Travas Starfox, the older brother of future Solarfox/Extinctioners members Scarlet and Erica, has been given a second chance thanks to Nosgoth's Legendary vampire, Janos Audron. His new life, however, hasn't been easy on him, ranging from enemy encounters to visions of the future. Will he be able to live his new life and create a new legacy, or will the dangers get the best of him?

Chapter 29: A New Enemy Approaches

Silence fills the air, the funeral of their fallen Principal has ended, and many of the Alopexian people are returning to their homes or jobs. As for the Starfox family, they drive back towards their home and continue on with their daily lives. But for their eldest daughter, Scarlet, was gripping on her own knees in remorse despite the funeral being over. And within a matter of minutes, the family returns to their home and enters the garage, parking it as Victoria gets out and open the back car doors for her kits to exit.

"Kits, I need you both to go to your rooms. Your father and I need to talk alone", Victoria spoke as they enter their living room through the garage. Thus, the kits hastily head for their rooms upstairs as Travas Sr. and Victoria sit on the couch nearby. "Travas… I sense that something's bothering you", she claimed, placing her right hand-paw on his left shoulder. "What's wrong?"

"Too much going on through my mind…" Travas Sr. answered before giving a stressful sigh. "First, Scarlet attacks a new felin student in her class. Next, I find out that she's getting expelled, causing me to go talk and negotiate with Fiona last Saturday. Then, two masked assassins assassinate her in the apartment hallways while I was negotiating a way to get Scarlet into a lesser form of punishment. Afterwards, our daughter's hearing gets postponed until tomorrow as a result. Now she has to remain at home until the day of the hearing", he explained.

"I understand this whole mess has been stressful… but right now, I need you to focus on Scarlet's meeting tomorrow. I have to take Erica to the dentist first thing in the morning as well as taking care of a few other business matters", she explained while placing her hand-paws on his cheeks. "Don't worry, hon… it's gonna be okay".

"I hope so", Travas Sr. calmly and softly replied before Victoria kisses his muzzle lips, providing the general some sort of solace he could use to cope with the problems he's faced over the past week. But despite his worry, he continues to hold into his beloved wife as long as he could in hopes of finding more comfort within his stressful troubles. But unknown to the family, someone within the shadows was watching them closely… finding a sense of sadistic interest with them.

*The Vampire Citadel, Nosgoth*

"So what you're telling me here, Travas, is that you have come from some mechanized Space Station and that you're claiming to be a psychic who could read minds and see the future?" Raziel asked. "And you're also claiming that Janos was the one that wrought the hand in which brought you back to life… as a living vampire?" he asked with a kind of suspicious, but curious tone.

"That's true", Travas answered, raising his arm and turning it on its back. "If you need further proof, you're more than welcome to check my pulse".

"I will admit that I find that hard to believe", Raziel admitted. "But if you insist, then I will have a look for myself", he said as he grabs the vulpin's wrist with his left hand and places his right index claw on his wrist veins. And as the demon felt his living pulse, his eyes widen with a calm sense of shock, yet amazed upon his discovery. "How is this possible? And how is it do you have normal body temperature as well?"

"It is because Travas contained pure energy within his body", Janos answered. "And by using my magic on his body, I was able to not just heal his wounds, but also bring his body back to life to its entirety".

"Normal heartbeat, temperature, organ function, you name it", Travas added, causing the demon to shake his head with disbelief while holding his head with both of his hands.

"This is becoming rather confusing to comprehend", Raziel admitted. "I still don't understand how Janos was able to pass the curse on while bringing your body entirely back to life", he continued as Janos placed his hand upon the demon's shoulder.

"Perhaps I would explain the remainder of the details along with answering your questions elsewhere", Janos said. "But right now, allow me to lead you into a spare chamber in which you will be staying in", he continued as Janos nodded and began walking towards the Training Room exit. In a similar manner, Umah begins walking towards her fiancée and wraps her arms around his muscular torso.

"Travas, what are we to do until nightfall", Umah asked curiously, yet in a slightly seductive manner.

"Well… we can start our assignments right now and continue our training later on during the day", Travas answered just as he leaned towards her ear. "As for tonight, I think you might already know the answer", he continued with a smirk on his muzzle, causing Umah to quietly giggle.

"Without a doubt there, hon", Umah replied before kissing her fiancée's cheek. "Now then, let us continue with our assignments and get them completed as fast as possible", she claimed while walking towards the door.

"Agreed", Travas replied, following the female vampire towards the Training Room exit.

As the day continues to pass, the soon-to-be wedded couple continues with their assignments they were given, typically watching over the land of Nosgoth for any possible threats. But within the Citadel, Janos continues to show Raziel around the Citadel and how much the Sanctuary had changed since he was last there four centuries prior. As for the remainder of the vampires, they continue to hunt down any other demons or search for blood supply within vast areas of the land.

At nightfall, everyone is within their chambers, resting for whatever the other days may be in store for them. But inside the couple's room, soft, pleasuring moans can be heard despite the quiet environment the two vampires were in. Travas and Umah, with the covers only covering the bottom half of their bodies, continues to fulfill their lustful, yet loving deeds upon each other. The vulpin continued to thrust eagerly into his vampuric fiancée's nether lips, causing the female vampire to moan her lover's name with soft, satisfactory pleasure.

"Travas, Travas, Travas!" Umah moaned while holding onto her lover tightly, kissing his lips as the vulpin continues to thrust his pole into her honey pot. And like any other couple, Umah's moans slowly became louder as Travas began to thrust faster into her, causing his muscles to tighten with each thrust he makes. But as the vulpin continues to increase his thrusting speed, his member began to stiffen in pleasure as the knot began to swell, signifying that he's about to release.

"Umah..! I'm about too-" Travas tried to speak before attempting to pull out, but felt Umah's legs unexpectedly wrap around his waist, causing the vulpin to look upon her curiously. "Umah, what are you-"

"Please", Umah begged. "I want to feel your essence flow into my womb".

"But won't you get pregnant", Travas asked, causing Umah to slightly turn away from him.

"Travas… you know that vampires are sterile, and thus, we cannot bear offspring", Umah replied, causing Travas to look upon her in a calmly shocked, unsure of what else to say.

"Umah…" Travas spoke softly while gently stroking her cheek.

"I know you may be frightened by what I'm asking", Umah admitted while stroking his cheek gently in return. "But please… just this once", she begged as Travas turns away from her, unsure of what to make of her request. But before Umah could turn away, the vulpin gently turns her head towards him, causing her to gaze at his green eyes and soft mile on his face.

"Alright", Travas softly agreed as his soft smile fades into a calmer one. "But are you sure about this?"

"I could never be more positive in my life, Travas", Umah answered while softly smiling. "But if I somehow result in becoming pregnant, despite our sterility… then at least I'll be able to bear you a son".

"Or daughter", Travas replied, causing Umah to look at him in a slightly surprised manner.

"Travas… I am curious. Are you willing to become a father if I end up becoming pregnant", Umah asked, causing Travas to grin upon Umah's words.

"To tell you the truth, Umah, I've always wanted to have kits of my own since I was in my early twenties", Travas answered. "And babe, I am willing to become one if you do. But I must admit…I thought you'd never ask", he continued while smiling upon his fiancée.

And in that moment, he began to thrust his stiff length into her nether lips powerfully and eagerly while tilting his head upward and moaning pleasurably. But within about fifteen seconds, he presses his knot against the opening of Umah's lower lips, causing her to moan loudly as a result. And within a mere moment, Umah presses her lips against Travas' muzzle lips, giving him a deep kiss as the vulpin finally released his life-giving essence within Umah's womb. But despite the fact that his essence continues to fill the female vampire's womb, Travas gently rolls onto his back with Umah lying on top of his sweat-covered body. Thus, the two stare at each other's eyes, wrapping their arms around each other as Umah rests her head on his chest.

"I love you, Umah", Travas softly said while stroking the back of her head.

"I love you, too, Travas", Umah replied before kissing her beloved vulpin's muzzle lips. And with this final act of passion, the vampuric couple reclines peacefully on their bed, drifting off to sleep through the night.

*Within the Veron Opus Police Department, Alopex*

Dawn has approached for the Residents of Alopex, with many beginning to awaken from their much needed slumber. But despite the slow awakening, the Police Department in downtown Veron Opus was already up and running, with many officers of various ranks moving about with their business. But inside Sgt. Reese's Office, he had been looking through the databases, hoping to find some of Fiona's records. And to his luck, along with a near-full pot of coffee in his system, he finds some data and eyewitness reports concerning the former principal. And as he looks at the information, he notices the files containing some darker, unexpectedly evil information regarding her past.

"What the kenal…" Sgt. Reese thought, browsing through the information swiftly, yet thoroughly in order to comprehend what he had discovered. But as he was reading, Officer Morrison begins knocking on the door and waits outside patiently. "Come in", the sergeant said, allowing the officer to enter and walk towards the vulpin.

"Morning, Sgt. Reese", Officer Morrison greeted while noticing the nearly empty pot of coffee nearby. "Abusing the caffeine, I see", he continued.

"Needed it to keep up all night", Sgt. Reese claimed.

"What for", Morrison asked.

"To find information regarding Fiona's background", Reese answered. "And speaking of which, I think you might wanna have a look at this", he said while scooting his roller chair away from the computer and allowing the officer to lean down and look at the monitor. But as the officer was reading, he turns to face the young sergeant with a small sense of disbelief, unsure of what to make of the information.

"What the kenal is this", Morrison asked. "I knew Fiona was the one that committed the seductive murders over the past four years… but since when did she begin committing them at other places", he wondered, reading the information that Reese had provided.

"Apparently, it seems she's been doing this for about a decade now", Reese explained. "And nearly fifty of them seem to be committed at a place called 'Nosgoth'", he continued as Morrison looked towards the younger vulpin curiously.

"Nosgoth…?" Morrison wondered. "I've never heard of the place".

"Nor have I until Johnny mentioned something about the place. And If I'm not mistaken, I believe Johnny's taken residence there", Reese claimed. "However, it may be possible that Fiona might have come from there as well", he continued.

"By the maker…" Morrison replied "I don't know what goes down over there… but telling by the information you've discovered, it might be a dangerous place to live in".

"Most likely…" Reese said as he looked upon his watch. "And speaking of… I gotta get to General Travas Sr.'s office before he becomes dangerous himself", he continued while printing out the information he had found, grabbing it along with various other files regarding Fiona Downing. "I'll see you later", the vulpin sergeant spoke while heading towards the door, with Officer Morrison following behind. And as the officer exited the sergeant's office, Reese locks the door and heads towards the general's office. And as the young sergeant leaves, Morrison heads towards his own office, with questions beginning to form within the depths of his mind.

*Inside the Citadel, Nosgoth*

Peace and quiet fills the air and a small amount of sunlight shines through the windows. And as it made contact with the female vampire, Umah slowly awakens and looks upon her beloved resting on their bed. And within a few moments, the vampuric vulpin awakens to see his fiancée looking upon him, causing him to smile while kissing her soft, purple colored lips. But within the next moment, he gently breaks the kiss and looks upon her silver-purple colored eyes.

"Morning, hon", Travas greeted. "Sleep well?"

"Of course", Umah answered while getting out of bed and headed for her dresser. "And you?"

"Yup", Travas replied while getting out of bed and heads towards his dresser. And as he opens the drawer, he grabs out a pair of dark gray distressed skintight jeans, black tank top, gray boxers, a solid black V-neck t-shirt. Thus, he starts getting his clothes on while taking his time.

As Travas was getting dressed, Umah began to browse upon her collection of clothing, ranging from renaissance to post-modern. But despite the vast collection, she grabs a pair of dark blue skintight jeans, a black lace thong, and a black slim fitting midriff, slipping her clothes on as Travas finished putting on his clothing. Once she had finished, the couple grab their converse shoes, putting them on before looking at each other once again.

"Umah, Travas, are you both awake at this hour", Janos asked within their minds.

"Yes, we're awake. Just getting our shoes on", Both Umah and Travas answered within 'the Whisper' as they finish tying their shoes.

"Excellent, I need you both to teleport to the Sacred Chambers at once. We need to discuss our plans concerning your wedding", Janos spoke, sending an unexpected wave of surprise towards the two.

"That sounds great, Janos!" Travas exclaimed. "We'll be down there in about-" he started until he turns to hear the sound of Umah softly groaning. Then he turns around to see her gagging and heading for the restroom, following her inside to see her on her knees and leaning towards the toilet. And in that moment, Umah began to vomit as Travas runs and kneels at her side,

"Umah, are you okay", Travas asked alarmed and worryingly as Umah flushes the toilet and looks upon him.

"Not really… I think I might be sick", Umah answered before immediately closing her mouth and leans towards the toilet, vomiting within the bowl once again before flushing.

"Travas… is something wrong", Janos asked within the vulpin's mind, wondering what was going on.

"Umah just started vomiting less than a minute ago. I think she might be pregnant", Travas answered as he hears a gasp come from his sire inside his mind.

"What", Janos exclaimed upon hearing what Travas had said. "That's not possible… our race was cursed with sterility by the Hylden many aeons ago", he claimed.

"Apparently that rule might've been broken in Umah's case", Travas answered within 'the Whisper'. "But right now, I'm tending to her needs".

"I understand", Janos said within Travas' mind. "However, Vorador and I are on our way to check up on her", he continued as he disconnected 'the Whisper' before the vulpin could say anything else. And true to his word, Janos and Vorador teleport into their bathroom to see Umah flushing the toilet after vomiting.

"Umah, are you alright", Vorador asked in a concerned tone as Umah stands back onto her feet. However, Umah's legs began to wobble a bit and falls into Travas' arms, causing the vulpin to hold onto her bridal style.

"Not really…" Umah answered. "I think I might need to see a doctor", she continued. But within a short moment, a sudden thought comes to Travas as his ears perk up and looks at his sick fiancée.

"Umah, I happen to know where a doctor could be found", Travas claimed. "It happens to be the same one I was with neat the Canyons thirty hours after I defeated Adrian four years ago", he continued as Vorador looked upon him with a curious, yet familiar expression.

"Wait, do you happen to be speaking about Dr. Vasserdale by chance", Vorador asked.

"Yep", Travas answered.

"Then perhaps we should go to him and have Umah examined at once", Janos suggested as the vulpin nods in agreement.

"Sounds like a plan", Travas agreed. "C'mon, let's go", he exclaimed while Janos and Vorador approaches him. Then, Travas began to gather energy as a bright white colored aura began to engulf the vampuric group. Then in a moment, the group disappears from within the bathroom, teleporting towards the doctor to get Umah examined if whether she was pregnant or suffering from some other illness of sort.

*Within the Cabin Refuge, the Canyons near Meridian*

All is quiet within the Canyons and a demonic-like female vampire continues to meditate within the porch of her home. At the same time, the doctor continues to work with his medical studies as well as other house chores inside. But outside, whist the demonic-vampire was meditating, a bright colored aura suddenly appears on the front yard near the river, catching her attention and preparing for battle. But as she senses the energy, she realizes that it wasn't any of her enemies, yet some of her allies, including a familiar vulpin she and Dr. Vasserdale had taken care of four years prior. However, she notices Umah, obviously sick, in Travas' arms, causing her to walk hastily towards her worryingly, yet slightly curious at the same time.

"Travas, what happened", the Seer asked, looking upon Umah's sickened state.

"This morning she started vomiting just as we were about to teleport towards the Main Chambers", Travas answered. "And she might possibly be pregnant", he continued, causing the Seer's eyes to widen in shock and look back and forth at Vorador and the vulpin. But before she could say anything, Dr. Vasserdale walks outside and looks upon the group of vampires nearby, walking towards them hastily with curiously flowing through his mind.

"Madam Seer, what's going on", Dr. Vasserdale asked, looking upon Umah sickened state.

"She needs to have her womb examined", the Seer answered. "She began vomiting just a few moments ago. There's a possibility she might be pregnant", she continued as Dr. Vasserdale began examining Umah's sickened state.

"I see… bring her into my office and I'll take a look", Dr. Vasserdale spoke as he enters the cabin refuge once again. This time, Travas follows him with Umah in his arms as the others remain outside.

"How is it possible for Umah to become pregnant if vampires were cursed with sterility along with the blood thirst?" the Seer asked in a calmly confused tone.

"Although I am unsure about the reason why, it may possibly have something to do with Travas being a living vampire", Janos suggested, turning to face Vorador. "Do you have anything to say about this", he asked, wondering what the fellow vampire was thinking.

"All I could think about is whether or not to take this as something unpleasant or a blessing", Vorador answered.

"And speaking of Travas, he's approaching us right now", the Seer spoke, watching the vulpin jogging towards them eagerly.

"Travas, what makes of Umah at this time", Janos asked.

"It's confirmed", Travas answered. "Umah's pregnant", he continued, causing the other vampires' eyes to widen upon hearing the news. And within a short moment, Umah, although slightly ail, walks out of the cabin and wraps her arms around her fiancée, kissing his muzzle lips as Travas held her in his arms.

"How do you feel, Umah", Janos asked.

"Though slightly ail, much better, along with being excited about bearing a child", Umah replied, giggling softly and holding onto her fiancée.

"Ready to go and begin our wedding plans, Umah", Travas asked as Umah nods and Janos began to summon forth his teleportation energy. And as the group of vampires nod towards Travas, the vulpin picks his fiancée up bridal style as Janos finalizes the energy, engulfing them into a bright white colored light. And within a mere moment, the group of vampires teleport from the Cabin Refuge and towards the Citadel, leaving the Seer to tend to her own business once more.

Within two months of the pregnancy, the wedding plans are formulated and the items needed are being gathered by the vast majority of the vampires. Suits and dresses were being purchased within Willendorf while various other decorations are being bought within the other surrounding towns. But despite the financial troubles as well as a few demonic encounters along the way, the vampires manage to obtain the items without facing any injury at all.

Within the next month, and after practicing countless number of times at the Citadel, Travas and Umah's big day finally arrives. The reception is held inside the Chapel as the Broderick family, the vampuric and human Cabal members, and the bishop attends the service. Although the vampuric vulpin became a bit nervous during the wedding, he manages to pull it together just before he kisses his bride. Once the reception over, the married couple, along with the guests and bishop, celebrate by eating a wonderful feast prepared by Meridian's finest chefs while following the wedding traditions. And as a result to the wedding, new memories were created as many took photos of the wedding and of the newly wedded couple.

*Veron Opus, Alopex, several months after the wedding*

Several months after Travas and Umah's wedding, the Starfox return to their home after returning from lunch at a diner downtown. Once they enter their home, the kits run for the den as their parents sit near the dining room table. At the same time, Travas Sr. sets down a couple of fliers on the table they've obtained while eating lunch at the diner. And, with interest forming into their minds, they read the fliers thoroughly and look upon each other with satisfaction.

"This is great! We might actually be able to get the girls guitar lessons during the summer", Victoria spoke while hugging her beloved mate excitingly. But despite her excited behavior, she removed her arms that held her husband and sat next to her beloved general.

"I couldn't agree with you more", Travas Sr. agreed. "I'm glad we could find a summer activity for the kits while we're working", he continued while sighing in relief. "And thank the maker we don't have to deal with any more trouble at School regarding Scarlet until August... just wish she can stay out of trouble. But all I hope is that this upcoming school year is better than-" the general tried to think until he hears a knock on the door nearby, causing the General to turn and face the door curiously.

"Travas, hon, could you go see who that is", Victoria asked as she gets out of her chair and began walking towards the den, upon which was where their kits were playing in.

"No problem, hon. I'll be right back", Travas Sr. answered while getting out of his chair and began walking towards the front door. But about halfway there, the being outside began banging on the door rather hardly, causing the general to stop on his tracks and become annoyed by the person's impatience. "Hold on a minute! I'm coming", he yelled, rather in an annoyed tone before continuing to walk towards the front door. But when he gets there, and before he places his hand-paw on the doorknob, he turns to see his mate concerned regarding the sudden banging on the door.

"Hon… is something wrong", Victoria asked, looking upon her husband with a worried look in her eyes.

"Everything's fine, hon… but please, keep a close eye on the kits just in case", Travas Sr. suggested before turning back to face the door, leaning towards the peephole in order to see who it was waiting impatiently outside. But all he could see was the head of a black and white colored felin with blood red eyes. But what catches his attention was that there was something attached onto his back. Yet upon seeing the being's glaring eyes, the general's heart began to beat hastily, so much so that everything around him began to slowdown, even his own movements and heart. All he could do now was place his right hand-paw upon the doorknob, slowly turning it until it could turn no more.

*The Vampire Citadel, Nosgoth*

Inside the Vampire Citadel, the vampires in the Citadel wait eagerly inside, for any day now, Umah's baby was due since she was nine months within her pregnancy. But while they wait eagerly for the baby's arrival, Travas, despite his eagerness for his child to be born, was also waiting patiently for another, unpleasant force that was to come into the near future. And when his wife turns to face him, she notices his troubled, serious expression and begins to approach him.

"Travas… what ails you", Umah asked, gently rubbing his left arm and causing him to look at her calmly, yet smile softly upon her.

"I'm okay, hon. Just have a few things going through my mind at the moment", Travas answered as he planted a gently kiss on her forehead. "And how are you feeling right now?"

"Anxious about the baby, but I'm alright", Umah answered. "But tell me… what's coursing your mind", she asked as Travas slightly turned his head towards the left, partially looking away from her.

"It's about the next demon…" Travas answered. "I know he's supposed to attack sometime in the near future, but I don't know where he's gonna strike first. On top of that, I'm still trying to figure out who he's taken hostage", he continued, but then Umah places her right hand on his cheek and turns his head towards her, looking at the soft glow of his emerald green eyes.

"Travas, whenever we arrives upon the land of Nosgoth, we'll make sure we do whatever it takes to stop this demon and save whoever the hostage is", Umah reassured, kissing his cheek before holding onto her husband into her arms.

"Thanks, Umah… I'm glad I married someone as comforting and reassuring as you", Travas claimed while kissing his wife's lips. And within a moment, Doyle arrives just as the married couple breaks the kiss. "Doyle, is there a task that is required of us to do at this time", she asked as she and her husband began looking upon the male vampire curiously.

"Travas, you have a phone call from your friend, Johnny", Doyle answered. "And it seems he needs to speak with you right away".

"I have a feeling that it doesn't sound too good", Travas thought. "Alright, tell him I'll be over there in about half an hour", he continued while kissing his wife's cheek. "I gotta go, Umah, I need to find out what's going on and what Johnny needs to tell me".

"I understand", Umah replied, kissing the vulpin's muzzle lips in response.

At the moment Travas breaks the kiss, he immediately runs downstairs towards the Underground Chamber. Within the moment he enters, he grabs the keys to the hover bike parked near the motorcycle and immediately hops on, starting the ignition and opening the Chamber exit. Once the door was about halfway open, the vulpin presses onto the gas with full pressure, hoping to arrive towards Meridian and find out whatever news his kithood friend needed to tell him.

But back at the Citadel, Umah begins walking towards the Main Chambers, with Doyle following her there. At the moment both vampires arrived, they notice Vorador looking suspiciously upon the direction in which Dark Eden lies, And as a response to the sight, Umah began to approach the vampire with confusion and questionable curiosity.

"Vorador, what's troubling you", Umah asked, causing the green vampire to turn and face her.

"I sense Dark Eden is brewing up something dark once again… and yet I do not know what", Vorador answered just as Raziel entered the Main Chambers, drying the sweat off of his bony face with a gray towel. "Raziel, do you also sense the dark forces coming from within Dark Eden?"

"Unfortunately, I do…" Raziel answered, placing the towel in the basket near the entrance of the Main Chambers while grabbing his cowl, wrapping it around the lower part of his head down to his shoulders. "And I also happen to sense someone else within him, apparently taken prisoner by whoever the demon may be".

"Then perhaps we should investigate Dark Eden and find out who it might be. From there we could-" Vorador tried to speak until an explosion was heard outside, specifically from the southern direction. "What the hell was that?!"

"It seems the demon must've used some sort of teleportation spell to instantly teleport himself to Meridian", Umah spoke calmly with a slight hint of urgency in her tone. "We must teleport to Meridian before Travas arrives to the city", she continued as Janos, Raziel, and Vorador looks at her with widened eyes.

"We cannot have you risk your life while you're carrying Travas' child in your womb", Raziel exclaimed, causing the pregnant vampire to look upon him with serious eyes.

"We need to have as many vampires participate in the battle as we can, otherwise our efforts would prove meaningless", Umah shot back as Janos steps tween the two figures and faces them both.

"Raziel, Umah, we do not have time for this discord. We have to teleport to Meridian at once", Janos ordered before looking upon Umah. "Whether or not you wish to go, I cannot stop you… but I urge you to reconsider your involvement in this monstrosity", he urgently suggested. But despite the female vampires understanding, she merely shook her head and faced the winged vampire, with her mind already set with what she truly wanted.

"I understand your concern, Janos, I honestly do… but I simply cannot sit here and do nothing", Umah replied while looking upon Janos with serious eyes. "I may not be able to fight, but the least I can do is get the others to safety and perhaps identify whoever the hostage may be", she continued, causing the others to sigh with frustration upon failure to convince the pregnant vampire to refrain from getting involved with the situation.

"Very well, then let us teleport there right away", Janos said. "I need you three to come closer and remain still so I can focus on teleporting towards Meridian", he ordered as Raziel, Umah, and Vorador follow the winged vampire's orders. In that moment, the winged vampire began to summon forth the energy he needs to teleport towards their destination. And with a purple colored aura covering their body outlines, the group teleports towards Meridian, leaving nothing but a gas like essence within the Main Chambers.

*On the road towards Meridian*

About a minute after Travas leaves the Citadel, he continues to drive onward towards Meridian with a normal speed. But before the vulpin makes it towards Ziegsturhl, he suddenly hears an explosion go off somewhere in the southern direction. As a response, he presses on the gas and began to drive at a faster speed than the road's usual speed limit of fifty-five miles an hour.

"That didn't sound good", Travas thought. "And telling by where it's coming from, it sounds like it's coming from the south… and specifically somewhere in Meridian", he thought while focusing on driving towards the city. "Hang on, Johnny, I'm on my way", the vulpin continued thinking while pressing on the gas, going faster than he's supposed to, hoping to get to the endangered town before it was too late.

*Within the Upper City, Meridian, Nosgoth*

The fire burns through various parts of Meridian as the local residents continue to run about in the chaotic city. On the ground, the Broderick family manages to get into the Jeep and start driving towards the Meridian Exit. But before they arrive to the Lower City, his path was blocked off by some brown electrical demons arriving onto the scene through electrical teleportation. But the vulpin driver wasn't easily intimidated as he presses a button that activates some sort of electrical cannon, unraveling itself from the front and firing upon the demons. And as the blasts made contact, the demons' bodies began to explode like firecrackers in a cake, turning them into nothing but various body parts scattering around the area.

"No one tries to fuck with my family and gets away with it", Johnny exclaimed while pressing on the gas and driving towards the Lower City entrance. Despite the panicking people and rioting demons roaming about, the family manages to arrive towards the exit upon five to ten minutes' notice. At the same time, the group of vampires arrives upon the entrance of Meridian, managing to cross paths with the fleeing family. As a response, Johnny parks the Jeep just within a few meters from their position and gets out of the vehicle, eying them while they were paying attention to the onslaught going on in Meridian.

"Johnny, what happened", Janos asked urgently.

"Apparently, a felin based demon started attacking the city just shortly after I tried to call Travas", Johnny answered. "However, it seems he and a few others have a hostage with him".

"Were you able to find the identity of the demon's hostage", Umah asked.

"And what was it that you wanted to tell Travas", Vorador asked.

"For starters, I wasn't able to identify who the hostage was, but what I do know for sure is that he or she is a vulpin", Johnny answered before turning towards Vorador. "As for what wanted to tell Travas about, I needed to tell him that his father called from a phone booth near his home on Alopex, telling me that he desperately needed to see his son. But before he could tell me why, the explosion happened and destroyed the power supply at the plant nearby", he continued as he turns to face the bony demon for the first time. "Who's the demon with you", the gray vulpin asked as his wife and child also began looking at the blue skinned bony demon.

"I am Raziel", Raziel answered. "However, we do not have time for any introductions since this monstrosity is going on".

"He's right, we must head for someplace close by where Nexus currently resides", Umah spoke. "Johnny, where was it did you last seen Nexus", she asked.

"Last time I saw him was on the rooftops of the Clock Tower near the Church", Johnny answered.

"Very well, but we need you and your family to evacuate Meridian right now before this entire charade worsens", Vorador spoke. "We're going to teleport towards a place close to the church and see if we could Identify the hostage", he continued while summoning forth his teleportation energy.

"Alright, I'll be taking my family towards Alexia's Parent's house in Stahlberg", Johnny said. "And if you need us, you'll find us there".

"Understood… now be gone and get your family to safety", Vorador replied as Johnny merely nodded in response.

As the vampire was summoning forth his teleportation energy, Johnny and his family immediately run back towards the Jeep and began driving away from the chaotic city and towards Stahlberg. And within a matter of seconds, the Vampires, including Raziel, manage to teleport from the city entrance to the rooftops of another building right across from the Clock Tower. And there, standing on the Clock Tower rooftops stood Nexus, the hostage, who was struggling to get free from the sand-brown colored wool bag it was imprisoned in, and two other demonic companions standing behind their master.

"It seems we've found Nexus… along with the hostage", Raziel claimed while Umah was looking upon the demons and their hostage closely. "And it's strange… he has bat-like wings similar to the ones I had before Kain torn them up with his claws, leaving me with the wings I have now", he thought.

"And I assume the feline demon with the wings is Nexus", Umah spoke, looking upon the black and white furred feline demon with bat-like wings. But then, she began to notice something moving freely about on the back of the bag.

"Umah, did you see something out of the ordinary", Vorador asked. But before Umah could answer, Janos and Raziel dragged the two vampires, while being careful with the pregnant one, behind the tower part of the rooftops. Thankfully, they sigh in relief as a response to not being seen by the other demons.

"Thank god", Janos spoke softly, sighing in relief.

"As I have said before you and I were pulled towards the back of the rooftop tower, what did you see that was out of the ordinary", Vorador asked once more.

"Before we were dragged behind the tower, I've noticed the hostage having some sort of fox tail attached to the being", Umah claimed while looking back towards the demons and their hostage.

"A fox tail", Vorador replied. "Are you telling me that the hostage may be some sort of vulpine prisoner?"

"That seems to be the case, yes", Umah answered while looking upon the group of demons and their hostage. "This also proves Johnny was speaking the truth about the hostage being the vulpin… but who is it?" she wondered while examining the hostage closely.

But as the pregnant vampire continues to eye the group, she notices that the feline demon began to untie the bag containing the hostage within. About a few brief moments later, they untie the rope and take the hostage out of the bag, revealing it to be a young vulpin girl about the age of nine with solid orange fur on her. However, the vulpin girl wore a solid dark green T-shirt with black boot-cut jeans and black/white converse shoes. But what caught the pregnant vampire's attention was that she had brown colored hair with snow white bangs brushed to both sides. But at the very moment she saw the young vulpin girl's frightened, emerald green eyes, Umah's eyes shot wide open in shock upon recognition of who the hostage really was.

"Oh my God…" was all Umah could softly say while covering her mouth with shock, uncertain of what to do in that particular moment or what to make of the shocking discovery itself.

*On the road nearby Meridian*

A calm sense of anxiety fills the air and various people flee from the burning town of Meridian. But despite Nosgoth's people fleeing from the city, Travas continues to drive towards the town, hoping to find answers upon what was going on. But within about a few minutes of driving through the chaotic roads, he spots a familiar Jeep driving through and manages to pull over to the side. In a similar manner, the driver of the Jeep also pulls over to the same side the vampuric vulpin was. And when he gets out, he instantly recognizes the driver as his kithood friend, Johnny, along with his family getting out and following him as well.

"Johnny!" Travas shouted, embracing his friend with a tight hug. "Are you alright?"

"Thankfully, yes", Johnny answered. "Right now, I'm trying to get my family out of here and towards Alexia's parent's house in Stahlberg. What about you? Are you about to confront the felin demon within the Upper City?"

"Looks like I don't have a choice", Travas answered. "But before I forget, what did you want to tell me over the phone before the explosion went off?"

"Oh, that", Johnny said. "Apparently, your father somehow managed to get a hold of me through the holo-phone while I was in my office. And from how he was acting, it looked like he was trying to tell me something urgent."

"Wait… my father", Travas asked. "Does this have to do with the vision I saw nine months ago", he wondered within his mind, looking down and rubbing his chin briefly before ceasing and looking back at the gray vulpin in front of him. "Were you able to find out what he wanted?"

"Apparently, he found out that I know of your vampuric life and needed to speak with you at once", Johnny answered. "But before he was able to tell me what it was, Nexus blew up the power plant that was located within the Industrial Quarter, cutting the connection between me and the general off".

"I see", Travas replied.

"And just about five minutes ago, Umah and the others arrived upon the scene and teleported towards the Upper City", Johnny claimed, causing Travas' eyes to widen in surprise.

"Wait, my wife is with the others", Travas asked with wide eyes and a calmly shocked tone.

"Apparently so, along with Janos, Vorador, and the newcomer, Raziel, if I'm not mistaken", Johnny replied. But before Travas could utter another word, he began to sense a few demonic energy signals, along with the hostage's, teleporting towards another place in the north. However, he also began to sense a familiar voice speaking within his mind; thus, he began to focus upon the approaching voice from within his mind.

"Travas, this is your wife speaking; I've got some bad news", Umah spoke within her husband's mind with urgency in her tone.

"Umah, what's going on? What are you doing out here with the others", Travas asked worryingly within 'the Whisper'.

"Travas, I'm alright, and so is the baby in my womb", Umah answered within her husband's mind. "I came here with the others to find out what was going on. But shortly after our arrival, I've found out the identity of the hostage. And just a few moments ago, Nexus teleported towards Dark Eden, making preparations to use the hostage as a blood sacrifice", she continued with urgency in her tone.

"Damnit", Travas cursed. "We've gotta get to Dark Eden before he sacrifices the hostage and resurrects Infernum", he continued within 'the Whisper'.

"Travas, before we depart for Dark Eden, there's something you must know about who the hostage is", Umah spoke urgently within Travas' mind.

"Umah, I have to get going, and I need you to get back to the Citadel and wait with the others", Travas replied within 'the Whisper'.

"But, Travas-"

"Umah, I don't wanna end up losing you or the child", Travas interrupted loudly within 'the Whisper'. "I need you to wait for me at the-"

"TRAVAS, THE ONE THAT NEXUS TOOK HOSTAGE IS SCARLET", Umah shouted within Travas' mind. And upon hearing the hostage's name, he went into complete shock, almost to the point where he was numb. All the vulpin could do in that moment was stand there in a shocked, numb stance, with his eyes widened, and his mouth barely open.

"Travas… is everything alright", Johnny asked worryingly while approaching the vulpin until he was about a foot and a half away from him. All that the gray vulpin got in response was nothing more than Travas tilting his head upwards to reveal his shocked, numb expression. "Travas, what's wrong", he asked worryingly while shaking the vampuric vulpin slightly, causing him to snap out of his trance and look upon his kithood friend.

"Scarlet's the hostage…" Travas answered quietly.

"What", Johnny asked; unsure of what his friend had just said.

"SCARLET'S THE ONE THAT'S BEEN TAKEN HOSTAGE", Travas shouted, causing both Johnny and Alexia to gasp in shock.

"Oh my god", Alexia spoke, covering her mouth and looking upon Travas with shocked eyes. But in a matter of seconds, the vampuric vulpin looks down upon himself and collapses onto his knees

"Travas, what are you gonna do", Johnny asked, causing the vulpin to shake his head in distraught.

"I don't know what to do anymore…" Travas answered. "I have to save my sister… but if I show myself to Nexus while she's there, Scarlet will find out about my vampuric existence. But if I don't do anything about this, Scarlet's gonna die", he thought while placing his hand-paws on the sides of his head, shaking from side to side in turmoil. "What am I gonna do", the vulpin thought as Johnny began to approach the vampuric vulpin. All of the sudden, he grabs Travas' sleeveless shirt collar with both of his hand-paws, getting him back up onto his feet. Then, he pulls the vampuric vulpin close to him until he was about six inches away from his face while retaining his grip on Travas' shirt collar.

"Travas don't give me any of that 'I don't know what to do anymore' bullshit! You were able to save various lives ever since you became a vampire, and you managed save my ass countless number of times over the years. Now you're telling me that you can't save your own sister?!" Johnny said calmly at first before yelling, tightening his grip upon his friend's shirt collar.

"I want to, but I don't want Scarlet to see me like this and scar her for the rest of her life", Travas admitted before tilting his head down.

"Listen to me, Travas, that's your own sister out there and right now, whether she finds out about your vampuric existence or now, she needs you", Johnny yelled with seriousness in his tone and looking upon him with serious eyes.

"But Johnny, I-"

"WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT, THE SECRECY OF YOUR OWN VAMPURIC EXISTENCE OR YOUR OWN SISTER'S LIFE", Johnny screamed, causing his words to hit Travas right in his heart. But then a sense of realization came to the vampuric vulpin as he looked upon Johnny with widened, numb eyes. However, Travas nods in response as Johnny released his grip upon the vampuric vulpin.

"You're right…" Travas admitted. "I shouldn't be concerned about my own secrecy… but I can't save her alone…" he continued, causing Johnny to look upon him with a calmer, worried expression.

"Travas…" Johnny spoke softly, placing his left hand-paw on Travas' right shoulder. "I know you can do this. You've gotta believe in yourself and find the strength to save you sister", he continued, causing Travas numb, slightly frightened expression to turn into a more, confident one while softly smiling upon his friend.

"Understood… but I need your help", Travas replied. And when the vampuric vulpin said those words, Johnny turns to face his family, who in turn smiles at him and nod in agreement.

"Johnny… please stay safe", Alexia spoke in a concerned tone as Johnny moves his left hand-paw from his friend's shoulder and placed it on his wife's right cheek.

"You know I always do, babe", Johnny replied while smirking softly and kissing his wife's lips for a moment. Then, he breaks the kiss and kneels down to face his son, who was holding his mother's hand, and places both hand-paws on his shoulders. "Look out for your mother while she's driving towards your grand-parents' house, okay", he ordered while softly smiling and hugging his son gently.

"Daddy, please come back safe and sound", Dylan replied in a slightly sad tone, holding onto his father as tight as he could with his left arm before letting go within a moment later.

"Johnny, let's get the hover bike dropped off at the Citadel and then we could teleport towards Dark Eden", Travas spoke slightly loudly while jumping onto his hover bike and starting the ignition. And as Alexia and her son get into the Jeep, Johnny jumps onto the seat behind Travas and wraps his arms around his friend's waist. In a mere moment, Travas presses the gas onto the hover bike as Alexia does the same with the Jeep, leaving the area and began driving towards their own destinations.

*Somewhere within Dark Eden*

The skies are as red as blood, and the demons began to gather around the heart of the refurbished Western Industrialized Kingdom of Dark Eden, chanting for both their new master and for their former fallen master, Infernum. But as the crowd gradually rises, Nexus and his two companions, along with their hostage, Scarlet, arrive into the top floor in the room before the altar. While their master was untying the vulpin child from the bag and pulling her out, the other two demons cut the ropes from the vixen's arms and legs. When Scarlet was freed, Nexus pins her down onto the ground with his left foot-paw while the other two demons stand back and watch the entire charade.

"You can try to escape, but the other demons in this room will try to kill you if you do", Nexus spoke as Scarlet continuously tried to escape, despite her arms and legs being freed. "I suggest you enjoy the fresh air while you still can. Because once the other demons bring the guillotine to the altar, the sacrificial ritual will begin and Infernum will once again walk the earth", he continued, smirking in delight while the vixen child looks upon him with frightened, angered eyes.

"No! Get away from me", Scarlet yelled as she shoves his foot off of her and tries to run away from him. However, she tripped and was stopped when the feline demon places his foot-paw onto her back.

"I don't think so, young one", Nexus spoke whilst looking towards the vulpin child with serious eyes. "You're not going anywhere except the cell", he claimed, picking Scarlet up by the back of her dark green T-shirt collar and dragging her towards the cell downstairs. And upon arrival to the dark room, with the exception of a fresh, dimly lit candle, the feline demon throws the vixen child into the cell and locks the wooden door. Now that the child was left alone, all she could do in that moment was get on the bed and curl into a ball. And within a few minutes, the vixen child starts sobbing as tears began to form in her eyes.

"I'm scared… I want to be with my family again", Scarlet thought within her mind as tears began streaming down her face. "Travas… I wish you were alive… I need you more than ever", she continued while tightening her grip around her legs, hoping to find solace from the horrors she now faced within Dark Eden.

*Nearby the Citadel*

From the chaos that started in Meridian soon spread out in the south-western part of Nosgoth. But despite all of the traffic caused by the people, Johnny and Travas manage to arrive to the Citadel, taking a back road just to flee the oncoming madness. Within a matter of a few moments, the two vulpins manage to drive into the Underground Chamber, parking the hover bike next to the motorcycle and jumping off of the vehicle.

"Alright, you ready to teleport to Dark Eden", Travas asked, placing his right hand-paw on his friend's left shoulder.

"More ready than I'll ever be", Johnny answered. And with this said, Travas began summoning forth his teleportation energy, focusing his mind towards Dark Eden. Then with a sudden flash brightening the chamber, the two disappear from the interior of the room and beheld the eastern entrance of the rebuilt Western Industrialized Kingdom.

"We're here…" Travas spoke. "But for some strange reason, I can't teleport towards the tower where Scarlet is being imprisoned in", he thought, looking around the entrance for any approaching demons that might come about.

"Travas… is something wrong", Johnny asked.

"Nothing at the moment… but I should've been able to teleport to the tower where my sister's kept. But there's some sort of spell or some other kind of magic preventing me from teleporting to where we need to go", Travas answered before sighing in frustration. "Damn… looks like we're gonna have to sneak around the city until we find the place".

"And search the city the old fashioned way", Johnny added, also sighing in frustration. But despite their frustrations, the two vulpins separated from the spot they arrived at and began searching the City, hoping to find the vixen child before anything devastating were to happen to her.

*The Western Section of the Industrialized Kingdom, Dark Eden*

After Johnny and Travas began their search on the eastern side of the kingdom, Janos, Umah, Raziel, and Vorador continue their search on the western side. But as they draw closer towards the tower where Scarlet was kept in, more demons start to appear from the roads. But nevertheless, the group continues to slay each demon with little to no trouble and progress towards the heart of the kingdom itself. When the group gets closer to the tower, however, they notice the large crowd waiting eagerly for their master to appear before the altar. All they could do now was look upon the crowd with a calm sense of shock flowing through them as the numbers continue to rise gradually, yet sharply with each passing second.

"My god… why are so many demons gathering here…" Raziel wondered.

"It appears the bloody ritual is about to begin soon", Umah claimed.

"Ritual…?" Raziel asked.

"It was one of the events that took place in Travas' vision… and it seems it's about to begin", Umah answered while surveying the area for anything that could aid them in getting to the tower. And within a few moments, she spots a ladder some fifty yards away from their position. "And I think I may have found a way to get to the rooftops", she claimed, pointing towards the ladders.

"Excellent work, Umah", Janos said. "But we must make haste towards the rooftops. I sense that time may be bitterly short", he continued as the group hastily sprints towards the rooftop. But before they were to make it towards the ladder, a fiery barrier suddenly forms, encircling the group into a ring of fire. With this, a group of large, brown-skinned fiery demons with sharp horns on their backs, heads, and elbows appear before the group. The group of demons immediately began breathing fire towards the opposing group, causing them to jump backwards away from their attack.

"You shall not pass, pestilent fools", the first fiery demon spoke as it and the others got into battle position. "And neither will you, Raziel", he continued, eying the blue skinned bony demon

"We will see about that, you vile bastards", Raziel calmly shot back, causing he and the other vampires to sprint towards the demons and engage into battle against them. Thus, both opposing parties began to clash against one another, fighting ferociously until one of the groups falls and perishes under the hands of the other.

*Within the eastern section of the kingdom*

Various demons continued journeying towards the tower and prepare to watch the ritual take place. Within the alleyways, however, Johnny continues to search for the means to get onto the rooftops while avoiding the demonic residents. But unknown to the gray vulpin, something had been watching over him from within the shadows ever since his arrival to Dark Eden. But despite the being watching the gray vulpin, it continues to lurk in the shadows as Johnny continues to look for a way to get onto the rooftops.

"Damn… there has to be a ladder or something that I could use to get onto the rooftops", Johnny thought while looking around the area he now occupies. But within a few short moments, he spots a ladder that was located just within thirty feet in front of him. "Ah, there we go! Now I can get onto the rooftops and continue onwards to the tower", he continued thinking, smiling softly and running towards the metallic ladder. But about halfway there, he stops after he began hearing strange rustling noises behind him, turning around quickly to see a green bladed demon revealing itself from within the shadows.

"Ah, yes… well if it isn't a familiar face of one of our former prisoners, Johnny Broderick", the green bladed demon spoke, grinning upon the gray vulpin as Johnny looked upon the demon with serious eyes.

"And I suppose you're one of the demons that failed to keep me contained after my friends helped me escape this fucking place", Johnny replied, smirking as the demon gets into battle position. The gray vulpin, too, gets into his battle stance and glares at the demon daringly. "And I bet you can't even lay a single hand, or what I should say, a single blade on me… just like you couldn't do shit against me the last time".

"Spare me your insults, you fox, and I grow tired of waiting to kill you at last", the green bladed demon yelled. "Now let us commence in battle at once", the demon exclaimed, growling upon the vulpin while Johnny was smirking in response.

"Dude, I couldn't agree with you more", Johnny replied as he and the demon began sprinting towards each other. And in that moment, the two began clashing against each other, finally settling the score between the two opposing forces at last.

*Inside the prisoner's cell, the Tower*

Outside, numerous amount of demons continue to chant for their new master's name along with the name of their previous leader, Infernum. But inside the dark, dimly lit cell, the vixen child continues to hold onto her own legs, keeping her face buried into her knees. Then all of the sudden, two electrical demons and Nexus unlock the door, causing Scarlet to turn and face the cell door as it opens. In that moment, the vixen child's depressed gesture turns into a more frightened one as her eyes widened in fear. All she could do now is run to the nearest corner and bury herself onto the ground in fear.

"No! Go away", Scarlet screamed as the two demons grabbed a hold of her arms, picking her up while the vixen child was kicking her legs hastily in the air. All she could do now was look upon the feline demon with a mixture of fear and hatred in her eyes. "Why are you doing this…?! What do you want?!" she shouted while her eyes began to fill with tears ready to stream down her face.

"What I want is someone with blood of Infernum's assassin or that of someone related to the murderer. And it seems yours will have to do since the one who murdered my master is not available", Nexus answered before turning his serious gesture with a more, devious one while smirking. "As for why… well, let's just say once the offering has been made, my master will return upon this world and take his revenge against the one who wrought the murderous deed to him", he continued as Scarlet began struggling, giving as much effort as she could to try and get free. But all it did as a result was cause the feline demon to laugh at her efforts. "Do you really think you could escape from us, girl? Please, these two demons are amongst the finest of my squadron. And let me tell you something, vixen: there's no escape for you. Nobody is coming to save you, not even your parents, you worthless little pawn", the feline demon continued until the vixen child suddenly spits onto his face.

"Fuck you, you filthy felin!" Scarlet shouted, causing the feline demon to hiss angrily at her.

"You filthy little vixen, HOW DARE YOU", Nexus shouted angrily, using the back of his right hand-paw to smack the vixen child's right cheek viciously, knocking her out of the two demons' grip and onto the rug. "Nobody ever spits on my face like that! NOBODY", he shouted, turning his sights towards the two demons while Scarlet began crying heavily as a result from her injury. "Take this brat to the Main Chamber and constrain her entire body, including her arms and legs! Her life has run its course as of now", he ordered while turning to face the exit.

"Lord Nexus, where are you going at this time", the first electrical demon asked curiously.

"I am required to go towards the altar at this very hour", Nexus answered. "I must make an announcement to the other demons, telling them that the sacrifice is about to take place", he continued, opening the door to the cell room and heading towards his destination. And nearly a short moment after the feline demon leaves, the two electrical demons leave the cell and head for the Main Chamber, where preparations for the ritual will begin.

*Within the western section of the kingdom, Dark Eden*

As the preparation for the ritual goes underway, Raziel and the other group continue to battle against the group of fiery demons that blocked their path towards the tower. But after fighting for nearly ten minutes, all four of the demons are slain and the vampuric group ran towards the ladder not too far from their position. But as soon as they began climbing towards the rooftop, Umah began feeling contractions within her womb, causing her to stop before she was able to climb the ladder. And in that moment, Vorador turned to face the pregnant vampire, noticing Umah holding onto her womb.

"Umah, are you alright", Vorador asked, causing the female vampire to look upon him in response.

"It's alright… it's just a kick", Umah claimed, grabbing a hold of the ladder and following the others towards the rooftops. "But now is not the time to discuss about my pregnancy. We must free Scarlet from the tower before her sacrifice begins", she continued, climbing upward to the rooftops with haste. Although Vorador wished to respond, he shrugs it off and continues to climb towards the rooftops to meet with the others.

Once Umah and Vorador made it to the top, the group continues sprinting towards the tower with haste, jumping from one rooftop to another while trying to avoid being spotted by the other demons. While they draw closer to the upper buildings, they continue to look at the demonic crowd as it continues to increase in numbers sharply. But when they got to the uppermost part of another building some one-hundred meters away from the tower, they notice Nexus appearing before the altar and look upon his demonic companions below.

"Fellow demons of Dark Eden", Nexus greeted. "I can see the crowd continues to grow as I speak. You've all been patient with me over the past hour or so for the ritual to begin. However… it seems our sacrificial offering is being prepared inside the Main Chamber as we speak. We will commence the ritual shortly and I thank you all for being patient with us", he spoke loudly to the demonic people as they began cheering in delight. And as the crowd continues to roar, the feline demon re-enters the tower as the group on the other building look upon the altar with shock and horror.

"Damn…!" Janos exclaimed. "The ritual is about to begin! We must hurry and stop the ritual at once before the sacrifice begins", he continued as he and the other members of the group starts sprinting swiftly towards the corresponding building that lead towards the Tower. But before they were able to jump, a green, gas-like aura forms around the group, encircling them into yet another circular barrier as multiple numbers of green bladed demons arrived. But these demons were not alone; however, as a group of four maroon-colored, gas-like demons arrive onto the scene. The vampuric group notices two bag-like pouches on the maroon-colored demons' backs while preparing to fight on oncoming onslaught.

"Where do you think you're going, wretched vampires", the first gas-like demon asked intimidatingly as it and the other demons got into their battle positions.

"We do not have time to be dealing with you pestilent demons! Now be gone, or die like all the others have before you", Vorador shouted, but began growling angrily when the demons start laughing at the green vampire mockingly. But when the intimidated vampire tries to attack, one of the gas-like demons attacks him by shooting its green, ghastly liquid substance from its mouth, throwing the vampire towards the barrier wall.

"Do you really think that you could defeat us in battle? Ha! Think again, you damned fool! You couldn't even lay the slightest finger on one of our own crew, and not a single one of you will be able to", the second gas-like demon spoke while smirking in delight, looking upon the vampuric group front of them. But then, the demons began to notice the blue skinned, bony demon summon forth some sort of wraith blade, coiling itself around his right arm.

"It would be unwise of you all to underestimate your opponents", Raziel claimed. "Because you have no god damned clue of what we're truly capable of".

"Really now", a green bladed demon asked doubtfully. "Then it looks like we're gonna have to see this for ourselves, am I correct?"

"Apparently so", Raziel answered, charging towards the demons with his vampires following behind. Like the vampuric group, the demons instantly sprint towards them hastily, with arms ready for combat. Then within a matter of seconds, both opposing forces collide with one another like an army violently clashing against each other. As a result, they continue to battle with everything they had until one of the clashing forces falls before the other.

*Somewhere within the heart of the kingdom, Dark Eden*

Despite all of the battles going on within the eastern and western sections of the industrialized kingdom, Travas continues to sprint towards the Tower through the alleyways. But despite all of the other demons coming towards the tower, he still continues his journey there while avoiding the other demons. But like all the others on both eastern and western parts of the kingdom, he, too, was stopped when a fiery barrier encircles around the alleyway as two brown skinned fiery demons appear before them. Upon short notice, the vampuric vulpin gets into his battle position and looks towards the two demons with annoyed, angered filled eyes.

"Well if it isn't the one that wrought the murderous deed to Infernum himself… Travas Starfox", the first brown fiery demon claimed while the two demons were forming fireballs in both of their hands.

"Damnit, I don't have time to deal with any of your bullshit!" Travas exclaimed. "Now get out of my way or die trying to fight against me", he shouted, attempting to sprint through the demons with haste.

"You're not going anywhere except towards the fiery pits of hell, you fiend", the second brown fiery demon shouted. "Now TAKE THIS", it shouted as they suddenly threw their fireballs towards the vulpin. However, Travas manages to deflect their attacks with ease and turns to face them both.

"Fine…! If you guys want to fight me, then so be it", Travas shouted in an annoyed tone, using his energy to summon forth the Soul Reaver blade. "But I'm gonna warn you both right now. Neither of you are getting out of here alive", he continued, sprinting towards the two approaching demons with great speed.

After the vulpin starts charging towards them, the two demons begin sprinting towards their opponent with fiery energy blasts ready to fire. But before they could attack, Travas uses the sword to strike through their mid-sections, severing their torsos from the lower part of their body. Their severed, but still living torsos land within about three feet from their legs as Travas turns to face the fallen demons. All they could do now was look up at the vulpin, seeing him preparing a stable, but powerful, blue colored energy blast within the palm of his right hand-paw. And before they had the slightest chance to react, Travas throws the energetic blast towards the two dying demons, exploding their severed bodies and turning them into nothing but ash blowing into the breeze.

"Fucking amateurs…" Travas spoke softly, turning to face the now dissipating fiery barrier that once blocked his path. "But thanks to them, I'm running behind schedule and losing chances to save my sister from her sacrificial execution", he thought, now sprinting hastily towards the tower. "Looks like I'm gonna have to speed things up a notch if I'm gonna make it to the tower in time", the vulpin thought as he now began sprinting faster than his usual speed. Despite the risks he's taking, the vulpin continues to sprint towards the tower with haste, hoping to save his sister before it was too late.

*Upon the altar of the Tower, Dark Eden*

The sky was now as red as blood itself, and the demonic crowd continues to increase in numbers within the Western Industrial Kingdom. But on the altar some twenty feet above, a young, feline demon with black and white fur, his long black hair tied back blood-red eyes, and a pair of bat-like wings on his back. The demon himself wore a pair of black leather pants with the leg openings tucked into his metallic boots. He also wore copper armored shoulder blades on both shoulders. The only thing he wore on his torso besides the shoulder blades was a black robe-like vest unbuttoned to reveal his lean, muscular toned chest and abs.

But despite his appearance, two brown colored electrical demons brought a guillotine with them to the heart of the altar. At the same time, a third electrical demon a few meters behind the other two brought a young vixen hostage, somewhere about the age of nine, her head covered in a black cloth tied back by a rope around her neck and muzzle. Her hand-paws and legs were also bound by the ropes, preventing her from trying to escape with the exception of her tail being able to move about. Despite how much effort she used to try and free herself, they were proven to be in vain as she was placed into the guillotine, with the demons slipping her head through the hole as the feline demon looked upon the demonic crowd below. And as he did, he grinned eagerly upon them chanting a familiar name.

"Infernum…! Infernum…! Infernum!" the demons chanted simultaneously as they continue to bow before their felin master, with their arms rising high and low.

"Great spirit of Infernum, we hear you", the feline demon shouted before looking down upon the other demons again, smirking upon their loyalty to their fallen master.

"We tremble and obey your every command", the demons chanted in unison.

"We offer this sacrifice upon the altar of Dark Eden", the feline demon shouted while looking down upon the loyal demons before the altar.

"The blood of our offering do we sacrifice to you", the demons chanted in loyal unison.

"May this blood nourish you and bring you back into this world one more", the feline demon shouted with pride one last time before the other demons rose before him.

"All hail, lord Infernum! All hail, Lord Nexus", the demons shouted in a chanting manner as the crowd began to roar with pride, raising their left fists in the air to signify their loyalty. At the same time, the feline demon, Nexus, heads for the two electrical demons while grabbing a jar containing some sort of dust-like contents inside.

"Let the ritual commence and begin operation in resurrecting our fallen master, bringing him back into Dark Eden and allow him to take his long-awaited revenge against his murderers", Nexus ordered.

"Yes, my lord", the two electrical demons replied while turning towards the twin doors and exiting the altar. At the same time, the feline demon continued walking towards the guillotine before kneeling down next to the young hostage.

"It is rather unfortunate that a young person such as yourself has to be sacrificed for our cause… but it seems your blood is required to fulfill the resurrection and bring my fallen master back into this world", Nexus claimed as the vixen child's cries grew louder despite her muzzle being tied shut by the rope. "And with this, it's time for you to die", the felin demon said as he begins to reach for the string attached to the execution device. But before he was able to pull the string, a sharp arrow strikes upon the demon's back, causing him to groan in pain. When he attempts to face the one responsible for shooting the arrow, it unexpectedly explodes, blowing Nexus towards the altar doors and crashing upon them violently. As he recovers, he looks upon the left part of the tower, noticing a familiar gray vulpin with a bow in his left hand-paw along with a case of exploding arrows attached to his back.

"Well if it isn't a familiar face that we've met several months ago, Johnny Broderick", Nexus said, looking upon the gray vulpin angrily as Johnny drew another arrow from the case and pulls it back against the string of the bow.

"Nexus, you get the fuck away from Scarlet, RIGHT FUCKING NOW", Johnny shouted, firing the explosive arrow towards the feline demon. But the demon wasn't gonna fall for this trick a second time. Thus, he catches the arrow swiftly before the sharp tip could even touch his furred flesh. This action sends shockwaves to the gray vulpin despite him expecting the demon to pull such a trick.

"How foolish", Nexus claimed. "Did you really think that same trick of yours would work twice? I don't think so", he continued as he starts flying towards the gray vulpin with haste. But just when he was about ten feet from him, he began to feel a telekinetic essence pulling him towards his left side. And before he knew it, he was met with a ferocious punch in the face by none other than the vampuric vulpin himself.

"You stay the fuck away from my sister, you son of a bitch!" Travas shouted, pinning him onto the ground and ruthlessly punching him as much as he could, with each punch intensifying as the onslaught continued on. But the odds soon change when Nexus telekinetically hurls the vulpin into the skies behind the Tower, flying after him at the moment he was freed.

Back at the Tower, Umah manages to arrive upon the altar and began freeing the vulpin child as Janos and Vorador engage in battle against the electrical demons near the doors. Raziel, on the other hand, began assisting Johnny on the ground level to keep the other demons away from the Tower. Just as Vorador and Janos were fighting the last surviving electrical demon, Umah manages to free Scarlet from her constraints and removes the covers off of her head. And once Scarlet was able to see again, she turns to face Umah with shock, causing her to crawl backwards away from the pregnant vampire.

"No, get away from me!" Scarlet shouted as Umah looked upon her with a worried, reassuring face. "I don't wanna die!" she screamed, causing the pregnant vampire to approach the frightened vixen in comparison to her own expression.

"Scarlet, take it easy!" Umah exclaimed in a worried tone as the vixen child continues to look at her with shock. "There's no need to be afraid… I'm not gonna hurt you", she reassured, causing Scarlet to soften her expression slightly, although she was still in a state of shock.

"How… how did you know my name", Scarlet asked curiously, but still in a shocked state as Umah turns her head towards her left slightly. But despite Scarlet's shocked state, she began to look upon Umah's markings on her face… with some sort of familiarity within her.

"I wish I could explain everything to you…" Umah said, turning to face the vulpin child once more. "But that is a story for another time. Right now, I have to get you out of Dark Eden before Nexus turns his sights on us", she claimed, offering her hand to the vixen child. And after a moment of brief hesitation, Scarlet takes her hand and climbs on top of her just as Janos and Vorador manage to slay the final demon before turning to face the two.

"Umah, we have slain the remainder of Nexus' demons. And what makes of the girl, is she alright", Vorador asked as Scarlet buries her face into Umah's right shoulder.

"Scarlet's alright, but she's in shock", Umah answered. "But we must teleport towards Sanctuary before some of the other demons form a barrier around us".

"Vorador, we cannot teleport there since Meridian is in flames", Janos spoke. "You, Johnny, and Umah must teleport to Stahlberg and take refuge inside the home of Alexia's Parents".

"But what about you, sire? You're not intending to remain here and continuing battling against the demons, are you", Vorador asked while slightly cocking a brow towards his sire.

"It seems I do not have any other option", Janos claimed. "I need you to 'Whisper' Alexia and let her know you, her husband, and Umah are arriving to her Parent's place", he ordered, causing the green vampire to nod in response and close his eyes, focusing his mind onto Alexia's by means of getting into contact with her.

*Inside Alexia's Parent's home, Stahlberg*

Anxiousness and silence fills the air and Alexia continues to walk about the living room. Her parents could merely watch her as they continue to keep an eye out for any other demons that try to attack their home. But despite all that's happening around them, Alexia began to hear something faint within her mind. Thus, she closes her mind and begins to focus upon the voice that's speaking within her mind.

"Alexia, this is Vorador speaking. Are you inside your Parent's home at this moment", Vorador asked with Alexia's mind, causing her eyes to shoot open with recognition.

"Yes… I am", Alexia answered within the 'Whisper'. "But what about my husband… is he alright?" she asked calmly, but worryingly at the same time.

"Yes, he is fine", Vorador replied within the woman's mind. "However, your husband has managed to save Scarlet from her execution and Umah has freed her from her constraints".

"Thank goodness…" Alexia thought. "How's Scarlet doing", she asked within the 'Whisper'.

"Although she is alive and freed from her imprisonment… it looks like she suffered a harsh injury in the face since she has a bruise on her right cheek", Vorador answered within her mind, causing the human woman to gasp in shock and cover her mouth as a result. "However, I'm about to teleport your husband, Umah, Scarlet, and myself towards your refuge. I will see you shortly", he said, dismissing the 'Whisper' from the woman's mind as Alexia began looking towards her parents located right across from where her son was sitting.

"Mom, Dad, we're about to have company in a few moments", Alexia spoke, grabbing the attention of her parents.

"Who else is coming at this time", Alexia's father asked just as Vorador, Umah, Johnny, and Scarlet arrive within the heart of the living room itself, sending shockwaves to Alexia's parents as a response. "My god, what are you guys doing here? What the hell's happening outside?" he asked in a shocked tone.

"Unfortunately, Richard, one of Infernum's lieutenants, Nexus, started striking Nosgoth earlier today", Vorador answered before turning to face the vulpin child that is standing behind Umah and holding onto her right arm. "And just a few moments ago, we've rescued a hostage by the name of Scarlet from her sacrificial execution, who is standing right behind Umah", he continued, pointing towards the vixen child.

"As for the others, they remain at Dark Eden and continue to fight against Nexus and his demonic armies as we speak", Umah explained, looking down upon Scarlet and rubbing her head, providing some sort of solace to the distraught vixen child. "And as long as they continue to battle against the demonic legions with powerful effort and will, I know they will succeed in defeating Nexus and end his terrible reign", she continued, heading for the empty sofa and sitting upon the middle cushion, with Scarlet sitting next to her on the right cushion.

"Excuse me… Mrs. Umah… and Johnny… thank you for saving me", Scarlet spoke softly, holding onto Umah's right arms as Alexia notices the bruise on her cheek and softly gasps in shock.

"Oh my god… Scarlet, what happened to your face", Alexia asked, approaching the vixen child and kneeling as Scarlet slightly buries her face into Umah's arm.

"Nexus slapped me with the back of his hand-paw after I spat on that filthy felin", Scarlet answered while growling and tightening her grip on Umah's arm, although she was careful at doing so due to the female vampire's pregnancy. But despite her being careful, Umah grunts in pain and looks at the vixen child with calm, but serious eyes.

"Scarlet, easy", Umah spoke softly, but somewhat firmly enough to cause the vixen child to loosen her grip. Then Scarlet looks towards Umah in the eyes as the pregnant vampire began rubbing her head gently and comfortingly. "Look, sweetie, why don't you go with Alexia and she could tend to your injury okay", she calmly spoke while softly smiling upon her. Although Scarlet was strangely reluctant to leave her side, she softly smiles in return and follows Alexia to the bathroom, where the medical supplies were kept.

"I guess this is the first time you saw Scarlet's hatred for felins, haven't you", Johnny asked calmly, causing the pregnant vampire to look upon him in response.

"Yes", Umah answered. "My husband told me about it once… but this is the first time I've witnessed a thing for myself", she continued while beginning to look down upon herself. "And the only sad thing about all of this is that she won't know that I'm actually her sister-in-law… bearing her brother's child", she thought with slight sadness while placing both hands over her womb and looking at the direction in which Dark Eden lies. "Travas… please defeat Nexus and come home safely", the female vampire continued thinking, holding onto her womb in which her child is safely kept in. All she could do now was remain within the refuge and watch over her unborn child, hoping that her husband would defeat the demon and return home safe and sound.

A/N:

Well, looks like Raziel's questions are answered along with Umah becoming pregnant (with both her and Travas getting married just a couple of months after the deed). But just about seven months after the wedding, a new demon named Nexus attacks the land of Nosgoth, starting with meridian. However, it appears he has a hostage with him, causing the vampires to take notice moments after entering Nosgoth's capitol. But at the moment Nexus removes the bag containing the hostage, Umah looks at the prisoner with shock and recognition (Who was none other than Travas' younger sibling and her sister-in-law, Scarlet). And at the moment Umah husband's found out, Travas takes it rather hard, which was right at the point where he goes numb. Although he's managed to acquire help from Johnny (Along with the other vampires and Raziel) and free Scarlet (Without her noticing Travas), what is the vampuric vulpin to do about the demon? How did Scarlet get kidnapped in the first place? And what happened to her parents? Find out in the next installment of 'Legacy of Travas'.
