Travas Starfox, the older brother of future Solarfox/Extinctioners members Scarlet and Erica, has been given a second chance thanks to Nosgoth's Legendary vampire, Janos Audron. His new life, however, hasn't been easy on him, ranging from enemy encounters to visions of the future. Will he be able to live his new life and create a new legacy, or will the dangers get the best of him?

Chapter 30: Farewell my Beloved

The sky is as red as blood itself, and fires continue to burn throughout the Western Industrialized Kingdom. Inside the burning city, demonic legions continue to battle against the intruders that now bestow upon Dark Eden. Interesting enough, one of those intruders happens to be a familiar vulpin that assassinated Infernum and continues to fight against Nexus… Travas Starfox. And in the skies above the city, both Nexus and Travas continue their deadly battle as they progress to take the match at higher levels than they had expected.

"Travas…! I've waited a long time to take the chance to avenge my fallen master, Infernum, the one in which you wrought the murderous deed to", Nexus claimed, powering up an electrical energy based attack in his hand-paws.

"And it seems that same hand will be your undoing, Nexus", Travas replied, tightening his grip upon the Soul Reaver heft and looking towards the feline demon with serious, confident eyes.

"I guess we'll just have to see about that, vampire", Nexus shouted, now flying towards the vulpin as Travas began flying towards the feline demon with haste. And before they knew it, the two opposing forces began striking upon each other with such impact, creating shockwaves that cause the entire city to shake violently.

As a result of their attacks, some of the surrounding buildings began to topple, causing the local demons to scatter around the area to hide at some place safe. Yet while Nexus and Travas continue to battle in the skies, Raziel and Janos fight against the other demons on the ground level. But despite their efforts, the demonic army continues to rise in numbers as the duo continues to slay one after another.

"Damnit…! Janos, how many of these damned demons are we having to brawl?!" Raziel cursed, using his wraith blade to fight against the demonic legions.

"I do not know, Raziel", Janos answered. "But we must fend off as many as we can while Travas is battling Nexus. Besides, I do not intend on having them interfere with our companion's battle", he continued, using his claws and magic to slaughter the demonic swarms that continue to approach the duo. However, one of the electrical demons nearby suddenly fires multiple electrical bolts of lightning towards the vulpin. Fortunately though, he manages to spot the attack before it hit him and deflects it towards the tower, blowing a hole just above the altar doors. And almost immediately, Travas flies towards the demon at a phenomenal speed and uses his left hand-paw to pierce right through its chest.

"Hey, hasn't someone taught you to stay out of other people's affairs?!" Travas asked as he grabs the electrical demon's still pounding heart. "Because it's really nerve racking when someone pulls that kinda shit on me", he continued, pulling the demons heart out of its chest, causing blood to burst hastily out of the wound like a fire hose and getting some on the floor as well as on the vulpin's face and torso. Then he turns to face Raziel, who nods towards the vulpin respectfully as Travas nods in return before teleporting towards Nexus. "Now then, where were we, Nexus?"

"Here, vampire", Nexus replied, firing the electrical energy bolts towards the vampuric vulpin. But like before with the electrical demon, Travas deflects the attack with his bloody left hand-paw and hurls it towards the Tower. This time, the electrical bolts of lightning destroy the top part of the Tower, causing it to topple towards the floor where the altar was. This act enrages the feline demon so much that he teleports towards the vulpin and strikes a punch on his opponent's face. But before his fist made contact, Travas catches the demon's arm by grabbing his wrist and fiercely knee-kicks him on his stomach.

"I bet that hurts like hell, doesn't it", Travas spoke with seriousness in his tone before growing at him moments later as Nexus looks at him dead in the eye. "Especially after you KIDNAPPED MY SISTER AND TRIED TO SACRIFICE HER TO BRING INFERNUM BACK", he shouted loudly, pulling him up by his neck and throwing a ferocious punch onto the feline demon's face, causing him to black out for a brief moment. The next thing Nexus knew, he found himself on the ground some two-hundred-fifty meters away from Travas' position. And just as the demon was trying to get back onto his feet-paws, the vulpin hastily flies towards him and prepares the sword for the final blow. But before the blade could even touch the demon, Nexus catches the blade effortlessly and looks upon the wielder with a smirk on his face.

"Did you really think I would easily be defeated by just a few simple attacks", Nexus asked, smirking upon the vulpin as Travas looked upon him with serious, widened, and unsurprised eyes. "Well think again", he continued, forming an electrical energy blast in the palm of his right hand-paw. Before Travas knew it, he was blown towards the damaged tower and crashes against it, causing the remainder of it to collapse on top of the vampuric vulpin. As a result, Raziel and Janos turn their sights upon the fallen Tower and sprint towards it hastily.

"Travas, hold on!" Janos shouted as he and Raziel began using their telekinetic abilities to remove as many boulders as they could. But then they were interrupted when the demonic army began attacking them from the short distance.

"Janos, you get Travas out of this rumble! I'll take care of these bastards", Raziel exclaimed, re-summoning the wraith blade on his right arms and sprinting towards the demonic army ahead as one of the red fiery demons began chuckling upon recognition of who he was.

"Well, now, if it isn't Nosgoth's wretched little 'savior', Raziel", the red fiery demon spoke mockingly. "Do you really think you can stop Nexus from resurrecting Infernum and resume their crusade our master had started several months ago?"

"I do not know of this crusade you speak of", Raziel claimed. "But I do know my eyes are open to your true intentions, and I will do whatever I can to stop you and your companions from progressing any further".

"I honestly doubt that… but if you so wish to try, then be my guest and show us what you're truly made of", the red fiery demon declared.

"Very well, but I promise you that this fight will be your last", Raziel claimed as he now started sprinting towards the demonic legions up ahead. All the blue skinned bony demon could do now was slaughter as many of the approaching demons as he could, hoping to buy some time for the winged vampire to free the vampuric vulpin from the rubble that continues to crush him endlessly.

*Within Alexia's Parent's home, Stahlberg*

Despite the madness that continues to rage on at Dark Eden, Alexia and the other survivors continue to take refuge inside her parents' home. Her parents continue to keep a lookout for any other demons from the living room while Vorador and the other vampires keep watch from the kitchen. As for Alexia, she's tending to Scarlet's injury in the bathroom, upon which the vixen child has unfortunately obtained after being struck on the face by Nexus himself. Alexia places some medical elixir on a heated rag and turns to face the vulpin child, who was sitting on a wooden chair with a red cushion on the seat to provide comfort.

"Scarlet, let me see your injury", Alexia asked, causing the vixen child to turn her head towards the left. "It might sting a bit… but trust me, it'll heal your wound a lot quicker than any normal ointment would", she continued, placing the medical elixir soaked rag gently onto the vulpin child's right cheek, causing her to hiss in pain as a response.

"Ow", Scarlet yelped.

"I know it stings… but I need you to hold this on your cheek", Alexia spoke while placing the medical supplies on the shelf. But before she could speak to Scarlet again, she began to hear knocking on the door and turned to face it. "Who is it?"

"It's Umah", Umah answered from behind the door. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes, I just finished treating Scarlet's wound", Alexia replied as Umah opens the door and enters, seeing Scarlet's treated injury before turning to face the human mother.

"That's good to know", Umah said, turning to face the young vixen child once again. "Scarlet, how do you feel?"

"It strings a little… but I starting to feel much better, miss", Scarlet answered. But before she could utter another word, Alexia places her right hand on the vixen child's left shoulder, causing Scarlet to look at her curiously.

"Scarlet, how did you end up here in Nosgoth with Nexus", Alexia asked as Scarlet turns away from her, looking down upon herself in a saddened, but angered expression. "What happened…?" she asked, causing Scarlet to look back towards the human mother, almost as if she was ready to fight someone. Before speaking a single word, she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, clearing her mind and calming down just enough to answer Alexia's question.

"It was that felin…" Scarlet started as she places her left hand-paw on her thigh just above her knee. "But this whole mess started after we got home from eating lunch at a diner in Veron Opus…" she explained, tightening her grip on her thigh as her lip began to quiver. Then, she shuts her eyes as a familiar event from earlier that day began to play within her mind.

*Flashback*

After having a good lunch at a Diner in Veron Opus, the Starfox family drives back towards their home within the metallic, suburban parts of Alopex. Upon arrival and entering their home, the kits ran for the den as their parents sat near the dining room table. At the same time, Travas Sr. sets down a couple of fliers on the table they've obtained while eating lunch at the diner. And, with interest forming into their minds, they read the fliers thoroughly and look upon each other with satisfaction.

"This is great! We might actually be able to get the girls guitar lessons during the summer", Victoria spoke while hugging her beloved mate excitingly. But despite her excited behavior, she removed her arms that held her husband and sat next to her beloved general.

"I couldn't agree with you more", Travas Sr. agreed. "I'm glad we could find a summer activity for the kits while we're working", he continued while sighing in relief. But behind the den door, Scarlet smiled eagerly as she towards her younger sibling, causing Erica to look towards her elder sister curiously.

"Erica, guess what!" Scarlet exclaimed.

"What is it, Scarlet", Erica asked curiously, but with a slight hint of eagerness in her tone.

"Mother and Father might be signing us up for guitar classes during the summer", Scarlet answered as she and her sister shut the door and began jumping and softly screaming with excitement. Then they re-open the door to see their father sigh in relief. But then, they heard a knock on the door nearby, causing their father to turn and face the door curiously.

"I wonder who that could be…" Scarlet wondered… looking upon her parents as Victoria turned to face her mate.

"Travas, hon, could you go see who that is", Victoria asked as she got out of her chair and began walking towards the den, upon which was where their kits were playing in.

"No problem, hon. I'll be right back", Travas Sr. answered while getting out of his chair and began walking towards the front door. But about halfway there, the being outside began banging on the door, causing the general to stop on his tracks and become annoyed by the person's impatience. "Hold on a minute! I'm coming", he yelled, rather in an annoyed tone, as he continued on walking towards the front door. This caused both kits to walk out of the den and towards the kitchen, watching their father walk towards the door in an annoyed gesture.

"I don't know why… but I've got a bad feeling about this", Scarlet thought, turning her curious eyes into calmly angered ones while eying the door with suspicion. But when Travas Sr. gets to the door, and before he places his hand-paw on the doorknob, he turns to see his mate, concerned regarding the sudden banging on the door.

"Hon… is something wrong", Victoria asked, looking upon her husband.

"Everything's fine, hon. But I do recommend keeping an eye on the kits just in case", Travas Sr. Suggested before turning back to face the door, leaning towards the peephole in order to see who it was waiting outside.

"Scarlet, Erica, I need you to go to your rooms and lock your bedroom doors, now", Victoria ordered as Travas places his right hand-paw upon the doorknob.

As Erica makes it to the top of the stairs, Scarlet turns briefly to see her father turn the knob slowly until he couldn't turn it any farther. She then ran towards upstairs as her father began opening it slowly, seeing Erica already making it into her room. At the moment her sister shuts and locks the door, she suddenly turns to face the front door downstairs as it was violently kicked open. Then, she began to growl angrily as a black and white furred felin enters their home, but then changes it into a more confused base one when she notices bat-like wings on his back.

"So this must be the family whose blood is similar to the one that murdered my master, Infernum", the feline being assumed, looking upon the frightened mother as Travas Sr. stood back up onto his feet-paws.

"And who the kenal are you?!" Travas Sr. asked with an annoyed tone, causing the unexpected visitor to look upon the general with his blood red eyes.

"I am Nexus, one of the late Infernum's lieutenants and co-rulers of the land of Dark Eden", Nexus answered. "And I believe I have seen you from somewhere before, you old man…" he claimed while examining him closely until the general's features became distinct enough for him to recognize. "Ah, yes, I remember now… you were the one that slept with Adrian's younger sister, Fiona Downing some nine months ago", he claimed, causing the general's eyes to widen in shock. But this act also caused Victoria to look upon her mate with widened eyes as well, but he merely shook his head in response, claiming he didn't do it.

"What are you talking about? I would never commit an act like that!" Travas Sr. claimed as the feline being began chuckling in response.

"Really now", Nexus asked doubtfully, cocking a brow towards the angered general as he began growling angrily towards the feline being.

"URGH… what the kenal do you want from us?!" Travas Sr. yelled as his eldest daughter hides behind the wall next to the stairs, but leans her head towards the wall to listen to their conversation closely.

"All I want is the blood of the one who assassinated my master!" Nexus yelled. "But since he is not available at this very hour, it seems I have no choice but to use the blood of one of your own kin to do the job", he continued, sending waves of confusion to both Victoria, who's standing behind her mate, and Scarlet, who's hiding upstairs. But before Victoria could speak, Travas Sr. turned his head towards her and looked upon his wife with serious eyes.

"Victoria, I need to get the kits someplace safe and now", Travas Sr. ordered as Victoria nodded in response. But when she tried to head out of the kitchen, she felt a pull on her body and was suddenly thrown back from the back kitchen exit towards the living room, crashing upon the cabinet violently. "VICTORIA", he screamed, running towards his wife as Nexus uses his telekinetic abilities to pull him back. But when he got close to Nexus, he viciously punches the feline being in the face, knocking him back a bit as the general himself crashes onto the dining room table.

"You realize I can kill you two without even laying the slightest finger to do the job", Nexus claimed, approaching the two injured parents with an evil looking smirk on his face. "All I require from you two is the blood of one of your kin and I shall be on my way. It's that simple, and no further harm will be done", he continued. But upstairs, Scarlet became frightened by Nexus' request and instantly runs towards her room. And when she shuts and locks the door, Nexus turns his sights towards the upstairs floors and begins walking towards it with slight haste. However, Travas Sr. manages to get back onto his feet-paws and instantly runs towards the bat-winged feline.

"YOU STAY AWAY FROM OUR KITS, YOU BASTARD", Travas Sr. shouted, grabbing the feline being's attention as the general was about to strike him. However, Nexus summons forth two electrical balls of energy on the palms of his hand-paws, aiming them towards the general.

"You shall not interfere with my work, you wretched little prick", Nexus yelled as he fired multiple bolts of lightning towards the general, knocking him onto the ground as he began screaming in agony. He also uses the bolts of lightning as puppet strings, moving his own arms around to give movement to his victim. After a few moments, he crosses his arms in front of him in an 'X' motion and pulls them apart; causing the general to violently rotate around the side at a three-hundred-sixty degree angle, with some of his blood splattering onto the carpet. Finally, the general loses consciousness as a result of the attack as Victoria looks upon her unconscious husband in shock and horror. As a response, Victoria turns her sight to the feline being and growls upon him with anger and hatred in her eyes.

"NEXUS, YOU LEAVE MY MATE ALONE AND STAY AWAY FROM MY KITS", Victoria screamed while getting back onto her feet-paws. But before she could sprint towards the being, Nexus quickly summons two electrical spheres and fires bolts of lightning towards the motherly vixen, knocking her onto the ground. He uses the same 'X' arm gesture and pulls them apart, causing her to violently rotate in a similar fashion like her husband. Thus, she was knocked unconscious shortly after some of her own blood splatters onto the carpet as a result from her injuries. With the vulpin parents now lying on the floor unconscious, Nexus continues walking towards the upstairs hallway, search for either one of the kits hiding within their rooms.

Inside the first room, the eldest vixen child hides underneath the bed and covers herself with whatever she could find. But at the moment she started arranging some of the items under her bed, she hears the sound of her bedroom door being kicked open by the feline being. Nexus began to survey his surroundings while walking around Scarlet's room, seeing nothing but various posters, toys, and clothes scattered around the floor. All Scarlet could do now was cover her muzzle and wait for the being to leave, hoping that he doesn't find either her or her younger sister.

"Damnit… would you just go and leave us alone", Scarlet thought in a frightful, but angered tone while keeping her muzzle covered, preventing her from uttering a sound except for quiet breathing. So far, she was doing well in hiding from the feline being… until her tail moves some of the crumbled bits of paper about behind her. This in turn causes the vixen child to curse within her mind and Nexus to turn and face her bed.

"Gee, I wonder if there's a mouse hiding underneath the safety of the bed", Nexus evilly joked, using his telekinesis to lift the entire bed up about six feet into the air, thus revealing a terrified Scarlet hiding underneath. "Or better yet, a vixen", he continued as Scarlet screams and attempts to make a run for it. But her attempt fails as Nexus uses his telekinetic powers once again to pull the vulpin child towards him and releases the bed from his hold, shattering the bedframe into pieces as a result.

"OW! LET ME GO", Scarlet screamed as tears began to form in her eyes while trying to struggle and break free from Nexus' telekinetic hold on her.

"I'm afraid that I cannot do that, young lady", Nexus replied. "You're coming with me to Dark Eden whether you like it or not", he continued as he starts to summon forth a portal for him and his hostage to go through. "But first, I must make one stop at Meridian since I have some unfinished disputes I need to tend to", he thought while continuing to summon forth the portal. Unfortunately for him, however, the portal began to dissipate before it could finish. "What's this…? Why can I not properly summon the portal I need to complete my transfer", the feline being wondered, turning to face the vixen child as she looking upon him in a frightened manner. "Young girl, why can I not summon the portal I need to progress towards my destination?"

"I don't know or understand what you're trying to tell me, but let me go!" Scarlet shouted, continuing her struggle to break free despite them being in vain.

"Damn!" Nexus exclaimed within his mind, turning to face the bedroom exit. "Very well… do your parents keep a spare vehicle? And if so, where", he asked calmly, but demandingly. But when Scarlet refused to answer, he tightens his telekinetic grip onto her, practically to the point where she began to choke. "ANSWER ME AT ONCE, GOD DAMNIT", he shouted, causing her to choke back a sob as a response.

"It's in the garage downstairs", Scarlet hoarsely answered while choking back another sob. "Please, I don't wanna die", she continued, causing the feline being to growl angrily.

"Just shut up and start pointing towards the location already", Nexus demanded as Scarlet reluctantly and fearfully nods. In that moment, he walks out of the room with Scarlet in his telekinetic grasp, having the vulpin kit point towards the downstairs level. He walks downstairs as Scarlet points towards the left, turning to the designated direction and continues walking. Then finally, after walking past the kitchen, she points towards the second door on the left at the end of the hall, with Nexus grabbing the keys off of the hook next to the door. And alas, a midnight black colored dodge challenger hover car was revealed to them as Nexus spots a large sand-brown colored wool bag hanging on a hook next to the garage door.

At the moment he spots the bag, he, with the vixen child in his telekinetic grasp, walks towards it and grabs it off of the hook. He uses the bag by means of placing Scarlet inside, preventing her from trying to escape while tying the opening of the bag shut. Once he places the bag with Scarlet contained within inside the trunk, the feline being enters the car and inserts the car key into the ignition. Despite the noise he's hearing from the trunk caused by the vulpin child, he opens the garage door with a press of a button and drives out in reverse, spotting the Veron Opus Arena within the distance. With his sights set on the Arena, he drives towards it with great speed, eager to get back to Nosgoth and settle the dispute he had within Meridian.

*Present*

"After my family was attacked, I was kidnapped and taken to the Veron Opus Arena, where he performed some sort of magic trick that took us to a place called 'Meridian'", Scarlet explained with a calm, frightened tone. And soon enough, she found herself wrapping her arms around her legs, burying her face into her knees with sadness. "Then he took me to that horrible place… and he and his monsters almost tried to kill me…" she continued hoarsely to the point where she now began sobbing uncontrollably. Umah instantly walks towards the crying vulpin child and wrapped her arms comfortingly around Scarlet, causing the little vixen to wrap her arms around the pregnant vampire in return.

"It's alright, Scarlet", Umah softly spoke while patting the vixen child's head, causing her cries to softly lower over time. "You're in a safe place now… and we'll be able to bring you home soon", she continued softly while resting her head gently on top of Scarlet's. As Alexia watches Umah comfort Scarlet, Johnny knocks on the door and enters before the trio, with his son standing behind his left leg.

"Is everything alright", Johnny asked, looking at the trio as they turn to face them.

"Yes, and I just finished treating Scarlet's wound", Alexia answered, wrapping her arms around her vulpin husband. "How's everyone else?"

"Vorador, Doyle, and Celestia continue keeping watch from the kitchen while your parents and Aramantha are keeping watch from the living room", Johnny answered. "I'm about to make a quick drive towards the Pillars and see if I could get the ship into the sky. And if I'm able to get it into space, we could probably get Scarlet back home on Alopex before things here get worse".

"Johnny, are you sure about that while Nosgoth is almost in complete chaos", Alexia asked worryingly. "I'm scared something might happen to you while you're at the Pillars".

"I'm sure", Johnny answered before planting a gentle kiss on her lips. "Don't worry, hon, I'll be alright. I promise", he continued as Alexia looks into his sincere eyes and nods in response. Then he kneels down and looked towards his son while placing his hand-paws on his shoulders. "Dylan, can you watch over Umah, Scarlet, and your mother while I'm checking the ship", he asked as his son looks at the three females behind his father before looking back at him.

"Yes, Daddy", Dylan answered, hugging his father before walking towards the others. In that moment, Johnny begins running towards the front door downstairs, grabbing his keys and heading towards the Jeep outside. He quickly sprints for the vehicle and slides over the hood, allowing him to get to the driver's side and unlock the door. Almost immediately, he starts the ignition and begins to drive towards the Pillars with haste, hoping to avoid the demons at all cost and hopefully find a way to bring Scarlet home.

*Within the Western Industrialized Kingdom, Dark Eden*

Chaos and disorder continues to rule the streets and many buildings have become piles of rubble. But at the heart of the building, Janos continues to remove what remains of the fallen Tower off of the vampuric vulpin as Raziel continues to slay the demonic legions approaching them. But in the skies above, Nexus continues to summon forth energy while smirking evilly towards the two beings down below.

"This is becoming more exciting than I had imagined. Destroying both Travas and Nosgoth's oldest vampire, Janos Audron, from the same source", Nexus thought, looking down upon his demonic legions becoming to overtake the bony demon below. "Well, Travas… unless you have some sort of trick up your sleeve, it looks like it's the end of the road for you. How unfortunate for such talents must go to waste", he continued thinking, raising his arms up in the air while forming two electrical charged energy blasts that connected together through intensifying lightning bolts. Janos, however, spots the feline demon's attack and continues hastily with removing the pile of rubble off of the vulpin.

"Travas, you must awaken from your slumber", Janos thought as he manages to remove the remainder of the rubble, exposing the vulpin's unconscious, bloodied state. All the winged vampire could do now was kneel down and try to awaken him by whatever means necessary, whether it's by shaking him or moderately slapping his cheek. "Nexus is summoning an attack that may possibly end us all", he continued, gripping his shirt and shaking him back and forth. But alas, he did not awaken and Janos was forced to face Nexus by himself.

"Well, well, well… how unfortunate for you, Janos since Travas could not awaken from his unconsciousness state", Nexus spoke loudly, landing just within thirty feet from the winged vampire's position. "It's a shame, really. I thought that he would prove worthy of my skills… but it seems I discovered him to be no challenge at all" he claimed, aiming the two connected electrical energy spheres towards the winged vampire. "Now then, it is time that I finally disposed of you once and for all", the feline demon continued while smirking upon him evilly. All Janos could do now was look upon the feline demon with serious eyes, trying to remain calm despite the position he was in.

"Travas… you must awaken from your unconscious state right now… time is running out and I do not have enough energy to create a barrier to protect us both", Janos thought, looking at the unconscious vulpin briefly before turning to face the feline demon once again.

"Your time has run out, Janos", Nexus claimed, preparing to throw the two spheres towards Janos and his unconscious companion. "IT'S TIME FOR YOU BOTH TO PAY THE PRICE FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO MY MASTER", he shouted, firing the two deadly connected spheres towards Janos and the unconscious vulpin. But regardless of the low energy supply the winged vampire had, he summons forth as much energy as he could; perhaps more than what he had, in order to form a barrier around himself and that of Travas. Although it was completely formed, it could not withstand the explosive, electrifying impact of Nexus' attack, shattering it as Janos and Travas' body was blown some fifty meters away. They crash upon another building and destroy it entirely, but the winged vampire manages to remove the rubble off of him and Travas' bloodied, unconscious body.

"Oh no…" Janos softly spoke upon seeing Travas' worsening condition, leaning his back forward until his head almost touched the ground. But before he could smash his hands onto the ground, he notices Travas' body turn into energy and fly towards the right side of Nexus. At the same time, the winged vampire also notices the feline demon wasn't paying attention to the transformation Janos himself had just witnessed.

"Excellent", Nexus thought. "Although Janos managed to survive, I've at least managed to wipe Travas off of the board at last. Now I can continue on with my work and-" this was all the feline demon could think until he suddenly felt an index finger tap his right shoulder, causing him to turn to his right. And before he knew it, he suddenly blacks out for a brief moment, only to awaken some seven-hundred feet into the air. Before he was able to spot the one responsible for attacking him, the feline demon tilts his head upward to see Travas in the air, with his arms crossed, three feet directly in front of him.

"I assume you didn't expect that you'd destroy one of my own clones instead of the real deal", Travas asked while smirking. Down below, Janos could only stare at Travas flying above in disbelief, amazed upon the vulpin's capabilities.

"My god…" Janos thought. "Travas, I have to admit… you are one sly fox", he admitted within his mind, turning his surprised expression into a more confident one while smirking. "Go get him, Travas, and defeat Nexus once and for all".

"What… what trickery is this?!" Nexus asked in a shocked tone, but soon changed his expression into a more angered one. "I demand you to tell me what the hell is going on at once?!" he demanded, causing Travas to chuckle upon his request. But this began to infuriate the feline demon as he began growling in anger. "ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW, GOD DAMNIT?!"

"Just one of my favorite cloning techniques I managed to master a while back", Travas answered. "Now there is something I wish to ask you. Although I claimed to be the real deal, are you absolutely sure that the one you're talking to is the real Travas", he asked, sending the feline demon a web of confusion instead of answers he so desired.

"Wait, what do you mean", Nexus asked until another figure suddenly struck his back from above, knocking him down and crashing onto the cement roads below. The demon manages to recover within a few seconds notice, but as he did, he looked upon his attacker and notices yet another clone of 'Travas' next to the supposedly real one. "What the hell is going on here… how is he performing such a trick?!" he wondered within his mind, looking at the replica of Travas next to the supposedly real one.

"Neat trick, huh", Travas asked while smirking in delight.

"Why not fight one Travas when you can fight two", the clone spoke as he and his identical companion to begin chuckling upon the feline demon below. But down below, Nexus merely looked upon the two with widening eyes, annoyance, and anger.

"What kind of game do you think you're playing here?!" Nexus shouted, watching them in the skies laughing down upon him. "You think this is fucking funny?! HUH", he asked angrily, eying the duo while clenching his fists almost to the point they were about to bleed. With his mind set on killing the vulpin, whether it was real or not, he instantly flies towards the duo with haste. But about halfway there, he was suddenly met with a fierce kick on his side and was thrown towards a skyscraper nearly four-hundred meters away, crashing upon it within a few seconds later. But when he recovers, he discovers that it was yet another clone that struck him by surprise.

"Hello", the second clone jokingly greeted, waving his right hand-paw at the angered feline demon. "I guess you didn't expect to see a second clone coming to his master's aid", he assumed as the feline demon began growling angrily, showing that he's almost at the breaking point.

"THAT'S IT! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR DAMN JOKES, TRAVAS", Nexus shouted, pointing his index claw to the supposedly real Travas. "NOW COME AND FACE ME AT ONCE BEFORE I-" the feline demon tried to peak until he was suddenly hit in the groin by some unexpected force, causing him to lose air for a moment and fall backwards onto the cement. But when he leans back upward, he notices that a third clone of Travas rising from the now destroyed cement ground. "What in the… how did-"

"Guess you weren't aware that digging is one of the things we foxes do best", the third clone claimed, chuckling and smiling jokingly at the feline demon. "And there is one tip I should give you. I think it would be recommended for you to wear a metallic crotch piece just to keep your nuts in tact", he joked, infuriating the feline demon as the clone began to laugh hysterically. He couldn't have felt more humiliated in his life, so much so that Nexus' face literally became red as a result. But regardless of his embarrassment, he summons two electrical blades from his hands and immediately jumps into the air, setting his sights on the third clone nearly one-hundred feet below.

"I don't know what trick you're trying to pull here, Travas, but THIS ENDS NOW", Nexus shouted, flying towards the third clone down below. But before he could get to him, he stops as the clone dissolves into energy and flies towards Travas and the other two clones hastily, healing Travas of his injuries and revitalizing the other two clones.

While the vampuric vulpin and the clones were being healed, Nexus notices where most of the energy returned to, thus knowing who the real Travas was. And as a result of his discovery, he hastily flies towards the vulpin trio, with his electrical blades ready for the kill. Suddenly, however, the two clones teleport in front of him and land a series of vicious punches upon the feline demon knocking him towards the place where Raziel was fighting the demonic legions at.

"What in the hell", Raziel shouted, moving out of the way before Nexus crashed upon the cement ground several yards away from the bony demon's location. But what sent him waves of confusion through his mind was that he saw not only one, but two versions of Travas fighting against Nexus. "Hold on… I may be aware of what he is capable of doing… but since when was Travas able to summon multiple copies of himself", he thought while staring at the ongoing battle between the two clones and Nexus himself.

As the battle continues on, Nexus keeps doing whatever he can to stop the clones from damaging him any further than he already was. But regardless of his efforts, the clones continue to pound him mercilessly until he was suddenly hurled towards another building some twenty meters away, crashing upon it with sheer force. Just after the building crumbles on top of the feline demon, the two clones began powering up energy blasts within the palms of their hand-paws. And within a matter of moments, the two fire their blast towards the toppled building imprisoning Nexus within, creating a sudden explosion that was almost as bright as the sun itself. When the light fades, smoke began to overtake the area as the two clones cease their attacks and wait eagerly for the smoke to dissipate.

"Well… it looks like we might've defeated Nexus at last", the first clone said, looking upon the smoky area in which the building had toppled upon Nexus. But as it began to subside, the clones could merely see the arm of the feline demon while the rest of his body was trapped within the pile of rubble. Thus, they smirk towards the sight of Nexus' defeated, unconscious state. But that began to change when they notice the demon's hand-paw moving about, turning their victorious faces into confused, calmly-shocked ones. And once Nexus powers up and destroys the pile of rubble with one strong sphere blast, that's when their shock level increases dramatically, looking at the feline demon with widened, shocked, perhaps horrified eyes.

"Did you really think you could easily defeat me with a few blasts and having a building topple on my body", Nexus asked evilly while chuckling. "Oh no… I still have plenty of power within my body at levels that neither one of you nor the real Travas could fathom", he claimed, glaring upon the two clones with his blood red eyes. But in the skies above, Travas merely looks upon the feline demon while cocking a brow with suspicion and confusion.

"Wait… what is he talking about? I can sense his energy beginning to deplete almost at a sharp rate", Travas thought, continuing to eye the feline demon with suspicion and confusion. That soon began to change when the feline demon began yelling while summoning forth energy from his bloodied body, causing the vulpin and the clones to look upon him with calm shock. "What… what the hell?" he thought as a few drops of sweat began to drop from the right side of his face. "This guy's no joke…! How much energy does this demon have left in him" the vulpin asked, looking upon Nexus with steadily growing shock.

As Travas and his two clones continue to watch, Nexus continues to power up energy at a rate they never knew possible. Suddenly, the feline demon becomes engulfed in a bright white-blue colored electrical aura, with his own wounds beginning to heal. Although Nexus brightened the Western Industrial Kingdom with his power, that wasn't what caught the attention of both Travas and his clones. What caught their attention was the sudden metamorphous the feline demon was going through, seeing the demon's appearance slowly beginning to change, particularly on his face and wings. And not too far from their location, Janos and Raziel watch the entire event with shock that was so overwhelming, they could barely keep calm.

"My god…!" Janos exclaimed. "How is he able to summon so much energy in such a short period of time?"

"This is madness", Raziel also exclaimed. "I haven't the slightest clue we would face something horrific such as this", he continued, watching the demon continuing on with his metamorphous.

With the transformation going on, the feline demon began to grow in size, nearly becoming about twenty feet tall and his muscles becoming nearly one and a half times bulkier than they once were. His face starts to become more skeletal than it once was, with his fangs growing sharper, eyeballs becoming black, and retaining his blood red pupils while giving them a glow. Like his face, Nexus' wings began to transform into a more bony structure while retaining the wing tissue attached to the wing joints. And within a matter of a few moments, the electrical aura shoots off a bright light that engulfs the entire kingdom, stagnating about ten seconds later with an electrical barrier forming in the skies. Then alas, the newly transformed Nexus tilts his head upward and looks upon Travas and his two clones, smirking evilly while the vulpin group looks at him with shock.

"Why you're trembling, Travas", Nexus spoke with sarcasm and surprise in his voice. "Has your confidence and courage abandoned you? Well it seems you have made a fatal and unfortunate error in assuming how far my capabilities can go", he continued as Travas could do nothing but stare at the feline demon with almost unimaginable shock.

"Oh my god… I never felt anyone's energy level having an intensity as high as this", Travas thought, eying Nexus' newly transformed body with shock and perhaps slight horror. And in that moment, he tilts his head upwards to see the electrical barrier that blocks the skies above. "I don't know exactly what he just did… but I have to do something about this before this gets out of hand", he continued, eying the newly formed electrical barrier for a few more seconds before turning to face the demon once again. Then out of instinct, the two clones began flying towards the transformed demon with haste while preparing energy blasts on their hand-paws. But before they could open fire against the feline demon, Nexus suddenly uses his teleportation technique to disappear from the area, causing the clones to stop dead on their tracks.

"What the hell?!" the first clone exclaimed. "Where did he go", he continued, surveying his surroundings in search for the demon. But unknown to him, the demon teleports behind the clone as the second one suddenly spots him.

"BEHIND YOU", the second clone exclaimed, causing the first one to turn and face the feline demon as Nexus fires an energy blast towards him.

Regardless of the first clone's attempts to block the attack, it immediately overwhelms and engulfs him entirely. Thus, the first clone turns back into energy, distributing itself and returning to both Travas and the second clone, giving the two a bit more power than they had before. As a response to the slight energy gain, the vulpin and his second clone fly towards Nexus with haste, with Travas preparing to strike at the demon with the Reaver while the second clone prepares two bright blue colored energy blades on both of his hand-paws. However, the feline demon instantly teleports towards them both and land a series of fierce punches upon the two vulpin fighters before they were given the chance to throw their energy blast towards him. And soon enough, the second and final clone was knocked to the pile of rubble below and instantly dissipates into energy, sending it back to Travas and powering him up only slightly.

"Damn…! How the hell was he able to generate so much energy within a short period of time", Travas thought, looking upon the feline demon while getting into battle position. "On top of that, what the hell did he do to the sky during his transformation", he wondered, looking upon the electrical skies briefly before turning to face Nexus.

"Curious about the skies, are you not", Nexus asked evilly, noticing the vulpin looking at the electrical skies above before he tilts his head down to face him. "Well, to answer that, I've managed to form a barrier around Nosgoth's skies to prevent anyone from escaping the land, whether it's by teleporting to another world or by some other means", he explained, getting back into battle position with haste. "And the only way to dispel the barrier is to obliterate me in battle… however, with my newfound powers revealed to you; I can promise you that you won't be able to defeat me in battle. Thus the barrier will continue to shield the skies above, preventing Nosgoth's people from escaping the land and imprisoning them within the land for all eternity", the demon continued, eying the vampuric vulpin with eagerness flowing within his mind. "Now then, let us commence in battle at once! I grow tired of waiting to shed the blood of the one that murdered Infernum".

"I doubt you would be able to kill me, you bastard!" Travas replied, tightening the grip of the Soul Reaver heft in his right hand-paw while flying towards the newly transformed Nexus.

At the moment he tries to strike the feline demon, Nexus effortlessly jumps into the air while using his skeletal wings to hold him up. He begins summoning forth a powerful attack, upon which dark clouds begin covering the blood red skies of Dark Eden. An electrical spark-like light blue aura also began to engulf the demon as the magnitude of the attack increases dramatically, causing earthquakes to happen as a result. All over the city, Janos, Travas, and Raziel look towards Nexus with shock while most of the surviving demonic legions began to scatter all over the kingdom, hoping to find a safe place to hide from the forthcoming attack. Then, within a few minutes, the quakes began to subside as the feline demon looks down upon Travas with a smirk on his face while chuckling softly.

"It's the calm before the storm, Travas", Nexus claimed. "Just like the calm before the real battle commences", he continued as the electrical aura that engulfed his entire body starts to move all the way to engulf his hand-paws. Then as he was chuckling, he raises his hand-paws in the air as high as he could. "And now that the storm is at its peak, it is time for the REAL BATTLE TO BEGIN", the feline demon shouted, throwing his hand-paws down as bolts of lightning began firing at various directions, including the area where Travas was. Down below, Raziel and Janos continued to slaughter the remaining demonic legions while avoiding Nexus' storm-based attack.

"What in the hell", Raziel exclaimed. "It looks like Nexus has outdone himself this time. And if events continue to go through like this, we may not be able to get out of this whole charade alive", he continued while fighting off the demons as best as he could. Ironically, however, the storm rather became convenient for them both as many of the bolts struck the majority of Nexus' loyal demonic legions.

"Unfortunately yes, and I can sense this might be one of Nexus' strongest attacks. But at least the storm is obliterating most of the demonic legions for us", Janos replied, fighting off against the demons that were nearby.

In the skies above, Travas continues to dodge the bolts of lightning as best as he could despite all that went on. However, the bolts themselves were coming at him like endless gunfire from an assault rifle. And just like a bullet striking its target, the lightning bolt manages to strike Travas himself. But unlike any other lightning bolt, this one in particular encircles around the vulpin like a ring, trapping his arms on his torso through the constraints. And as any other electrical attack, this one began to electrically shock the vampuric vulpin so bad, that he begins screaming in agonizing pain while Nexus keeps him under his telekinetic hold.

"At long last, I've caught my prey", Nexus claimed, tightening his telekinetic hold on the vulpin as he began to scream louder in agonizing pain. With his prey caught within his grasp, Nexus uses this opportunity to take his sweet time to torture the notorious Travas, laughing upon his agonizing cries as the other demons below roar cheerfully before their master. "There's no escape for you this time, Travas. The sand in your hourglass has finally met the end of its course… and so is your energy as well", he continued as Travas' agonizing screams continued to get louder while his electrical constraints continue to tighten.

"Damnit… my energy is beginning to fade…" Travas thought while trying to break free from his constraints. "I have to get out before I die", he continued thinking as he suddenly let out an agonizing scream of pain. All he could do now was continue to try and break free from his constraints, hoping to free himself from Nexus' grip before he manages to kill him.

*Amongst the Pillars of Nosgoth*

While the battle continues to rage on within Dark Eden, Johnny continued to drive towards the pillars with haste. Although he manages to arrive at the ruined, decaying Pillars of Nosgoth, he notices something electrical covering the skies as he parks the Jeep behind the pillar of nature. Upon grabbing the keys out of the ignition, the gray vulpin presses the button that turns the invisibility cloak off and reveals the parked ship nearby. He then immediately runs into the ship and places the key into the ignition, starting the Jet and trying to fly it into towards the sky and into space. But when it touches the electrical skies above, the jet was immediately stopped and engulfed with a violent electrical aura, causing some of the systems to fry or malfunction in response.

"Shit", Johnny cursed, trying to regain control of the control systems. "Is Nexus responsible for forming the damn barrier", he thought while trying to get the systems properly operational once more

While he was trying to get the systems functional again, he notices the ship beginning to plummet towards one of the local forests near the Great Southern Lake. But luckily, he manages to regain enough control to where he could maneuver the ship, thus enabling him to park it on the shores. And once he presses the button for the landing gear, he manages to land smoothly upon the sandy shores despite the damage that was caused by the electrical barrier above. He opens the canopy and immediately jumps out of the cockpit, landing onto the sandy ground while examining his surroundings for any demons nearby.

"So far, I don't see any other demons around here, thank God", Johnny thought before turning to face the ship. "But I might wanna 'Whisper' Alexia about the skies along with the ship", he continued, closing his eyes and clearing his mind of all that was going on, thus focusing on the one person he needed to speak with the most.

*At the Refuge, Stahlberg*

Silence and anxious fills the air and many of the refugees continue to inhabit the home of Alexia's parents. Alexia's parents and the other vampires wait in the kitchen while Umah and Alexia sit on the couch in the living room. Scarlet continues to rest her head on Umah's left arm while Dylan continues to rest on his mother's right arm, trying to find comfort despite the havoc that was going on. But within a few moments, Alexia begins to sense a familiar presence within her mind. Thus, she closes her eyes and begins focusing on the essence that is trying to speak into her mind.

"Johnny… is that you", Alexia asked through the 'Whisper'.

"Yes, it's me… and I've got some bad news", Johnny replied within his wife's mind.

"What's wrong", Alexia asked worryingly within the 'Whisper'.

"I tried to go into outer space not too long ago, but it seems Nexus somehow managed to form some sort of electrical barrier in the sky", Johnny claimed inside Alexia's mind.

"Wait… you sure about this", Alexis asked curiously, walking towards the windows and looking upon the sky, seeing a blue electrical barrier Nexus had formed not too long ago. "My God… how long ago did you notice this?"

"I say roughly about five minutes ago", Johnny answered in Alexia's mind. "Another thing is that some of the controls got fried when I tried to go through the barrier".

"Wait, the ship's fried", Alexia exclaimed through the 'Whisper'.

"Miraculously, it was only some of the controls that were fried", Johnny claimed within Alexia's mind. "I'm about to get to work on the repairs. But I'm afraid Scarlet's stuck here until the controls are fixed and Nexus' barrier dissipates".

"That isn't good..." Alexia replied through the 'Whisper', turning to face Scarlet briefly before turning back to the sky outside. "Please hurry, Johnny… I've got a bad feeling about this".

"Don't worry, hon, I'm already working on it as we speak", Johnny said as Alexia could hear sounds of mechanical tools being used within her mind.

"Okay… please stay safe", Alexia replied in the 'Whisper', placing her right hand over her heart worryingly.

"I will, Alexia. I'll see you soon" Johnny spoke before disconnecting the 'Whisper' from Alexia's mind. But when she turns to face Umah and Scarlet, she noticed the pregnant vampire's widened eyes and heavily worried gesture. Thus, she walks towards Umah and sits next to her, placing her left hand on the pregnant vampire's right shoulder.

"Umah, what's wrong", Alexia asked softly, but worryingly.

"It's my husband…" Umah answered, getting Scarlet's attention as she spoke. "His energy is starting to deplete… and at a horrific rate"!

"What", Alexia exclaimed, and in that moment, she turned to the direction of Dark Eden, also sensing Travas energy level. "This isn't good… Travas' energy is depleting at an unimaginable rate. Something has to be done in order to save him… and fast", she thought. And within a moment, she turns to face Umah, who was now standing with her head slightly tilted down and her fists clenched tightly. "Umah…?"

"It looks like I'm the only one that can save him", Umah replied, tilting her head upward, revealing her determined, serious eyes for both Scarlet and Alexia to see. Then in that moment, with Scarlet still unsure of Umah's intentions, Alexia realizes what they are and looks upon Umah in shock.

"Umah, you're not planning on going to Dark Eden, are you" Alexia asked shockingly, looking towards the pregnant vampire with shocked, widened eyes.

"It seems I don't have a choice, my friend", Umah replied. "If I don't do something to save my husband, he's bound to die", she shouted softly, trying to breathe slowly to help calm herself down.

"Umah, I don't want you going back to Dark Eden and getting yourself killed! You have a child that's about to be born any day now, and I don't want anything to happen to the baby", Alexia spoke with emotions beginning to overwhelm her. "And I don't wanna loose one of the closest friends I've ever had…" she continued, closing her eyes and tilting her head down as tears slowly began to stream down her face. But she almost instantly tilts her head upward when she felt a hand being placed upon her left shoulder, seeing Umah calmly, but softly smiling towards her.

"Alexia, I know how much you care about me and my well-being… and I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me over the past four years", Umah spoke softly. "However, this is something that I must do in order to save my husband", she continued just before gently pulling her into a hug. "But I promise I will do whatever I can to save him… even if it means sacrificing my own life to preserve my husband's and my child's life", the pregnant vampire claimed while preparing to summon forth her teleportation energy. But before she was able to summon any energy, she feels a tug on her black denim jacket, causing her to turn and face a rather worried Scarlet.

"Umah, please don't go", Scarlet pleaded, tugging on Umah's denim jacket just before the pregnant vampire kneels and placed both of her hand on the vixen child's shoulders.

"Scarlet, I know you're also worried about me, despite us just meeting each other", Umah replied. "However, there is a favor I need to ask of you", she claimed.

"What is it", Scarlet asked curiously, but slightly saddened.

"I know these are troubling times for you right now, but I want you to look out for your family when you return to your home world. Can you do that for me, sweetie", Umah asked. But despite the young vixen's loss for words, she merely nods in response as Umah stands back onto her feet. "Excellent! I must get to Dark Eden right away…" she continued, looking towards Alexia's tear stained face. "Alexia, in case I do not come back alive, I want to thank you for the fond memories you've given me over the years. And regardless of the outcome of my life, I will know that everything's going to be alright", she claimed, preparing the energy she needed for her teleportation technique. And just when she acquires enough energy for the trip, Vorador enters the living room in which the trio was in, noticing Umah summoning energy for her teleportation technique.

"Umah, what's going on? What are you doing?" Vorador asked, looking upon Umah as she tilts her head upwards with a soft smile on her face.

"Thank you for everything, Vorador", Umah replied, raising her arms in the air as the light of her teleportation magic intensified, brightening the room to the point where it became blinding. And when the light dissipated, they saw that Umah was no longer in the room, or in the house for that matter. All Vorador could do now was look upon the spot she once stood, unknown to him of what her true intentions were.

"Can someone tell me what is going on? Why did Umah teleport elsewhere", Vorador asked slightly demandingly. Despite his demands, however, both Scarlet and Alexia were unsure of what to tell the veteran vampire regarding Umah's intentions. But before either one of them was able to speak forward, a sudden explosion was heard from within the entrance of the city, causing them to turn and face the direction it came from. "One of you could answer me another time. It seems we have some unexpected company", he continued, with he, Alexia, and the other vampires getting into battle position.

"Dylan, take Scarlet with you to the safe room underneath the house at once. I've gotta bad feeling that the whole town is about to go into chaos", Alexia ordered, causing Dylan to run towards Scarlet and lead her to the entrance of the underground safe room behind the staircase. All they could do now was merely wait patiently in the living room, prepared for whatever trouble may come upon them all.

*Within Dark Eden*

Within the depths of the Western Industrialized kingdom, Travas lays on the ground beaten, bloodied, and trapped by electrical constraints formed by Nexus himself. His arms, bound to his torso by three circular electrical constraints while his legs were bound by two. The surviving demonic legions, however small, manage to capture Janos and Raziel and continue to remain within their grasp. It was then that their leader, Nexus, approaches the constrained vulpin and crouches down until his behind was touching his heels, smirking at his opponent while chuckling in response.

"It seems the tide has turned against your favor, hasn't it, Travas", Nexus asked mockingly, watching the vampuric vulpin continue his attempts at breaking free from his constraints, but has shown to be too much for the constrained vulpin. "And you've already lost so much energy that you cannot even break out of the constraints I placed on you. In fact, you energy is slipping rather badly", the feline demon continued, standing back up onto his feet while Travas continued to try and break free from his electrical binds.

"Shit… I can hardly move my arms or legs", Travas thought as the electrical binds continue to drain the energy from his body. But as he continued trying to break free, Nexus began summoning another powerful attack within his hand-paws, causing an electrical aura to engulf his entire body outline. Within seconds, storms began to brew as another earthquake began to shake the entire city once again.

"At long last, the moment I have been waiting for so patiently has finally arrived", Nexus claimed as his energy signal began to intensify at a phenomenal rate. "Finally, the blood of the one that murdered my master shall be shed", he continued, raising his arms to the side as the electrical energy aura began to spark violently in his hand-paws. "You lose", the feline demon spoke softly, preparing to hurl the violent electrical energy attack towards the constrained vulpin.

"Damnit…! I can't get loose", Travas exclaimed within his mind, growling in anger upon not being able to do nothing. "I'm sorry, Umah… I failed you… and our unborn child", he continued thinking, turning his head towards the left and closing his eyes.

Despite his efforts in battling against the feline demon, all he could do now was lie there helplessly as Nexus prepares to launch the attack towards him. But instead of him feeling the pain, he hears another explosion that comes from Nexus' back. And when he sees the feline demon, the vulpin notices him trying to grab a hold of the spot he was struck at on his back. He then tilted his head towards the right to see his own wife… and the very person who stuck the explosive attack upon Nexus.

"You get the hell away from my husband, you son of a bitch!" Umah shouted, causing the transformed feline demon to turn and face his attacker.

"You…" Nexus growled, preparing to summon forth another set of electrical blasts in his hand-paws. But before he knew it, he was met with an unexpected, yet fierce punch in the face, knocking him back a bit as a result. In that instant, Umah uses her telekinesis to grab a hold on Travas and teleports to where Janos and Raziel were held captive. She manages to strike and kill the demons that held their two allies prisoner, freeing Janos and Raziel from their captors' grasp.

"Umah, what are you doing here? Why aren't you with the others at the refuge", Janos asked with seriousness in his tone while Umah was trying to break Travas' constraints.

"To save you two and my husband", Umah answered, managing to break her husband's upper restraints. "Besides, I have no intention on having our child become fatherless anytime soon", she continued as she manages to break the lower constraint. "Travas, how do you feel?" the pregnant vampire asked while leaning her husband upward a bit, thus causing him to turn and face her with a soft smile on his muzzle.

"Weary… but feeling better… thank you", Travas answered before shifting his smile towards a calmly serious one. "But you shouldn't have come back here. I don't want you or our unborn child's lives to be put at stake".

"I know… but I don't wanna lose you…" Umah replied, looking at her husband's emerald green eyes as he did with her silver-purple ones.

"Travas, Umah, we do not have time to discuss our concerns. Nexus is starting to recover from the attack you've made before teleporting towards us", Janos claimed, pointing towards the feline demon as he manages to get back onto his feet-paws.

"Then let us prepare for battle at once", Umah suggested as she gets into battle position while smirking towards Nexus in response. "Besides, my thirst is starting quench eagerly for a taste for Nexus' blood", she admitted, but then, Janos places his left hand onto her shoulder, causing the pregnant vampire to turn and face him curiously.

"I understand your eagerness to kill him, but I would like to ask for you to lend Raziel and I a helping hand with the last remaining demonic legion", Janos asked, causing her to nod in response despite her eagerness to slay the feline demon.

"Very well, I will help you", Umah answered before turning to face her husband. "Travas, will you be alright fighting Nexus in your current condition?"

"To tell you the truth, I don't know", Travas answered while holding his right side with his left hand-paw. "But I guess I won't know til I give it a try", he continued, turning to face the feline demon some fifty meters away.

At the moment Umah, Janos, and Raziel dart towards the final demonic legion, Travas instantly teleports towards the feline demon and prepares to strike a blow upon his face by using his right foot-paw. Nexus, however, catches the vulpin's foot with ease, causing Travas to look at him in surprise before being thrown towards one of the buildings about four hundred meters away. But before the impact could occur, Travas manages to make an aerial recovery while the feline demon teleports towards him, catching the vulpin by surprise once again. This time, however, the vulpin manages to teleport away from the demon just before he could grab a hold of his neck.

"Aw, c'mon, Travas…! Fight like a man", Nexus shouted mockingly. "Really, now…? Are you too weak to stand the slightest chance against me…" he continued, teleporting to the place where the vulpin teleported to a few seconds prior. Travas tries to attack him upon the moment he arrived until Nexus suddenly manages to grab a hold of his neck, pulling him up while Travas tries to escape and gasp for air. "…or are you too afraid to even lay the slightest finger against me", he asked mockingly, tightening his grip upon the vulpin's neck. But the vulpin wasn't so easily fooled, however, as he manages to violently strike Nexus' left eye with the steel toe of his boot, knocking him back and freeing the vulpin from the demon's grasp.

"I guess you didn't expect to be losing one of your eyes, huh", Travas spoke, getting back into his battle position while Nexus was holding onto his now bleeding, blinded left eye.

"Argh, damn you, Travas", Nexus shouted, growling in pain while trying to recover from the attack. Travas, on the other hand, sees this as an opportunity to strike against the feline demon a second time. But like Travas just a few moments ago, Nexus wasn't easily fooled as he uses his right hand-paw to summon forth an electrical sphere of energy that began to spark about violently around his location. He fires small, yet powerful bolts of lightning from the sphere towards the vulpin, striking upon him and placing him under his hold once again. "You're not getting away from me this time, you damned bastard!" the demonic feline shouted, intensifying his attack as Travas began screaming loudly in agonizing pain.

"ARGH", Travas screamed in agony, trying to break free from the feline demon's tightening grip on him.

"Ah, yes, here's a familiar attack I recently used against your family back on your home world", Nexus claimed, removing his hand-paw from his eye and forms another electrical sphere, firing bolts of lightning to increase the pain. "And now that I think about it… this does seem to be a fitting start of your end", he claimed, moving his arms in front of him to the point where they were crossing each other while pointing towards the demon's victim. "Just like how your family met theirs", the feline demon finished , hastily pulling his arms apart and causing Travas to violently spin his body around like a barrel rolling down a hill. As a response, Umah immediately turns to face her husband as a response to hearing his agonizing cries four hundred meters away from her position.

"TRAVAS", Umah shouted, ceasing her attack against the final demonic legion and teleports near the location where Nexus was torturing her beloved husband. "Hey! Get the hell off of my husband, YOU BASTARD", she shouted furiously, using her telekinetic abilities to push the feline demon away from her husband. Then, she uses this opportunity to teleport towards her husband, who was now on his knees trying to stand back up. She kneels next to the vampuric vulpin while placing her right hand on his back and her left on his chest. "Travas… are you alright", she asked as he starts coughing for a moment before looking towards her.

"I am now, Umah… thanks", Travas replied, slowly standing back up onto his feet and getting into battle position despite his current condition. But before he could say anything else, Nexus suddenly throws a telekinetic projectile towards the vulpin, violently pushing him towards the flagpole near the place where Janos and Raziel were fighting the rest of the final demonic legion.

After the sudden attack, he tries to get back onto his feet-paws seconds before being struck in the abdomen viciously by the feline demon, taking the breath out of him as Nexus strikes him in the face with his fist. The vulpin again crashes on the pile of rubble where the tower once stood, only to get back onto his feet-paws a few moments later. But despite him being able to stand, his arms began to weigh him down in contrast to his eyes becoming blurry from the damage he's sustained. And just within twenty-five feet from where he stood, Nexus lands onto the cement ground with a deadly electrical attack waiting to be cast upon the weak vulpin.

"This fight has gone on long enough", Nexus claimed while using some of his energy to greatly intensify the attack. "Though I must admit that the battle between you and I had a good, long run, I'm afraid it must come to an end", he continued, aiming the attack towards the weakened vulpin.

Within a mere heartbeat, he fires a single, powerful bolt of lightning towards the vulpin. All Travas could feel now was time slowing down around him while turning his face away, closing his eyes until he could see darkness. Then it came, hearing the sound of the attack piercing his chest… or what he thought it was. Either the attack didn't hit him or no pain came due to shock, but either way, he opens his eyes to reveal yet another bodily figure in front of him. When his vision clears, his eyes widen upon seeing the very person that he did not expect to take the attack… and the one he feared of losing the most.

"Umah…!" Travas spoke softly while tilting his head lower. Then he closes his eyes and tilts his head upward. "UMAH!" he shouted, grabbing the attention of both Janos and Raziel as they finish slaying four of the final seven demons remaining. And like Travas, their eyes grow wide and immediately sprinted towards them, but were blocked off by the other demons after they summoned forth a fire barrier. As a response, they turn to face the final three fiery demons responsible for the fire barrier's creation.

"Do you really think you two would easily escape from us? Think again", the fiery demon spoke evilly, sprinting towards the two with haste. And because of the barrier, Janos and Raziel were left with no choice but to fight the three demons before they could escape. But outside the barrier, Travas runs hastily and urgently towards his injured wife, knelling down to her side and leaning her towards him.

"Umah… hang in there!" Travas spoke with worry and fear in his tone, looking at the pierced wound slightly above her heart and shaking his head while trying to find a way to stop the blood loss. Within short notice, he removes his shirt, thus revealing his medium toned muscular torso, and uses it to try and bandage her wound as best as he could. But as he was bandaging her wound, she began to cough up blood, sending waves of anxiety and concern to the vulpin. "Oh, please dear God, no", he continued, holding onto his wife while closing his eyes. But soon, Umah grabs his attention when she rubs his right shoulder with her right hand.

"Travas… listen to me", Umah pleaded, coughing up a small portion of her blood. "It doesn't matter what happens to me in the end… I want you to defeat Nexus and destroy him", she continued hoarsely just as Raziel manages to destroy the last three surviving demons near their location. Thus, the fiery barrier dissipates and the duo head for Travas and his bloody, injured wife.

"Travas, what happened", Janos asked.

"She… she tried to save my life by taking the attack instead of me", Travas answered, holding onto his wife in his arms. "We have to save her", he yelled with anxiety and fear in his tone as Umah coughs up another portion of her blood. But before Janos could speak, Raziel notices a stain on her pants, questioning the substance at first. But within a few seconds, the bony demon realizes what the substance was and what was actually going on.

"Janos, he have another problem", Raziel spoke with urgency in his tone.

"What is it", Janos asked as Raziel points towards Umah's middle region, thus seeing the stain on her pants and realizing was wrong. "Oh dear God, not now", he continued, bringing Travas' attention to what was going on. "Travas, you must focus on defeating Nexus! Raziel and I will take Umah to the Uschtenheim hospital and get her immediate medical attention!"

"Janos, I can't-"

"God Damnit, Travas, we do not have time for this discord", Janos shouted. "I'll admit that we may not be able to save Umah… but the least we can do at this time is to try and save your child", he continued. But before Travas could respond, Umah grabs his left shoulder, causing him to turn and face his injured wife.

"Janos is right… and it doesn't matter what fate lies ahead of me", Umah spoke softly, coughing yet another small portion of her blood. "But our child deserves to have a chance at life… and I do not intend on having the baby die in the safety of my womb", she continued while groaning in pain as a response to the contractions in her womb. In that moment, Raziel grabs Umah's legs while Janos wraps his arms underneath her back before turning to face the direction of the Dark Eden exit. Travas lands one last kiss on Umah's lips before Raziel and Janos began to depart from the Kingdom by flight. All the vulpin could do now was look down upon the ground and clench his fist, unaware that the feline demon was preparing something within his hand-paws.

"How unfortunate… for your beloved wife to take the damage instead of her own husband", Nexus claimed, causing Travas to turn and face the feline demon with serious, hatred filled eyes. "A loss for words, I see. Very well then, if you don't have anything to say, then this probably might say something for you", he continued, preparing to throw the explosive attack towards the vulpin as Travas immediately got into battle position. But just when Nexus was about to throw it towards Travas, he decides to throw it towards the trio above, who were just landing on top of another building. And as it explodes, Travas watches in horror as the attack hits its designated target, leaving only a bright light to shine for a brief moment before dissipating.

"Oh no… UMAH", Travas screamed from the top of his lungs before smashing the ground with his clenched hand-paws, creating a shallow crater within a thirty feet radius around him. But while he was still on the ground, he discovers a severed three foot long by three inch wide black cloth that Umah wore over her denim jacket around her left arm. He picks it up and looks upon the piece of cloth with serious eyes before tying it around his head and underneath his bangs. And in that moment he turns to face the feline demon with hatred that was so deep, he could barely contain it.

"What's the matter… are you upset because I destroyed your teammates and that blasphemous bitch of yours", Nexus asked sarcastically, looking down upon the angered vulpin with mocking eyes. Down below, Travas started to growl furiously upon the feline demon before widening his eyes towards him, almost in a daring sort of fashion.

"You bastard… you're gonna pay… YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE", Travas screamed, tightening his fists as he growls loudly for the entire kingdom to hear, summoning a familiar purple-red colored energy that saved his life countless number of times. But this time, however, the energy was different than what he had used before, with his eyes no longer being pupil-less… but filled with blood-red colored pupils instead. His muscle mass had slightly increased more than what they once were, and his wounds manage to heal to the point they were no longer there. And in the skies above, Nexus looks upon the new transformation the vulpin had undergone with surprise, but nevertheless remains calm despite Travas' sudden increase in power.

"Strange… I remember sensing such power within him before during the battle between him and my master…" Nexus thought, eying the vulpin with a sense of wonder and familiarity. "… but there's something different about it this time." he thought, preparing to fight the vampuric vulpin while continuing to eye the vulpin with suspicion. "It looks like I may need to keep watch and steer clear of anything he might try to do. Otherwise, it will be the end of me instead of my own enemy's", the feline demon continued thinking just as he starts flying towards the vulpin with haste as Travas' energy intensifies like wildfire. In that moment Travas immediately flies towards the demon with great speed, but with only one assessment in mind: killing Nexus once and for all.

*Within the town of Uschtenheim*

As the final part of the battle begins to take place in Dark Eden, the frightened, but curious people of Uschtenheim continue to watch the burning empire just north of them. But as they watched, a sudden burst of a bright, white colored light appears before the entrance of the Uschtenheim Hospital. But despite the other townsfolk becoming terrified by their vampuric and demonic appearance, the group enters the hospital and runs hastily towards the female receptionist located within the heart of the Hospital lobby. When they arrive a few short seconds later, the female receptionist becomes terrified of their appearance at first, but soon became worried at the moment she notices the gravely injured pregnant vampire they were holding in their arms.

"Madam, we acquire medical attention for one of our vampires at once! She has sustained a fatal wound above her heart just moments before her water broke", Janos urgently spoke as the female receptionist continued to examine Umah's body closely, looking upon the pregnant vampire with unimaginable shock before turning to face the winged vampire a second time.

"How long ago did she sustain such an injury", the female receptionist asked as some of the other nurses arrive towards their location with a trolley bed.

"She sustained the injury during a battle against the one called Nexus", Janos answered as he and Raziel immediately place Umah onto the trolley bed.

"I see…" the female receptionist replied. "But because the severity of the wound had reached a critical level, I cannot guarantee her survival during childbirth or surgery, nor that of the baby itself", she explained, causing the winged vampire to tilt his head downward calmly, despite his sadness being slightly apparent.

"I understand… and I am aware of the fact Umah might not survive…" Janos softly spoke, clenching his fists before suddenly tilting his head upwards and looks at the receptionist with calm, serious eyes. "But you must save and bring Travas and Umah's baby into this world, giving it the same chance at life every newborn child deserves. Otherwise, if Travas loses both his wife and child, not only will he lose his family… but he will lose everything he's cherished up to this point in his life", he continued in a slightly louder tone, causing the female receptionist to look upon him with an understanding, but numb expression, showing she had a loss for words to describe her feelings. Then, she instantly turns to face the other nurses, looking towards them as they point the trolley bed to the direction where the Emergency Room was located.

"Alright, get the woman into the emergency room at once! We have to deliver her baby before she dies with the child inside her womb", the female receptionist ordered as the nurses immediately take Umah into the E.R. before turning towards the two other beings behind her. "There are some seats neat the E.R. if you would like to wait there for your friend", she spoke, pointing towards the long, cushioned seats near the E.R. entrance before looking back towards the winged vampire. "But as I said before, I cannot guarantee the survival of either your friend or her child… but I'll ensure some of our finest doctors and nurses do the best they can".

"I understand… and I thank you for your assistance", Janos replied as the female receptionist nods in response and walks back towards her station. All they could do now was remain within the hallway alone and wait, continuing to hope for the recovery of not just one of their finest members of the Resistance, but that of the unborn child as well.

*Within the Western Industrialized Kingdom, Dark Eden*

The blood red sky continues to fill the night and the city's inhabitants were almost wiped out. But despite all that's happened, the battle between the feline demon, Nexus, and the heroic vampuric vulpin, Travas, continues to take place. But the tide was beginning to turn against the feline demon, however, for Travas finally ascends to a higher level of power. His wounds fade continuously as Nexus continues to strike upon the vulpin with whatever strength he could gather. But this, too, seems meaningless as the feline demon ceases his attacks and looks at the vulpin with unbelievable shock, while Travas looks towards him with serious, hate-filled eyes.

"What the hell has Travas become…?" Nexus thought, ceasing his attacks and flying backwards about ten feet away from his opponent. "It's like he's become divine…" he continued, widening his eyes in both anger and fear as Travas began to calmly smirk at him.

"To answer your question, Nexus…" Travas started while walking towards him slowly as the feline demon was walking backwards away from him in a limping manner. "I've merely become the very thing you fear the most… your destroyer", he continued while summoning forth some of his energy and engulf it around the Soul Reaver blade, causing the sword's eye sockets to glow a fiery-like essence within the skull heft of the blade. "And you're going to pay for what you've done to my friends and my wife you heartless son of a bitch".

"Me... pay? Ha, how pathetic! The only one who's going to pay is you! And you're gonna pay for what you have done to my master!" Nexus shouted, finally managing to acquire the courage to fight and flies towards the vulpin with energy-formed blades ready to strike. But before the feline demon could strike, however, Travas instantly teleports behind his opponent and grabs a hold of his wings. Thus, he tightens his grip on them, sending painful shockwaves to the demon's back and causing him to growl painfully.

"I don't think so, Nexus! You're in no condition to fight me any further", Travas yelled, tightening his grip upon Nexus' wings before the sound of violent tearing and painful screams could be heard from the feline demon himself. And at the moment he turns to face his back, he discovers the place where his bat-like wings were once attached, only to see them ripped off of his back and in the hand-paws of his vulpine opponent.

"My wings… you ripped off my fucking wings!" Nexus spoke with angered shock, sprinting towards the vulpin hastily and with his blades ready to strike. But as he jumps towards the vulpin, he feels a sharp pain pierce through his abdomen and back, looking down shockingly to see one of his own wings responsible for his newly inflicted injury. Upon looking upward, he discovers his opponent holding onto the back part of his wings while Travas starts pulling the feline demon upwards. Then, within a sudden moment, the vulpin throws the demon off of his former wing, crashing upon the flagpole nearby and toppling it as a result. Thus, the feline demon begins reverting back to his normal state and his energetic blades dissipate as a result of some of his blood loss.

"As I've said before, you're in no condition to fight me any further, especially after what I did to you just a few moments ago", Travas claimed calmly, but firmly while walking towards the feline demon. "Give up, Nexus! You've lost", he continued as his opponent starts to get back up onto his feet-paws, despite his weary condition.

"Have I", Nexus asked, smirking towards the vulpin and looking upon him with his blood red eyes. "Just because I am heavily wounded doesn't mean that I'm out of commission just yet. Besides, I still have one more trick up my sleeve", he claimed, raising his right hand-paw up slightly and began summoning forth another massively intense energetic attack. Soon, a massive ball of deadly electrical energy nearly triple the size of its maker began to form some fifteen feet above him. But despite the intensity of the attack, Travas continues to stand his ground calmly and looks upon the growing attack.

"And so do I, you ignorant fool", Travas thought, also getting into battle position just as Nexus throws the powerful attack towards him. One second after another, the massive electrical continues to grow closer towards its target, and then bang! The attack explodes upon the vulpin, causing the feline demon to smirk and laugh hysterically with evil delight. But that soon changes when he senses the vulpin's energy increasing dramatically. And when the smoke began to subside, he discovers his opponent preparing one of his fiery attacks in his cupped hand-paws.

"What the hell…? What in god's name is he summoning this time!" Nexus thought as his eyes began to slowly widen in shock while trying to remain as calm as he possibly could. But despite his efforts, his body began to shake in fear as a result of the intensity of the upcoming attack. But then, there was one more idea he could try in order to try and save himself. Thus, he begins to prepare yet another electrical sphere of energy the same size he had before, but with a much more destructive level. "Alright, you vulpine bastard, I've had enough of your foolish tricks! IT'S TIME WE SETTLE THIS DISCORD ONCE AND FOR ALL", he shouted, throwing the completed, but raw electrical sphere towards the vulpin as hard as he could towards the vulpin several meters in front of him.

"You're time has come, Nexus! You're gonna pay for what you've done to my loved ones", Travas shouted, raising his cupped arms towards the demon several meters away from him. "DRAGON'S FIERY KAMIKAZE", he shouted, firing his fiery attack towards the demon's attack. Nexus began to smirk and push his own attack towards the vulpin's by means of deflecting it. But his confident face soon turns into a more horrified one as the fiery attack pierces right through the feline demon's own attack.

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! THERE'S NO WAY YOU COULD'VE-" was all Nexus could say before the attack began to engulf his entire body, piercing through every part like a needle piercing through a piece of cloth. His screams of agony continue on for another fifteen seconds until his voice was silenced by the raging fire, turning his body into nothing more than ashes blowing through the warm night breeze. In that moment, Travas sighs in relief before collapsing onto his knees, looking down upon the cement ground as the purple-red energy fades and he began to slightly breathe heavily.

"It's over… at long last… it's over", Travas spoke softly, wiping the sweat off of his forehead before trying to get back up onto his feet-paws. Once back onto his feet-paws, he turns to face the direction where Uschtenheim lies and seeing the electrical barrier dissipating before his eyes. "Thank god… now my sister can return home safely", he thought, setting his sights towards the small town of Uschtenheim. But before he could dart towards the city, he senses a familiar essence from behind him and turns around, seeing an electrical aura float about from behind him. Then, the aura suddenly darts towards him like a bullet, engulfing Travas in the electrical essence that began to cover his entire body and knock him onto the ground.

After about a few brief moments, the electrical essence fades and Travas manages to recover before looking towards Uschtenheim once again. But before he could begin making his move, something regarding the electrical aura began to trouble him within his mind. He looks upon his hands to see that his vision was no longer becoming blurry after the energy had engulfed him. Then, another idea came into his mind: instead of flying towards Uschtenheim, he could teleport towards the town and try seeing his wife one last time before something would happen to her. With his mind set on this, he began summoning forth his teleportation energy and focuses his mind on the Uschtenheim Hospital. Thus, a bright light shines upon the spot where he once stood, leaving the Industrialized Kingdom to burn down to the ground until there was nothing left of the fallen city.

*Within the Pillars of Nosgoth*

One repair after another, the gray vulpin continues to do what he could in order to repair the ship after receiving such damages from Nexus' electrical barrier. But just as he finishes the final repairs, however, he notices the electrical barrier dissipate within the skies above. He immediately sets the tools down and heads for the holo phone near the control panel, punching in the numbers that would connect them straight to his wife down in Stahlberg. And within a matter of seconds, a green, holographic image of his wife forms before the control panel as she turns to face her husband.

"Johnny, are you alright", Alexia asked, looking upon his sweaty state.

"Yes, I'm okay", Johnny answered, wiping the sweat off of his forehead. "How's Dylan and Scarlet", he asked.

"They're fine", Alexia replied. "We've just destroyed the last remnants of the demonic army and the kits are coming out from the basement as we speak".

"Alright, that's good to know", Johnny said, sighing in relief. "I've managed to repair the ship just a few moments ago. Tell them that I'm about to head towards ya'lls direction as we speak", he continued, turning the keys to the ship's ignitions and preparing for flight.

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit, Johnny… and please hurry", Alexia pleaded, disconnecting the call as the gray vulpin began lifting the ship into the air through the control panel and beginning to fly towards the refuge in Stahlberg. And within a matter of a couple of minutes, due to the ship's high speed, he manages to arrive upon the refuge, with Alexia and the kits waiting anxiously, but patiently for him to arrive. He opens the side doors to the Jet and stands before the entrance.

"C'mon, get in", Johnny shouted, causing Alexia and the kits to run for the jet entrance with haste. Upon entering, the kits got into their seats as Alexia began to buckle her son in while Scarlet began buckling herself in. Alexia instantly runs for her seat and buckles herself in and puts on the jet head set.

"Johnny, let's get to Alopex and bring Scarlet back home to her family right away", Alexia spoke, causing the gray vulpin to nod in response.

"Understood", Johnny replied, pressing the clutch forwards and preparing for liftoff once more. "Alopex, here we come", he continued, pressing on the gas of the Jet and flying into space, with their sights set on the one destination Scarlet hoped to return to at last.

*Inside the Hospital Emergency Room*

Lights were beaming over the wounded pregnant vampire's face and various medical bags filled with blood and morphine was attached to her body as well. Contractions were felt within the inner walls of her womb as a result of pushing the baby out of her. As she continues pushing, the other doctors inside continued to work on her chest wound she had badly sustained while trying to protect her husband from Nexus. But the treatment wasn't faring well with her, however, as every single push causes blood to pour out of the wound, thus losing a fair amount of it as a response. Then there came one such painful contraction that Umah couldn't bear with, causing her to arch her stomach upwards involuntarily and hiss due to the pain.

"Doctor, she's loosing too much blood! Is she continues losing blood at this rate, she might not make it!" one female nurse shouted while trying to do everything she could to treat the pregnant vampire's wound. "We have to do something for her or else she's gonna die!"

"I know, I know! But we have to do what we can to save her child", the make doctor replied, continuing to hold onto the orange furred head. "Mrs. Starfox, you're almost there! Keep breathing", he continued, preparing for the final push as Umah began to breathe at a fast, but hoarse pace.

"ARGH", Umah screamed in pain, gripping onto the medical bed before her before leaning forward. And within a mere few moments, the most painful contraction comes forth as the doctor sought this chance to bring the baby into the world at last.

"Mrs. Starfox, PUSH", the doctor yelled, causing Umah to push as hard as she could and scream painfully at the same time.

When her scream stagnates, she falls back onto the bed, breathing heavily and painfully while staring at the lights above her. She continues to do so for another few seconds until the sounds of her baby's first cries could be heard. She tried to lean forward and look towards her newborn child, but was too weak and falls backward onto the bed as a result while beginning to slowly lose consciousness.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Starfox, it's a girl", a second nurse said, placing the newborn child into the cleansing bucket next to her mother. The nurses began to clean her baby off while the others try to operate on her chest wound.

As Umah looks towards her newborn child, she notices her newborn daughter was an orange-colored vulpin, with one black ear, left forearm, foreleg, and an orange ear like her father. Likewise, she notices her daughter having a white patch of fur over her right eye, with an emerald green colored eye like Travas. However, she also had one black oddly crescent moon shaped marking with a point on the top part on the left side of her face. Umah also discovers that her daughter had a silver-purple colored eye on the same corresponding side like her. But before she could say anything, she began to fade into a state of unconsciousness as the nurse finishes rinsing the baby off.

"Umah is resting peacefully now… but there's nothing more we can do for her since the wound was much more severe than we realized" the doctor said, shaking his head softly before turning to face the other four nurses in the same room. "Let's get the baby dried and into a pair of clean clothes. I wish to return the baby to her mother as soon as possible before Mrs. Starfox passes on", he continued as the other nurses took the baby to the cleaning room a couple of doors down the hall.

Upon entering, they take the baby to another cleansing area to cleanse off the remaining blood that covered her body. After about half a minute, they dry the baby off gently with a towel as the third nurse grabs a pair of clean, white colored baby clothes and a mint-green blanket to cover the vulpin kit in. Finally, the third nurse and male doctor take her back into the same room that an unconscious, dying Umah was resting in, placing the baby in her mother's arms. Thus, Umah wakens in response to the nurse setting her child into her arms.

"Welcome to the world of Nosgoth, my daughter", Umah softly spoke while smiling briefly; closing her eyes as a few drops of tears stream down her face. But she regains enough composure to smile softly towards her daughter as the newborn vulpin simply stared at her mother curiously. "I'm sorry… however… I won't be able to watch you grow up over the passing years, nor go to any festivities you may attend", she continued, with her sight beginning to fade while a few more drops of tears begin to stream down her face. "But there is one thing I can give you, my daughter… and the gift… I want to name you Serenity… the same place I kissed your father for the first time…" the dying vampire continued, before planting a gentle, motherly kiss onto her newborn daughter's forehead before gently reclining back onto her bed, holding onto her daughter and looking into her eyes. "Remember me, Serenity… remember your mother's name… Umah", was the last thing Umah said in her last breath before closing her eyes and turning her head to the left side, finally losing whatever life she had remaining in her body.

As Umah finally passes on, the nurse and male doctor watch with calm sadness as the newborn vulpin began to cry like she did when she was born. With tears streaming down the newborn kit's face, the third nurse gently picks her up and begins to pat her back gently, hoping to comfort Serenity despite her being a newborn child. All they could do now was walk out of the Emergency Room and towards the lobby, hoping to find the father of the child and give him his newborn daughter.

*Outside of the Uschtenheim Hospital*

Various people continue to watch Dark Eden crumble like dust blowing into the night breeze. But despite the others continuing to do whatever they could for the other survivors, they suddenly spot a bright light some thirty meters away from the Hospital entrance. They began to panic at first, but then sigh in relief and cheer as they notice it was their beloved hero, Travas, arriving to Uschtenheim. Some of the others began to run towards him while calling out his name, but the vulpin raises his hand-paw upward as a signal to stop them from approaching any further.

"Guys, I know ya'll are all cheerful and all, but I have to see my wife", Travas spoke, continuing to run towards the entrance just up ahead of him. "Umah, hang in there! I'm coming", he thought, quickly entering the lobby as he spots Janos and Raziel waiting in another hallway nearby. But when he approaches them, he was met with a feeling of loss within them they Janos began to look towards him with saddened eyes.

"Travas… I'm sorry", Janos softly spoke before turning his head to the left side of his face, obviously showing that he's trying to hold back his tears as best he could.

"What happened…?" Travas asked, curious and concerned about what he said. But within the next moment, his eyes slightly widen as he finally realizes what Janos truly meant behind his words. "No… she can't be… she can't…" he tried to deny what the winged vampire said, but instead found him looking slightly left and right, only to begin holding his own head and shaking it with denial. He immediately began pacing back and forth around the hall while continuing to shake his head with disbelief.

"Travas… I'm-"

"Damnit", Travas shouted while simultaneously smashing his left fist into the wall violently. "Why did she have to die… why?!" he continued shouting with a saddened, causing Raziel to apprehend his arms and pin him to the opposite wall.

"Travas, you fool! There isn't a need for you to get into such a tantrum!" Raziel yelled, keeping the vulpin pinned to the wall and preventing him from causing any further outbursts. "I understand how hard it is for you to lose your wife at a time like this, but if it wasn't for Umah, you wouldn't have been able to summon the energy you needed to annihilate Nexus", he pointed out, but all he got as a response was the vulpin lowering his head and shaking his head in disbelief.

"Oh please, dear God no…" Travas muttered softly, beginning to hold onto his eyes with sadness while trying to contain his tears. But within a matter of seconds, his ears perk up to what he believed to be the sound of a baby's cries. Thus he turns to face the doors in which lead towards the emergency room where Umah had died in, seeing the male doctor and a female nurse carrying a crying baby towards his direction. And in that moment, he realizes that the baby was his own child.

"Excuse me, but are you Mr. Travas Starfox by chance?" the female nurse asked, causing Travas to nod in response as Raziel releases his grip upon him.

"Yes… that's me", Travas answered, lowering his head in depression while facing his left side. But within a moment, he turns to face the nurse once again when she places her left hand on his right shoulder.

"We're deeply sorry for your loss and we wish to offer you our deepest condolences", the female nurse said, giving the vulpin a bit of comfort despite the emotional pain he feels within him. And within another moment, the nurse gently hands him his newborn daughter, thus allowing Travas to see his kit for the first time.

Upon looking at her features, he notices the vulpin baby looks exactly like him, with only a few distinctions. He notices the baby had a black oddly sharp-tipped crescent moon shaped marking on the right side of the kit's face, framing itself nearly around her left eye. In a similar notion, he discovers the newborn kit had the same silver-purple colored eye that was framed by the crescent moon marking like his newly deceased wife. Lastly, he notices her small bangs were a luxurious black color matching well with her mother's hair color. All he could do now was hold his newborn daughter in his arms gently before looking back at the doctor and nurse.

"Despite the tragedy that unexpectedly came to you, Travas, we want to congratulate you on having your first child", the male doctor spoke, shaking Travas' left hand-paw with his before turning to face the E.R. door. "Right now, I am required to begin funeral arrangements for your wife. But please… take good care of your daughter", he continued, walking back towards the emergency room where Travas' wife had died in. Then, Janos and Raziel began looking at the newborn kit by means of bringing some comfort into them regardless of all that's happened.

"She looks gorgeous like her mother, but looks a lot like her father", Janos spoke, turning to face the vulpin with a soft smile, but then his smile fades and eyes widen upon something that suddenly came to mind. "Travas, do you know what your daughter's birth means", he asked, causing Travas to look upon Janos curiously despite his emotional pain.

"What do you mean…?" Travas asked, unsure of what the winged vampire met behind his words. But within a moment, Raziel's eyes slightly widen upon understanding the truth behind Janos' words.

"She's the first vampire naturally born after all of these aeons", Raziel replied, getting the attention of the vulpin himself.

"Wait… first naturally born vampire in aeons time", Travas asked curiously just before he looks upon his daughter, who began making soft, gentle baby noises as a response to seeing her father.

"Yes… you may already know this, but at the time of the great war against the vampires and our adversaries, the Hylden cursed us with sterility and immortality with our predatory blood thirst, preventing us from being able to reproduce offspring", Janos explained, sighing with depression. "But the tide seems to have turned when you bred new life into Umah's womb and bringing your child into this world", he continued, softly smiling towards Travas' newborn kit in his arms. Although the vulpin was still emotionally distraught by the loss of his wife, the sight of seeing his newborn daughter continues to bring him comfort as he softly smiles towards the kit. He begins to gently rub his thumb on his daughter's left cheek, causing her to giggle as a response.

"You're one happy kit, aren't you", Travas asked while softly smiling, using his index finger to gently rub underneath her chin and causing her to giggle as a response. But before he could say anything further, he notices Janos walking towards the other side of the hall. He walks towards him with the baby held in his left arm while grabbing his shoulder gently, getting the winged vampire's attention. "Janos, where are you going", he asked.

"I need to make a phone call to Johnny and his family the news…" Janos answered before turning to face the Phone nearby. "I would 'Whisper' them regarding the news… but I think this may be more suitable for me to tell them what happened", Janos answered, causing Travas' expression to slightly sadden before nodding in response.

"I understand… I'll be over here if you need me", Travas replied, sitting next to Raziel on one of the chairs that were set up near the E.R. while holding onto his daughter in his arm. Within a few seconds, the winged vampire grabs the phone hooked onto the wall, gently pressing the numbers on the pad that would get him into contact with the Broderick family. All he could do now was wait their patiently as the phone continues to ring endlessly, hoping to get into contact with the family and tell them the grave news.

*Inside the Jet in Outer Space, near Alopex*

A horizon of stars could be seen throughout Outer Space, and silence fills the atmosphere within the Jet Johnny continues to Pilot. Despite all that's happened, he continues to fly towards the battle top shaped space station just a few miles ahead of them. As they draw closer, Scarlet merely smiles happily to be home once again as tears began to form in her eyes, finally being able to see her family at last. But for some strange reason, her smile faded into a more calm, saddened one as she looks down upon herself and places her hand-paws over her heart, sensing that something was wrong. But regardless of the strange feeling, she looks up to the Jet windshield and notices Johnny entering the inner Space Docks.

"We're here", Johnny said, parking the ship next to the landing docks in which some of the metal ship clamps grab a hold of it. The side Jet door opens as Scarlet and the Broderick family walks outside of the jet and into the Docks. And there, standing about seven meters away from the ship was Scarlet's family, upon which her parents were partially covered in bandages around parts of their arms, sides, and heads. In that moment, the vixen child ran towards her family as they did with their eldest daughter.

"Scarlet!" Victoria shouted, running towards her daughter and pulling her into a tight, heartwarming, relieving hug. "Oh, thank the maker you're alright", she continued, sobbing while Johnny and his wife smiles towards the reunited family while grabbing a hold of each other's hands.

"Thank god her parents are alright", Johnny softly spoke, causing Alexia and Dylan to nod in response. But before Alexia could speak, she hears the phone ring in the ship, thus turning around to face the ship.

"I'll go on ahead and answer that. You and Dylan go and talk to Scarlet's family and check up on them and see if you could find out what happened", Alexia said, releasing her grip on her husband's hand-paw and began walking towards the ship. At the same time, Johnny placed Dylan over his shoulders and carried him towards the Starfox family.

"Are you guys alright…?" Johnny asked, causing Victoria and the others to turn and face the approaching vulpin. "I assume that Nexus was the one that did this to you, guys?"

"Yes…" Victoria answered, clenching her fists. "He began banging on our door just a few minutes after we got back home from eating lunch at a Veron Opus Diner earlier this-" she was about to finish until she notices the square three inch by three inch bandage on Scarlet's cheek. "Oh, maker…! Scarlet, what happened to your face", she asked as Erica and Travas Sr. walks around to see their relative's bandaged cheek.

"He punched me using the back of his hand-paw…" Scarlet answered while beginning to choke back on a sob. "And… and… he was about to use me for a blood sacrifice to bring back someone from the dead!" she continued as she buries her face in Victoria's left shoulder, bursting into tears as Victoria continues to provide comfort for her daughter in any way possible.

"It's alright Scarlet… you're home now…" Victoria softly spoke, holding onto her child and continuing to provide comfort for her daughter as Erica and Travas Sr. kneel down next to them. But when Johnny began to approach, he and his son hear the sounds of sobbing coming from the ship. And when he turns around, he notices his wife crying at the Jet's side entrance, causing him to run towards his wife while holding onto Dylan on his shoulders. He sets their son down carefully before grabbing onto his wife's shoulders, thus grabbing her attention as a result.

"Alexia, what's wrong?" Johnny asked worryingly, looking at her tear-filled eyes.

"Johnny… I just got a phone call from Janos…" Alexia answered while sobbing as the Starfox family began to approach them curiously. "Umah's dead…" she continues before the gray vulpin's eyes widen with shock

"What!" Johnny replied softly, shocked to hear about the news of Umah's death just as the other family arrives to their location.

"Mrs. Broderick, what's the matter", the younger vixen, Erica, asked, wondering why the human mother was crying.

"Alexia, what's wrong? Did something happen to Umah", Scarlet asked with a concerned tone while Alexia was drying her tears. However, Travas Sr. began looking at Scarlet with calm eyes upon hearing the familiar name. But within a moment, Alexia began to regain enough composure to look at both kits.

"Scarlet… just about a few moments ago, I received a phone call from one of my friends at the Hospital in Uschtenheim…" Alexia started, drying the fresh tears that began streaming down her face while Scarlet continued to look upon her in a worried manner.

"What happened to Umah? What about her baby", Scarlet asked worryingly, causing Travas Sr.'s eyes to widen upon what his daughter just said.

"The baby's fine, sweetie…" Alexia answered before turning her once soft smile into a more saddened one. "It's about Umah… she passed away from excessive blood loss just shortly after giving birth to her daughter…" she continued explaining as she holds her own mouth and turns away from the young vixen. "And Nexus was the one responsible for her death…"

Upon hearing the news, Scarlet began to look back and forth towards the left and right directions as if she were in distress. For some strange, unknown reason, the vixen child's eyes began to well up before looking back towards her parents and sibling. In a similar notion, both Victoria and Erica's eyes began to water up with tears, even though they've never met the woman before. And soon enough, Scarlet finds herself sobbing madly as if some kind of mysterious bond has been broken inside of her.

"No! Not her…! Why did she have to die", Scarlet yelled, burying her face into her mother's yellow dress and began sobbing madly. "It's not fair… it's just not fair", she continued as tears continued to stream down her face. Within a moment, Erica began crying for a similar reason like her sister, walking towards the other side to bury her face into her mother's dress. As for Travas Sr. he merely turns his head to the right side while shutting his eyes.

"Damnit, Travas… why did you have to marry that girl", Travas Sr. thought within his mind, soon managing to regain his composure and look upon Alexia with serious eyes. "Did she defeat Nexus?" he asked

"No… she didn't", Alexia answered. "But her husband killed him", she continued as Scarlet, Erica, and Victoria looks towards her with curious, saddened eyes.

"I see… there is one more thing I would like to ask before you depart", Travas Sr. spoke as Johnny and Dylan began looking towards the general curiously. "Who is Umah's husband, if I may ask?" he asked, eying the human mother suspiciously while she began to wipe her tears away.

"I wasn't able to see his face… because he often wore a hockey mask when we saw him" Alexia answered. "But his arrival has been the best thing that's happened to Nosgoth", she continued. Although Victoria and the kits were confused, Travas Sr. merely nodded in response.

"I understand…" Travas Sr. said, softly smiling upon her response. "Thank you, guys, for bringing our daughter back home safe and sound. However, we must head home since there are repairs needing to be done at this time", the general continued, shaking Johnny's hand-paw while the other family members began to give them comforting hugs to the other family. After Erica gives Dylan a hug, she and her family leave for their hover car parked near the entrance of the Alopex Space Station Docking Bay. Once they leave, Johnny turns to face his wife as she manages to dry her tears and looks towards him.

"Ready to go, hon", Johnny asked, holding both of her hands with his hand-paws.

"Yes… let's go", Alexia answered, releasing her hold on his hand-paws and picking their son up, carrying him towards the space jet nearby. She buckles their son into his seat behind his father as Johnny starts the ignition to the jet. Within the next moment, Alexia takes a seat on the front passenger's side and buckles herself in. But before the gray vulpin presses on the gas, he turns to face his human wife looking down upon herself in depression.

"Are you alright, Alexia?" Johnny asked worryingly, causing her to snap out of her depressive-based trance, but remains looking down towards the floorboard.

"I don't know, hon", Alexia answered, but then she softly smiles and looks towards him. "But with you and Dylan being there for me, I know I'll be alright", she continued, causing the gray vulpin to smile and kiss his wife's lips. Then, the metal clamp holding onto the ship releases as the vulpin flies the Jet backwards in reverse, exiting the space station and setting their sights for home. But what their plans were for when they return, they did not know. Thus, the gray vulpin pulls the hyper-speed lever and instantly flies towards their home in Nosgoth, with mental preparations for the funeral of their fallen friend and comrade, Umah, beginning to course their minds.

*Within the Meridian Cathedral, one week later*

The dark clouds cover the morning skies in Meridian and a large sum of people began entering theCathedral. Inside, various members of the Cabal and those that worked with them are walking towards their designated seats. In the front part of the Chapel, the Vampire Resistance, dressed in black and Sunday's best, sit in the seats that were directly in front of the casket containing Umah inside. And the one sitting directly in front of the casket was Travas, with his newborn daughter in his arms and trying to rock her gently to sleep. Then, in a matter of moments, the bishop of meridian enters before the Chapel stage, clearing his throat before leaning towards the microphone.

"Last week, we have suffered another monstrosity regarding a demon named Nexus. And this morning, we gather here in remembrance to one of the Cabal's finest members and beloved heroine, Umah, in which she lost her life shortly after giving birth to her and Travas' daughter", the bishop started while Travas continues comforting his child and looking towards his wife's casket, still containing saddened and self-loathsome feelings inside from Umah's passing. "She has done everything she could to stand against the demon, including saving the life of a hostage related to Travas himself", he continued while the cries of Umah's friends and loved ones become more apparent. Soon enough, Travas almost found himself to be at the verge of tears, but continues to remain strong and provide comfort to his now crying daughter. "Although it ails many of us to lose such a beloved member of the Cabal and recent mother, her sacrifice gave her husband the power to overcome the demon and defeat him with his newfound strength. She may be gone from this world, but her spirit will continue to live on and will always remain in our hearts", he spoke while Travas shuts his eyes and tilts his head downward. Johnny, who was sitting next to him, notices his kithood friend's pain and places his left hand-paw on the vulpin's right shoulder. As a response, the vampuric vulpin opens his eyes and looks towards his close friend sitting next to him.

"You alright, buddy", Johnny asked quietly, but also getting the attention of his close friend.

"I don't know anymore…" Travas quietly answered. "It's just I have too much going on in my mind right now… I can't even think clearly", he continued as the bishop takes a sip from his glass of water and clears his throat.

"Let us bow our heads in-" the bishop started until he suddenly hears the Chapel doors open, causing him to tilt his head upward while most of the others turn to face the person. And standing at the entrance was none other than Kain, who was sporting a pair of black slacks, leather shoes, and a dark gray dress shirt with a black dress jacket over it.

"I believe this is the place where Umah's funeral is being held", Kain assumed calmly, looking towards the large twenty-four by thirty inch photo of her in front of the stage along with noticing her casket in front of it. At the same time, he also notices a familiar enemy of his sitting directly in front of the casket, seeing him growl softly while holding something in his hand-paws. "Ah, yes, if it isn't one of my enemies from my recent past, Travas Starfox. What ails you, Mr. Starfox, not expecting my company to take part in the funeral?" he asked while calmly smirking towards the vulpin.

"What the hell's he doing here", Travas thought before turning to face the vampire about thirty-five feet away from him. "What do you want?! Why did you show up?!" he asked angrily, but within a calm manner so that he wouldn't accidently wake his child.

"Why I am here is of no concern to you, Travas, other than that I am here to pay the slightest remnants of my respects towards her", Kain answered as Travas' growls soon became more apparent than they once were. "However, I can sense that you're not pleased to see me here either".

"Gee, no shit, Kain! Why do you think I'm sitting here and looking at you in a pissed off mood", Travas shot back slightly louder as the baby begins to move her arms. "Now why don't you do us all a favor and leave us alone", he yelled.

"Such harsh language", Kain mocked. "Despite your words, however, I will not be leaving that easily. But if you wish for me to leave, why don't you stand up and fight me at once", he declared, getting into battle position and Johnny turns his head enough to where he could face the ambitious vampire.

"That's enough, Kain! There's too much going on and we don't need any shit from you right now", Johnny spoke, looking towards the vampire with serious eyes as Kain did with him.

"Oh really" Kain asked mockingly and doubtfully.

"Yeah, really", Johnny answered calmly.

"Very well then… if you really wish for me to go, then how about YOU GET YOUR FILTHY VULPINE ASS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW AND FACE ME, YOU VILE BASTARD!" Kain shouted, causing Johnny to growl angrily and jump over the cushioned booth, marching towards the vampire hastily. But Vorador was quick enough to grab a hold of Johnny while Janos teleports in front of Kain and grabs a hold of his arms. And as the two vampires continue to break up the fight, Travas' child began crying massively, thus enraging both Travas and the bishop at the same time. But before either one of them could speak, a familiar female vixen angrily stands up from the front left side, runs up to the stage, and grabs the microphone.

"ALRIGHT, CUT THE BULLSHIT!" the female vixen screamed, getting the attention from everyone in the room. And at the moment Johnny and Travas look towards her closely, they recognize her was none other than Amy herself. "For Christ's sake, we're in a funeral here, not a fight club", she yelled with an angered tone. And within a matter of seconds Johnny closes his eyes and manages to calm down after taking a few long deep breaths. At the same time, Kain also manages to calm down in a similar fashion to Johnny, but began looking towards the gray fox with serious, cold eyes. But before he could say or do anything, Janos uses his telekinesis to grab a hold of him, preventing the ambitious vampire from doing anything.

"Kain, now is not the time for any more trouble", Janos spoke calmly, but with seriousness in his tone. "Now I suggest that you leave this place right now and trouble us no more".

"Me, leave…? I don't think so, Janos", Kain replied, trying to break free from the winged vampire's telekinetic grip on him. "I'm not leaving here until my business here is done. Now let go of me at once, you vile bastard! I have to speak a few words regarding Umah and I must say what I came here for".

"Why did you bother showing up here, Kain? You know damn well that she hated you after what you did to her at the wharves five years ago", Travas shouted while rocking the vixen baby back and forth gently, hoping to try and comfort her as much as he could.

"My business regarding that is of no concern to you, vulpine!" Kain shouted. "Janos, remove these telekinetic binds from body or else I'll-"

"Where were you when Umah was fighting against the Sarafan patrol units at the Wharves five years ago?! Why didn't you give Umah a second chance after she repented for stealing the Nexus stone from you?! WHY DID YOU KILL HER WHEN BEGGED FOR HER LIFE COUNTLESS NUMBER OF TIMES", Travas screamed from the top of his lungs, glaring towards the vampire with blood red colored eyes. But soon, his eyes shift back to normal and calms down after taking a few deep breaths to tend to his crying infant daughter in his arms. Although Kain wanted to respond to what he said, the vampire shuts his eyes and takes a few deep breaths instead, managing to calm down enough to regain his composure. Thus, Janos frees the ambitious vampire as Kain glares towards Travas with serious, calm, perhaps slightly angered eyes before pointing towards him.

"Very well then, I will leave this place and trouble you no more… but don't assume that this is over, Travas, because I promise you that it's not", Kain claimed, cupping his hands together and teleporting out of the building, leaving only a green colored aura behind at the spot he once stood. In that moment, Travas and the others turn to face the bishop once again, but Amy moves towards the front and sits next to the widowed vulpin, placing her left hand-paw on his back to comfort her kithood friend in any way possible.

"Alright… despite the sudden distraction, let us bow our heads down in prayer", the bishop said as he and the others bow their heads down and hold onto their hands. "Dear heavenly father, we come and pray to you to bless the hearts of those who knew Umah well and provide them comfort in any way possible, including the hearts of her husband and daughter. We also ask for you, despite her vampuric nature, to take her into the kingdom of heaven for the deeds she's done for Nosgoth's people in the past five years. And the last thing we would like to pray to you is to keep Umah's spirit within our hearts and watch over her friends and loved ones, thus providing hope in order for them to continue on with their lives under your name. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen" he finished as he and a couple of the pallbearers opens the casket, revealing Umah's body resting within the casket in a black dress.

At the moment the casket was opened, the funeral attendees begin walking by the casket while exiting the church. One after another, they continue to look upon Umah's deceased body, with tears in their eyes and mourning cries becoming more apparent than they once were. But within a minute or two, the front row begins to follow the rest of the crowd while passing through the casket. But when Travas gets to the casket with his daughter held in his left hand, he kneels down and strokes her face with his right hand-paw.

"Goodbye, Umah… you'll always be in my heart", Travas spoke softly with a sad tone, closing his eyes and doing his best to refrain from crying. But he soon finds enough strength to face his deceased wife once more and plants a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I love you, Umah… and I always will", he continued, turning his head to his left and resumes holding onto his daughter with both of his hand-paws. Then within a matter of minutes, the saddened vulpin and the other attendees make it towards their designated vehicles, setting their sights for the Cemetery near Ziegsturhl.

When they get outside, drops of sprinkles began to fall from the sky, causing many of the attendees to grab an umbrella or use their bags to cover themselves. But just as the pallbearers began carrying the casket towards the Cadillac Hearse, the gentle sprinkles turn into rain that began pouring down upon them heavily. They rush towards the Hearse and place the casket at the back of the car and enter hastily, placing the keys into the ignition and starting the car. The driver presses onto the gas and drives towards the Cemetery carefully as the others began following from behind.

Upon arrival to the Cemetery some twenty to thirty minutes later, due to traffic, slow driving, and wet roads, the funeral attendees park their vehicles on parts of the walkway while a few park theirs near the entrance of the graveyard. However, Travas manages to park the hover bike near the tent where the casket was being placed. He gently grabs his daughter out of the side seat and walks towards the tent, managing to grab a seat in front of the casket along with the other vampires. And within the next moment, the bishop walks towards the small stage behind the casket and opens his bible, reciting a final prayer for the deceased vampire as the others bow their heads down with him.

Once the prayer was finished, the pallbearers pick the casket up from the sides and take it to an open grave just next to an oak tree. The others began to follow them as the pallbearers start making preparations to bury the casket into the ground. When the casket was placed on top of the ropes, the bishop arrives and opens his book to the burial prayer, repeating it word for word as the pallbearers began to lower it into the grave. All Travas could do now was watch and hold onto his daughter as they lower his former wife's coffin down into her final resting place. Once the coffin was at the very bottom, everyone but Travas and his daughter in his hand-paws leaves the grave, allowing the vulpin to gently place a white rose down on the top of her coffin.

"Rest in peace, my love… and Godspeed", Travas spoke softly, standing back onto his feet-paws and begins walking back towards the hover bike with his daughter sleeping peacefully in his arms. The vulpin quietly and gently places the infant vixen into the modified seat in the side car for the hover bike. He turns the ignition on and drives towards the Cemetery exit, following the other vampires, Amy, and the Broderick family back towards the citadel while the others return to their homes within Meridian.

After about a twenty minute drive that felt like an hour to the vampires and the Broderick family, they manage to arrive to the Citadel and enter before the Underground Chamber. After they park their vehicles, they began walking upstairs and towards the Main Chambers, entering as Travas sits at the rocking chair near the balcony. But despite the funeral being over, Johnny, Alexia, Amy, and Janos walk towards the saddened vulpin as he continues to rock the child in his arms gently.

"Travas… are you okay", Johnny asked, placing his hand-paw onto his friend's shoulder as Travas closes his eyes.

"No… I'm not", Travas answered while shaking his head at the same time. But then he recovers, reopens his eyes, and softly smiles towards his kithood friend. "But I will be…" he continued, turning to face his sleeping infant daughter in his arms.

"By the way… I do not mean to intrude what you are doing, but it has been a week since the birth of your daughter. Have you thought of a name for the child yet", Janos asked.

"Yeah… tell us", Amy and Alexia spoke with agreement, causing the vulpin to chuckle softly in response.

"Actually, it was a name that Umah and I came up with sometime after our wedding several months ago in case we were gonna have a baby girl. I know I should've told you last week, but I was still struck by the death of my wife…" Travas replied. "And it was one that was influenced from the place where Umah and I first kissed", he admitted, blushing briefly before tilting his head towards his now awakening infant child. "I know I'm a bit late on this… but welcome to Nosgoth… and to this world, Serenity", the vulpin spoke softly, kissing his daughter's forehead before turning to face the balcony outside. All he could do in that moment was look upon the eastern horizon, lost in thought of what the future would hold for him and his daughter… or how he would cope with a future without his wife there on his side.

A/N:

It appears Nexus has been defeated by the hands of Travas... but with an unfortunate cost. Umah has been killed from an excessive amount of blood-loss shortly after giving birth to her and Travas' daughter, Serenity (in which Umah and Travas decided to name her since they had a girl). But despite this, however, the vulpin was unsure of how he would be able to cope with the loss of his wife. And during the funeral, Kain unexpectedly appears and causes a bit of trouble with Travas (in which was later resolved after a brief argument between him and a few members of the Resistance). With Umah now gone, how would Travas be able to cope with the sudden loss? How would Serenity be able to grow up without her mother? Find out in the next Installment of 'Legacy of Travas'.
