Chapter 5. A father's 'love'

"Haruka!"

A beautiful guy was shouting while waking up from his sleep. His eyes were as red as tears had been formed in those beautiful lilac orbs.

"Zero… are you okay?" asked his best friend who was sitting on the chair next to his bed. He had been worrying his best friend so much. Zero was fainted and got carried to a nearby hospital.

The beauty, Kiryuu Zero only stared at his best friend weakly, his expression was so miserable. As if he was in a lot pain, which makes Kaito worried to death. His best friend was a strong guy, even though he might look like a mother-hen. Because Zero tended to care a lot about those who he deeply loves, but deep inside Zero's heart, he was a strong man.

Kaito knew exactly that Zero was not able to stay strong like he was used to be, since Haruka was the light of the silverette's life. And his son was also the best part of his life. The moments he had spent with Haruka were the greatest things he'd ever felt. It made him feel blessed despite the miseries he had been through before he met the angel of his life.

"Haruka… Kaito… where is my son? I need him… I need him Kaito…I want to meet him… I want to hug him in my arms… My boy… Haruka.. Kaito, where is he?" Zero grabbed Kaito's shoulders while looking straight into his eyes. He shook Kaito's body desperately, the sadness that he was feeling at the moment could be seen by Kaito through his best friend's eyes. Zero looked like he was ready to commit suicide, and Kaito, himself could not even utter any words. He also loved Haruka with all of his heart, his nephew was a good boy, a smart one too, not to mention how obedient he was, how handsome he was, and how polite he was.

Even though Haruka was only an adopted son of Zero, but Zero had always loved him like his own child. And Kaito also loved him like Haruka was his own nephew.

"Where is Haruka? Where is he…? Please give him back to me… Please give him back…" Zero begged as the tears kept rolling down his pale cheeks. If only he did not meet that Kuran guy, he would always be with his son, Haruka. If only, he could turn back the time, he would refuse what Kaname had asked him to do. He would refuse to give back his beloved son to Kaname. His Haruka, his life. How could he continue his life without Haruka with him? How could he do it…? How could he through this miserable life without Haruka? How could...?

"Haruka…Haruka… I am sorry…Gomenne Haruka…" He sobbed inside Kaito's embrace painfully. Kaito was hugging him tightly to make him feel a lot better, to make sure that Zero knows that he was there with him. And he would always be there for him.

"Haruka…. Mama misses you so much…"

He said before he closed his eyes as the tears streamed down his cheeks.

KazeKaze

Kaname and Haruka finally arrived at the Kuran's mansion. Haruka needed to admit that that mansion of his father was indeed big, it looked like a castle in fairy tale. However, Haruka did not need this wealth, he was happy the way he lived with his mother. He was happy living in an old apartment which his mother rented for both of them. He was happy sleeping in a small room with his mother, he was happy eating ordinary foods which his mother cooked for him, only for him. He was happy with everything he had spent with his mother. They were the greatest things in his life that he'd ever felt.

He loved the way his mother raised him, he loved the way his mother taught him about life, he loved the way his mother smiled sincerely at him, and he really did love the way his mother loves him.

"Mama…." He mumbled unconsciously. But little did, Kaname heard that word, he glanced at his son that he had longed for a long time.

Haruka looked like a mess with his swollen eyes, Haruka had been crying on the way to their mansion. And yet, Kaname could not say anything to make him better. He was clueless, since Haruka had already refused him since the moment the brunet took him away from his 'mother'.

And even so, he also did not know at all about Haruka. He was not there with him for these past 4 years. And what the hell things he could do for him? All in Haruka's mind were Zero this, Zero that, and Zero everything. Kaname, his birth father… had no place in his mind.

Not to mention how much he hate it when Haruka loved Zero much better than he loved Yuki, someone who supposed to be his real mother.

The driver carefully guided Haruka towards the main door. He felt pity for him, since this little boy was looked so lifeless. Those eyes were empty, they were not the eyes of boys in Haruka's ages. Haruka, his young master was indeed in his saddest state.

The door was opened by the maid and the butler, revealing the luxury things in every corners of the mansion. But still, Haruka did not react over that thing at all. He really wanted to run away and go back to Zero's side.

"Welcome back, Master!" greeted all of the maids and butlers in union.

Kaname could only ignore them and walk inside quickly. He really wanted to tell his parents about Haruka, about their grandson who he just found.

"Okaa-sama! Otou-sama!" Kaname shouted loudly, he was being so impatient here. And he even decided to ignore Haruka's sadness at the time.

Rido and Juuri were running down the stairs after hearing their son called them out, and how surprised they were when they realized there was a mini-Kaname next to their own son.

"Who is this boy?!" Juuri asked, could not hold back her curiosity as her eyes kept staring at the little boy beside Kaname. He looked so much like Kaname that she thought Kaname had become a little boy again.

Kaname smiled sincerely. It had been a long time since his parents saw that smile of their son. Kaname had changed since the death of his wife and the loss of his son. "He is Haruka! My son, which means he is your grandson." He exclaimed, could not hide his excitement. It was so obvious, I mean too obvious, that this handsome tall guy was happy to have his son with him, again after losing him for 4 years.

However, did Kaname ever think about Zero? Did he ever feel thankful of Zero for what he has done for Haruka? Did he ever understand what Zero feels right now? It was just the same as he felt back then. It was exactly same like how Zero felt when Kaname took Haruka away from him. But Kaname was too blind to understand Zero. He could only hate him for replacing Yuki's position in Haruka's heart.

"God! Haruka… my grandson… Godness…Haruka…" Juuri immediately hugged Haruka, she did not doubt it at all, the moment she saw Haruka, she was sure that Haruka is Kaname's son. Because Kaname looked exactly the same with Haruka right now when he was a kid. Even though his hairstyle was not as same as Kaname's.

Rido beamed happily, he also felt grateful to have back his grandson, his only grandchild. And he felt happy for Kaname, his son who had been in the worst state since he lost everything.

And for Haruka, he could just stare at Rido and Juuri confusedly. He had never had a grandfather and a grandmother before. Although Haruka really wanted to deny the fact and the truth about his existence as Kuran's heir, however he could not deny the fact that the people who claimed themselves as his grandparents were bad people. Haruka knew that he was loved by them, so much until he felt terrible to ignore them.

Haruka was only 4 years old, he should not think so much. But the condition made him being like this, being a mature boy even though he was still too young to think a lot.

Haruka's tears slowly formed in his eyes. His red-puppy eyes had already become so teary which made his grandparents worried.

"Haruka-ah… what's wrong with you? Grandma is here with you…" It was the only thing Juuri could say, but Haruka's mind kept shouting for his mother.

"But… Mama is not here with Haruka… Haruka wants Mama! Haruka wants Mamaaaa…." He cried painfully, it was too painful to be seen by the Kurans. Since Juuri and Rido had no idea about Zero at all. They thought Haruka wanted Yuki to be there with him.

"Gomenne Haru-chan… Your Mama was dead the moment she gave birth for you….We cannot give her back to you…" Rido said sadly, it was a bad news though for a little boy like Haruka, but Haruka needed to learn the truth, he needed to know that Yuki was no longer there with them.

Juuri and Kaname quickly sent death glares towards Rido, but this old man just ignored that and continue staring at his grandson.

Haruka sniffed, he had no idea about his mother. Even though it might sound so cruel, but Haruka did not care about Yuki at all, he felt grateful for Yuki, for giving birth for him. But, the time he had spent with Zero could not be replaced by the mother he had never known before. For him, Zero was his mother, and he would always be one!

But Haruka was not able to ignore Yuki as his mother as well, he knew that he was not Zero's son by blood. However the bond he had with Zero was as strong as the bond of a son with his mother.

"Haruka did not mean Mama who gave birth of Haruka. Haruka meant Mama who has raised Haruka for a long time!" He exclaimed firmly.

"Haruka loves Mama so much…and Mama loves Haruka so much too… Mama found Haruka and Mama raised Haruka… Haruka does not need anyone but Mama.. Please give back Mama to Haruka… Haruka wants Mama…." He sobbed as he stared at Kaname, his biologic father. He even tugged Kaname's pants desperately. Showing how much he wanted to go back to Zero. His running nose had dirtied his clothes, his cheeks had been wet by the tears which could not stop falling from his eyes.

Rido and Juuri were shocked by what Haruka just said, but they got to understand what that little boy felt. Since Haruka was raised by someone he called Mama here. They had no right to interfere their issues, even Kaname as well.

And Kaname… he was a stubborn man to begin with. He just felt his anger was growing bigger and bigger the moment Haruka wanted Zero more than he wanted to be with his real family.

"You should not think about that Kiryuu Zero anymore! He is not your mother! He is a guy, a male! And Yuki is your biologic mother, who gave birth of you! She even paid your life with her life…" Kaname grimaced, not caring how his parents stared at him.

He was so pissed, too pissed. Haruka was his son indeed, but in his heart, Yuki was everything.

"You should feel grateful about it…" He stared at Haruka coldly. "If only, she didn't give birth for you. She would not leave me all alone in this world…" he continued.

"If only, you did not exist…. We might have a wonderful life…After all, her death is actually your fault." Kaname said pointing his finger at Haruka before leaving the poor boy, who was standing dumbfounded and clueless at the same time.

However Kaname would never realize that what he said would make him regret in the future…

….When the secret was finally revealed…
