Rosalina POV
"Are you sure?" Cati's hands gripped my shoulders tightly. Her guitar was slung behind her shoulder, and the girls huddled close behind her. I only nodded. She pulled me in for another hug, this one much stronger and more emotional.
She leaned forward to whisper in my ear, "We're going to miss you so much, Rosalina. We'll never have another bassist like you."
Lianna laughed. "Yeah, and if we ever get a reunion tour we'll definitely be knocking on your door soon." I giggled leaning over to hug her too.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Maya walked forward and slung her arm around my shoulders. "You know, we'll still be around this summer in Tennessee…"
"Then I'll probably visit, but I think I'm going to stay right here for now," I said.
Lisa sighed. "Tennessee's going to miss you, y'know."
"They'll miss you ladies more, especially since you're going to be graduating and all!"
"That's not for a few more months Rosalina! There's still time!" I laughed.
Despite their begging I had decided to go back to New York, and spend more time with the Naked Brother's Band. They joked about how it was mostly Nat (and maybe that was kind of true) but I also think they understood. They all had one more year until graduation, and they decided that after such a long tour it was the best way to end the Star Rockers, at least for now. This way they could focus on their senior year.
But they also begged me to go to Tennessee again. I almost took the offer, but I needed to play. I wanted nothing more in the world to keep performing and playing music, and I knew that I wanted to do that with no one else but the guys. The Star Rockers came a close second though.
"Promise we'll keep in touch? Like all the time?" Cati reminded me for the hundredth time.
"And stop being so stubborn. And listen to other people when you're hurt." Lianna added sternly.
"And please remember all the fashion advice I gave you!" Lisa shouted exasperatedly as she fixed my necklace.
"And don't you dare do something astronomically dangerous without us ever again!" Maya and Trina finished. I laughed, nodding and promising all these things. I wiped another stray tear from my eyes: Even though I hadn't seen this coming, I wasn't exactly shocked.
The Star Rockers packed the last of their things and got on the bus. I watched as it pulled into the road and headed south: I watched them slowly disappear, and smiled as my phone buzzed with five new texts.
Don't forget us – Cati
Come visit, anytime – Lianna
Skype me on Saturdays! And every other day! – Lisa
Don't forget about the Fall Out Boy concert in June! – Maya
Miss you already xoxo! – Trina
I knew I had made five important friends during my stay in Tennessee, and I was forever grateful. An arm wrapped around my waist, hugging me gently.
"Let me guess, you already miss them." Nat whispered as he wiped a trailing tear from my cheek. I nodded.
"They became some of my best friends." He hugged me a little tighter.
"Next time, give me a little warning when you go off to Tennessee to protect me, alright?" His tone was half-joking, half serious, and I laughed.
"Trust me, I don't plan on leaving here for a long time." I looked behind me to survey the scene, grabbing Nat's hand and holding it tightly. I wasn't planning on letting go, not now anyways. I was finally where I belonged.
David and Thomas were chilling on my front steps, laughing and eating gummy bears. Alex and Juanita were skating around them – Alex tried to grind on the railing and ended up falling into David, who protesting by dumping his water bottle on Alex. Laughter came from Quassim and Christa, whose hands were intertwined. They smiled at each other as watched the chaos ensue. Cooper was finishing his ice cream and Jesse had entered the fight to break up Alex and David. Juanita was on the ground, clutching her stomach and laughing.
"HEY LOVEBIRDS! A little help here!" Alex yelled for Nat and I to come and rescue him from David's chokehold. We only laughed before making our way to the group.
Everything was finally good: We were safe, we were happy, and we were together.
Author's Note: Honestly, I want to thank everyone for being so patient and supportive. I had to give the ending a finished epilogue. It was short, but hopefully I ended it well! PM me if there's any questions. I love writing for this Fandom, honestly because I've met some of the most supportive people here. I hope you enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed writing it, and after finishing my other stories, hopefully I'll be making my way back to this fandom again!
Much love,
Colored Sabotage
