They had less then a minute to admire Sabine's artwork.
Bolts of searing hot energy explode over their heads as stoormtrooper after stormtrooper surge into the room, a flood of armored soldiers. Over two dozen stormtroopers, their target; the rebels.
"Everyone get inside the TIE!" Their leader commands, trying to shot one handed at the incoming troopers. A boy's almost dead body hangs on his other arm, broken limbs swaying in the air as his master races towards the TIE, firing blot after blot at the enemy. But, truly who was the true enemy? The one to be feared? The one to be hated? The one to be despised? The Empire..or the Rebels? For each side, the choice was clear. Both sides thought they were what would bring the galaxy hope, freedom, and justice. But, only one side could do that.
First Hera, next Sabine, and then Zeb piled into the TIE. It was a tight fit with three people. Zeb was, unconsciously, shoving Sabine into the side of the cockpit in a effort to make room for Kanan. Sabine's amber eyes contort into a glare at Zeb, annoyance curling the corners of her lips down. "Can't we leave Zeb behind? It'll save us a lot of weight," Sabine asks, a joke smiling through her words. A faint smile tugs at Hera's lips while a growl breaks through Zeb's. "Hey, I'm not that heavy!" He protests to a smirking Sabine, her amber orbs gleaming in mischief.
Outside the cockpit, bolt after bolt of blinding red energy dance through the air, each aimed either at the Jedi or at the rebel-stolen TIE. And, frozen in mid-run, Kanan's jade orbs stare down in disbelief at his padawan. Just when he had seemed gone, lost forever to become one with the force, a jolt of life had surged through him and his lips had parted, releasing one word.
"Karabast."
