Rosalina POV

Oh god, Nat. Please, please be okay. My thoughts were running rampant…and that phone call. I sighed. I squeezed Trina's hand a little tighter, giving her a small smile in response to her sideways glance. The only thing I could think about was Nat and that phone call.

Maya's dad was driving, with all of us piled in the back of the car. Lisa was up front, pointing out short cuts, and the girls were all within reaching distance. I took a long breath of relief. I still couldn't believe I was okay, that I made it out of that warehouse all right.

Shut up Rosalina. The whole band is in danger. I cringed, thinking about Matt threatening Quassim, the night I was going to tell him my secret in Florida. This was never about me; it was always about the band. No. No. No. He won't touch them. He won't hurt my guys, because I didn't get in this far to fail.

Nat POV

"Alex." I shook my brother's shoulder. "Alex, wake up, okay? You have to get up." The guys and Christa were getting more restless, but they were still sleeping. There were more incriminating news reports, more parents refusing to let their children support anything our band produced.

"We don't want our kids looking up to a kidnapper. What is the boy teaching them?"

"Nat Wolff used to be great, until the fame caught up with him. This always happens with boys like that, especially when they meet girls like Rosalina."

"Girls like Rosalina." The news was painting pictures of Rosalina as a damsel in distress, caught up in a bad relationship, with an abusive boyfriend – I punched the metal bars, wincing a bit from the pain.

"Nat, you're not superman, you won't get out that way." I spun around, looking at Alex.

"Oh good, you're up."

"Nat, what's wrong?" I waved my hands in the air, exasperated.

"There are more people here everyday! Two cars pulled next to the building, I heard their engines. What if something is happening? If they try and move us, we might never make it out alive! The only reason they're playing nice…I mean, they could kill us! They could,"

"That's not what I meant Nat. I know about the police, okay? They're really the bad guys, there are more of them right now, and I know. I was asking about you. How are you doing?" And for what I hoped was the final time, I broke.

"They're talking like I'm the bad guy, Alex? And…I know our relationship was rough, but I didn't think it was bad enough to make her run. I had no clue what to do! One day we were fighting, and like every other time after we fought, I walked all the way to her home to play her favorite songs…

And she was gone. I watched her get on that bus, Alex. She looked right at me, and then turned away. And the next time I see her, she has a boyfriend! And I have Christa, but at the same time, I was so angry. I thought she had moved on! I was so sure, and then all of this crap happened, and now I'm in a prison cell and she's stuck somewhere, tied up with a crazy ass kidnapper and I didn't know what to do at all…so I told her I loved her."

I looked at Alex briefly, to watch him bury his head in his hands. "Nat…"

"Look, Alex. I know it was crazy and stupid but she said it back. Rosalina told me she loved me too." He groaned a little and lay back down.

"And isn't that just sweet?" A deep, familiar chuckle sent a shiver down my spine.

"And isn't it great, meeting the Naked Brothers Band again?" I growled roughly, slamming the bars again. This time, I ignored the pain.

"WHERE IS SHE YOU DIRTBAG? WHERE THE HELL IS ROSALINA?" I heard everyone wake up behind me, and their swearing told me they knew exactly what I did.

"Matt Pinfield. Perhaps we could talk about this like normal people? Maybe in a room that's a little less like a…cage?"

"Of course, Cooper, right? That's your job, isn't it? A sniveling nerd gets to play manager for a bunch of under grown brats. Well, Cooper, there will be no more talking today."

"Let her go you piece of scum! Give us Rosalina!" His look of fake surprise made we want to punch him in the face.

"Me, have Rosalina? Why, no, no, no. You see, unlike all of you, I would never do something to hurt dear, darling Rosalina. And, Nat Wolff – You may have charmed all the young ladies of America, but Rosalina is now considered the darling star of the United States. And she's missing. Kidnapped by her insane ex-boyfriend, Nat Wolff, whose fame and arrogance got the best of him,"

This time, I couldn't hold back.

"YOU'RE A FUCKING LIAR MATT PINFIELD, I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO ROSALINA. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I THINK ABOUT HER BUT IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT AND I'M NOT INSANE."

"Well, this new video will say otherwise, won't it?" He smiled, pointing out the camera behind him. "You've just given us fantastic footage for the next news reel. And as for your feelings, well, we all know what those really are."

He stepped close to the bars, peering through the gaps to make eye contact behind me.

"It's Christa, right? How has your love life been?" I snapped. Before I knew what was happening, I threw the punch, and being a little skinny has its advantages. My fist sailed through the space between two bars, catching him in the nose."

"Why, you little twerp. Nat Wolff, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get. Where's Deagan? Go get him he has the keys. Tell him to come back and grab the boy."

"NO!" The bellows of my band mates were encouraging, and we scrambling to find something, anything that could ward off the officer.

"Now, now. Don't you act like that Nat Wolff. You're the one who asked for this."

"I DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY OF THIS!"

"You took my spotlight away, though. You see, news casting is a nasty, nasty, business. And there have been too many encounters between us that let people believe I'm unreliable. I lost my job, because of you and your puny little friends. And now, I'm going to take it back with the story of the century:

"MATT PINFIELD FINDS ROSALINA TAI AND

SAVES HER FROM ESTRANGED EX BOYFRIEND AND BAND"

"But, unfortunately. There has to be a little more action to this story, Nat Wolff. Do you know how?"

Deagan unlocked the door and grabbed my arm before I could react. There was a click and I closed my eyes. The screams from my band erupted and they fought against more of Pinfield's men to get to me. There was an opening of the door and for a moment, Deagan's grip loosened as he ordered his men to move. I managed to move away just as I felt a familiar hand on my arm, and her voice.

"NAT!" Rosalina came flying at me, pulling me down, hugging me fiercely. There were people everywhere, and Matt Pinfield's voice was being drowned out by real policemen fighting back. We were being saved.

They wrestled us away from Deagan, whose gun had been dropped in the fray. I tugged Rosalina closer to the band, as we ran for cover.

"ALEX LOOK OUT!" Alex had rushed towards us, and there was a gun trained on his back. I rushed forward, but Markson stepped in my way. There was the sound of a bullet, and I heard someone tackle a person to the floor.

"NOO!" I roared, kicking Markson in the stomach. I sped toward Alex, to see him as a head on the floor.

"No! Alex, Alex I'm so sorry! Please, please come back!" I looked everywhere for blood and a bullet, but there was nothing. I heard him move, and he sat up, dazed.

"I thought – Nat, I thought they shot me." I cried, hugging him tightly.

"But you didn't. Alex, you're fine."

The fighting had died down. There were no more bullets and the only people here seemed to helping us. A man stepped up, and smiled.

"Nat and Alex Wolff, my name is Mr. Radcliffe. I'm pleased to meet you both, Maya tells me good things about you." I nodded, dazed, trying to form questions.

"So, you're Maya's,"

"Nat." Christa's voice cut through the haze in my mind. "Nat, you need to come here quickly." I turned slowly, focusing on the person Christa was next to.

"No. No. No. No." I stumbled forward, reaching for both of them. "No. No. No. No."

"She'll be okay! She'll be okay Nat! She's breathing!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, SHE'S NOT MOVING!"

"Quassim, David! Thomas! Help me!"

Mr. Radcliffe's voice was right behind me, asking for an ambulance.

I couldn't move.

"Yes. Confirming our location. I need an ambulance for Rosalina Tai, stat. There's a bullet wound and she's already lost a lot of blood."
