Neko: I updated sooner than before like I promised! Yay! I really have no idea how this story will end, but I'm going to keep going! Now that there is no more internet at home, I'm going to be writing a lot of chapters. But then I'll be able to update only when I go to the library.

Ch25: Jellal, Ultear, and Meredy

No one's POV:

It's been one month since Natsu and I did you know what. Everyone has been training, training, training! We thought moving to different areas would help us learn more about this new world and help us train too! It was like killing 2 enemies with one shot! We are now training in the forest.

"Over here! We're almost there!" Erza shouted.

"Erza san, there's no need to yell. We're all right behind you," Wendy said.

"It seems I have become slower. We have no time to waste! We'll start training here and now!" Erza screamed and started to jog in place and soon took off.

"A race huh? I like it!" I ran after Erza.

"Somebody say a race? I'm in!" Jet tried to catch up to me.

"Ikuzo! Happy!"

"Aye Sir!"

"Wendy! Hurry up! We're not losing either!" Carla grabbed Wendy and flew off.

"Gehe… We're not losing." Gajeel grabbed Levy and ran after us too.

"Gray Sama! We're going to lose!"

"No. I'm simply giving them a head start. Let's go, Juvia!" Gray carried Juvia bridal style and turned the ground to ice. Then, he started to skate.

"Looks like it's just you and me Lily," Droy said while eating a drumstick. He turned around to look for Lily, but found no one in sight.

"Looks like it's just me…" Droy heard the bushes rumbling, "Matte! Wait for me too!" He ran after everyone else.

Lucy POV:

I decided to just skip my way to Erza. When I caught up to Erza, she was lying on top of Jellal. I covered my eyes, but left gaps in between my fingers.

"A- ano… Sorry for interrupting…"

Erza got off of Jellal right away.

"I- i- it isn't wh-what it lo-looks like…" Erza was blushing hard while Jellal covered his cheeks with his arm.

"Oh… was it now?" I smirked.

"I was running and I just tripped on him…"

"Oh… but still… anyways, what are you doing here Jellal?"

"I was taking a walk," Jellal answered.

"I know that… but what are you doing here here. Like out of prison."

"The magic council let me out. They said that I was free to go. I don't really know the reason why though. Oh yeah, I was just looking for you guys."

"For what?" Erza asked.

"Since, you guys were gone for 7 years, Ultear wanted to do something for you."

"Ultear? She's with you?" I asked.

"Yeah. Meredy too. We were traveling together in a party after we were let out of prison."

Erza and I nodded.

"Where are the others?" Jellal questioned.

"They're behind us somewhere."

As I finished that statement, Natsu fell out of the tree.

"Happy!"

"Sorry! Did you forget I had a limit on these wings?"

Then Jet sprung out of the bushes, soon followed by Gajeel and Levy, Gray and Juvia, Wendy and Carla, and Lily.

"Where's Droy?"

"He'll get here soon enough."

"Well, since the people I need are here, let's go," Jellal commanded.

"Matte! Were you about to leave me!" Droy yelled.

Everyone ignored and he talked low to himself.

We followed Jellal to a small house near the shore. When we got there, Meredy and Ultear came out.

"Meredy! You've grown to be so cute! I missed you!" Juvia squeezed Meredy into a tight hug.

"Ultear… How've you been?" Gray asked.

"Pretty good," she replied.

After that, they stopped talking.

"Okay… so what were you going to give us Ultear?"

"I'm going to use time control to get your second half to wake up. Since, you were gone for 7 years, your second half didn't develop and wake up yet."

"I don't get it." Natsu said.

"Basically, your second half will awaken along with the powers you should've received during the 7 years you were gone."

"I still don't get it, but if it means getting stronger so I can protect my nakama, I'll do it," Natsu said.

Everyone else nodded.

"Oh… I forgot to mention," she turned to face Jet and Droy, "since you 2 already awoke your second half, you won't need to be doing this," she turned back to us, "it'll be painful. Once you begin your process, you can't stop it or else you'll hurt yourself."

Everyone nodded again.

"Okay then… let's go inside." We followed Ultear inside. We sat down and Ultear began chanting something while her hand was placed above her lacrima. After that, I blacked out. I woke up to see Ultear in the same position, but she didn't chant anymore. I got up and she looked surprised.

"How-how did you finish the process in only 2 minutes?"

"It was only 2 minutes?"

"Yes… I knew there was something special about you. Well, looks like you're the first to awaken your second half. Do you remember what happened?"

"I blacked out… and then I was talking with someone… then I just woke up."

"You were talking only?"

"Yea…"

"That's weird… your other self should've fought with you…"

"I was talking with my other self?"

"Yea… but from what I know… your other self should've been fighting you. She should've done everything in her power to stop you from using her magic power."

"Why so?"

"Because one's half doesn't trust the other half. Your half shouldn't have trusted you until you win her in a fight, but you were just talking with her?"

"Yes…"

She didn't question anymore after our conversation. I think she was having trouble keeping Natsu and them inside their own little world. After a while, she flinched. I observed how everyone was sweating and their breathing became heavier too. Their magic was leaking as well. It was filling the atmosphere.

'It looks like Ultear couldn't conceal their magic inside. That's a lot of work. I'm surprised she could even keep some still locked in, considering how much people she's using this for.'

I called my lacrima out and sat next to Ultear. She looked confused. Then I started to chant the spell she said earlier. I can tell she was shocked, but then she still concentrated. After about a minute, their magic was sucked back into their own bodies and everyone's breathing became just a little lighter.

"You know how to use time magic?"

"Well… you could say that… but what you're doing isn't really time magic… you just got their spirits to enter their own world, in other words, forgotten magic."

"I know… this is all I could do for Fairy Tail…"

"How about joining Fairy Tail?"

"I don't really know… I was once an enemy… I don't have the right…"

"Pftttwahahaha! Look at Gajeel and Juvia! No offense. You could join Fairy Tail anytime! Even if you were once an enemy, you're not one anymore. Fairy Tail forgives enemies. We accept the enemies."

"I still don't know… I'll talk to Jellal and Meredy about it…"

"Okay… speaking of Jellal… Does he like Erza? Scratch that, when does he plan on asking her out?"

"I know he likes her… but… I don't know if he's ever going to ask her out."

"Why?"

"Well… he thinks he doesn't deserve Erza because he caused her so much pain…"

"What!? I'm going to go smack some sense into him!"

"I've tried… but he won't give in."

Soon after, Erza got up.

"Oh… you're done awakening your second half?"

"Yes…"

"Do you remember anything?"

"No… I remember blacking out… and then waking up."

"Ah… I see…"

"I'm going out for some air."

She left just like that.

"Ul… do you think she heard us?"

"Ul?"

"Yea… can I call you that?"

She nodded, "I haven't been called that in a while…"

"Meredy doesn't call you that?"

"No… she calls me 'onee-san'."

"Awww! That's so cute!"

Erza POV:

'I heard what they were saying… I can't believe Jellal would think that…'

I sat near the cliff and hugged my knees. I stared off into the sunset.

"What's wrong?" A voice asked from behind me.

"Nothing…"

"Erza, tell me what's wrong…"

"Why would you think you caused me pain?"

No answer. "Tell me Jellal. Why would you think you caused me pain?"

"Because I did. I ruined your life. I made you cry. I made you sad. I made you mad."

I got up and looked him straight in the eye, but he averted his eyes. I went closer to him and held him on the cheeks.

"Look me in the eye," I commanded, "Listen. You didn't make me cry. You made me laugh. You didn't make me sad. You made me happy. You didn't make me mad. You made me smile. You didn't ruin my life. You made my life."

By the time I finished saying that, his eyes were on my eyes. My arms wrapped around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist. We got closer and closer until our lips finally met. It was only for a brief second before he pushed me away and claim that he has a fiancée. He was always bad at lying.

"Don't lie to me, Jellal. If you don't like me, just say it."

"I don't like you…"

"Thank you. Now I can finally move on."

"But I never said I didn't love you. Erza, I love you."

He made me blush a deep shade of red. I was about to reply to him, but then he interrupted.

"But… I can't love you. I don't deserve you. I don't deserve a woman as great as you."

"Baka! How can you say that? I am not great at all. I don't show the real side of me. I am a coward."

"You are not a coward. You are the bravest woman."

"Jellal! I love you! Why won't you accept my feelings?"

"Erza… I… I… will you be my girlfriend Erza!"
