Aftermarth of Lies

In the heart of the forest region that surrounded Lake Erie in Detroit, Blurr looked at his servos in regret. His spark felt heavy as he tried to block out the pain that he knew his spark was feeling from Scar's rejection and the tears that had fallen from her eyes that reflected her mother's kindness so well. His commlink pinged and beeped every couple of minutes which he ignore as he wallowed in self-pity. He could feel the presence of an other, at his bond he shared with his brother. Ignoring it he rose to his pedes and walked to where the lake glistened as the sun set for the day and twilight started to set.

He had gotten a call from Dom telling him Scar had returned home safety before Blurr had cut all communication with the outside world. Dipping his pedes into the lake, he walked forward, only stopping when only his face plates touched the water. Looking towards the vast city, where the city lights started to flicker on and where so many lives walked past not knowing of the sentient being in the water, he fought with his thoughts, as they told him to go and activate the maintenance crew that he had found at the bottom of the lake and leave Earth far behind him. He pounded the thought before the sound of an Cybertrion engine reached his receptors. Looking towards the sound he stared as his brothers alt-form came into view.

"Brother get out of there," Skylight said as he transformed. "We need to talk."

The teenager looked at the mirror in the bathroom. Her once full of life and joy eyes where lifeless and red due to her crying and the tears that still fell. Her hair was sticking up in different directions and some strands where sticking to her wet checks and a piece curled under her nose where it stuck due to the bogies that had run from her nose. A knock came from her closed and locked bathroom door and Lottie's voice drifted into the bathroom.

"Scar just open the door please," she pleaded. "Just talk to me cous."

"G-go away," Scar sobbed, her voice breaking. "J-just g-go away Lottie."

Outside the bathroom, Lottie and Tina exchanged looks with each other. Scar had locked her self in their shared bathroom since she got back from her early finished trip with Blurr. Tina gave a sigh before she knocked on the door herself.

"Come on Scar," Tina pleaded. "Come on baby girl. I'm begging here and you know I don't beg."

Scar looked at the mirror. Her mind whirled at twenty to a dozen as she weighed the pros and cons of letting her two cousins seeing her like this. Stopping she corrected herself; her two sisters that would understand and won't say anything until she says they can.

"O-okay," she whispered quietly. "Okay."

Tina and Lottie stepped back as they head the key click in the lock and the bathroom door opened slightly. Tina gave a sigh, before she pushed open the door and both girls found Scar on the floor, huddled into a tiny ball. Lottie rushed forward and hugged her younger cousin. Tina grabbed Scar's fluffy pink bath robe and wrapped the young girl into it. Scar curled into the warmth of the two girls she could always count on. Lottie pulled out a hair bobble and started to pull Scar's untamed hair into a neat pony tail, running her fingers through it and using a damp towel to rub through the strands of hair that stuck to her face. Tina hugged the young girl as she used the face cloth they had and cleaned her face, being gentle around her eyes.

Scar sat there feeling pathetic as she sniffed and started to hiccup. Tina gave a sad but soft smile as she watched Scar's eyes start to dope. Looking towards Lottie, Tina inclined to the half asleep teenager. Lottie gave a matching sad soft smile before she tucked her hands around Scar's shoulders and put the girl into her lap. Tina moved forward and rested Scar's legs onto her own lap as both girls sung softly to lure the cousin to sleep. Scar shifted her position slightly before she snuggled into Lottie's chest as her legs curled up. Both Lottie and Tina looked at each other, waiting for Scar's breathing to become even. When it did, Tina scooped up her cousins legs while Lottie hold her body and they both walked Scar over to her bed. Drawing back the cover's, they placed the sleeping fourteen year old into bed, before they left the room.

Blurr and Skylight sat in a clearing. Skylight was watching his brother in worry, while Blurr stared into the distance.

"Bro she needs you," Skylight said, breaking the silence.

Blurr didn't answer as he stared into the distance, where his optics could make out the high wall of the mansion.

"How can she?" Blurr finally asked. "Light I need to leave. She deserves better then what I can give her."

"You love her," Skylight said. "If it wasn't for Rhiannon and the fact that you will never see her that way, you would never had found the one piece of you that no one can fill brother. Scar is young yes but she needs you. Think about it."

Skylight stood up before he transformed and drove away leaving Blurr alone once again.

Rhiannon watched the young brunette as she picked out her usual pick for her mother's grave. She had heard about the falling out that Scar and Blurr and wondered if saying anything that would change the young girl's mind (as well as Blurr's). Scar walked up to the counter placing her flowers down.

"$15 Scar," Mrs Lea said, as she added up the total of the flowers the girl had placed in front of her. "Are you alright?"

"Just peachy," Scar replied, avoiding Rhiannon's staring eyes. "Can I have them tied with a blue ribbon please?"

"Extra $3," Mrs Lea replied, as she tied the bunch together. "If this is about your..."

"Just stop," Scar snapped. "He is not my friend and he will never will be. Now good bye."

Scar grabbed her flowers and nearly walked into the still broad chest of Blurr. Stumbling, Blurr grabbed her arms automatically to stop her from falling as well he needed to see and feel her heat signature up close then far away.

"Let go," Scar growled, trying to remove her arms from his grasp.

"Scar listen to me," Blurr argued as he tightened his hold to keep her there.

"No! I hate you!"

Scar regretted her words the moment hurt covered Blurr's face. Blurr's hold loosed as his hands fell to his sides.

"Goodbye then Scar," Blurr said calmly. "I will buy the car and I will leave. Goodbye."

Scar watched as the one person she knew cared walked away. Rhiannon watched her boyfriend in shock, but didn't say anything as she touched Scar's arm to comfort her. Scar looked at Rhiannon in shock as she realized what she was doing.

"Brandon!" she yelled. "Blurr don't leave me!"

Blurr heard her voice but he didn't answer or turn around. Scar ran after him, nearly catching him when a bullet pierced her left shoulder. Hearing her scream and the shot, Blurr turned round as fear pinched his spark.

"SCAR," Blurr yelled as another bullet pierced through Scar's chest from behind him.

Sprinting, he stopped her from falling to the floor. Looking at the blood forming around the girls mouth, Blurr felt guilt and ice cold fear as Rhiannon came running out with her mother following. Blurr looked up to see a black SUV speeding away around the corner. Using his hidden optics he recored the car and the number plate, before he focused of the fourteen year old in his arms.

"Don't leave me," Scar whispered as she stared into the sky. "Don't leave me Blurry. I need y..."

Blurr watched as colour faded away from her checks and her eyes closed. In the distance Blurr could hear the approaching ambulance and police cars.

"They will pay sweetspark," he whispered, promising it to the young girl in his arms as paramedics rushed towards him.

End of Chappie.
