Bishop spoke while looking upon the mourning audience, seeing nearly half of them being either students or former students of her school. "When our board of education was facing an uncountable number of problems, she had come to Alopex and repaired the system with her methods. But despite the fact that we do not know of her origins, she has done so much for our educational community over the past four cycles she was with the School Board up to her untimely passing", he continued before looking down at the locked casket not too far from the stage. "Let us bow our heads in prayer", he spoke as he and the others bowed their heads down, closing their eyes and holding their hand-paws together.

"I've should've been a better student… I've should've been better towards her", Scarlet thought to herself while holding her hand-paws together and tears slowly continue to stream down her face.

"Dear heavenly maker, we come to pray that you lift the spirit of our former Educational Board member, Fiona Downing into your kingdom and bless all of her co-workers, friends, and fellow students with the comfort they need to continue on. We also come to pray to bless those that wish to turn to the word of our heavenly maker and allow them to rejoice in your name", the Vulpin Bishop prayed as he continues to hear the soft mourning cries of those who loved Fiona dearly. "In the maker we pray, amen", he finished as he lifts his hands upward, signaling them to stand. "Let us stand and walk by Downing's casket, in which we will give the former principal our blessings towards the afterlife", he spoke before heading towards the left side of the Chapel, watching as one attendee after another walk pass the casket and out towards the exit.

"Scarlet, Erica… we've gotta go to the Cemetery", Victoria said as the kits jump out of their chairs and head towards the stage, where they pass by the locked casket containing the former principal within. And once they've paid their respects to the late Fiona, the Starfox family head towards the exit near the back. Thus, they walk towards their hover car and get in, with the general starting the ignition and driving towards the Veron Opus Cemetery like all the other attendees.

*Close to Meridian, Nosgoth*

As the sun continues to slowly rise over Nosgoth, the vampuric vulpin continues driving towards Meridian. On the way there, he notices some of the others looking at his hover bike with curious eyes as he drove by. Although the others were curious, they continue on with their social lives as the vulpin continues driving towards the capitol of Nosgoth.

"It seems I'm gaining attention from the locals by driving the hover bike", Travas thought. "Then again, I don't think they've seen anything like this until now", he continued thinking as he now sees the walled fortress containing Meridian within. The vulpin smiles upon this as he presses the pedal only slightly, increasing his speed as he draws closer towards the gate within a matter of a couple of minutes.

At the moment he arrives at the gate, the vulpin enters Meridian and began to drive around the city. While travelling around town, the vulpin continues to look upon some of shops within the upper part of the city. Although a few jewelry shops caught his interest, he decides to head to the lower part of the city and find some shops there.

Within a matter of about five minutes, he arrives to the lower part of the city and drives around the area for a bit like he did with the upper portion. And within a sudden moment, his eyes catch the attention of a familiar jewelry shop he had been to since Christmas Eve night four years prior. With his mind finally made up, he parks the hover bike at a parking lot twenty meters across from the shop. He then takes the keys out of the ignition and looks upon the shop with a smile on his face.

"Ah, doesn't this place bring back memories", Travas thought while walking towards the shop, with his mind set on only one particular item resting within the shop.

*Nearby Janos' former Retreat, north-east of Uschtenheim*

Despite the hardships with the reconstruction of Uschtenheim, the townsfolk continue to do the best they can to repair the recent damage caused by Infernum and his demonic armies. But within a far distance away from the town, Janos and Umah manage to arrive upon the destination they needed to be. Although they've noticed all of the work the townsfolk had done over the past eight days from afar, the two vampires continue walking towards the north-eastern pathway. But after about five minutes of walking, Umah notices the winged vampire looking towards a cave some fifty meters to his right.

"Did you find where the elixir is held", Umah asked, looking at the winged vampire curiously.

"Yes, and it's just about fifty meters to the right", Janos claimed, pointing at the cave he spotted moments ago. "We must enter the cave and acquire the elixir before the Soul Reaver begins to act on its own again", he continued as he and Umah begin running towards the cave with haste. And within moments, the two enter the cave and begin surveying the area for the elixir claimed

Whilst walking within about fifteen meters of the cave, the two vampires could see nothing but darkness dominating the interior. But that soon changes as Janos summons a ball of fire within the palm of his left hand, using it as a torch to light their way. They continue to walk the various pathways that seemed to continue on for an eternity. But thankfully for them, they notice a faint, reflective light within about forty meters from their position. Thus, the two sprint towards the reflective light and, alas, the elixir was found in a pond of its own.

"At last, we've found the elixir… yet it's strange to see it in a pond of its own", Umah admitted. "I originally thought that it was made by only the most experienced spell casters of Nosgoth", she claimed while Janos grabs the two empty jars out of his bag.

"Umah, take this", Janos said, handing the twenty-four ounce jar to the female vampire. In turn, Umah accepts it and began unscrewing the lid off of the jar as Janos does the same. "You do not need to worry about the acidic effects since this kind of elixir does not burn vampuric skin, not even the slightest", he claimed while placing his jar into the elixir pond, filling it with as much of it as he could. As a response, Umah began to place her jar into the pond as well, filling it with the magical elixir they needed. Once they fill both jars to their entirety, they place the lids back on and close the jars, placing them back into the bag Janos had brought with him.

"Now that we have acquired the proper amount of elixir necessary, allow me to teleport us back to the Citadel at once. And from there, I will begin preparations to use the spell, although it may take some time before its ready", Janos spoke while grabbing a hold of Umah's shoulders and began summoning forth his teleportation energy. And within a moment, the two vampires vanished within a bright purple light, brightening the room for a moment before going back into near-darkness once more.

*Within the Lower City, Meridian*

While Umah and Janos were acquiring the elixir, Travas enters the jewelry shop he had stumbled upon on Christmas Eve night four years before. Upon entering the shop, he looks upon various sets of jewelry contained within the glass containers inside. But within a moment, he finally bestows upon the very section he desired to be at the front counter. Yet before he could begin making up his mind on what he wanted, the shop keep exits his office and walks towards the familiar vulpin he had seen before.

"Hello there, Travas, it's been a long time since I last saw you here", the shop keep greeted.

"Good morning to you, too, Arthur", Travas replied while softly smiling upon him and browsing the Jewelry Store.

"Likewise", Arthur replied. "Now what can I do for you today, sir?" he asked.

"Well, I am looking for a certain kind of engagement ring for my girl, possibly one that may have a sapphire gem encased on it", Travas answered while looking at the various amount of rings the shop had for display. But before the clerk was able to answer, the vulpin spots a silver engagement ring with an octagonal sapphire gem encased on the top. "And that's the one I'm looking for, Arthur", he claimed, pointing at the ring just below the glass casing in front of him.

"Are you sure you could afford such an item, young fox", Arthur asked curiously while looking at the vulpin curiously.

"Of course", Travas calmly, yet enthusiastically answered while smiling.

"Very well, sir, give me a moment to get the ring and we'll head for the register", Arthur said while grabbing the key to the glass case and unlocks the lid, carefully grabbing the black case with velvet red cushioning that kept the ring safely guarded within. Then, the shop keep closes and locks the glass container and takes the ring towards the register, with the vulpin following behind. "Alright, Travas…" the clerk started while tapping some of the buttons on the register after scanning the item. "Your total is going to be about twenty-three-hundred dollars and forty-nine cents", he finished as Travas swipes his debit card on the card reader, pressing buttons on the pad and paying the amount required to purchase the ring. Lastly, the clerk hands the vulpin a copy of the receipt to sign as Travas grabs a pen and signs on the dotted lines.

"Thanks, Arthur", Travas thanked while handing the clerk the signed receipt before grabbing his copy. "Take care".

"Same for you, young man", Arthur replied as the vulpin waves back at him and heads out of the Jewelry Shop. In that moment, the vulpin runs towards his parked hover bike and sits on the seat, grabbing the keys from his pocket and starting the ignition.

"Yes, I've got the ring I wanted to get for my girl", Travas thought while grabbing the case out of his inner vest pocket and opening it, looking upon the silver ring with a sapphire gem encased to it. "Umah, you are going to love what's about to come to you later on today", he continued while pressing on the gas, driving towards the Meridian gate and leaving the walled fortress. Thus, the vulpin set his sights towards the Vampire Citadel and drives with enthusiastic haste.

*Veron Opus Cemetery, Alopex*

Silence and mourning cries fill the air and not a single word was uttered by the people of Alopex. The funeral attendees finally arrived to the Veron Opus Cemetery, parking their vehicles upon the pathways near the entrance. Many of them began to sit upon the seats provided while the others remained standing. One of the families that remain standing was the Starfox Family, who stand nearby a synthetic tree near the stage where the casket was placed. And within a moment, the vulpin Bishop from the Veron Opus Cathedral steps onto the stage and arrives at the microphone at the front of it.

"We have finally come to the final part of Fiona's Memorial service at this very hour. Let us bow our heads in prayer", the Vulpin Bishop spoke while lowering his head and shutting his eyes in unison with the others. "Dear heavenly maker, we come to pray that you bless the hearts of those that have come to pay their final respects to Fiona Downing and help them cope with the sudden loss of one of our finest Education Board members. We would also come to pray for the ones that have gotten in trouble before Downing's passing to be forgiven from the sins they might've committed recently. In the maker we pray, Amen", he finished while the pallbearers pick the casket up and take it towards the hearse hover car nearby.

"Scarlet, Erica, it's time to go", Victoria said while holding both of her kits' hand-paws and taking them to their parked hover car near the front. But as they were walking, the motherly vixen noticed her mate's troubled expression on his face, causing her to become worried. All she could do at that moment, however, was shrug it off and open the hover car doors, allowing their kits to enter. But when she enters the vehicle and buckles herself in, the vixen looks upon her mate once more as he sighs in frustration and starting the ignition. "Hon, what's wrong", she asked in a concerned tone.

"It's nothing, Victoria… just a lot of stress from all of this going on", Travas Sr. answered while pressing on the gas and heading out of the Cemetery.

"Um… alright", Victoria spoke before looking upon herself in worry. "I hope that whatever's bothering you… you'll overcome it and tell me everything", she thought as she looks towards the rear mirror, seeing the hover car with Fiona's casket heading towards the opposite direction, knowing well where it was going.

*On the road to the Citadel, Nosgoth*

While things on Alopex were unpleasant for the Starfox family, Travas seems to feel different otherwise, for he was on his way back to the Citadel with a gift to his beloved in his possession. As he was driving, he allowed the cool, late august breeze blow through his fur, giving him a calm sense of relief on his body. And after about a good, thirty minute of fast driving, he finally arrives to the Citadel and goes through the secret cave entrance, upon which leads to the Underground Chamber. And there, waiting for him at the heart of the chamber itself, was his friend, Janos, and his beloved girlfriend, Umah. In that moment, he instantly parks his hover bike near the motorcycle and goes to greet the two vampires nearby.

"Janos, Umah! Were you two able to get the elixir we need to get Raziel out of the sword", Travas asked while shaking Janos' hand and kissing Umah's lips.

"We have, and I must head towards the Training Chamber and commence in preparing the spell", Janos spoke. "However, it may take a certain amount of time for me to prepare the spell. But if everything goes according to plan, the spell may be ready before noon", he claimed while summoning a green-colored aura from within his body, thus teleporting towards the Training Chamber and leaving the couple alone in the Underground Chamber.

"Travas, while Janos is summoning the energy needed for the spell, let's go to the Main Chambers and meet with the others there", Umah suggested while heading towards the door.

"Hey, um… Umah, can we go to the Sacred Chamber, just you and me?" Travas asked as Umah turned to face him.

"What for…?" Umah asked in response.

"Something good", Travas claimed. "Wanna find out what?"

"Of course", Umah answered while Travas grabs a hold of her shoulders, summoning forth energy from within him and engulfing the couple. And before they knew it, the couple was at the entrance of the Sacred Chamber. Thus, the vulpin opens the doors to the Sacred Chambers and commences in walking towards the fountain slowly. "Now what is it do you wish to show me?" she asked.

"Do you remember the first time we stumbled upon this chamber for the first time", Travas asked while smiling and facing the life-filled palm trees nearby.

"Of course, and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen after it was reconstructed", Umah answered.

"Yeah… just as beautiful as you are", Travas claimed while looking upon her with a soft smile on his face, causing Umah to blush in response to his choice of words.

"Travas… you know I still blush every time you tell me such things", Umah claimed in a shy-full tone while blushing. But then all of the sudden, she was met with a gentle stroke on her cheek caused by the vulpin's right hand-paw.

"And you know that I really mean that", Travas spoke while kissing her forehead gently. "Can you close your eyes for me", he asked.

"Sure… what for, might I ask", Umah asked curiously.

"It's a surprise", Travas answered as Umah nods and shut her eyes. In that moment, the vulpin kneeled down before her and grabbed the black case from his inner denim vest pocket, opening it to reveal the engagement ring within. "You can open your eyes now, Umah", he spoke as Umah opens her eyes, looking down towards the ring in a shocked manner. This, in turn causes her to gasp in shock and cover her mouth while looking upon the silver ring with the sapphire ring encased on the top of it.

"Travas…" was all Umah could muster while looking at the ring he had recently acquired.

"Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I've had this strong feeling that you were the right one for me… and after dating for four years, I now know for sure that I want to spend the rest of my vampuric life with you. Umah, will you take my hand-paw in marriage and spend the rest of your vampuric life with me", Travas asked in a loving tone as Umah's eyes began to well with tears. Soon, she tackles him lovingly and began to kiss him with fierce joy.

"Oh my god… Travas, yes! Yes I will", Umah tearfully answered as the two get back onto their feet and hold each other lovingly. With a final, pro-longed, passionate kiss, the two break the kiss and look upon each other's eyes. "Travas… I've been dreaming of this day ever since I've met you… and I could've never been much happier in my vampuric life", she claimed while resting her head upon his chest, which the vulpin was drying her tears with his hands.

"And so have you since I've first arrived to Nosgoth four years ago", Travas replied while kissing her forehead once more before they let go of each other. However, Travas places the engagement ring through Umah's left ring finger, signifying their engagement with it fitting perfectly on her finger. "C'mon, lets head to the Main Chambers and tell them the-" he tried to finish until he felt a familiar, sharp pain in his head, causing the vulpin to scream out in pain.

"Travas, what's wrong?!" Umah asked worryingly as the vulpin kneels down, covering his eyes and leaning his head towards the ground. "Oh, god… don't tell me he's having another vision in his mind… and telling by how much pain he's feeling, this isn't good", she thought while kneeling next to her now vulpin fiancée, who's still screaming out in pain.

"No… Not again!" Travas spoke painfully as the vision began to play within his mind.

*Vision*

The sky was as red as blood itself, and the demonic crowd continues to increase in numbers within the Western Industrial Kingdom. But on the altar some twenty feet above, a young, feline demon with black and white fur, his long black hair tied back blood-red eyes, and a pair of bat-like wings on his back. The demon himself wore a pair of black leather pants with the leg openings tucked into his metallic boots. He also wore copper armored shoulder blades on both shoulders. The only thing he wore on his torso besides the shoulder blades was a black robe-like vest unbuttoned to reveal his lean, muscular toned chest and abs.

But despite his appearance, two brown, electrical demons bring a guillotine with them to the heart of the altar. At the same time, a third electrical demon a few meters behind the other two brings a young vixen hostage, somewhere about the age of nine, her head covered in a black cloth tied back by a rope around her neck and muzzle. Her hand-paws and legs were also bound by the ropes, preventing her from trying to escape with the exception of her tail being able to move about. Despite how much effort she uses to try and break free, they prove to be in vain as she was suddenly placed into the guillotine, with the demons slipping her head through the hole as the feline demon looked upon the demonic crowd below. And as he did, he grinned eagerly upon them chanting a familiar name.

"Infernum…! Infernum…! Infernum!" the demons chanted simultaneously as they continued to bow before their felin master, with their arms rising high and low.

"Great spirit of Infernum, we hear you", the feline demon shouted before looking down upon the other demons again, smirking upon their loyalty to their fallen master.

"We tremble and obey your every command", the demons chanted in unison.

"We offer this sacrifice upon the altar of Dark Eden", the feline demon shouted while looking down upon the loyal demons before the altar.

"The blood of our offering do we sacrifice to you", the demons chanted in loyal unison.

"May this blood nourish you and bring you back into this world once more", the feline demon shouted with pride one last time before the other demons rise before him.

"All hail, lord Infernum! All hail, Lord Nexus", the demons shouted in a chanting manner as the crowd began to roar with pride, raising their left fists in the air to signify their loyalty. At the same time, the feline demon, Nexus, heads for the two electrical demons while grabbing a jar containing some sort of dust-like content inside.

"Let the ritual commence and begin operation in resurrecting our fallen master, bringing him back into Dark Eden and allow him to take his long-awaited revenge against his murders", Nexus ordered.

"Yes, my lord", the two electrical demons replied while turning towards the twin doors and exiting the altar. At the same time, the feline demon continues walking towards the guillotine before kneeling down next to the young hostage.

"It is rather unfortunate that a young person such as yourself has to be sacrificed for our cause… but it seems your blood is required to fulfill the resurrection and bring my fallen master back into this world", Nexus claimed as the vixen child's cries grow louder despite her muzzle being tied shut by the rope. "And with this, I release you", the felin demon said before pulling the string to the guillotine, causing the blade to fall upon the crying vixen child until her cries of agony could no longer be heard.

*Vision End*

Soon, the sharp pain in the vulpin's head began to subside once the vision came to an end. Despite the vision being finished, Travas could only look upon his fiancée with eyes shot wide open and filled with shock. Umah then helps her vulpin fiancée up onto his feet-paws while looking at him with concern in her eyes.

"Travas, what did you see", Umah asked worryingly.

"I saw another demon… named Nexus", Travas claimed. "And I think he's trying to bring Infernum back to life".

"Nexus… I don't believe I've heard of him", Umah replied. "But hearing about him trying to resurrect Infernum… that isn't good", she continued.

"But that isn't the only thing that I saw", Travas said while shaking his head.

"What else did you see", Umah asked slightly urgently.

"It seems he had a hostage with him, a vixen child not even ten years old", Travas claimed. "And Nexus said something about hers being the only one that could resurrect Infernum".

"Wait… a vixen child", Umah asked.

"Apparently that seems to be the case", Travas answered. "But this time… I gotta a bad feeling about who the hostage might", the vulpin thought suspiciously.

"Anything else", Umah asked.

"I think I might have suspicions about the hostage's identity… but right now, we need to-"

"Travas, Umah, where are you both located at this moment", Janos interrupted within 'the Whisper', instantly gaining the attention of the vampuric couple despite their conversation.

"Janos, what's going on", Travas asked within his mind.

"And what makes of the spell at this time", Umah also asked.

"The spell is in near-completion", Janos answered. "The other vampires are waiting for you both within the Training Chamber. I will see you both there shortly", he continued while disconnecting himself from their minds as Travas looked upon his fiancée.

"Well, looks like it's time to go", Travas spoke while gently grabbing a hold of Umah's shoulders.

"Of course", Umah replied as Travas began summoning the same energy he used earlier and engulfs them both once again. Thus, the couple instantly teleports from the Sacred Chamber and takes them near the locker room entrance of the Training Room, causing the other vampires to look upon them with surprise.

"Umah, Travas, where were you two", Vorador asked with a calm, yet slightly demanding tone.

"We were in the Sacred Chamber and taking care of something important", Travas answered.

"What was it that you had to take care of", Vorador asked as Travas raises Umah's hand up slightly, revealing the engagement ring for him and the others to see. "Wait! You were proposing for Umah's hand in marriage", he asked, looking upon the silver ring with a sapphire blue gem on it.

"Uh-huh", Travas replied as the others looked upon the ring around Umah's finger.

"Well, all we can say right now is congratulations to you both", Vorador spoke while he and the other vampires, except for Janos, began shaking Travas' hand-paw.

"Thanks", Both Travas and Umah replied as Janos turned to face the vampuric couple.

"I have to agree with Vorador on saying congratulations to you both", Janos said. "Although I wish to shake your hand at this time, we must turn our attention to the sword. The spell is about to be ready", he claimed as the others turn to face the winged vampire. And within a few moments, the sword began to glow a bright white-colored light while small electrical sparks started exerting from the blade.

"Janos, what's happening?!" Aramantha exclaimed whilst looking at the shining blade.

"It's the spell! It's beginning to free Raziel from the Reaver", Janos shouted while trying to keep the spell under control. But within a matter of moments, the spell began to act violently upon which began firing bolts of lightning around the massive chamber, causing the other vampires to find cover. And within a matter of moments, the spell's violent energy became so intense that Travas and Vorador had to create a barrier around themselves and the other vampires.

While Vorador and Travas continued to maintain the Barrier, Janos continued to use his spell upon the Reaver while keeping the energy in check. Despite his efforts, however, much of the electrical bolts it gave out strike upon the walls, creating small craters upon impact while damaging some of the equipment. But within a matter of minutes, the spell's magic begins to spark at its peak, creating various bolts of lightning until the entire room was engulfed in a bright light. Thus, the other vampires cover their eyes from the sudden burst of electrical bolts before the chamber was covered in the bright light.

As the light began to fade, the vampires open their eyes to see the chamber almost entirely covered in white colored smoke. But as the smoke began to clear, they noticed another being with ruined demonic wings lying on the ground about twenty feet from their position. And within a moment, they notice the being beginning to awaken from his state of unconsciousness, seeing him getting back onto his feet slowly.

After the being gets back onto his feet, the pale-blue colored demon steps backwards in an exhausted manner while the vampires look upon his muscular, near-skeletal structured body. At the same time, they notice he didn't have a jaw while the demon slowly walks towards his cowl lying on the floor, picking it up and wrapping it around his shoulders and covering his head from the nose down. But as the demon brushes his slightly long bangs to the side, he turns to face the group of vampires nearly twenty-five feet away from his position. However, he merely looks upon the winged vampire with recognition while approaching him slowly.

"Raziel", Janos spoke softly.

"Janos… I remember you becoming possessed by the 'unspoken' after the pillars' collapse", Raziel replied, approaching him calmly before looking upon Vorador nearby. "And Vorador…? How do you still live?"

"I was resurrected by Umah nearly two and a half centuries ago", Vorador answered.

"I see…" Raziel said. "And who is this 'Umah' you refer to", he asked as a female vampire with two crescent moon-like shaped markings on both sides of her face steps forward.

"That would be me", Umah spoke as the demon turned to face her.

"How was it that you were able to raise him from the dead", Raziel asked before placing his right hand on his bony hip.

"It's a long story", Umah answered. "But to keep such a tale short, I merely removed Vorador's preserved head from Moebius' statue and returning it to his body, upon which was kept in a pool of magical elixir similar to what we've used to free you from your imprisonment within the blade", she continued as the demon turns to face Janos.

"How long was I imprisoned within the Reaver", Raziel asked.

"It seems you were imprisoned inside the sword for about four centuries", Janos answered, causing Raziel to look at the Soul Reaver and then upon himself, eying his slightly raised hands with calm disbelief.

"I had lost four hundred years… but how is this possible", Raziel asked within his mind while slightly shaking his head in disbelief.

"Apparently, Raziel, that seems to be the case… but I guess you can say time flies after being imprisoned within the blade", Travas answered, causing the demon to turn and face him. But at the moment he first sets his eyes on the vulpin, they widen in shock upon seeing his foxlike characteristics.

"My god… what manner of creature are you", Raziel asked, eying the vulpin with slight suspicion. Then, the vulpin sighs calmly and begins to approach the curious demon slowly.

"I assume that you've never seen a humanimal… or anthromorphic being the humans call them, in your life, haven't you", Travas asked calmly before the demon sighs and manages to calm down.

"I have dealt with demons similar to your kind…" Raziel answered. "However, I sense that you aren't from around Nosgoth, am I right?"

"That's correct", Travas answered while stopping nearly three feet in front of the skeletal-like demon. "Maybe you might have a better understanding about who and what I am if I told you my life's story", he claimed while using his telekinetic powers to pull two wooden chairs over for him and the demon. Thus he hands Raziel one as the vulpin sits on the chair with the demon doing the same.

"Very well", Raziel said while sitting on the chair Travas provided him with, looking at the vulpin with both of his pupil-less eyes. "Who are you and what are your origins?"
