"What do you mean we're keeping him?!" I demanded, "He's a danger!"

Erwin and Levi stared at me as I desperately tried to counter their decision. The titan boy, known as Eren Jaeger, was imprisoned by the MP. I wanted to get rid of him, the titan. The other slayers agreed with me; the boy didn't know what power he had inside him which made him a threat. Levi, Erwin, and I had pulled away from the fighting towards where he was being held to discuss his fate. I hadn't realized they had other things in mind.

"Although that much is true," Erwin said, "he could have answers to questions we have yet to answer."

"This is crazy! You're talking about a titan!"

"A boy who turns into a titan. There's a big difference there," Levi said.

"But still a titan no less! Do you understand how much damage those things have done?! He can do just as much and more!" I argued, "If that boy loses control he could hurt and even kill the people around him!"

"If it ever comes to that Ms. Teara, I will allow the slayers to put him down," Erwin explained with a stern, harsh look in his face, "However, until that event happens, the slayers will do nothing to cause harm on him."

I immediately backed down. I realized I stepped out of line and bowed my head in apology, "Forgive me Commander. I should not doubt your judgement."

He and Levi turned their backs on me and started walking to the cell. I followed a few steps behind, the strong odor of the titan filling me and fueling my hatred. I tensed with each step closer we got to the scent. As a titan slayer, it was my duty to eliminate titans, not to protect one. This boy was a titan, the very monsters I was created to destroy. Being ordered to be this monster's babysitter was the biggest offense. I couldn't help but feel outraged by Erwin's decision. However, orders are orders and I can't disobey them.

We finally approached the cell. I had my hands in the pockets of my jacket, glaring into the darkness where the boy laid. Erwin sat in a chair in front of the cell. Two MP officers were standing guard, staring out at the wall. The scent was unbearable. The scent was there, mocking me. It felt like I was chained down,, unable to move and the boy stood a foot away from me, throwing insults and stones, teasing me because I can't lash out.

The boy groaned a little as he started to wake up. He shifted a little causing the chains around him to rattle. At the sound of the rattling chains, he jumped in surprise.

"What the-!" he sat up and stared at his wrists which were weighed down by the metal cuffs. Upon his frantic searching, he could see us in the corner of his eye. He turned his head and analyzed each of our faces.

"Before we begin, do you have any questions?" Erwin asked the boy.

He wore a face of shock and admiration as he continued to stare at our faces. Eren Jaeger, according to Erwin he was going to join the Survey Corps after graduation. He must see them as role models and heroes. He doesn't know what he's getting into.

"Um…" he awkwardly spoke, "Where are we?"

Erwin answered, "You were imprisoned and being held in one of the underground dungeons. At the moment, the Military Police have you in there custody. We were given permission to speak to you."

The boy glanced at me. His eyes widened a little with admiration upon seeing me. I was a little shocked upon his gaze, considering the look I'm used too was anger or fear. He gave me a look of respect. At that moment, I considered that he wasn't a monster, but still a danger.

Erwin held up the key that the boy had around his neck when he was imprisoned. Eren stared at it shocked.

"Th-That's…!"

"Yes, this belongs to you. Don't worry you will get it back," he said, "Your father, Dr. Jaeger, holds the secrets to the titans in his basement in Shiganshina. Correct?"

"Y-Yeah I think so…" the boy replied.

So that's what Erwin wanted him for. Great… so he's supposed to help us get Wall Maria back.

"The boy's lost his memories and his dad's gone missing. That almost seems too convenient," Levi stated suspiciously.

I glanced at Levi, wanting to side with his belief. Erwin turned his head to look at Levi, "He has no reason to lie to us, Levi."

Sure, he has no reason to lie unless he was a monster wanting to save his own skin.

Erwin glanced back at Eren, "Now, there's a lot of information we would like to know but for now I think it's best we know one thing. You intentions. In order to get to your house, we need to take back Wall Maria. After all the damage it took, we'll need your power to seal the breach in the wall. You intend to obtain this key, the key to free mankind."

Erwin gestured to the key he was holding. The sound of the chains rattling made me realize he was trembling. I stared at him through the darkness. His body was tense and he shook a little, like he was remembering a bad memory.

"I will exterminate them all…" he mumbled, "I will kill every single one of them…."

I rolled my eyes, "Answer his question, boy."

He had a large grin on his face with eyes filled with bloodlust and rage. He looked up at them and replied with a shaky voice filled with vengeance, "I want to join the Survey Corps… and kill every titan that crosses my path!"

I went wide eyed at his sudden change of expression. It was just as I suspected him to be. He turned from a boy to a blood thirsty monster. I was right all along. This boy was dangerous and a threat.

"Hm, good answer," Levi replied.

I stared at him shocked, "But Levi-!"

He approached the bars and stared at him, "I'll take him into my custody. He'll be my responsibility."

But Mira is his partner! She'll be in danger!

After a couple more words to the boy, Erwin and Levi headed out of the cell. I was starting to follow them closely until he spoke again.

"Uh, you're June Teara, alpha of the slayers," he said, "It's an honour to meet you in person and I-

"I hope there's no misunderstanding here, Titan," I snapped, "Just because the commander wants you doesn't mean the slayers do."

He gulped nervously and stared at me.

I glared at him, "The slayers and I are wired to kill titans. You best be careful or else we won't hesitate to kill you."

He nodded and wore a fearful expression in his eyes, "Y-Yes ma'am."

I walked off after the commander and captain. I took a deep breath now that the odor was gone, smiling a little that I left an impression on him. If he were to disobey or shift without consent of the others around him, I will kill him.
