Chapter 14

Kisa was going stir crazy. He was now at 39 weeks in his pregnancy and couldn't go out of the house much anymore. He needed to get out or he would go completely insane, plus his back had been aching for hours so he figured he needed to stretch. He got up and put on his coat and shoes and waddled out the door and right into Yukina.

"Shouta where do you think you're going?" Yukina frowned.

Kisa began to whine. Pouting was something Kisa did so well.

"Kou, I'm going crazy! Anyway I was just wanted to walk to the park down the street."

Yukina sighed. Shouta was due soon and he didn't want him causing the baby to come too soon, but he couldn't very well hold him prisoner either. So he gave in and walked out with him, soon though Kisa was tired with the pain in his back spreading to his lower stomach and so they just sat quietly on a park bench watching as the sun went down, each lost in their own thoughts. Finally it was Kisa who broke the silence.

"I'm scared Kou." Kisa said softly.

Yukina took his hand and squeezed it.

"Why are you scared Shouta?" Yukina was getting worried.

"What if we aren't good parents? What if I'm not a good parent?" Kisa was hyperventilating.

Yukina rubbed his back soothingly willing him to calm down. Then he turned Kisa face to look at him. He leaned in and kissed him softly.

"We will be good parents because we love each other and we love our daughter even though she isn't here yet." Then he caressed Kisa's face.

"Do you believe me Shouta?" Yukina asked.

Yukina could always make Kisa believe anything just by the way he looked at him so lovingly and dammit so sparkly!

Kisa smiled and nodded yes.

"Shouta, I been meaning to ask you something for a while and well the thing is I don't quite know how to say it."

"Just ask Kou, plain and simple." Kisa replied curious.

"Ok, here goes."

Yukina stood and then dropped to one knee in front of Kisa. Reaching into his pocket he brought out a jeweler's box he'd been carrying around for weeks. He opened it and inside lay a plain but beautiful gold band.

Kisa stared in shock as Yukina got to one knee and pulled out a box with a ring in it. Was this what he thought it was, OMG!

"Shouta Kisa I love you so much, and I am so happy you came into my life. So would you do me the honor of marrying me?"

Before Kisa could answer, the pain hit him full force. Kisa doubled over in pain.

"Shouta what's wrong?" Yukina was scared as Kisa groaned in pain. He stood and held him up so he didn't fall to the ground.

Kisa was panting from the pain.

"I think I'm really in labor Kou. Ow, ow damn!" Tears were falling and his face was red.

"Ok Shou, just hold on I'll call us a taxi."

Just hold on Yukina thought as he called the nearest cab service. As they waited he helped Kisa do the breathing exercise's they had learned from the video on childbirth. Kisa wasn't due for another three weeks and he was worried for the child and Kisa.

Yukina was also timing the contractions and so far they were far apart. Thirty minutes later Kisa and Yukina arrived at the hospital. Soon Kisa and he were in the delivery room. Kisa was screaming in pain and calling Yukina every name in the book.

"Yukina you ass! You did this to me! Bastard I should've never have fallen for your pretty face! Bastard! Idiot! Ass! Get this baby outta me now!" He yelled between contractions.

Soon the doctor gave him an epidural and prepped him for the C-Section. Finally he calmed and Yukina stood by his side and held his hand whispering praise and love words. All of a sudden a thin cry filled the air and Yukina looked to see his daughter enter the world.

"Is Emi ok Kou?" Kisa asked exhausted.

Yukina smiled tears in his eyes.

"She's perfect, beautiful." He said with awe in his voice.

Yukina was handed the tiny baby who still cried at her surroundings. He carried her carefully over to Kisa and laid her in his arms. Kisa was crying tears of joy at the sight of his beautiful daughter. Emi opened her eyes and looked at Kisa and stopped crying immediately. Kisa smiled.

"Hi sweetie, I'm your Papa and I love you so much."

Later after Kisa was out of surgery and awake again Yukina sat next to the bed watching his true love and his little sweet daughter. Kisa was holding Emi and feeding her from a bottle. The baby was content and quiet except for the sucking.

"She looks like both of us Shouta. She has your dark brown eyes and my sandy hair."

"Well I think she looks more like you because she has already got me under her spell."

"Ah Shouta you say the cutest things."

The nurse came and took Emi back to the nursery and that left Kisa and Yukina alone. Yukina moved to sit beside Kisa on the bed and held his hand.

"I am so glad that you and Emi are safe and well. I was so worried when you went into labor."

Yukina took Kisa's face in his hands and kissed his lips softly.

"I love you so much Shou-kun."

Kisa blushed brightly and teared up a little. Then he remembered what Yukina had asked before he went into labor.

"Kou would you ask me the question again you were about to ask me before I went into labor." Kisa asked.

"You sure Shouta?"

Kisa nodded.

"Ok."

Yukina got down on one knee again and took out the ring.

"Shouta Kisa I love you. Will you marry me?" He smiled but he looked nervous.

Kisa took a deep breath and then took the plunge.

"Kou I love you too, and yes I will marry you."

Yukina pulled Kisa into a gentle hug and then kissed him very passionately. Then he slipped the gold ring on Kisa's finger.

"You've made me so happy Shouta." Yukina gushed and sparkled so bright it was blinding.

"You've got that wrong Kou. You're the one that has made me the happy one."

Kisa and Yukina cuddled and kissed softly until they both grew sleepy. Kisa thought as he was drifting off that he was so lucky he had found Yukina. Yukina had made a man who didn't believe he could love, fall so hard and stay in love. He showed Kisa the meaning of true love and happiness. It really was like a Shojo manga with a very happy ending.
