Chapter 12: TOW A long awaited night
" Well abaut time you showed up... Please come in." I said and gave him a shy kiss
" Well abaut time that, you relized that there was nothing holding me home..." Dan said happily
" Well those two got their things straight. After all it's been 20 years for them but 1,5 hours in a locked room made our dating possible" I said
" What, you locked them up in same room? Have to say that you have even more guts than I ever thought possible, you're one hell of a girl" Dan said giving me passionate look.
" Well sometimes you have to use extreme ways in extreme cases. Like this one." I said
" Look at those two they look like they could stare at eachother the entire night, ehm but we still would appreciate some introductions, after all it's your first boyfriend..." I heard from behind, there they were: both my parents it was now or never.
" Well Daniel say hello to my parents Ross and Rachel..." I said without thinking any further
" Well hello Dr and mrs Geller it's a pleasure have been waiting for this, Name is Daniel Waltham, I know that you have your worries abaut your daughter but I'll do everything in my power to protect and respect her." Dan said offering his hand
" Well that's good to hear just keep that promise in mind and you two will do just fine, I don't think we need second nasty divorce between these two families don't you guys agree" My mom looked at me
" You're absolutely right on that one but remember we are just teenagers we have a long way to go before we are anywhere near where you guys are... Lot can still happen. But que sera sera, what will be, will be." I said
" From the looks of it you are on a good start but why don't you guys come inside." My dad said
" Why don't you guys give us a little history lesson before everyone arrives how did you meet how did you guys ended up dating and so on" My mom said trying to be all innocent
" Mom you know pretty much everything there is to know and we're gonna give the rest of the history when rest of the gang arrives dont wanna tell this a thousand times you know..." I said
" What does she mean Rach? You know everything allready how's that possible and how long have you known?" Dad asked with confusion
" Well it kind of means that I have maybe known from the start of their relationship" Mom said nervously
" How is that possible and why haven't you told me?" Dad asked
" That's good guestion and we will get answer to that tonight, but let's wait for others to get here..." I said saving mom.
" Trust me, I think Emma has better understanding than anyone for what has happend in last month but I think even she doesn't know everything yet... I think it's best to get the whole story together before we start to guess." Dan said
" Fine, I guess"
" Don't be like that everything will be explained. It's just that everyone of us knows peaces of the story now we need to know whole story..." I said
Hour went by we talked a lot abaut just abaut everything, but last month I learned a lot abaut Daniel and Emily and learned abaut also the full history of my dad and Emily once again. after an hour others startted to arrive Monica, Chandler and the kids were first ones to come. Decided to toy them a little
" Oh hi Monica, how's my favorite aunt doing today?" I asked
" Just fine, can't say same for you though you are gonna be having a third degree interrogation abaut your boyfriend by your parents, you may wanna tell them abaut him yourself, I'm a reasonable woman so I will give you a chance for that..." Monica said
" Oh no! How do you know abaut my secret boyfriend? What will I do now? I wasn't prepeared for that..." I startted to act like panic Jack and Erica watched me weirdly...
" I would just tell them if I were you. How do I know well that's for me to know and for you to find out." Monica said with a satisfied look on her face.
" Maybe I will, but come inside please."
" Okay what was that all abaut? You have told you your parents right?" Jack asked me
" Yeah I have but had to have a little fun with her, nothing wrong with that right? Has she talked anything abaut your relationship?" I asked curiously
" No she hasn't I guess she wants to make this big reveal abaut everything... So where is Dan and I assume that Emily is here too?" Jack said
"Well this has been going just abaut a good as I hoped so far... Too bad for her that my mom knew abaut both relationships before her..." Emily and Dan are in the kitchen... Remind me to tell you guys at somepoint what I had to do to get my mom to talk with Emily. I said
" Is Alex here yet? Can't wait for to be able to be together without any secrecy" Jack said
" Girls haven't arrived just yet, they should be here any second now... Well someone is eager to get this over with"
" Well maybe we should get inside before anyone gets suspicious, hey dont worry bro you'll get your love tonight don't worry abaut it." Erica said Comforting him
" Just can't wait that's all" Jack said
" Well someone is getting anxious to get this over with, it has been way too long hasn't is, my love?" we heard just abaut when we were gonna leave there she was Alex
" God your even more beatiful than I remembered, you bet I want to get this over with it's been going on for far too long" Jack said giving her a little kiss
" What 2 weeks and all I get is a shy kiss on a cheek come here you..." Alex grabed him in to a deep kiss just when Monica and Chandler came back to look what took us so long...
" Well I guess that's one way of telling us..." Monica said
" Wow god I've missed this..." Jack said without noticing his parents
" Um, guys you may wanna hold on for just a moment and do introductions" I said
" Well seems like there is more than one secret couple reveal tonight, but why don't we go to living room Ross and Rachel are waiting" Monica said with that same smile on her face
Everyone settled down. I knew that it best if I went first, to get rid of some of the tension that was in the air
" I'll take the first move since this will take the least amount of time becouse my parents allready know abaut my relationship why don't you guys come out Dan and Emily to say hello" I said turning my face in to a wicked smile
" You little... How did you know?" Monica asked
" Monica I have told you a thousand times allready don't underestimate my daughter and don't insult her either" My mom steped up as
" But I told none that I knew..." Monica startted
" Actually that's excactly where you're wrong you told one person who told one other person who told me, that's all it took." I said
" Wait I did talk with Carol abaut this, but she didn't tell you this now did she?" Monica asked
" But she got curious and asked abaut it one other person who asked abaut it from me wanna guess who the other person was?" I asked
" Wait she told Ben didn't she? You got lucky young lady." Monica said and at that moment doorbell rang It was Jessica and Melissa
" Except it didn't have anything to do with luck you should have known that Ben allways has Emmas back, you should know it allready" Jes said
" It was lucky lets not deny that but luck allways goes to those who deserve it. But most important thing for me is that I'm where I want to be, speaking of which shouldn't you tease your own son instead of me judging from earlier they are pretty eager to get this night over with" I said wanting to get off the interrogation
" Just don't forget this night is far from over for you. I want to know everything" Monica said
" Oh believe me this night is just begining... You have no idea where have you stepped in" I said
" What does she mean by that?" Monica turned to Alex and Jes
" No idea, becouse I've lost my place at what she knows abaut a month ago, so I will just roll with it for now" Alex said
" Well how abaut those introductions seems that there was even more to be made than I thought" Chandler said
" Well I guess... My full name is Alexandra Maria Walter but as you may know most people know me as Alex. I'm techno nerd these girls keep me as a somesort of computer god or wiz but I know even though I know a lot I still have a lot to learn. But I love your son and would want to go out with him in the future also" Alex said
" Well I think we can help you date, one thing I wonder though. Where the heck did you find the balls to ask her out?"
" Hey dad not everyone is a coward..." Jack startted
" yeah well if it depended on you we still wouldn't be dating..." Alex said
" So you think that mumbling would have been enough? I barely understood that you even wanted to ask me out."
" Hey but without it, you wouldn't have found the gourage to ask me out you saw that I had a crush on you so your job was easy just say it so I can understand, I took the chance of you saying no" Alex said
" Fine I don't wanna fight you, not tonight. I guess we can say that Emma is the biggest reason why we are together. After all she was the one who talked you into asking me out..." Jack said offering a compromise.
" Fine, I don't wanna fight either tonight is abaut us and announcing our relationship." Alex said
They continued talking and asking when Melissa asked me aside. To be honest I had noticed that Jes wasn't excactly being herself so I decided hear Melissa out
" So I've noticed Jes acting kinda strange today, so what's up? Troubles in the paradise?" I asked worrying
" To be honest I was hoping you could tell me... You know I have wanted to do this same thing you guys are doing now for weeks now she seems to be coming up with excuses. I want her, don't get me wrong but I would want to meet her mother. After you guys she seems to mean everything to her." Melissa startted
" Well she said that she's not gonna hide so I think it could be time for her to prove it. Are you ready to meet her mom if she can come here right now?" I asked pretty much taking my phone out allready.
" Well your not wasting anytime as I said I have wanted to do this for long time and I guess there is no better day than today lets add one more couple to the mix. Too bad my mom can't come, wait btw why isn't Alexs mom and dad here?" Melissa asked
" Well Alexs dad had to work and her mom had some business trip too bad I agree. It's better cach her by surprise so if your ready, I'll call her right now" I said
" You don't have to ask me that just go for it..." Melissa said
" Hi Emma it's Kate is everything allright Jessica said that she would come to your place for something?" Jessicas mom answered sounding somewhat worried
" Yeah everything is just abaut as right as it can be we were wondering could you stop by here Jessica has something for you and it's somewhat urgent." I said
" Yeah of course I can stop by have nothing better to do at the moment. Is that mystery date there and she wants you guys to be there when I meet him, well fine by me, I'll be there in twenty minutes"
" Sure, see you then, bye" I said ending call
" So?" Melissa asked inpatiently
" She knows that she's dating I'm not sure that does she know that you're a girl. She spoke of a guy but it might have been a mistake..." I said
" Well we shall see abaut that. So she is coming she wasn't at some workthing?" Melisa asked
" She said that she doesn't have anything better to do so she will come without question. So you were right it was just an excuse... Is she really this scared?" I said
" She hasn't shown any fear after she told you, but I guess closing of the closet is a little harder than I remembered"
" Well we shall see how much fear there is left in abaut 10 minutes" I said
" Should we go back, she might get suspicious if we stay longer?"
" Point made, lets go back"
We got out there was Dan waiting for us with a weird look
" Okay what are you two up to you've been there like almost 20 minutes" Dan asked us
" Well planing to add one more couple to the mix. Appearently Jes hasn't told her mom that she dating a girl so we decided to offer a helping hand for her. Everything okay with Jack and Alex?" Melissa asked
" Seems that way, they are laughing and talking there. So Jes is still a little on the closets side well good luck to you guys, I'm sure she just needs a little push and she will come out of it also for her mother too..." Dan said
" We know she will. By the way what's that look on you? Something on your mind?" I asked noticing that there might be something going on
" Well I was just wondering that since we're on the public side, would you like to have a date, you know just between the two of us movie maybe some food. " Dan looked just abaut as nervous as he was when he wanted to ask me out first time"
" Why are you so nervous of asking me out? You're my boyfriend after all and to answer your question of course I will go out with you just the two of us no reason to go in the group anymore." I said
" You didn't realize it now did you? I guess some things go even past you. This was actually the first time that I'm asking you out it has allways been you untill now... Thought it would be nice change for me to ask you out."
" Well how abaut this for a change, you plan the whole date. What we watch, where do we eat and so on... I wanna see what you can do to surprise me. The romantic side of you, if you will. Just check that I'm okay with the time and date and I'll be there." I said
" Wait you're serious aren't you? Fine by me, just surprised that you would give so much power to me. I thought you want to be on top of everything" Dan said confused
" You know Dan this last month has taught me a lot. I can't be on top of everything becouse you never know what you might happen. I need to learn to give people chances to surprise me. So show me what you got. Remember I'm waiting this time it's your move." I said
" You know, everytime that I think, that I have you all figured out you come out with some way to surprise me. You never cease to amaze me you know that Emma?"
" It's not my style to be predictable, I hope you're neither. I'm seriously looking forward to this, but please don't take any preasure of it, company comes first, everything else long after that."
" By the way Emma do you notice something?" Dan asked
" What's that?"
" Well isn't someone missing here and weren't you supposed to be doing something to certain couple?" Dan said pointing out that a lot of time had passed and Melissa had disapeared
" Wait oh no Melissa and Jes I didn't notice the time. Jes' mom have probably allready arrived."
" She has arrived and they have talked abaut half hour now, Emma, Jes doesn't need your help on this one you have done everything you can for them, now you have to let those two do the rest, that's why Melissa asked me to hold you back. This is a good lesson for both of you. Jes needs to learn to trust her girlfriend more in the things like this and you need to learn that there are infact things that you cant help her with." Dan said
" I know that, it's just that we have allways been there for eachother for anything and everything for last ten years. It's not that easy to just let go..." I said little sad
" She still needs you, but you need to remember that just like you have a boyfriend now, she has a girlfriend and she needs to learn to trust her just like you trust me."
" I guess everything has just changed so fast that I haven't kept up..." I said
Half hour earlier Jessicas POV
I was just looking out of the window since everyone else seemed to be somewhere and I thought abaut my situation, I was practically out of the closet but still I had not told my mom yet. I knew that Melissa was eager to meet her. And to be honest I wanted to tell her but something was still holding me back not sure what though. Fear struck me harder than ever before I saw my mom out side coming this way... On top of that I saw Melissa coming from upstairs without Emma.
" Well wow what's up with you? You look like you've seen a ghost to be honest..." Melissa said trying to act like she knew nothing abaut it...
" I think that this "ghost" is your doing, am I right? But yeah my mom seems to be coming here. And no I haven't told her yet that I'm dating a girl... I guess you want to meet her and tell abaut us? Like I have a choice..." I asked trying to calm myself down
" Well technically this was Emmas doing, but my idea yeah. Hey I want you if you can do this now I will forgive you this and I'm here to help. Trust me, please. I know what you're going through remember it hasn't been a year yet since I was where you are right now and I know you don't wanna be there any longer." Melissa said giving me a slight kiss
" Fine, lets just get this over with goes well with theme with the other girls too." I said trying to joke
" Well that's the spirit, just relax, everything is going to be fine..." Melissa said as doorbell rang
" Oh hi Kate, didn't know that you were coming here tonight too." I heard Rachel saying to my mom
" Oh Emma didn't tell you that I was coming? She said that Jessica had something for me and said it was somewhat urgent even. Can I come in?" My mom answered
" Well of course please, I'll go get Emma, maybe she can tell us what's going on."
" No need for that, we will take it from here, thank you mrs Geller" Melissa said
" I have no clue what's going on anymore but fine as long as someone tells me what the hell is going on here at somepoint" Rachel said confused
" Everything will be explained but I have to explain it to my mom first and as Melissa said no need for Emma right now." I said and Melissa looked at me somewhat surprised that I didn't call for my usual back up but I know that this is what she wants too
" So girls what's going on?" My mom asked
" Well... You know how I told you that I'm dating someone" I startted
" Of course I've been wondering when I'm gonna meet the guy. Is he here tonight?" My mom asked
" I don't know have you chose not to hear or have you just not thought abaut it but I haven't been talking abaut "he" once becouse I don't want to lie to you, you know that right?. I've talked abaut person or maybe even slipped couple shes in there" I said
" What are you trying to say Jessica? Do you mean that you're in love with a girl?" My mom startted to smile
" That's exactly what I'm trying to say and well you know Melissa here right?"
" Of course nice to meet you again, but wait I thought that you guys hate eachother from the heart"
" You too . You know wise girl once taught us that there is just a thin line between love and hate. We took the leap over that line" Melissa said
" Please call me Kate and it's miss anyways. You know hate to break it to you girls but I've known this for a while now." My mom said
" How, did Emma tell you? God I'm gonna thank and then hang that girl..." I said
" No, actually I saw you guys abaut a month ago talking and then kissing..."
" Wait so you've known from the begining? Why haven't you said anyting?" I asked
" Something told me that you would tell when you're ready. I didn't want to force you out of the closet. By the way why did you suspect Emma I don't think she would force you out either..." My mom began and me and Melissa startted laughing
" Trust me when I say that you've got no idea what she has done over this last month. Do you really think I asked her to call you tonight? She's not as innocent as she seems" I said
" Well you're not excacly a saint either you know..." I heard a familiar voice coming down the stairs: Emma and Dan
" Well I know, but I don't pretend to be either" I said
" Are gonna be okay with this?" I turned to my mom
" Just give me time and I will be, it's gonna be weird for now, but you know that your happines means everything to me, right? So don't let me stop you" My mom said
" Thanks mom you're the best, why don't you join us in the living room I think you need to know the whole story as well" I said
Well that was longer chapter than I thought it would be and this saga is not even ready yet next time we finish it with TOW truth abaut the double date
