Chapter 15: The one with diffrent kind of dates part 1
" Mom it's gonna go fine, don't worry abaut it so much. Just go I'll be fine..." I said
" So are we fine? I mean, I noticed you were pretty pissed off yesterday." Mom asked
" I was to be honest, but lets just say that with the deal we have I can delay my date for a week, don't worry abaut it we will be fine. This came just at such a time, that I thought you might try to piss me off, but I know better than that."
" I wouldn't do that, I might never be bestfriends with Emily, but I won't stop you dating her son becouse of that either. By the way are you planning having anyone over maybe help you?" Mom asked with some curiousity
" No not at all Alex is going to Monicas and Jes has a date with Melissa so I guess I'm on my own with this, but don't worry I will survive I've done this before you know. I call if anythimg comes up." I said
" Well not quite what I had in mind, but just so you know, I don't mind if you're not alone when I come back. Consider it as a repay for having to do this in such a short notice on a date night... I guess you're a smart girl you'll figure it out..." Mom said clearly trying to say something.
" Since when have you been this cryptic? Well fine I'll keep it in mind... But I don't think I will have anyone over... " I said and startted to wonder what the heck does she mean.
"Since when have you not been able to take obvious clues? Well fine if you don't figure it out, I can see if one other person can, I hope you can appreciate this afterwards. Try having fun with this I'll leave you some money so you can order something in, but I'll be leaving now. Love you bye..." Mom said
" Love you too bye" I said back little annoyed
Hour went by and surprisingly I had pretty fun. We have been close and he allways seemed to take me as the big sister who he looks up to. Not underestimate Bella but she's nowhere near as good with him as I am. He seemed to notice that something was wrong with me...
" Why big sister is so sad?" I heard a small voice
" Hey don't you worry abaut it... It's nothing that can't be fixed, besides you need me right now so I'm here for you. " I said, wanted not to worry him after all, there will be other dates.
" When Daniel gets here? I want him to play with me..." He said and It hit me right there of course that's what mom thought. I was too focused on my canceled date to realize that there was good chance to take it back right now. Apearently mom had allready prepeared Jake for it too. At that moment doorbell rang...
" I think that right now..." I said trying to keep my cool
" Yeyyyyyy" Jake ran to door
" Take it easy Jake, his my boyfriend. You don't want to freak him out" I said as I walked to door
" Well, hello there what are you doing here?" I decided to play as dumb as I was minutes ago
" He came to play with us, we're gonna have so much fun tonight." Jake yelled
" Why don't you go to continue without us for a little while? We will join you soon, I promise..." I said wanting to talk with him little before going with Jake
" Okay" He said and ran to upstairs
" Well it's good to see that atleast someone is eager to see me... I expected it to be my girlfriend though." Dan said clearly trying to tease me
" Well apearently my mom told him that you're coming without mentioning me abaut it and yeah I know I should have called you and realize what an opportunity we have here. But I'm just abaut as glad as he is inside that you're here and here is a little proof of it" I gave him a deep kiss
" Hmm... Okay I believe you, but I think I may need a little reassuring, but that can wait untill we get that one guy to sleep, thankfully if he uses energy with that phase it won't take long... hopefully"
" I don't know what my mom has promised him but she got him exited... I think faster we start with him faster we get him to bed. By the way what's with the bags?" I asked trying to look into them
" Lets not get ahead of our selfs this was suppose to be date by my plan, right? and the night is still young... I know this wasn't excactly what I planed but, if you want, I'll still give you a night to remember but that means that contains of these bags will stay secret for now..." Dan said teasingly
" So you basicly want to continue teasing me... Fine I'm game, I'll go by your rules. but first I think we still have work to do. I think there is someone eager to play with you and I'm not talking abaut myself at the moment..." I said accepting my own terms for this date this was my idea, so I had to go with it
" Well why don't you go upstairs with your brother I'll be right with you, I just put these away, okay?" Dan said kissing me on a cheek
" Well don't take too long..."
" What made you so happy to see my boyfriend Jake?" I asked out of pure curiosity
" Mom said he would play with me..."
" And why am I not enough, like before?"
" You're a girl..."
" Oh you are exited to get a guy to play with you, well fine I guess you don't need me then..."
" I think he means that he doesn't have guys as guests that often and he would like to have someone over that understands how he thinks... I can never replace his sister." Dan said from the door
" Daniel" Jake screamed for a moment there I thought I might need earplugs to get throught night
" I'm here little buddy but do me a favor, won't you? All the big boys call me Dan, can you do that?" Dan said coming over to Jake
" Okay, I'm a big boy Dan. " Jake said clearly trying to calm himself down
" Why don't you tell us what you want to do and what has mom promised you? I know you're exited and we are both here just for you." I said wanting to know if there was more to this
" Eye on you. I want to play with you." Jake said
" She wants to keep eye on us? Well I guess that was expected..." Dan said
" You behave..."
" Behave" do you mean that she doesn't trust us, did that joke of mine hit her that hard? I guess, I have no choice I have talk to my mom abaut this whole issue tomorrow." I said sighing
" Well we weren't gonna do anything anyways so Jake you can rest easy, we are gonna behave, okay?" Dan said
" Okay, games?" Jake asked
" Well fine but I have something for you first just so you remember me better..." Dan said taking out couple toy cars
" I guess you've talked with my mom a little more than I thought... I wonder what else you have in store..." I said knowing that was a easy way to get some love from Jake, he just loves toy cars over everything.
" That's for me to know and you to find out... But I think this guy wants to play with us first" Dan said with continuing teasing me
" Why are you so mean to big sister?" Jake said trying to defend me
" No need for that Jake he's just planing a surprise for me later. His not mean he just want's me to be happy. Create some exitment and for that he has done exelent job." I said smiling towards both of them.
" You see Jake your sister asked me to surprise her and I promised to do that, you know that you should never break a promise, right?" Dan said explaining the whole thing
" So it's a good thing?" Jake asked
" Well I hope atleast your sister likes it, but it should definetly be a good thing. And what I heard your sister has something up her sleeve as well..." Dan said trying to sound nervous, I knew that talking with my mom has probably given him a good direction.
" We will have to wait and see... So how abaut those games now that you wanted?" I asked
We played just abaut everything from hide and seek to memory match for hours. I startted realize that Jake was getting seriously tired.
" So how abaut we call it a night you seem to be bit tired... Do you want me to read you a story?" I asked
" Dan read me..." Jake said
" I still have some work to do for that surprise for your sister, but I guess a short story why not, your sister can take over afterwards..."
" Or how abaut if I start and Dan will come to continue when he's ready... We will both be here reading so I don't get spoiled on surprise." I winked at Dan
" Promise to read Dan..."Jake said
" Of course I'll promise, I have some work to do before that but afterwards I'll be there as soon as I can..." Dan said and Jake noded
" Why don't you go to change pyjamas and I'll be with you in a second?" I asked wanting to talk with Dan first. Jake went to his room
" So what are you planning now?" Dan asked noticing that I clearly had a plan
" He won't be able to take 2 stories when he's that tired. So I'll read now if he asks, you can read him in the morning, right?"
" Of course this has been fun, say good night to him for me, when he falls asleep, okay?"
" Of course, I trust you come to pick me up when everything is ready?" I said getting exited
" Sure, but I think you better get the reading startted... See you later." Dan said. I went back to Jake Who had allready chosen a book to read
" Once upon time there was a kingdom far away..." I startted with a calm voice and as expected it didn't take more than abaut ten minutes before he was snoozing off. All the exitment had drained him so badly. I said good night from both of us and left.
I decided that this was the best time to upgrade my looks for a date, I still didn't know what to expect, but I knew that my outfit will blow him away. After abaut twenty minutes I heard a knock on my door
" Yeah come in" I said
" I have everything ready, are you..." He stopped and stared at me
" I was abaut to ask, how do I look, but I think that look on you tells me everything I need to know..." I said knowing that he likes it
" Wow, just... I don't know what to say I guess you weren't kidding when you said that you're gonna make me speechless... You look absoulutely stunning. I hope you're hungry, though." Dan said with mysterious voice
" Oh you've allready ordered something nice, I'm starving. What are we having?" I asked
" Well why don't you come down with me and find out? You played your cards and trust me I'm impressed, but I think it's my turn to show you what I can do..." Dan said offering his hand
" Well why don't you lead the way? I'm all yours." I took his hand
" As you wish, lets go then..." Dan said clearly getting exited himself
" Whoa what's the smell? It smells amazing here... What did you order?" I said noticing there was clearly food around here
" Who said I have ordered anything, you said that you wanted me to be unpredictable. Trust me I aim to please on that. So why don't we step in? Ladies first of course." He opened the door and it was my turn to be stunned
" Are you saying that you cooked this by yourself? Wow didn't see that coming... Well kinda did, but still didn't see this coming before tonight."
" I hope your mom didn't lie abaut how nuts you're abaut pasta bolognese... How abaut a little taste?" Dan asked smiling and offering me a fork
" Well she most certainly did not, lets see if it tastes half as good as it smells..." I said as he put the fork in my mouth.
" Any good?" He asked little nervous
" Perfect, I think that the exitment makes this even thousand times better, but this is the best pasta I've had in a long time. Why haven't you told that you can cook? Are you planning to becoming a chef maybe?" I startted wonder this guy had some serious talent when it came to cooking.
" Do you have any idea how hard it is to surprise you? I decided that I will show you at some point how good I am. Kept it as a ace in my sleeve if I needed to surprise you some time. Well I have thought abaut it, but I have no clear vision of the future just yet, but that's one possibility. I'm just so glad you like it..." He said with confidence
" Like it? I love it, just like I have loved everything on this evening. So any plans after food? And hey I have kept my eyes off any possible clues of what have you planned so don't worry, if we say it's by your rules then it's by your rules. How surprise me without my permission, I say turn to Jes and Alex they are your only hope if you want to do it..." I said knowing way too well that my curiousity will catch on to him if he doesn't have any back up
" Nothing major planned after this maybe something from netflix? Movie or something. By the way don't think for a second that I don't have dessert... It's good to know that you can keep your end of the deal if needed."
" Well sounds like a plan to me... Hey don't worry abaut it so much tonight we play with the cards we have. Some other night we can do this again and you can do something else, okay?"
" Well it's just that everything is so perfect I don't know if I can pull something like this off again on purpose... " Dan said sounding sad
" Hey this is our first date just the two of us it's been good, but I could have left my brother out of it or when time passes a little we could do a little more and so on there is allways room for improvement. I would say this date has been good but not perfect by any means..." I tried to comfort him
" It has been a pretty damn good date hasn't it? Now how abaut that dessert?" Dan said
" Don't tell me you've prepeared it yourself too... " I said in disbilief
" No I haven't, but I hope that fresh strawberries and some whipped cream will do just fine..." Dan said teassing
" You're kidding me right? Sounds perfect ending for this. You should be careful I might get use to this kind of treatment..."
" Well why don't you? I may not give you this kind of treatment everyday but point of this was to show you my romantic side, yes? You gave me a challenge and this was my answer to it... I'm not planning on letting you go, so I hope you're neither."
" After everything we have been through I can assure you that I'm not letting go easily either. This night has been even beyond all of my expectations. You can truly surprise me if you want to. It doesn't allways have to go as planned and it can still work ."
" I'm glad to hear that. Hey before we get to movie have you given any thought to Alex or Jes? Not trying to ruin the mood or anything just wondering"
" To be honest I haven't given either of them any thought tonight as I said I'm all yours tonight and besides I'm sure that they are doing just fine on their dates. I'm just hoping that Monica doesn't freak Alex out too badly..."
" Well had to ask I know how much those two mean to you..." Dan said clearly conserd
" Hey when we are on dates it's all for them selfs I don't expect them to think what we are doing either... I mean I'm gonna talk with Jes tomorrow and with both of them probably sunday when Alex gets back, but tonight I'm not giving any thoughts to anyone else exept you..." I said looking at him
" Well you're totally consentrated on this night I've seen it, but how abaut that movie then? What do you want to watch?" Dan asked
" Well this was a date on your plan, right? So don't back down now, your call nothing overly violent and I think we're fine. And besides I'm not sure how much are you gonna watch any movie if I'm next to you." I said teasing him
" Well do you want me to watch you rest of the night then? You kind of brought it on yourself by looking this damn good. Not that I'm complaining or anything just that I didn't see this coming either."
" Hey no reason to take it so seriously I'm just teasing you like you have been doing, I just use a bit diffrent ways than you do. I'm totally okay if you checking me out now and then but try watch the movie too, okay?" I said he nodded realizing my idea
We ended up watching decent comedy and he even managed to watch more movie than me. For what I understood night was a huge success I wanted to take it again at somepoint... Of course my mom had to come home just before movie ended...
" Oh your still awake. Have your night been any good?" Mom said looking at me clearly changing outfit
" Just finishing movie going to sleep right after that .Yeah well, I guess I owe you apology. But please enough teasing for one night okay. My boyfriend has done enough of it allready. Thanks mom for inviting him should have realized it myself that we could have the date here..." I said trying to calm myself
" Hey no need to rush, it's not a school night, so take it easy you deserve it. Are you sure that Dan is the only one who has been teasing someone tonight? Judging your outfit I would say you're quilty on that too, maybe even more than Dan is... " Mom said smiling
" Maybe I underestimated this outfit just a bit, but to be honest I have no complains abaut how this night has been going so far. I know that I'm teasing him probably even more than he did on me but still I don't need more from you. And don't worry nothing else than sleeping is gonna happen tonight..." I said knowing that there is gonna be "the talk" coming soon.
" I'm not gonna lecture you more than one thing, don't do it before you feel complitely comfortable abaut it, okay? I won't say you can't do it or tell the stories abaut birds and bees but I'm not willing to become grandmother just yet. I hope you get that..." Mom said
" Thanks and trust me I have no plans to become mother anytime soon either, but unfortinatly I'm a living proof that there isn't 100% effective birth control... I've learned a lot abaut my self during this last month and this was sort of a test run to see that do I feel comfortable wearing a little less and I can tell you that I do. But not tonight I'm way too tired and not wanting to do it and Dan agrees with me... Good to know that you're not against it, we will be careful, okay?"
" I trust you are but I think your boyfriend isn't done with you just yet..." Mom said pointing that Dan was standing on the door
" Did run to mommy?" Dan said teasing me
" Sorry abaut that just got stuck from my mouth with my mom, but don't worry if you go to wait I'll use my mouth for something better than talking with you when I'm done here..." I startted
" Well I think we are done here so I guess I leave you two alone for now... Let's talk more in the morning." Mom said and I nodded
We finished the movie and ended up sleeping in my room, but not doing anything else for now. In the morning my dad had allready too came back and had noticed that Dan had stayed over night... Next morning we decided to have talk with my parents...
But before that we need Alex's side of the story so we continue with part two of this.
