D&D #11
Hey guys, ZoNe13 here. Sorry about the wait on this chapter, I had run out of inspiration for a while. Anyway, let's get down to business! (Oh, as an added warning, INCOMING SLASH!)
As we ran outside into the calamity known in both Heaven and Hell as "The Second Coming", I looked for a way to get off of the floating school platform. Unfortunately, all of the buses had been destroyed, and neither me or Warren could fly.
"Well, we're screwed, huh?" Warren asked with despair in his voice.
I didn't answer on account of my thinking of a way off. Suddenly I realized that my dad had sprouted wings once from jumping off of the Empire State Building in New York City, so I could probably do the same thing. The only thing was...I was totally airsick. It ran in my mom's side of the family, which is why she prefers to drive over fly.
"Warren," I said. He looked at me. "We need to jump."
"Are you nuts? Neither you or I can fly, and the last time I checked, you can't sprout wings from jumping off a building. We'd need someone to-"
He didn't finish the sentence on account of the fact that I, embarrassingly, had kissed him. Tongue and all. It was a quick one, but it was enough to put him in shock for three seconds while I picked him up, ran as fast as I could to the edge of the school, and leaped. We both screamed, thinking that we were going to be pavement pancakes if I didn't time it right. I caught an updraft, imagined wings on my back, and when I looked up, I was floating. Jet black wings with feathers on them were on my back, and I was shocked.
"Well Warren, you're going to have to check again." I said, focused on the mission at hand. Warren snapped out of his shock, looked at me, and then began to look down when I stopped him.
"That's not a very good idea." I said. I kept my head straight while I flew, knowing full well that the moment I looked down, I would become seriously airsick and fall out of the sky like a nuclear warhead. We quickly reached our destination, and I was about to land when a blast of red energy hit me. Warren and I flew to the far end of the city, barely recovering in time. I looked up and saw the infamous Marcus Antonius. In ancient Rome, he was a great warrior and military strategist, but he was sent to Lust after being seduced by Cleopatra. He was wearing armor made out of fallen soldiers' bones, and was holding a shield and sword, with the shield having the insignia of Lust: A heart with a skull inside of it.
"Antonius, you dare attack the Prince of Hell?!" I shouted at him, hoping to use my status as Hell's heir to stop his assault. It failed quickly.
"You, Prince?" He said, laughing. "Hell belongs to us now. Your father has been dethroned. And soon enough, you will be as well." He charged at me, and I quickly dodged and tried to dropkick him. He blocked with his shield and tried stabbing my leg, but I backflipped off of his shield and called my own sword.
"Grecian bane, I call to you in the name of the true ruler of Hell! Appear!" My sword appeared in my hand: A black-bladed one handed gladius known as Leviticus's Revival. I stared into the now hollowed-out holes that were once Antonius's eyes, and called him to fight. He charged forward, attempting to ram me with his shield, but I rolled out of the way and cleanly sliced his head off, severing his connection to this world and sending him back to Hell. I sheathed the sword on my back and ran over to Warren.
"You okay, Warren?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Look up." He said. I did, and immediately saw all of the demons from the circle of Lust disappearing. I suddenly realized that the lower-ranked demons had a connection to the person who had been in charge of their leaving. If I slay the generals, I can stop this madness and save the world.
"Warren, we're going to have to split up from here. There are seven sins in this fight, and I just slayed one. You take three, and I take three. Got it?" I said.
"Yeah. Where do we meet when we're done?" He asked
"At the Gates." I replied. He nodded and started running, but not before saying something shocking:
"Don't tell anyone we kissed, got it?!" I looked at him and nodded.
'Dad, I hope you're not dead yet.'
