Chapter 11
Sunday came and Kisa's nerves were on edge. He had only been home a handful of times since he'd left for college at eighteen. Those times he'd always felt unwelcome even though his parents acted nice and cheerful. He just hope they treated Yukina nice and atleast were civil to him. It was bad that a thirty-one year old man was worried about his parents meeting his lover. Though there was the being gay and being knocked up part , but hey life was a funny thing. Kisa walked slower and slower as he and Yukina approached the small house his parent's lived in . Finally Yukina pulled Kisa to a stop.
" You don't have to go through with this if your uncomfortable Shouta. " Yukina rubbed Kisa's back soothingly as he spoke.
" No, we might as well get it over with now. " Kisa reached out and held onto Yukina's hand as they walked up to the door.
Kisa rang the doorbell and they waited. The door opened to an older and female version of Kisa. This must be his mom Yukina thought . Wow the resemblance was remarkable.
" Hi Mom. " Kisa said bowing slightly. The woman eyed her son warily.
" Shouta, come on in and bring your friend. Your father is waiting in the living room. " She turned and lead the way inside.
Yukina looked around. It was neat little house and on the walls were pictures of his Kisa-san. All ages, he sure was and adorable kid. Yukina shook his head as they entered the living room and at the man that greeted them was tall as Yukina and very handsome for his age . There were some similarities to Shouta, such as the dark hair and the scowl were the same but nothing else. So this was his love's father. Yukina decided to do the traditional thing as Kisa had done with his parents. Yukina got down on the floor and bowed low before them .
" I am Yukina Kou, and I am in love with your son. Please give him into my care. " Yukina waited.
" Shouta is this your boyfriend? " Mr. Kisa asked.
" Yes Father. " Shouta said quietly.
The man looked at Yukina, and then to his wife who just nodded. Then he walked over to Yukina to help him stand. He shook Yukina's hand . Both Shouta and Yukina were shocked.
" We are happy to give Shouta into your care. But could someone please explain to me why my son is pregnant."
"Sure Dad, we'll try to explain it all. But first can we eat cause I'm freakin starving. "
" Of course honey. Please be seated and I'll bring in the food. " They all gathered around the low table and sat.
Mrs. Kisa brought out the food and they said blessing then began to eat. Once they were well into their food Shouta began speaking.
" Mom , Dad as you know I've always been gay. Well there is this virus that broke out not long ago called the M-preg virus, and I got it and when me and Kou had sex I became pregnant. "
" I heard something about that on the news a couple of months ago. But I must admit that I didn't understand it." said Mr. Kisa.
" It's okay Dad, as long as you accept our child as your grandchild it doesn't matter how it happened. " Shouta was very serious.
Yukina watched as Shouta waited to be rejected by his father. Yukina thought he was being unfair to his parents, that they still cared for their son. You could tell because of all the pictures of him on the wall. If they didn't accept and love him the pictures wouldn't be there, but he had to let his love figure this out on his own.
" Son I can honestly say I don't understand alot about you,but me and your Mother still love you and of course we will love our grandchild. "
" Yes, sweety we will dearly love this child, and by the way do you know if your having a boy or a girl?" Mrs. Kisa asked.
Yukina could see the tears beginning in Shouta's eyes and decided distract his lover's parents. His love needed time to get his emotions under control.
"We are having a little girl ." said Yukina happily.
" Oh how wonderful ! " Mrs. Kisa clapped excited. " Do you have a name picked out ? " She asked.
" Yes we have decided on Emi . Since she is our little blessing. " Yukina was beaming.
Shouta finally recovered and the rest of the visit was pleasant and uneventful. Later that night,as the two snuggled close Kisa was lost in a sea of thoughts of the day. Yukina was content to just hold him and caress his rounded stomach.
"Kou, thanks for today. " Shouta said softly.
" What for Shouta ? " Yukina asked.
Kisa turned to Yukina and smiled.
" You helped me to face my parents and now I feel like they accept me for being me. "
" Sho all I did was go with you , you did all the explaining." Yukina retorted.
" Yeah but you were so supportive and I just really love you , OK ! " Kisa was blushing so red he almost glowed.
Yukina took pity on him and agreed that he did help.
" I love you too Sho-kun." He pulled Kisa close and kissed him deeply.
" Now all we have to do is worry about all the family holidays to come. " Yukina said happily.
Kisa buried his head in Yukina's chest and groaned.
" Please don't remind me. "
