Season 1 finale part 4: The one with all the history
I woke up early becouse of my alarm clock which I had set for this morning for 9 I knew there was still couple things to do and I wanted to see that everything goes allright with my parents. They were sitting and drinking coffee at the table... Jake and Bella were with Monica since we didn't want any extra promblems
" Well you're up early, Good morning Emma. Ready for the big day?" Mom asked
" Well that's why I woke up early to see that everything goes smoothly from the start..." I said
" Well sit down then and grab a cup of coffee..." Mom began but the doorbell rang and mom went to open
" Hi girls come in, please" Mom said as the girls came in
" Well good morning to you two too, what brings you here this early? Everything should be just fine here..."
" Well we're hoping that Ms. Emma Geller would join us for a little walk..." Alex startted
" What's up with using my full name? Well okay, just a second I'll grab my bag and coat then we're good to go" I said and decided that those two knew what is going on and it wouldn't take too much time...
" Yeah well remember the thing that you talked abaut with your mom last night and you said that you could take the worst case scenario no matter what it is becouse you know that we had to help her? Well now it's time to prove that your woman of your word Ms. Geller" Jes said
" Okay fine I don't ask, but please could we atleast stay first name basis from now on this kinda freaks me out..." I said and girls startted laughing
" Emma, relax a bit won't you? Everything is allright, we're just messing with you. We just have something for you don't worry abaut it just come with us..." Alex startted
" Come with you to what? You know there are still couple things I need to do here..."
" That's exactly why we came to get you. Emma your mom asked us to take charge of this day. She realized that you've stressed over the last couple months, much more than she thought. She asked us to give you a relaxing day, you know we can handle your parents thing just as well as you do and you can particepate for that one part just as planned, but otherwise we don't let you do anything from now on." Jes said looking at me
" But..." I startted but got cut off
" No buts Emma, we won't take a no as an answer and to make sure of that hand over your phone, now" Alex said to me I looked them thinking are these guys for real?
" Emma we're not joking. Hand it over I don't wanna take it by force and you know that" Jes added
" I'm guessing that I don't really have a choice... Well fine take it. I hope you know what you're doing..."
" Emma believe us we have planned this day with you as long as you have planned it, you have nothing to be worried abaut..."
" Well fine so where are we going?" I asked realizing that there is no talking myself out of this..
" Well first stop is to get your hair and make up, up to speed. We heard what you promised to your boyfriend and we will help you to make sure that you can keep that promise..." Alex said winking at me
We got to the salon and got in there was young woman waiting for us...
" Yes can I help you girls?" woman behind the desk asked
" Yes this girl has a reservation under Geller." Jes said
"Of course this way " Woman said
" Please call me Emma" I said as allways
Time went by and I got my hair cut a bit, but more importantly I seriously startted to relax. I felt better than in seriously long time everything seemed to be right for once. Girl who had been working on my hair seemed to be done
" All done ´how do you like it?"
" Wow I had forgotten how good short hair looks on me or what do you think girls think do you think that Dan will like it?" I asked assuming that Jes and Alex are still in the building
" I think it looks good on you, but you should know by now that in my eyes you would look good no matter what..." I heard Dans voice
" So change of company I see, nice to see you too" I said getting up from the chair
" Well you should know that they had some things they needed to do for your parents and from what I heard our part is still kinda far away so we can do couple things before that..." Dan said
" Well what did you have in mind before that?"
" Well a lunch but before that I had something to do for both of us..." Dan said kissing me
" Let me guess you're not gonna tell what, before we get there..." I realizing the sound of him
" Well you're as smart as ever, but don't worry Emma it's not gonna take long for us to get there..."
" I have liked every surprise you've thrown at me so far, I trust that you have something nice"
" Well this is the first time that I've done something I'm not sure how much are you gonna like"
" So taking chances, I like that. If we do it together I know that it can't be all bad since you're doing it with me..."
" I like your attitude, well look at that we're here."
" We're where? What is this place?"
" Well you remember how you've talked abaut dancing at your parents anniversery" Dan asked and I got little freaked out
" Y-yeah?"
" Well my mother thought that we might need a little practice and to be honest I think she's right. So shall we? Ladies first, of course."
" You're nuts, but I think you're right, we need practice, besides this could be fun and I don't want you steping on my toes whole night... So let's do this." I said as we went inside
" Well nice to see some younger couples too here, it's quite rare nowdays. Emma and Daniel am I right?" Woman asked from us
" Yeah that's us. " Dan said
" Well please come in, you're a little early but no worries. Let's get to know eachother a little better to break the ice so do speak. So I begin I'm Maria I'll be your dance teacher for today."
" Well this is Emma and I'm Daniel as you know, we've been going out for almost 3 months now. It's Emmas parents tenth year anniversery and she want's to dance, so my mother decided that we needed a little practice" Daniel startted
" Well that's nice of both you. So Emma why don't you tell abaut how your relationship startted? Would be nice to hear how two of you got this close so quickly..." Maria startted
" Exactly how much are we early? Becouse no matter how much I shorten our story it will take some time... Basic version we met at the school and fell in love pretty much instantly" I tried to get us out of this conversation as fast as possible
" Well we have some time how abaut a¨little longer version looking your face tells me there is much more to this story than this. So humor me, I promise you'll get what you came here for..." Maria asked
I gave her a little longer version which lasted abaut ten minutes have to say I have never seen a face like that she seemed amazed
" So wait just a second your parents have been married? And your father said your mothers name at the altar? And yet they let you two date? Well this is one love story to go to the history books if you guys stay together... If this was in some soap opera I think people would think this would be nuts." Maria said clearly in disbilief.
" Trust me that's what I thought at first but sometimes you just have to belive that everything will go smoothly in the end and it did"
" Well it's nice to see that you guys survived how abaut we start the thing you came here for we have some work a head of us..." Maria said and we startted...
We danced for half an hour and Dan seemed to get hang of it much more easily than I did. I felt like nothing went as I wanted it to go. Dan seemed like he got an idea, Maria stoped us...
" How abaut we take a little break, Emma relax you'll get it I promise." Maria tried to comfort me
" Before anniversery? I highly doubt that..." I said
" Can I talk to my girlfriend alone? I think I might have something that could help..." Dan said
" Of course let's take that break I will be back in ten so try toget trough her..."
" This is just hopeless, I'm never gonna get this..." I said pretty much in panic
" You know as well as I do that, that's not true. Just look at me, do you trust me?" Dan asked from me
" Of course, but I don't see..." I startted but got cut off
" Then stop panicing and listen to me, okay?" Dan said and I nodded
" Take a deep breath, close your eyes and forget everything that has happend over the last few months or what is going to happen just for second." Dan said
" Okay" I said as I took a deep breath and tried to relax
" Now just let the music lead you, I know you can do this. You have great sense of rythm..." Dan said as he put the music on and came to me
" Wait what in the...? Am I seriously doing this or am I imagining things?" I asked in disbielief
" Emma I told you when you panic you don't think straight. I knew you can do this and do you notice something you actually lead me at the moment I just follow..." Dan said
" I don't know should I be scared or impressed abaut how well you know me..." I said as the song ended
" You learn a thing or two when you spend time as much together as we have, I noticed on the day that you called abaut your mother finding out abaut us, you clearly weren't thinking straight otherwise you would have seen through my moms obvious lies... Emma I hate to say this to you but your not as clever as you think you are. When people learn to see through you they turn your greatest strenght to your greatest weakness..."
" I've never thought it like that. But it's true you're making sense now. Well glad you told this maybe I can do something abaut it..." I said pretty happily and noticed that Maria was standing at the door.
" Well from the looks of things I would say that you two have made atleast some progress..." Maria said
" Well should we show her?" I asked
" Well someone atleast got their confidence back, well show me. I can see it in your eyes Emma that you've got it but show me"
We danced couple songs and she gave us couple hints how we can still improve. We got out of there just in time for the lunch...
" So what did you have in mind for lunch?" I asked curiously knowing that he probably had some idea
" Actually we are going have lunch only after we´re done with your parents..." Dan said
"But there is still some time if they have gone even close to my schelude." I startted to wonder what he had in mind
" That would be true, if you were still in charge for this, but as you know you aren't I added one thing for us to do with them so we join them at one stop earlier than you planned..." Dan said as I startted to think what was the thing before my part
" Wait do you mean that we have something to do at the travel agency? Well this is getting intresting then..." I said
" Well I'm glad to hear that you think that way... Well let's just say that I've something special planned for my birthday and I was hoping that you would join me. Of course I'm not forcing you to come especially knowing your familys history with the place..." Dan startted I realized what he had in mind just as we arrived at the travel agency where my parents were waiting for us.
" Wait are you saying that if I want to spend your birhtday with you, I'll have to come to London?"
" Don't worry Emma we're gonna be there as well." I heard my moms voice
" I didn't think you guys would be that suicidal, it's risky enough that I will go there."
" That's exactly why we're coming there, you can't go alone in case anything happens we'll be there for you. You've proven lately that you can take care of yourself, we won't interfear or show up if not nececeary. You guys can have your days alone just like we're gonna. But as Daniel said, it's really up to you" Dad said to me
" Well I guess I don't really have a choice, there is no way I'll miss my boyfriends birthday, if I can help it."
" That's the Emma I know and love" Dan said and kissed me
" You do realize that there is a good chance that someone will regocnize you?" Mom asked me
" Hey in love there is allways a chance and I don't wanna worry abaut this today, today is abaut you two, so have you had any fun so far?" I asked changing the subject
" Totally this has been amazing Emma. I didn't even know that you cared this much" Dad said
" Hey, I know that I have been just a bit selfhish lately, but it doesn't mean that I've stopped caring abaut you two, you're as important to me as ever. Don't you dare think otherwise " I said
" So where are we going next we haven't gotten any clues abaut it, I assume that you're the one supposed to give it to us..." Mom said
" How abaut this, we're going where it all startted..." I began but got cut off
" Do you mean our old apparpment? Why there?" Dad asked cutting me off
" Dad you're thinking abaut 8 years ahead of me I don't count that as the start of your relationship thats where your relationship returned from the break" I said as my mom gave me a your dead tomorrow look. As we went to the limo
" Speaking of you wanting get yourself grounded by saying stupid things, that you know aren't true no matter how much your father says that they are. I realized that your dating now..." Mom said öl
"Wow you allready realized that I'm dating appearntly I should have hidden on your sight, but I didn't that it would be this is easy." I said sarcasticly
" Yeah sarcastic comments aside you promised to settle something, but only after you start to date yourself..." Mom said but got cut off by my dad
" Hey it's not fair. she's not neutral anymore to answer that question. Without knowing the full situation its impossible to understand it if your dating but not seen the situation" Dad said
" Hey how abaut I give a second opinion to the thing if you guys tell the story." Dan said
" Exept your girlfriend is killing you, if you answer wrong..." Mom said
" And on top of that you don't want meddle in that question trust me on that, neither of us is answering to that ever as dad said I'm not neutral on that question anymore." I said trying to get out of it
" Hey no way missy you promised and you've allways been a girl of your word, we're gonna tell the story, well both sides of it and then both of you are gonna answer one question is that clear? I want to get something good from your relationship." Mom said and began to tell her side of the story
" Wow and you think that you guys really were on a break and you can sleep with a another girl just becouse of that?" Dan said to my dad
" Well I knew that this guy knows that we were not on a break" Mom said
" I think what Dan tried to say was that you guys were on a break, b..." I startted and my dad cut me off
" Hey I knew that my daughter is smart she knows what break means." Dad said interupting me
" I think that there was a but coming. Becouse I don't think that she would forgive Dan if he did the same." Mom said
" Thank you mom as I was saying you guys were on a break, but that didn't give you right to sleep with another girl two hours afterwards. I would have given you some mercy if you would have waited like a week or month or something. You know how short on temper mom can be sometimes. You should cooled of and just wait for the dust to settle..." I said
" My girlfriend actually makes sense as allways, from what I know Ross you should have known that Rachel isn't mad at you that long from the experience. Hey why don't we concentrate on more happier things like today, do you guys have any idea where should we be going?"
" I think you're right Daniel... If I quess central perk am I complitely off track?" Dad asked
" Well wasn't that where you two first kissed so I think that's where it began..." I said
" There is some way before we're there so what do you want to talk abaut?" My mom asked
" Well Emma has told a lot of stories abaut your history untill you guys got back together but how abaut telling me how did you propose? I've heard you actually proposed with a earing to my mom. I'm guessing you did it with a ring this time?" Dan asked
" Well I decided to propose to your mom on the spot I didn't plan it that much, but with Rachel I had to do something special since she's truly the love of my life. If Emma isn't tired of hearing these stories over and over again then why not" Dad said smiling at me
" You know dad that, that's one story I never get tired of no matter how many times you tell it, so please go right ahead." I said
*Flashback*
Rachels POV
Maybe if Bella didn't come so soon after we got back together I would have seen it coming. I was just visiting work and had left girls with Ross. I was talking with couple work friends and guy in black suit came to me,..
" Excuse me, I'm looking for Ms. Rachel Greene, where could I find her?" Guy asked
" You're looking for me, but I'm just visiting I'm on my maternity leave I can get someone else for you..." I startted but got cut off
" It's not like that, I have limousine waiting outside and I was told to pick you up from here."
" Told by who? Fine I'll come I guess I see you guys later" I said as we left
"By Dr. Ross Geller..." He said as we wemt to the limo and he opened the door and indeed Ross was there but no girls I was a little worried...
" Ross what the hell do you think you're doing? Where are the girls?" I asked pretty much in panic
" Calm down please Rach. Girls are with Monica, I planned you a little surprise I'm sorry, if I scared you but I wanted only to surprise you. Call Monica if that puts your mind in peace, but I tell you girls are in good hands."
" Okay but what's up with a limo and are you doing all this?"
" Hey it's year since you came back to my life when I thought that I lost you and Emma forever and on top of that came with a little surprise, that you didn't even know abaut. I think that's reason enough to celebrate and with style too." Ross said and I was sold I didn't care abaut reasons anymore
" So where are we going? I don't mean I would mind just driving arround with you in a limo but I assume we have destination..."
" Well how abaut home first and you would change to something a little nicer. I'm not saying that you look bad at the moment, just saying that you might want to get a little fancier..." Ross said I had nothing against it.
" I think I might have something just for this... Something I've been saving I'll be right back, okay?" I kissed him and went to home
I had one dress I had been wanting to use for the last eight years but now it felt the time that. I looked at my black dress I wasn't sure that it would fit, but it did. I felt more confident than ever. I went back to limo
" So what do you think will this do?" I asked pretty much knowing the answer
" Wow just wow, do I even have to say how good you look?" Ross asked me without even taking eyes of me
" Well wouldn't hurt, but you know what this shouldn't have been the first time you see me wear this dress..." I startted
" What do you mean?"
" This was what I planned wearing on our first anniversery, well before you know what happend..."
" You're seriously trying make me feel bad for what I did and trust me I do feel bad, but that's past... "
" Hey I know that I just wanted to wear this since I knew there is nothing that could break us up. Could we go eat somewhere I'm starving?" I asked
" As you wish well here we are..."
" Sorrentinos? Well another blast from the past the place where were supposed to go on the night we first time you know..."
" Yeah how abaut tonight we try not to get gaught by catholic school children" Ross said laughing
" Good day to you, do you have reservation?" Maitre'd asked us as we came to restaurant
" Yeah table for two under Geller" Ross said
" Of course, this way."
We got to the table and we ordered. Something seemed to get Ross all nervous and I guess at this point I should have seen this coming but somehow I managed to miss this thinking this. Now it makes me think how didn't I see it coming from a mile away... I decided to open up conversation.
" So Ross everything okay? You seem to be on your own planet time to time. Something you wish to tell me?" I startted
" Well actually I'm kinda nervous there are couple things I need to tell you..." Ross startted
" Okay..."
" Well first of all you remember that place we went see couple weeks back that you loved so much, but it was a little over our budget but we decided to make an offer anyways."
" Yeah, I guess we didn't get it, now did we?" I asked as Ross seemed wink to waiter
" Well actually we did get it. It's ours " Ross said as waiter came with two classes of something else, but I was so exited that I didn't pay attention to that
" Wait, are you serious? That's amazing, what's the other thing?"
" Well look in front of you..." Ross said as he came to me and went on one knee. I noticed a little black box in front of me
" Oh my god is that..." I startted but Ross put a finger on my lips
" Rachel... In all my life I have never loved anyone like I love you. There has been Carol, there has been Emily and so many others, but they all paled in comparison to you. I wished every night for seven years that I could take that one night back, I wished that I could wake up from that nightmare. When Emma came that gave me a climpse of hope, that maybe, just maybe we could get back together but destiny decided that it wasn't time. When you decided to go to Paris I almost gave up, but I decided that I will try one more time to get you back and I'm so happy that I did. Little afterwards you found out that you're pregnant again this time I wasn't even scared becouse I knew that this time we're gonna raise her together. You can believe that I have wanted to do this forever now. Rachel Karen Green, will you marry me?" Ross said taking the box from the table and opening it
" God I didn't expect this to happen this soon, but of course I will marry you." I said still stunned
" By god I'm so happy this has been an amazing day. How abaut dessert?"
" Of course."
*End of flashback*
Daniels POV
"Wow after faith teasing you for years you guys got the happy ending with everything you ever dreamed of..." I said wondering will we ever be half as happy as these guys are...
"Yeah well we have been just amazing after I got off the plane I haven't regreted for a single day that I stayed" Rachel said kissing Ross
Little afterwards we got to the former central perk, it had been closed down for couple years now but Emma had gotten the keys to the place and we had a plan to recreate their first true kiss
" Why don't you Dan show my mom in and I'll talk to my dad abaut something before okay?" Emma asked me
" Of course see you soon." I said and kissed her and got outside with her mom
" So what are we doing here? This place has been closed for years now Emma should've known that..." Rachel asked me
" She knows but she got the keys for just this occasion you'll figure out soon enough what we expect you guys to do..." I said winking at her
I closed the doors just like before not long afterwards Ross tried to come in and was looking Rachel went to door and tried to open it up
Rachel's POV
" Try the bottom one." I heard, I wasn't sure that did I hear it in my head or did he say it from behind the door I opened it and Ross came inside and startted to kiss me like tomorrow I guess there was no question abaut what the kids wanted us to do. I have told story abaut that kiss abaut a thousand times I guess Emma wanted to see a recreation of it...
" Wow I can only imagine it to be even more intense back then..." Emma said
" Yeah you just can't create a kiss like that again it was one time deal but I did best I could
" Yeah well it's time to separate you two. Mom has an appoinpment with hair dresser and you have still some things to do I guess so you guys have to separate for now, but don't worry you guys will see again at the party" Emma said
Emma's POV
" Well unfortinatly this is where we separate as well, I trust I see you at the party? And don't worry if you want to come a little earlier, it's okay... But now I have to go get myself ready, okay?" I said kissing Dan
" Well did you atleast have fun even though you weren't in charge?" Dan asked clearly trying to tease me
" Yeah well it wasn't too bad just came badly out nowhere that's all..."
"Maybe we should have that lunch and after that you should leave since you still have one promise to keep for me, well have to say that you look amazing as you are so I can't wait to see what kind of dress have you've gotten..." Dan said
" Well that sounds like a plan..." I said as we have lunch at mcdonalds.
Afterwards we left our separate ways and I went home to get ready. Night came pretty fast I was getting ready a little before start of the heard a knock on my door
" Yeah come in" I shouted
" So are you almost ready... Wow you look beatiful Emma you're like a princess" My mom said coming in
" Yeah I just hope that I wont take all attention away from you, you and dad are the main stars of the night after all not me..." I said
" Hey I don't mind sharing with you, you know it's weird how much confidence you've gotten since you startted dating."
" Well I can thank you for it. You forced me to find it by not taking it easy on me when I startted it, I just had to find my voice." I said
" You're more than welcome, I had to take my time to realize that there is no reason to worry anymore. Emily isn't bad person neither is Daniel..."
" Speaking of witch so do speak have you decided what you're gonna do are you gonna let dad dance or do you dance yourself?"
" You'll find out when it all starts, trust me on that"
" Fine but if you don't then last dance is gonna be dad and Emily okay?"
" Sure, but as I told no worries..."
" What are you up to?"
" You'll find out soon enough" Mom said as the doorbell rang it was Dan and Emily
" Wow just... You're definetly a girl of your word, you look stunning Emma" Dan said looking at me
" You don't look that bad yourself, I told you that you can look good if you put some extra effort into your looks..."
" That means alot coming from you Em."
" Em? Trying to invent me a nickname?" '
" What none has called you that before? Well I decided to try it but if you don't like it we can go back to just Emma, but everyone seems to go here by a nickname you know Jes, Alex and Dan. Up to you of course, what do you say?"
" Well usually that goes for the names longer than 4 letters. Well let's try it if it fits then it stays if it doesn't then I'll take it back, okay?"
" Fine by, but I think we have celebration ahead of us and well I think those two have something up sheir sleeves..." Dan pointed Jes and Alex/
" Wow Emma I forgot how good short hair looks on you and combined with that dress just wow..." Jes said looking at ne
" Yeah but I think it's enough that my boyfriend undresses me with his look okay? And on top of that you have a girlfriend..."
" Yeah sorry I know oh by the way I need to talk abaut something do abaut that with you..." Jes said
" I have a feeling I know what is it abaut and if you need I think I can find another place to stay, or what do you think Dan?"
" Well actually I was gonna ask, if you'd like to come to stay over night so this went just abaut perfect." Dan said kissing me
Time went by and everyone startted to arrive. I was pretty exited abaut the night. I wanted everything go to perfectly even though I had my doubts abaut it.. Everyone startted to arrive I was just talking arround with Monica when I heard shouting from the living room...
" What are you doing here? You're gonna ruin everything..." I regocnize the voice as uncle Joey
" I'm here invited by Ross and Rachel, I have just as much right to be here as you do..." I heard Emilys voice
" What is going on here? Joey what do you think you're doing?" My mom asked we came with Dan to check out what's going on...
" How has she gotten in and what is she doing here? Don't you guys remember what she tried to do?" Joey asked
" She's here becouse we invited her. If you want to know why we invited her I suggest you ask those two..." My mom said pointing at us
" What? Oh hi Emma who's the guy? Your boyfriend?" Joey asked me
" Yeah meet Daniel Waltham, Emily's son and my boyfriend..." I said Joey looked something between mad and confused
" Nice to meet you, I'm guessing that you're Joey, Emma has told a lot abaut you..." Dam offered his hand
" How come you're okay with this? Do you really want to take a chance that she's trying to mess up you and Ross, after all this time... But yeah nice to meet you sorry that you got in the middle of all this"
" Joey in true love there is allways a chance. I think my parents are allready over the phase where she could even try to mess it up. Give them a chance Emily isn't bad person and Dan is even less of a bad person. Let's just enjoy this evening we have a lot of things planned... And you know that we need you, please if not for Emily then for me..." I said
" Fine but if you try anything fancy..." Joey said
" I know and I won't. I know there were reasons why Ross said wrong name at the altar and I should have called it off right there and then... But I'd like to enjoy this evening, if you let me." Emily said
" Why don't you actually tell what happend exactly after we broke up I heard you were gonna marry Colin, but what happend to that?" My dad asked coming to room
" Colin was one mistake I shouldn't have ever made again well I know that Emma would disagree, since there wouldn't be Daniel if there wasn't Colin." Emily startted
*Flashback*
" You deserve someone lot better than that Ross kid who doesn't know what he wants..." Colin said when we were sitting and talking a little after my divorce went through
" I know, I just feel bad for him. I think I was just too hard on him, maybe I should have given him a chance..." I startted
" How can you start to love someone when he says wrong name at the altar? You didn't do anything wrong."
" I did do things wrong I can't deny it. Engaged and married way too fast, not calling the wedding off when he said wrong name at the altar. He's not perfect, but I know I'm not either."
*End of the Flashback*
"Well you know that we went out for couple months and he proposed me. He gaught me at a bad moment since I accepted it. I guess I just tried not to be alone... Well I called Ross and decided that I will rahter give you a second chance rather than get married to him, but since you didn't call back I decided to go for it. We were married for almost a year but realized that it wasn't working. Well year after that we bumbed eachother on a drunken night and well we all can see, what that night resulted into, after I told him I was pregnant he didn't want have anything to do with neither of us. At that point I almost called you again but realized that it would have been pointless. Well and I think I made the right call, since well you had your own little girl on her way... Our stories aren't that diffrent Ross, I'm happy that we can be friends again and I'm more than happy that I can celebrate your anniversery with you and, maybe even our families will connect at some point, only a generation later than we thought" Emily said looking at us
" I think we all are hoping for that, but please you two take your time, we have seen what happens when you rush things like this..." My mom said
" Okay who are you and what have you done with my mom? It's amazing how much you have grown over the last few weeks, it's like you're complitely diffrent person. Trust me no plans to rush anything you guys taught that to us and no plans to repeat your mistakes" I said
" How abaut we start the festevities, are okay with this now Joey?" Mom said
" Yeah if you guys trust them and Emma is dating her son then I don't think there is anything I can do, besides I don't want let her to ruin your evening, but don't tell me that I didn't warn you, if something happens..." Joey said
" We won't, but should we start the festivities?" My mom asked as we left
We startted the festivities and My parents renewed their wedding wows just as planned. Little after that Ben asked me aside and wanted to talk
" So what can I do for you?" I asked noticing that Ben was clearly nervous or worried abaut something...
" Well I would want to give this to a certain someone and I guess you know who..." Ben said showing me a little black box.
" Are you sure? Even baby on the way it's pretty early for you guys..." I said
" I know that it is and before you ask no one is preassuring me to do this. I talked her parents abaut this and they are just happy that I'm willing to take my reponsibilities. I love her and want to spend rest of my life with her. I don't think we're getting married anytime soon but I would want to show her that I'm serious abaut this..." Ben said
" Well of course I won't stop you. You look like, you know what you're doing so ... I'm guessing you need some sort of help with it. You know that I'm more than willing to help with these kind of things. So tell me what can I do?"
" Well first of all thanks. And you can help by distracting Laura I need to talk to my dad and make sure that he's okay with this and knows that it's gonna happen. I don't want her to walk in on us, you understand right?" Ben asked me
" Of course well actually I needed to talk to both of you abaut something so this went as good as I hoped..." I said
I told him abaut my idea of gay dance and he seemed to be somewhat okay with the idea he wasn't sure though who would he ask. I thought that I better get to work I have to distract her for a while...
" Hey Laura how is it going? Everything allright?" I asked.
" Yeah just nervous I don't know most of the people here and now my boyfriend is god knows where..." Laura startted blabbing
" Well there is no much better time than this to get to know people, but before that I need to ask you abaut something .." I said and told her abaut my plan
" Do you mind if I skip that? I don't have anything against people who are on to their own gender, but I stick to guys if you don't mind" Laura said
" Of course I just decided to ask, I am not forcing anyone to do it, you know it would have been nice for example for your future mother in law..."
" Damn you're right, Emma. I guess I don't have a choice, but you owe me one after this, okay?" Laura said, startted smiling becouse I saw Ben coming to the living room I actually had an idea...
" Well there you are where did you go?" Laura asked Ben
" Just had some business to take care of. You'll see..." Ben said winking at me
"What have you two done some kind of alliance against me? What are you two up to?"
" That's for us to know and you to find out. Trust me you're gonna find out soon, but I'll borrow your boyfriend for now?"
" So you're planning on something major well okay Emma I'll let you have your fun..."
" God you two are so identical... Well let's go Emma..." Ben said as we both stopped
" Wait what do you mean by I'm nothing like she is.." We said like from one mouth
" Case in point, Emma you know I'm kinda on schelude here so shall we?" Ben asked
" Fine I'll be right back Laura" I said as we left
" So everything allright? Any ideas when you're gonna do it?" I asked as we got to safe distance
" Well yeah dad seemed to be okay with it. Your face tells me that you've idea when I could do it so let's hear it."
" Well your girlfriend seemed to be okay with the whole idea of gay dance after a little persuade so I was thinking how abaut after that?"
" That sounds just abaut perfect idea. I'll go with that, hey thanks Emma." Ben said as we, left from my room
" Just remember she's not stupid and will be on her toes. So try keep your pokerface and it's allways a pleasure to help" I said
" I know, as I said you two aren't that diffrent, neither of you let people know more than you want them to know"
" I guess you're right, but I really think that we should join the others so you can atleast at some get to propose, oh and by the way good luck on that, allthough I don't think you are gonna need it..." I said as we went back with the others
We went back and everything was ready to start the festivities... Soon it came time to my parents to renew their wedding wows...
" Rachel ever since you got off the plane everything has been perfect, our daughter has shown us that we gotten over the past and we can truly concentrate on the future. Whatever happens from now on I promise to love and respect you untill death parts us" Dad said, a little tear came out of my eye
" Ross I wouldn't change a day since I got off the plane. You have shown me how much you've grown since we tried to date at the first time. You said it yourself Emma has taught us a lot since she startted dating and I was foolish to think that she shouldn't date someone just becouse, you used to be married to his mother. You've shown that you don't love any woman like you love me, that's why I can trust that we are gonna live happily ever after. I promise to love and respect you like you love and respect me we complite eachother and I will love you untill I die." Mom said with a tear in her eye.
Everything went just as planned and mom and dad took the first dance of course to themselfs, but after that it was free dance floor, to be honest I was pretty nervous as Dan came to me...
" So may I have this dance Ms. Geller?" Dan asked offering his hand
" Well I was worried that you aren't gonna ask, so of course..." I said taking his hand
It went pretty well even if I say so myself. Everyone seemed to have their fun I saw mom talking to my dad abaut something and I decided to go next to Emily to see if my hunch abaut what were they talking abaut was correct...
" So how is the party for you Emily?" I asked as I came to her
" Just fine I hope that someone would take me to dance tonight..."
" Well if my hunch abaut what you two were talking abaut yesterday is correct then you know that you're gonna dance atleast once tonight, well speaking of which..." I said as I noticed that my dad came clearly to pick Emily to dance floor...
" So may I have this dance Ms. Waltham?" My dad asked
" Well I was worried that Rachel would be too jealous to let you dance with me, but of course I will..."
" Well your future daughter in law talked some sense in to her so we can have this dance..."
Dad and Emily danced my mother seemed clearly a little upset, but I think she knew that she had let dad do this... Time went by and I decided that it would be good time to put my plan in to action... Thankfully Ben was with Laura talking to girls..
" So are you guys okay if we take the gay dance now?" I asked
" Sure" Came from the girls Ben took clearly a deep breath
" Hey it's not that bad Ben just one dance doesn't make you gay..." Laura said
" Yeah I know I think we better get to it, before I change my mind" Ben said
" I can't tell you enough how much it means to me that there is atleast one boy couple too on the dance floor..." Jes said
" By the way Jack refused to do this..." Alex said
" Well then ask Dan, okay?" I said to Ben
" Of course..."
" Could you do the honours so we get this show on the road..." Melissa said
" You never told who are you gonna ask?" Jes said looking at Melissa
" You'll find out soon enough..." Melissa said and I cleared my throath
" May I have your attention? Thank you, for the next dance we do something a little special, everyone can dance just like every dance before, but only girls with girls and boys with boys as long as those conditons match it's okay. This is to show that we don't judge anyone, I don't force anyone, but appreciate everyone who does... Oh and by the way I would appreciate if those who are gay on normal basis wouldn't dance with your usual partners... Thank you." I announced
" So may I have this dance Ms. Miller?" I asked Jes
" Well that was the plan, but I hope you can lead becouse I most certainly can't..." Jes said
" Of course, trust me you'll be surprised..." I said
" So who are you gonna dance with Melissa?" Jes asked
" Well I was thinking abaut asking your mom as soon as I find her..." Melissa said as Kate came behind her
" Funny I was thinking exactly the same abaut you. So may I have this dance Ms...?" Kate clearly realized that she had never asked Melissas last name.
" Ryan, Melissa Ryan. Sorry that I haven't formally introduced myself. You most certainly can Ms. Miller..."
I saw Ben asking Dan to dance with him and he accepted they did keep their distance, but that didn't seem to bother Jes even slighest... Even my mom danced with Emily I was seriously surprised, but decided talk to her later I still needed to tell where I'm going to stay tonight... After the dance Ben seemed to be clearly nervous, I Coudn't blame him to be honest I just hoped that everything would go allright and Laura would say yes...
Bens POV
" What's up with you Ben today? You seem like so nervous that I would be meeting your parents first time and you weren't even this nervous to tell them that I'm pregnant. So it would be abaut time that you tell me what's up?" Laura asked clearly a little worried
" Well as you wish, I did plan to do this now anyways... Everyone may I have your attention?" I startted and said the last part with a raised voice everyone turned to us
" First of all congratulations to Ross and Rachel for their tenth year anniversery. Second I'm so happy at the moment that I can be here, everyone has been so supportive on our pregnancy news, that I really feel like I should do something to show exactly how supportive I'm gonna be. I guess that leaves just one question..." I said Laura realized what was going on and a stream of tears came from her eyes. I went on one knee
" Laura Mitchell will you marry me?" I asked
Laura couldn't do anything but nod she clearly wasn't expecting this so fast. Everything went just abaut perfectly Emma came to us...
" So congratulations to both of you. You guys make a cute couple and will make even better parents I'm sure of it..." Emma said Happily
" So this is, what you two were up to earlier... If it was even a little later in our relationship I probably would have seen it coming." Laura said to us
" Yeah I'm kinda surprised that you didn't see it coming anyways. Oh well I guess it wasn't as obvious when someone doesn't tell it to you in advance..." Emma said
Everyone else came to congatulate us and Laura swore that she will going get back at Emma for this. That was something to look forward to these two going head to head if she wanted to get Emma engaged then she needs to wait atleast few years, but something told me that she had something else in mind...
Emmas POV
Party was coming to a close, everything went just as well as I hoped it would. I still needed to talk mom abaut couple things, Luckily she came to me just as I was looking her...
" Oh there you are I've been looking for you. So how has the party been for you, I have to say that didn't expect you to be able to pull this off..." Mom startted
" Well actually I was looking for you too, and thanks, I'm glad you like it. I needed to talk to you abaut couple things..." I startted
" Well let me guess You're gonna stay next night at Daniels place instead of Jes' and you want to know why did both things you asked when I was so against it when you asked them?" Mom asked with a "know it all" face.
" How did you...?"
" Sorry Emma we have upped our game a little ever since you guys managed to catch us all badly off guard with your dating thing. So we keep all parents updated what has happend. I couldn't make it that easy for you... And I trust you so much that, if you want to stay with Daniel then go right ahead. You two have allready slept in same bed so I think I can trust don't forget we're leaving tomorrow night to london so be prepeared for that..."
" Yeah I know it's gonna be interesting... Well I'll come home early and pack I've most of the stuff ready to go. So I guess we'll see tomorrow?" I verified
" Well most certainly will but I guess you should get going..." Mom said kissed me on the cheek and we left with Dan and Emily
Night went pretty well with couple slip ups but everything seemed to be okay for our little trip...
But as you may guess that's a story for another time and another season. This season was really fun to write I hope it was fun to read as well. As allways follow read, review tell me what you thought abaut the whole season. As I said I have planned Season 2 a lot now its more like matter of writting it.
