Rosalina POV

"This isn't fair!" I complained loudly, to Cooper, to Trina, to the girls, and to the guys, but most of all, I complained to Nat. "I'm fine. I've been so good!" Quassim scoffed behind me.

"Aside from the part when you refused to take the elevator."

"Once," I fired back quickly.

"More like everyday, Rosalina." David rolled his eyes. "Not to mention, you couldn't let us help you unpack!"

"Like you were actually going to help me!"

"Aaaannnnddddd by us, we meant Cati and Maya." I rolled my eyes.

"This is actually ridiculous. And I don't even know why you guys got a say in this! That's the only reason why I lost the vote!"

"No," Nat smirked. "You lost the vote because we all know that you are still healing, even if you don't care and your manipulative powers work very well on certain tour members and Alex." He turned to glare at his little brother, Lisa, Lianna, and Cati. They only shrugged.

"If she wants to perform, I say we let her try." Cooper opened his mouth in protest to Trina's response. She cut him a look, quieting him before continuing.

"In the studio. Rosalina, I'll give you the set list, and I'll need you to play them as if you were performing at the concert. You'll be playing four songs: If you can make it through all of them with your usual happiness, energy, and strength, you can perform." I nodded excitedly, ready for any chance to prove them wrong.

"Okay. I can do it."

Nat POV

I sighed in frustration. No one could keep Rosalina down. She would have been fine if she just played her bass and sang into the microphone. But the performance buzz always takes over, and suddenly, her body spun out of control: She's one of the best dancers I've ever seen, but her body wasn't ready for the rapid rhythmic movements she attempted.

"Rosalina, are you awake?" I sat in a rolling chair next to her makeshift cot, as Trina and Cooper ran to go find some bandages and ice.

"Hmm." She smiled sleepily.

"You are so not performing tonight." Her eyes snapped opened, and she tried to glare.

"I was fine." I nodded.

"Yeah, until you and Cati tried to do that ridiculous spin move together, and failed. And you fainted. You even bled a little. No performing. And they're not just my orders, okay? They're everyone's. I'm literally the one they made send the news to you."

"Why?"

"Because they knew if it was anyone else, you would have punched them."

"UGH! Nat!" She rolled over and stuffed her face into her arms. "Are you sure I can't perform tonight?"

"No, Rosalina! You're still healing, okay?" There was a long stretch of silence, before I heard her huff in exasperation.

"Fine. But I don't have to like it." I smiled, shaking my head. Sometimes, my girl was so stubborn. I paused momentarily, smiling a bit. My girl.

Rosalina POV

I sighed, smiling slightly. The Star Rockers had just finished their set.

"You guys did great!" I yelled over the commotion of switching sets. Their bubbly performance attitudes were infectious, and it was all I could do to not be jealous – There was nothing I wanted more at that moment than to have been on stage with them for our last performance. Unfortunately, I was still practically ductt

Cati leaned down to hug me tightly: "Aw, Rosalina, you know we would have given anything for you to be on that stage with us!" I nodded, the tears pricking my eyes. I wiped them away, frustrated. I hated being emotional.

"Yeah, you know we totally voted for you to play tonight! We know you had it in you, girly." Lisa and Lianna chimed in. Cooper, his hand tightening on my shoulder considerably, coughed behind us.

"Sorry ladies, but we all saw what happened to Rosalina when she tried to perform in the booth." Trina nodded.

"Yeah, Rosalina. You know very well that if I had let you perform tonight, you would have been back in that hospital faster than you can say, "I'm fine."" I groaned.

"That vote was still a cheap shot!"

"Rosalina, you're going to miss something very important! So I suggest that you watch the stage." We all turned to Cooper, confused.

"Just watch, please Rosalina?" I turned back around, settling in my wheelchair, as Nat stepped up to the microphone again, apparently to make an announcement.

"Hey everyone! We just wanted to thank all of you, our loyal fans, and everyone else who supported us through the Matt Pinfield problem!" The cheers off stage were deafening.

"We also have to thank the other band on tour with us," The Star Rockers smiled to each other slightly, as Alex took up another microphone. "Though it may have been a rocky start, this tour has taught us many things about friendships and loyalty." The girls behind me "awed" again, and I laughed, knowing Alex had just become their favorite band members.

"And, as many of you know, one of the tour members, which both bands are lucky enough to have played with, has recently been hospitalized for a serious injury during the arrest of Matt Pinfield and his men. Some of you have known her since she began playing for the Naked Brothers Band. Others have only recently met her, when she began playing for the Star Rockers." My stomach dropped. I put my hands on the wheels beneath me, and I squirmed a little, trying to turn away.

"Rosalina, I promise, this is going to be good." Cooper whispered, patting me on the back, as Nat continued.

"Many of our fans have requested information on her well-being, but it came to our attention that many of you still only cared about the drama involved with Rosalina's separation from our band and her joining with the Star Rockers. This is a topic that has been repeatedly brought up in press conferences and meetings, and our band decided to put any and all rumors to rest once and for all." The band started to play the softened tune of "Rosalina."

I could feel the tears pricking my eyes again, as the screen behind them turned into changing pictures: Me and the Star Rockers, me and the Naked Brother's Band, me and all the tour members. Cooper and Trina had been sneaking pictures of us: There was Christa and me at the mall, Me and Alex at the beach, Lisa and Thomas sneaking into the movies…everyone was on the slideshow, and everyone was happy.

"When Rosalina left the Naked Brother's Band, we thought that it was because she didn't want to be a part of this life anymore. But we were wrong. Rosalina was doing what Rosalina does best: Loving her friends unconditionally, and doing everything she can to help them and defend them, no matter the cost.

My old band began filling in missing bits of the story, telling every word.

"Cooper, why are they doing this? They're making it sound like I'm some superhero." He leaned down, closer to my ear.

"Rosalina, you don't understand how badly this Pinfield thing scared the band. And when they found out what you've been doing this whole time, just to make sure none of us get hurt…Rosalina, in almost all of their eyes, you are a superhero. They are astounded at everything you've tried to do."

I shook my head. "They're making too big of a deal." Trina shook her head.

"That wound says otherwise." The tears started falling harder now, as I turned back to my old band. I caught Alex glancing at me, smiling. I smiled back.

"So that was the true story, the real reasons why Rosalina left our band. This girl…" Nat paused. "She is one of the most amazing girls I've ever met, and she's the girl who I always want to be with. I love her." This time, it wasn't Alex's glance I caught, but Nat's. And Nat's glance had so much meaning and intent, and I could every read every single word that was echoing in his eyes.

I whispered, so no one backstage could hear me.

"I love you too."

As if he heard, he nodded slightly, smiling proudly when he turned back to the audience.

"So this last song is for you, Rosalina."
