I'M ALIVE!! Okay, I know it's been forever since I last updated, but guess what... the next chapter is out! The reason this took so long was due to my phone being taken (it's where I write the fanfic so it sux! got it back though), playing so much League, going out almost everyday, school stuff, family problems, and pure laziness. Also, look at it! It's so long! So there, a 14,694 word chapter. I dunno if my future chaps are gonna be this long, but we'll see. Hope you enjoy, and please don't hesitate to...whatever. I don't care.

Chapter 6: Minerva

"You can spill drinks on me, even spit on me and I will laugh about it. But if you dare hurt a friend of mine... I won't ever forgive you!" -Akagami no Shanks

I blissfully held onto Rez's arm as we made our way to the city. (I think I should properly name the city now. I'll just go with... Demacia? No. That sounds stupid. Minerva will do.) So as Rez and I entered the gates of Minerva, we were met with a glorious and bustling city with bright streets, rich buildings, clean air, and friendly people(hopefully). I come here very often, but each time feels as fresh as the first. It's even better now that Rez is here with me. He says that he's still new to the place so that gives me the opportunity to show him around. I was excited to bring him to most places, but he said that the first priority is to get the groceries so I complied.

We finally made it to the Minerva Grocer. It wasn't much of a grocery store, more like a supermarket(like Kmart or something). We got in and I searched around for a shopping cart. With Ahri by my side, we rushed to the food section. We looked at the different kinds of food we'd like to eat: meats, vegetables, fruits, dairies, and even junk food.

Walking down the aisles, I was pushing our cart while Ahri was checking the list of things to buy. She had to wrap her tails together to avoid pushing down the products off the shelves. "Hey, Rez. What would you like to eat tonight?" Ahri asked, looking at the various canned food.

I scratched my head, "I dunno. Let's eat at some restaurant. How's that?"

She smiled greatly and looked at me, "Yes! That sounds great!" She said with excitement.

I chuckled, "Know any good places?"

"Trust me. I know the perfect place." She said confidently.

Just ahead of us, I spotted a little boy rubbing his eyes as if he were crying. He looked to be lost. Ahri quickly took notice and walked up to him. I followed after, pushing the cart. As we neared the sniffling boy, Ahri kneeled down in front of him. "Hey. What's wrong? Are you lost little boy?" She said with a sweet and caring tone.

The boy replied, *sniff* "No. I can't" *sniff* "reach my favourite cereal box." He said and pointed up to the 4th shelf where the cereal, Captain 'Gangplank' Crunch, was found.

I was about to laugh until Ahri elbowed me in the stomach. She gave the boy a warm smile, "Here. Let me get it for you." She reached up for the cereal box and handed it to the boy.

With a look of contentment, the boy gleefully took the cereal. "Thank you Mrs. Cat Lady." He said smiling.

I put a hand to my mouth and chuckled verily. Ahri glared at me. Looking back at the boy, she asked, "Do you know where your parents are?"

The boy shrugged and answered, "I think mommy is over there." He pointed to the shelf across the one containing the cereal. Ahri and I assume his mom was to the aisle next to us.

"Alright then. Rez I'm gonna bring this boy to his mother. Can you look for the food on the list?" I nodded in agreement. "Okay, let's go." Ahri held out her hand to hold the boy's own. Then, they walked alongside each other out of the aisle hand-in-hand, and I watched. I don't know why, but just seeing Ahri take care of a child gave me such a warm feeling. It seems Ahri does have some motherly instincts within her. I smiled softly as they walked away.

"Oh my. Must be good to be young." I heard a voice behind me say.

I looked back and saw a blonde lady in a frilly sky blue dress. She held a matching umbrella over her head. It was pretty odd considering we were indoors. "Are you two together?" She asked, wondering.

"Excuse me?"

"You and the fox girl. You make a very cute couple." She sounded very sincere in her words.

"Oh no. We're not like that. We're just getting the groceries. That's all." I clarified.

She looked at me in pity. "Oh no. That's no good at all. You wouldn't want to lose a beautiful woman like her. Trust me." She smiled.

I looked at her thinking just who is this lady. "I'm sorry. Things are complicated for me, and I hope you don't mind me asking, but who are you?"

She giggled, "Oh, I'm just a woman offering some advice about love." Love? Strange, that's my most complicated emotion. She continued, "And if I were her, I wouldn't miss out on you either. You're quite the looker."

I scratched my head, "Umm..."

She jumped, "Oops! I'm sorry, looks like I took a bit of your time. I should probably leave you and your girlfriend alone." With that, she skipped away.

I reached out my hand, "Wait... She's not my-" In an instant, she was gone. "-girlfriend..."

I wondered what all that was about. She was a very strange lady. I shrugged and looked at the food on the shelves, although I couldn't stop thinking of what that lady said. I didn't want to lose Ahri, she's a very special friend. I pondered for a bit... Girlfriend huh? "Ahri!" I called out to her, knowing she was in the next aisle.

"Yes?" She replied loud enough for me to hear.

"Are you considered my girlfriend?" I asked.

She didn't speak until after a moment. "No. Why you ask?"

"Would you like to?"

I didn't get an answer, but a thud as a can dropped to the floor on the other side. I heard footsteps from a distance. I looked behind me and was pushed back a bit as she pounced on my body, embracing me in a tight hug. "Yes!" She looked at me excited. "Yes! Rez, I will be your girlfriend." A sweat formed on my head. That was more of a rhetorical question, but... I guess I have a girlfriend now...yay...

I patted her head, "That's great." I smiled at her as she smiled back at me. "Well, let's finish this grocery list."

"Okay. Then after, we can go on our date." She said excitedly.

"Haha! Sure." I said as we walked to the cash register with a cart full of food.

There was a long line at...well, all the registers. We decided to just wait in one. Ahri told me it was no problem as long as I'm with her. I was glad to hear that, knowing I wouldn't be a burden to her.

While waiting, I overheard a couple of women talking about some man. They said that he was causing a lot of trouble and his bounty has been raised recently. Sounds like an interesting guy if you ask me.

So here we are, waiting forever in line. Ahri held onto my arm and pressed it close to her chest. I felt the burning gaze of multiple men staring me down my neck. I don't know what's their problem, so I decided to ignore it. "Hey Ahri, are we gonna hold on to these groceries all day?" I asked.

She answered, "Oh, no need for that. We can just use the orb of wings thing to get home and back." I nodded in understanding.

A little while longer in line, I looked to Ahri and smiled. "That was very nice of you."

She looked at me and asked, "What was?"

"Helping the little boy. You were so kind to him." I grinned. "So what happened?"

She sighed, "Well, once I brought the boy back to his mother, she thanked me. Then the boy gave me a hug." She paused. "His mother told me that it would be great if I had children, but I don't know. It seems too far-fetched."

"...You would."

Ahri jumped, "Pardon?"

"I for one, think you would be a great mother." I gave her a reassuring smile.

Blushing, she retorted, "There's no way you mean that."

"Its true! You're very caring, you make great food, and don't think I didn't notice when you shifted me around the bed to help me sleep better."

"Stop it. You're embarrassing me ." She said quietly and blushed harder.

"Trust me. You-" I was interrupted as Ahri pulled me into a sudden kiss.

I heard whistles and hooting coming from the men who were watching, one even shouted, "Yeah, buddy!" and "Get some!" I also heard the sound of picture-taking; I swear I'm gonna find the people taking pictures and I'm gonna break their cameras.

Moments after, I pulled out from the kiss and looked away from her, embarrassed. "I told you to stop complimenting me. Its embarrassing." She looked at me surprised, "Are you blushing!?" She slyly smiled.

"N-no." I said, trying to hide my face. She kept moving her head to look at me while I tried to avoid her.

"You are blushing!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are!"

"No, shut up!"

"You look so cute!"

"Dammit Ahri, move up! The line is going forward."

"Just let me see! Rez!"

At the entrance of the store, a certain blond lady with an umbrella was watching Rez and Ahri from a distance. She giggled at their playful bickering and put a hand to her cheek. "Yup. Must be really good to be young." She said and walked away.

Finally, our groceries were done and Rez and I can finally get started on our day in Minerva. Rez used the orb of divine wings to teleport home along with all the groceries, and quickly came back using the Minervan password. I knew Rez was gonna get hungry in a matter of minutes, so I brought a few snacks just in case, for his sake. "So what do you want to do first?" He asked me.

"Anything's fine. As long as I'm with- Oh! Lets go over there!" I said and pointed to a women's clothing store.

"I don't wanna." He bluntly said.

I walked on over to the store. "Oh, come on now. There's a promotional giving 20% off for each pretty woman with you."

He groaned and followed. "That's a stupid promotional." He mumbled.

Entering the store, I gazed upon the many different clothing it had to offer. I was excited to try out some of them. Rez, on the other hand, looked to be very weirded out just by being here. "Ahri, there are so many girls and so many girl clothes." He said with a dreadfully shaky voice. "This is not a place for men."

I replied, "Oh, lighten up, will you? We'll only be here for- Oh my goodness. This is so cute." I said, grabbing a dazzling red dress. "Oh! This one too! And this, and this, and that, and these, and this... no, not this." I had a pile of clothes on my arms. "Rez, can you follow me? I'm gonna try these out." I asked, making my way to the fitting rooms.

"I'll wait out here. Make it fast." Rez pleaded.

"Oh? You can come inside and watch me change. I wouldn't mind." I said with a seductive smile.

"That's alright. I can wait." He said, firmly.

I stuck out my tongue, "Suit yourself." I closed the door and locked it to gain privacy. I stripped myself of my clothing and looked at the mirror to see my naked body. How can he resist me? I look absolutely stunning! Looking through the pile of clothes, I found a pair of under garments. It's a habit of mine to not wear anything under my clothes, but I'll try anything to make Rez crave for me. I put on the black bra and panties which looked incredibly kinky, especially how tight the bra was. Then, I wore the red dress, ignoring how my tails were able to fit through. I then opened the door to show Rez. "Don't I look so kawaii in this?" I asked and blew him a kiss.

He gave me a stern look."No... Let's go now."

"If you wanna leave, you have to say how good I look."

*sigh* "You look absolutely quixotic." A fake smile formed on his lips. I stuck out my tongue and went inside to try on other clothes.

After a series of false commetary from Rez on the clothes I tried on, we exited the store with bags full of stuff. Rez insisted to carry them due to his gentlemanly instincts. "I can't believe you bought this much lingerie." He whined.

I patted his back, "Anything to get your attention. Besides, you didn't even have to pay much."

"That's another problem! Why did they give us a 40% discount? I'm not even a woman."

"That's because you're so handsome." I said, pinching his cheek. "So, where do you wanna go now?"

He looked up to the sky. "Well, it's a beautiful day outside. Let's go to the park." He smiled at me and I smiled back.

We walked through the beautiful park of Minerva; full of clean air, and healthy greenery. I wrapped my arms around Rez's as we strolled with my tails waving cheerfully. I knew Rez was enjoying his time, because he had such a bright smile. Things were going great until I noticed something. I saw that people around us were watching; the men in particular, the same men who crowd around me everyday. Their attention was to Rez who was quite oblivious to their gaze. "Who is that guy with our Ahri?" I heard one say to another.

"I dunno, but he looks like a complete tool if you ask me." I moved closer to Rez to try to ignore them.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Rez asked.

I looked up at him. "Nothing really." I thought up of an excuse. "It's just the sun. It's getting pretty hot."

He chuckled,"I can help with that."

Just then, a gust of wind blew, creating a refreshing breeze that cooled my body. It caused the trees to rustle up a bit, making the leaves fall and gracefully glide in the wind. Some kids were able to happily play with their kites. It helped a mother bird teach her hatchlings to fly. The cool breeze even helped me calm down. The park seemed more lively with the wind. All this caused by the man right by my side.

"Is that better?" Rez asked.

I nodded my head, "Yes. Thank you." I looked at him to remember how amazing he was. Rez truly is a great guy.

I looked to see a park bench covered with shade by a tree. "Rez. Let's sit down for a bit."

He looked toward the bench and said, "Oh, yes please. My legs are killing me." I grabbed his wrist and I pulled him over so we can sit. I sat down, using my tails as a cushion for my back. Rez took a seat next to me. As he sat, he yawned and stretched his arms up, laying them on the back rest of the bench. I moved a bit closer to him so I could lay my head on his shoulder and wrap his arm around my neck.

There was a group of women having a picnic near where we were sitting. They were having a conversation loud enough for me to hear. "Hey, do you know that one man named Marshal?" My eyes widened at the sound of his name.

"You mean the leader of that dangerous gang causing trouble down town?"

"Yes, I've heard his bounty had raised due to another escape from prison."

*gasp* "I'm gonna have to keep my children inside and get more security."

"You don't have to worry much about children. You should be more worried about yourself. Women have been reported missing whenever he or his gang are around at night."

"Oh my, what happens to them?"

"What do you think? Of course they're likely to get raped!"

The conversation kept going on whilst I was listening to every word. The person they were talking about was all too familiar with me. The thought about that man remained in my head. "Ahri?" The thought about that man suddenly vanished.

"Yes Rez?"

"Are you alright?" He asked in concern.

"Yeah, just fine."

"You want me to blow the wind again?"

"No need." I said laying my head closer to him.

"Okay, just wanted to know what you wanted to do. I'm getting bored."

"I dunno." I said in the comfort of his arms. "We can talk." I suggested.

He chuckled, "What do you want to talk about?"

I tried to think of something, "I like to wear a lot of red and white, but my favorite color is actually pink." I happily said. "What's yours?"

"Blue." He smiled, "Second is yellow."

"I also noticed that your hair isn't black. It's actually a really, really dark blue." I pointed out.

He ruffled his hair, "Wow. You noticed. That's amazing."

I boasted, "These golden eyes aren't just for attracting attention."

He looked at me skeptically. "Ahri, I wanna know something. Its been bothering me."

"And what's that?" I asked.

He put his hand on my head and starting ruffling my hair. "Your ears. They're on your head."

I moved a bit away from him, "So?"

"Do you have human ears? Your hair is blocking the side of your head where your ears are anatomically supposed to be, so it's hard to tell." He reached his hand to the side of my head.

I smacked it away. "Don't you dare." I glared at him.

He pulled his hand away and started rubbing it. "Okay then." He said, frightened. (Nobody must know. Nobody! It's a secret to all!)

I stuck out my tongue playfully. "I'm just kidding. But seriously, don't even try." He nodded. "What's your favorite food?" I asked to keep the conversation going.

He smiled as he seemed to like this topic, "Ironically, I'm not very much into seafood, but shrimp. I love me some shrimp, especially tempura." He said. That was great to hear. I know of a place that makes great shrimp.

"For me, I don't have a favorite food. I just like sweets." I said, smiling. "So, when is your birthday?"

He was silent a bit, "I dunno." He said, plainly.

"What? How can you not... Oh, yeah. I'm sorry." I apologized, remembering what he told me last night.

"No, its fine." There was an awkward air between us.

"Just to let you know, my birthday is on September 9th."

He looked up at the weather, "Hmm, it's May right now. I'll keep that in mind." He smiled at me. Assuring that everything was fine.

I heard a growling sound coming from Rez's stomach. "I'm a bit hungry." He said, rubbing it.

"Oh! Then its a good thing I brought food from the store." I looked in my bag of food. Searching through what I had, I thought of an idea. "Hey, Rez. Lets play a game."

"Umm...sure. But, I don't know how that solves my hunger problem."

"Don't worry, it deals with food." From my bag, I took out a box of Pocky(the chocolate stick things). Taking out a stick, I held one tip of it on my mouth. Rez gave me a strange look until he moved closer to my mouth. I closed my eyes to brace for a kiss.

In a moment, I heard a snap and felt the stick break off. I opened my eyes to see Rez eating the Pocky. "This tastes pretty good." He said.

"Rez! We're supposed to play the Pocky Game!" I yelled in frustration.

He furrowed his eyebrows, "I don't even know what that is!" He retorted back.

I guess I'll have to explain how the game goes, "Its simple. Two people get one stick of Pocky. They place each end on their mouth and they eat the Pocky as they get closer until eventually, their lips come into contact."(I think... go search it up)

Rez contemplated about it for a few seconds, "Well if you want a kiss, then-" He leaned over and planted a kiss on my cheek. Surprised, I jumped back and I felt my face heat up as I blushed.

I felt abashed, "W-Wh-What are you doing!?" I asked, embarassed.

He shrugged his shoulders. "I thought you wanted a kiss."

"L-Let's just play the game." I calmed myself down and took out another chocolate stick. "Now hold the other end on your mouth." I said, putting one end in my lips. He followed what I had told him and we were now facing each other with a stick of Pocky between our lips. Our faces inched closer together as we slowly consumed the stick. Only a fragment of the Pocky could be seen as our lips were coming closer. Rez's face was directly in front of mine, the tip of our noses touched, and my heart was beating fast. We looked into each other's eyes and he smiled. Before our lips even came into contact, I broke off the half as I pulled away, embarrassed. I put my hands on my blushing face and turned away.

"Pfft... HAHAHAHAHA!" Rez laughed surprisingly loud. "Hahaha.. That was great! Ahaha!"

"Hey! What's so funny!? Why are you laughing!?" I asked, slightly annoyed by his sudden outburst.

He wiped a tear from his eye, "I dunno. We were just so close. Hehehe..."

"Well then, if that's how it is." I folded my arms and looked away from him, closing my eyes. "Hmph."

"Aww, come on now." He had a playful tone in his voice. "It was funny."

"Well, aren't you two the cutest." I heard a feminine voice say in front of us.

I looked to see a beautiful woman with a long brown ponytail. She had on a plain light-green dress and was carrying a few bags. "Akali!" I got up and greeted her with a big smile and a kiss on the cheek.

"Hello, Ahri! Its been so long. How are you doing?" My ninja friend happily asked..

I answered, "Everything's going great."

"Who's this?" Rez asked, as gregarious as he was.

"Oh, Hello. I'm Akali, but we've already met before." Akali bowed in respect.

Rez was confused, "Really? When?"

"In your first match." I told him, "Akali was the female Ninja."

"You're the scary green ninja lady!?" Rez was surprised, "But you seem so nice!"

Akali put a hand to her cheek, "Why, thank you." She said, ignoring the 'scary' part.

"Wait, why are you two so friendly?" Rez asked. "During the match, you two were so dead-locked on killing each other."

"That's because we are very competitive. On the Fields of Justice, be it friend or foe, Ahri and I compete for a higher kill score." Akali strangely said, with a smile. "Other than that, we are very good friends. So friendly, in fact, that we even had-"

"Akali, don't tell him that!" I yelled to avoid her from bringing up that night.

She put a hand to her mouth. "Oops! My bad." She giggled.

Rez scratched his head, "I don't know what you two are talking about, but why are you out in the open like this?" He asked. "Aren't ninjas supposed to be sneaky."

"Hey! Ninjas have a life too." Akali smiled, "I'm only here to run some errands. Shen is also here with me."

I looked around, "Where is he?" I asked, trying to find him.

She grinned and said, "That's how good of a ninja he is."

"Actually, I can sense his presence." Rez interrupted. "I can feel his heat signature on this tree." He looked up to the tree above us. "Although, I can't seem to see him. That's pretty cool."

"Anyway, I came over because I wanted to ask. Ahri, what are you doing with the new guy?"

"Excuse me?" I asked. "What do you mean?"

"I was walking through the park and I see you, Ahri, being cute with Rez over here." She whispered in my ear. "Does he have something you want? Are you trying a new method of seduction? You don't normally do something like this."

I shook my head, "Oh, no. Nothing like that." I looked to Rez. "And for your information, Rez and I are on a date."

"A date?"

I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his chest, "That's right. He's my new boyfriend."

"Your boyfriend, eh?" She sounded amused.

Rez had just realized, "Oh yeah. I forgot we were that."

"Has he done anything to you? Is this blackmail!?"

"No, Akali!" I started to get annoyed. "I finally found someone and we are gonna be together forever!" I tightened my grip.

"Oh my! That's great, Ahri!" She brought her hands together and looked to Rez. "Now let me see what being of this universe was able to take the heart of my little fox friend." Akali walked up to Rez and observed him closely. Rez just stood there, stolid while ninja girl looked at him. After a moment, I saw a light blush form on Akali's face which surprised me. "Oh my! Looking up close, you're pretty handsome." She said.

Rez scratched his head, "Umm... thanks. I guess..."

She turned to me, "Ahri, you care to trade with me?"

"...What!?"

She put on a deceptive smile, "Let me have this man right here. You can take Shen." She leaned on Rez and traced her fingers around Rez's chest.

I started to get flustered, "Get your hands off him!" I demanded, pulling Rez's arm toward me.

Akali did the same. "Aww, come on. How about one night? Shen is really great in bed." Akali tried to persuade me.

I yelled, "Step off! He's mine."

"Don't I get a say in this?" Rez asked as he was being pulled back and forth.

"No! Shut up!" I yelled.

Akali interfered, "Why not? Lets see what Rez really thinks." She looked at Rez with a seductive gaze. "So what do you say? Want to hang with me for a bit?" She waited for an answer.

Rez thought about what to say, "Gee... that sounds like fun." He softly smiled, "But I promised Ahri I wouldn't ever leave her." He looked toward me. "...Ever." I blushed at his words and hugged him tightly. "Plus, it was a pretty stupid question. I barely even know you."

"Aww, That's too bad." Akali pouted, "Welp, that concludes my inspection." She clapped her hands together and smiled. "You're a very lucky girl to have found such a man, Ahri."

I was dumbstruck, "You were playing around?"

She playfully stuck out her tongue, "You know how much I love to tease you, Ahri. You should've known." I sighed in relief. "I wanted to see if this guy was trustworthy, so I put on an act."

"You don't have to worry about anything Akali. I'm perfectly happy with Rez." I assured her. "And if you try that again, I will burn you."

She giggled, "No promises." She looked to Rez, "You make sure to take care of her. If she gets hurt in any way, I will personally murder you in your sleep." She said, in a sweet smile.

Suddenly, she looked up at the tree and nodded. It was probably Shen telling her something as told by Rez who said he was up there. "It seems I have taken much of your time. I should be going now." She took a bow before leaving. "See you later."

"Bye, Akali." I waved goodbye.

"Is she always that scary?" Rez asked.

"Not really. She is really a darling once you get to know her."

Akali is one of my closest friends; right next to Sona. Although, if your not careful, she will destroy you. Not through death, but through other means. Hidden underneath that endearing smile are venomous fangs that will bite you once your caught off-guard. Its kind of like me in a way, but I'm a fox. Her beauty rivals even mine; from her long flowing auburn hair to her extremely smooth skin. That gives us a competitive attitude not only through the League, but in men. Now that I think of it, we are more like frenemies.

Noticing the sun go down, I patted Rez's chest and walked down the paved path. "Lets go."

He raised an eyebrow, "Where are we going?"

"I know your hungry and I know of a good restaurant." I turned and smiled.

"Yes!" He exclaimed, grabbing the bags and following after. "Is it a good restaurant?"

I giggled, "You'll see."

We sat down on a table in 'Gourmet le Minerva'. Not a French restaurant, but a restaurant with the name of the city on it. I persuaded our host to lead us to the 2nd floor balcony with a full view of the city rooftops. The restaurant had such a nice atmosphere: good lighting, soothing music, and a beautiful sight, especially with the sun set and all. The table we were led to was reserved by some other people, but the host deliberately made an exception once I 'kindly' asked; without using my charm either(what a loser). I mean, what is the Head Council of the Institute of War going to do at such a restaurant? Eat? Please, feeding my love matters way more to me. It will be even better once the sun is down and the city lights turn on.

"Woah! Look at all this food!" Rez was drooling over the menu and its variety of dishes.

I giggled, "You must be really hungry." I said.

"No. I just wanna eat." He replied.

In a moment, a young waiter came over to our table. "Welcome to Gourmet le Minerva, Sir and Madam. What will you be having this wonderful evening?" He said with a hint of some foreign language. Probably French.

"What do you have in mind?" I asked an excited Rez.

He took a good look at the menu, "This looks nice, but I'm allergic. Chicken seems good, but I hate chicken. Maybe...Oh! I want this!" He held the menu in front of the waiter and pointed to his order like some child.

I looked at him strangely, "Are you sure?" He nodded. "Okay... one of that." I told the waiter. "I'll skip to desserts and have a slice of Tiramisu(Don't know what it is. Search it up.)" I gave him a little wink.

He gulped and wrote down in a notepad. "And for your beverages?" He asked, "May I interest you in some exotic wine or a glass of champagne?"

"Nah, I'm too young." Rez replied, "Can I get some soda? That'll be great."

"I'll just have a glass of water." I told the waiter.

"Alright, soda and water..." The waiter seemed unamused. "Will that be all?" He asked.

"Yes. I expect our order to arrive soon." I blew him a kiss.

A slight blush formed on the waiter's cheek. "Y-Yes, ma'am." With that, he took off.

"What'd you do?" Rez asked.

"I charmed him." I said. "To make sure we get good service." I was surprised to hear what Rez said. Too young? I wondered what he meant by that. "Rez, how old are you?"

"Hmm? Oh, a few months." He answered.

I was shocked, "A few months!?"

He thought about it for a second, "Maybe five."

"How are you five months old!?"

He sighed, "I was created in a lab five months ago, but the person whom I was cloned from was biologically twenty. That's all they told me. I don't know when my birthday is. Don't you listen to anything?"

I nodded and said, "I get it. Then I guess we're not so different." I smiled.

He looked intrigued, "Oh, Really?"

"Before I turned human, I was about a few years old, which is almost 18 in fox years. So after I transformed, I had an adult body. I've been like this for about five years."

He took a minute to comprehend the information I told him, "So, you're 23?" He asked.

"That's right." I stuck my tongue out. "I'm older than you by three years."

He shrugged his shoulders, "Meh. I don't really care."

A blush came over me, "Well, I'm glad to be dating a younger man."

The waiter came up with our two beverages on a tray, "Here are your drinks." He placed the cola in front of Rez and the water in front of me. "Your food will be given to you in a moment." He took a bow and left.

Rez took a sip of his drink. Then, In a split second, he spat it out the balcony railing. "That bastard waiter!" He cried.

Concerned, I asked, "What's wrong!? Is there anything in the drink?"

Wiping his mouth, he answered, "Damn soda is diet!" He held out his tongue. I put a hand to my face and sighed. I looked to my surroundings and saw the other diners staring at us. I turned away from their gaze, embarrassed.

"Here are your orders." The waiter came and said. "One all-you-can-eat shrimp buffet." Rez smiled as some big guy came over carrying a huge grail full of jumbo shrimp with various dip in the middle. The waiter continued, "And one tiramisu." A small plate was placed in front of me with the square coffee-flavored Italian dessert on it. "Please enjoy." The waiter took a bow and left along with the other big waiter.

"Wow Ahri, that charm sure is effective. We didn't even have to wait long." Rez took a piece of shrimp, dipped in some honey mustard and ate it. "You should use it more often."

"I will..." A sly smirk came over my face, "...on you."

He chuckled, "tch... That won't happen. You know that."

"Just you wait. " I paused, showing a hopeful countenance. "One day, charm or no charm, I will make you fall for me."

He raised an eyebrow toward me and asked, "Is that your goal?" I thought about it for a moment then nodded. He smiled greatly, "Then you better work hard for that; It won't be easy."

I smiled back. "Oh, who do you think I am?"

"Who do you think I am? But, enough talking. Lets eat." Rez halted me, grabbing a handful of shrimp and swallowing it in one gulp. I giggled and took a bite out of my dessert.

After about ten minutes, Rez finished half of the shrimp on his grail. The food on my plate was all gone. I let Rez finish it because I wasn't really hungry. I looked to my side, gazing upon a panorama of Minerva's rooftops under the moonlit night. "Its beautiful isn't it?" I turned to Rez who was also staring at the scenic view, leaning against his chair, arms folded.

I agreed. "It really is."

"Better than the sunset at home?" Rez asked.

I shrugged, "I dunno."

Rez smiled at me. "You know Ahri, I like that about us. About how we both enjoy scenic views." He chuckled. "I'm sure others think the same, but I like it when your around." I looked at him. "While I was exploring the land, I found some really good views somewhere along some valleys and around the beaches. We should go there."

I blushed a bit. "There are places I'd like to see." I put on a look of wonder. "There are these aurora that show up in the Freljord from time to time, and also the stars that shine above the Shurima desert, I heard the stars shine brightest there, also there is this beautiful rainbow that appear after a heavy rainstorm over the Kumungu jungle, and I always imagined looking out over the horizon from the tallest point of Mount Gargantuan."

Rez looked at me as if he had an idea in his head. "What?" I asked.

"Oh nothing." He looked back at the view of the city. "Just an idea in my head."

The waiter came back and placed a thin booklet on the table, "Sir and Madam, here is your check."

Rez was still eating, so I took the little booklet in my hands. "Thank you." I told the waiter.

Opening the check, my eyes grew wide upon seeing the receipt inside. I cleared my throat. "Will you please give us a moment." I said with a smile.

The young waiter bowed and left. "What's wrong?" Rez asked chewing on a piece of shrimp. I held the paper in front of his face to get a good look of it. He spat out whatever shrimp he was eating. "What the hell!? How are we gonna pay for that!? 13k gold is too much! Plus service charge!"

"It's your fault!" I scolded to him. "You just had to get your shrimp."

"Oh, really?" Rez took a look at the check. "Well, according to the bill, it seems that majority of the payment goes toward a certain coffee dessert at the cost of exactly 10,000 gold." He gave me a sort of 'in yo face' kind of look.

"Whatever! Anyway, are you able to pay for this?"

Rez furrowed his eyebrows, "Me? I used up all my money to but your damn lingerie!" He said, holding up the shopping bag.

I sighed, "I guess I can try charming the waiter."

As the waiter approached our table, I prepared an act. "Ma'am how will you be paying for the course?"

Putting on a cute smile, I told the waiter. "Oh. About that, I was hoping you would give us a bit of a discount on it."

"Excuse me?" He asked. I blew a kiss to him and watched as the little heart floated to his cheek. His body shook a bit. "Oh, hello there lovely miss. Are you in need of my assistance?" He asked, blind by my charm.

I playfully giggled and said, "Well, I was just wondering if such a handsome young man as yourself would be so kind as to give a discount to a poor woman like me. Probably even make it free." I fluttered my eyelashes to add in to the effect.

The waiter stood tall, "Policy number 138 states that no waiter is permitted to give away any form of payment reduction under any circumstance. Host's honor." He recited and gave out a salute.

I shook a fist. Dammit! A man of priority.

Rez looked as if an idea came to his head. He pointed to a table and yelled, "Look! A customer is putting their elbow on the table."

The waiter turned around. "Where!?" He exclaimed. "You there! Get your filthy elbow off that table!"

With swift movement, Rez grabbed our bags and jumped over the balcony railing completely hidden from the distracted waiter. I was surprised by this sudden act of stealth.

The waiter looked back to us. "Thank you for your...hmm?...Where did the man go?"

Using my cunning fox wits, I covered for Rez. "Oh, he left to... use the restroom... He'll be back in a bit."

"I see. Well if you're in need of any assistance, please do not hesitate to ask." He took a bow and left.

I exhaled in relief. In a moment, I saw Rez's hand snatch the remaining shrimp in the bowl. I chuckled at how much he priorities his food.

"Miss, I'm sorry, but will you be able to pay for your meal?" The waiter said, seeing as he came back.

I started to grow nervous. Do I keep stalling him or just make a run for it? Rez wouldn't leave me just like that. Would he? "Umm...Well...I..." Just then, I saw a spark lit on the tip of the waiter's hair. "Umm... sir, your hair."

He smiled brightly, "Oh! I did get a new haircut just this morning. Thanks for noticing."

I could hear the sizzling coming from the embers of the flames. "No! Your hair. It's on fire!"

"That's right!" He said blindly happy. "This is the hottest new hairstyle, 'Fiery Passion'. It's so hot, I can feel the heat." He moved his hand to his head to feel his hair. His eyes grew wide. "Aghhhh! My hair! It's on fire!" With that, he ran straight for the kitchen; as I sat there, baffled by the sudden event.

All of a sudden, I felt a hand tug on my clothes. Then, with such force, it pulled me down from the balcony. Next thing I knew, I was crouching on a rooftop aside Rez with a piece of shrimp in his mouth. "Rez! Don't scare me like that."

He put a finger to my lips, "Shh." He whispered, "Hurry. We gotta run before we they find out."

Quickly, he grabbed on to my wrists and he sped through the rooftops of Minerva quite ninja-like.

A few distances from the restaurant, and Rez made a halt on top of some building and started laughing. "What's so funny?" I asked him.

"Hahahaha...whoo! That was great!" He settled down a bit. "The feeling of a chase can really boost a man's adrenaline: and I'm laughing from lighting the guy's hair on fire."

"That was you?" I was surprised. I didn't think he would do such a thing.

"Of course. Wasn't it hilarious?" He said and continued his laughter.

I also let out a few chuckles. "Well, maybe a little bit." I looked around the area. "Can we get down from here? I don't feel comfortable on these dark rooftops."

"Sure." He walked up to the edge of the building and looked down. "We can go down from here. Come on." He motioned for me to come closer. I walked up to him and he put his arm around my shoulder. I blushed as he did. In a moment, he jumped down and we landed in a dark alleyway.

"This is a lot darker than it was up there." I complained, brushing the dirt off my clothes.

"Don't worry. Just follow me." We made our way out of the dark alley and stumbled upon a large, bright area. "Ahri, where are we?" Rez asked.

"We're in Central Minerva." The very center of Minerva. It was a large, round area paved with cobblestone, and in the middle was a big fountain filled with the city's cleanest water. Several trees formed a perimeter around the fountain from a distance. There were four paths on each side of Central Minerva. The northern path leads to the city's managerial office. The eastern path is where the shops and markets are held. The western path is where the citizens reside along with the park. The southern path is where the entrance is and the road to the Institute of War. It's currently night time so the street lights lit up the area. It was bright in the central, but the paths were a bit more dimly lit.

"This place is nice." Rez said as he walked up to the fountain. "Ahri, there are coins in here." I walked up to the fountain to find an assortment of many different coins in the water.

"Yeah. People come over and make wishes by tossing coins in." I explained to Rez. "Some say the wishes may even come true."

Rez seemed amused as he asked. "Would you like to make a wish?"

"Haha! Sure." I answered. Rez took out a small golden coin from his pocket and handed it over to me. After thinking about what I should wish for, I tossed the coin in the air. It made a few spins until splashing down into the water. "Are you going to make a wish?" I asked Rez.

"Nope. I don't believe wishes coming true from a simple coin toss. You're gonna have to work hard to make your wishes come true. It's a fun little concept though." I raised an eyebrow at him "What?" He asked.

"You're so corny."

"S-shut up!" A slight blush formed on his face from embarrassment, which I thought was pretty cute. "What did you wish for anyway?" He asked out of curiosity.

"Hmm? Oh, I can't say." I put a finger to my lips. "Otherwise it won't come true." I walked close to him and wrapped my arms around his. "Well, the nights still young. What do you want to do?" I said, laying my head on his shoulder.

Rez shrugged. "Let's just go for a walk." He suggested and made our way to one of the paths.

The night was perfect. Here I was, alongside Rez as we walked down the beautiful streets of Minerva. The street lights were able to give off a very romantic atmosphere along with the moonlight. It felt as if Rez and I were the only ones here despite the streets being densely populated. I'm glad I got to be here with him; although, something has been bothering me for a bit. When I looked at other couples along the road, I felt that something was off between me and Rez. "Hey, Rez."

"Yeah? What's up?" He asked.

We stopped walking and I faced to a distant couple. "Lets do just like them."

He looked to see what I was talking about. He put on a shocked expression. "You wanna smoke!?" He asked surprised.

"No! No! Look at their hands." I confirmed to clear the confusion. "Lets hold hands."

He chuckled. "Hehe. Sure. You don't need to tell me."

With that, I slide my hand down his arm and I placed my palm firmly in his. I felt a moment of content from just doing this. "Ahri..."

"Hmm?" I looked down and saw Rez's hand shuffling through mine until our fingers intertwined and locked between each socket.

"If you wanna hold hands, do it right." He said with a kind smile.

I blushed at this surprising act of romance. It seems that behind Rez's foolishness, he really is a gentleman. I laid my head on his shoulder and used my free hand to tightly grasp Rez's arm. I also wrapped my tails around Rez and myself. "Ahri?"

"Oh, I'm just cold." I said as an excuse to bring ourselves together.

"If you want, I could heat us up a bit-"

"No. This is just fine." It could be even described as perfect. Just me and Rez walking the beautiful streets of Minerva, under the lights of the lamps and moon, completely oblivious to our surroundings. "Hey Rez, I... Rez!" The atmosphere completely changed.

"What!?"

"What are you eating!?" I asked in disgust.

He looked to his hand and saw that he took a bite out of a slimy, green egg. He gulped whatever chunk of egg was in his mouth. "Yeah, I have a problem..."

"My goodness, Rez. If you're still hungry, we can get a cheap meal." I looked around to find that we were in down town and I spotted a familiar bar. "There. We can grab a quick bite in that bar."

"Over there?" His voice was a little shaky. "I don't know..."

"Come on!" I started to drag him, seeing as he was so hesitant. "What are you so scared of?"

"It's not that I'm scared. I just don't quite enjoy the atmosphere in a bar." He started getting harder to pull.

"Oh don't worry! I've been to this place several times. It's not that bad. The bartender is actually quite nice."

We entered the bar through the western style doors and in a moment all eyes were on us. I guess this was why Rez was so hesitant to come inside. The attention coming from a room full of drunken men was really transfixing. The guys in here looked pretty scary, some dirty, and some even pretty masculine. Not just the guys, but even some of the women. Although I kept my cool. "Hey guys!" I said with a smile.

"Oh, its Ahri!"

"Hey foxy!"

"Haven't seen you in weeks."

The people here knew me, although I barely even know who the hell they were. I am so popular. The life of a kitsune can be so hard at times.

Soon, the people returned to their previous tasks. "See, Rez? This place isn't so bad." I looked at him. "Rez?" He stood there, shaking on the spot. "Rez, would you calm down? We're just gonna get some food and then we're out." Rez nodded and stopped his shaking. "All right then." I said. We walked up to the counter and took our seats.

A short man with an orange moustache in about his late 40's came up to us from behind the counter. He was cleaning a glass cup with a rag. "Hello Ahri. Whatcha need? The usual?" He spoke in a rough voice.

I shook my head. "Not tonight, Sargag. Just get us something cheap to eat."

"Us? Oh, I see you uh... 'charmed' another sucker." He examined Rez who was playing around with his rotating chair. "He seems a lot cleaner than from what I've seen of the other men you bring. He not from around here is he."

I jumped. "Oh no! It's not like that. This time is different."

"Different?" He shrugged his shoulders, "Oh well. I'll whip up somethin' in a jiffy."

"Thanks you." Sargag was a genuinely nice guy. As the barkeep, he keeps his bar neat and clean. He also makes sure that he manages and runs things smoothly in this place. If anyone were to cause trouble, Sargag would literally kick 'em out in the blink of an eye. One time, he got a couple of drunkards off my back by putting a little laxative in their drink. The poor souls. He's so kind as to treat me as his own niece.

"By the way, Ahri. How's my big ol' cousin doin' in the league?" Sargag asked.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Oh, the same as ever. Tossing those barrels and drinking during a fight." I murmured at how annoying Gragas was.

He chuckled, "Well, I'm glad to hear. So, besides anything 'different', is there anything new?"

I put a finger to my lips and thought about it. "Hmm... oh! I started living in a tree."

Sargag raised an eyebrow. "A tree?"

"Uh huh." I nodded. "I helped Rez build a treehouse in the forest along the road, so now I'm gonna be living there."

"Rez?" He looked to the man next to me. "Well that's good... Good for you." He took notice at some rough-housing in the bar. "Hey! You over there! Settle down!" He got out from behind the counter to rectify the problem.

I looked to Rez and saw that he was still uneasy. "Rez? Is anything wrong?" He nodded as a sign that everything was fine, but I still couldn't help but worry.

"Ahri!" I heard a familiar voice call out my name from my right. I looked to my side and saw a man sitting on a couch. He had his arms around the shoulders of two girls sitting beside him. His voice was rather brash as he spoke. "Hey girl. where'd you been?" He stood up from the couch and slowly walked over to me, the two girls followed behind him. "I missed ya girly. How ya' doin'?" With him up so close, he was noticeably large with a built body; more masculine than Rez.

I responded. "Oh, Hello...umm... I'm sorry. I can't seem to remember your name." I put on a friendly act. "Although, you do seem very familiar."

I knew the guy alright. His name was Marshal, leader of the local gang in down town Minerva. People all around Minerva have been talking about him lately. I've even seem some wanted posters lying around. He was dangerous as he was feared in these parts.

"Of course! How can you forget me?" He had such a big ego. "After all, you did say I was the biggest you've done it with." He said the last part with such pride and my eyes grew wide from it.

The girls behind him started giggling. "What's wrong Ahri? You think I would forget even after you charm me after we have sex? Heck, ain't nobody gonna forget a night sleeping with you. We even did it several times because you felt so good with me."

"Umm... I...-"

"Foxy, don't you remember? All the boys in this pub had at least one night with you." Some drunk guy in the background joined along the conversation. "But boss over there just had to have you all to himself." Some men in the bar laughed.

"Marshal that's enough! You Leave her alone." Sargag begun to scold him to stop, but to no avail.

"Shut up old man. Want me to wreck more than just this place?" Sargag backed off and Marshal looked toward me. "So Ahri, how about coming to my place tonight for old times sake?"

I started to get nervous. I wanted to forget all those nights ever since I've been with Rez, but I guess I set a trap of my own once I entered those doors.

I was wondering why Rez was so silent. Maybe, he's trying to tell me that I have to face my own problems. I glanced at Rez who just sat there quietly, but I couldn't help but notice his hand clenched into a fist.

Feeling a bit pressured, I blurted out. "I'm sorry, but I'm with here with someone else." I covered my mouth. I didn't intend to involve Rez in this situation.

Marshal raised an eyebrow and looked at Rez. "Tch. This scrawny bastard?" He walked to Rez's side and examined him closely. "Hey, pretty boy. How ya doin'?" After a few words of nothing coming from Rez's mouth, Marshal said. "I see. Not much of a talker are ya huh? Well, at least tell me your name."

Rez loosened the grip of his fist and finally, with a smirk, he decided to talk, "Hello there. My name is Rez. Nice to meet you." Much to my surprise, Rez was going for a more friendly approach. He bore a kind smile and held out his arm for a handshake.

In a second, Marshal burst out in laughter. The rest of the bar followed him out of amusement. Next thing I knew, Marshal grabbed Rez's head, smashing his face down on the counter and shattered a few wine glasses in the process. "Rez!" I shouted, concerned. The men and women of the bar continued to laugh.

"Do you know who I am?" Marshal grabbed Rez's wine soaked hair and dropped him on the floor. "Before you prance the streets of this city, you're gonna have to remember who rules this part of town." Rez laid there with a blank stare before Marshal took a bottle of Gin and poured it on his face. It pained me to watch Rez being treated this way. I wanted to do something, but I didn't have my orb with me, so there's not much I can do. "How can you be with someone so pathetic Ahri? Are you stupid or something?" The words coming from his mouth disturbed me. "I mean look at me and look at him. Who do ya think can pleasure you more?"

"I'm sorry." Rez coughed a bit before standing up. He grabbed a nearby rag and started wiping himself with it. "I'm sorry, but can you please not talk to her like that? I apologize for any misunderstandings."

Marshal smirked. "What's wrong? Afraid she's gonna leave you?" He chuckled. "Why wouldn't she after all the times she came from my dick." I gulped. I didn't want Rez to hear any of this. I was afraid that Rez might leave me. "Come back to my place Ahri. Your still my favorite girl." I started to get distressed from every word and I could tell Rez started getting annoyed by his shaking fist. "What happened to you Ahri? It was just a month ago when you craved for my cum. You wanted to suck me dry so badly." He looked to Rez and saw him breathing heavily out of anger. Marshal smirked. "What are you gonna do about it?"

I stood from my chair and attempted to slap Marshal across his filthy mouth, but was futile as he grabbed my wrist. "Woah! Ahri, you always surprise me with your enthusiasm. You better save that energy for later in bed."

He started tugging on my hand. "Hey! Let go!" I started to resist, but he started pulling me more violently with each tug.

"Come on baby. Don't be like tha-" Marshal's grip loosened as Rez took hold of his wrist. "Woah! Hey kid, anyone tell you not to be a hero?"

I took a few steps back and massaged my wrist. I could guess what Rez was thinking of doing next. I watched in anxiety as Rez was going to toss Marshal around so badly that Marshal may lose his reputation.

"Don't touch her." He then let go of Marshal's arm.

...

What? That's it? I was expecting all hell to break loose in this place. I didn't think he'd be so passive about this.

"Pfft. Bwahahaha!" Marshal and the rest of the bar broke out in laughter. I started to get nervous and a bit chagrin from the situation we're currently in.

"Hahaha! You-" Marshal was silenced after looking at Rez. The look in his eyes were so intense, it may even make the greatest beasts cower in fear. I could even feel a baneful aura resonating from his body.

"Ahri, lets go." was all Rez said. Out of a mixture of fear and respect, I complied to his command and made my way to the door. Keeping my gaze upon the two men in the center of the room. I witnessed Rez just staring Marshal down(or up in accordance to height). I've never seen so much pressure placed on Marshal even so that sweat trickled down his forehead.

Without a word, Rez turned his body and walked away leaving Marshal still and speechless. Rez exited through the door, leaving the scene and I followed after.

Now we're back in the streets of Minerva. I was hoping Rez wasn't bothered from back there. But who wouldn't be? That event was such a disaster. "Welp." Rez grinned. "I hope you learned something Ahri."

I was surprised by his upbeat attitude. "And what's that?"

He looked to an empty space and pointed. "Don't drink kids! Live above the influence!" He snapped his fingers to a thumbs up and flashed a smile!

I looked at him so confused. "What are you doing?"

"Just sending a message to anyone reading this." He smiled. "I'm getting tired. Let's sit down." We found a bench alongside the sidewalk. It was well lit due to the street light hanging over it. We were a good distance away from the bar, but I hoped we could be somewhere a bit further away from it.

I shook my head and brushed away my thoughts. I wanted to know why Rez was acting so strange earlier. Maybe there is just some part of him I don't even know about. "Rez." He turned his head toward me. I was quite nervous. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked. It's as if the memory of what just happened vanished from his head.

I stood up from the bench and faced him. "Why are you acting like that!?" I yelled at him, causing a confused look on his face. "While in there, you were so silent until Marshal was all up in your face! He even had the nerve to toss you around like that and you just apologize!? Why are you acting so different!?"

Rez raised an eyebrow. "Who's acting different?"

"You! The way you were so calm about everything."

"What do you suppose I should have done?"

"You-" I paused for a bit. "You-You should have... I don't know."

He sighed. "If you were expecting violence, then that's what I was trying to refrain from doing." He smiled. "I mean, we were having such a good time beforehand right? I was even trying to be friends, but I guess he thought otherwise."

Now that I think of it, this was because of me. Rez didn't want this, I deliberately dragged him down with me. I frowned and looked to the ground. "I- I'm sorry Rez." I let out a tiny sniffle. "This was all my fault. I brought you to that place even after you said not to." I felt a few tears fall from my eye. "And y-you wouldn't have gotten hurt like that if I- *sniffle* if I hadn't have brought you there. I-"

"Ahri, stop." Rez stood from his seat. With a firm grip on my shoulders, he told me this, "There was nothing wrong you intentionally did right? You don't need to beat yourself up for it. You just wanted to give me some food." He chuckled. "If you really think about it, it was because of me and my insatiable hunger. Its quite funny actually. Hehehe"

"I'm sorry, I just-"

"Stop saying sorry!"

"No! Its just... I'm also really bothered by what they said back there." I looked down to my side and started rubbing my arm nervously. "I didn't want you to hear any of that. I was hoping it would all go away ever since I met you." I looked to Rez and back. "I bet now you think I'm some whore and you're probably gonna leave me."

"Hey now! Don't talk like that!" With a finger, he held my chin and gently turned my head to face him. "Don't worry about any of that. It doesn't matter what you did in the past; as long as it doesn't affect the future, hopefully." He showed me a serene smile and my cheeks started heating up. "And didn't I promise you just this morning? I said I wasn't ever going to leave you!"

"Rez!" I cried and planted my face in his chest as I enveloped him in a tight hug.

"Besides, how long have we known each other? About a week? Yeah, you should at least know me by that amount of time."

"But why were you so silent back there?"

"Hmm?"

I raised my head. "You were so quiet and did nothing while he treated you that way. Why was that? I thought you would be a bit more aggressive."

He smirked. "Tch. That guy's nothing! I don't need to waist a single speck of energy on someone as pathetic as him! I only act once the people around me are threatened."

I snuggled back into his chest as I laughed.

Rez groaned. "Ahri, what am I gonna do with you?" He patted my head.

I giggled. "I love you."

"Yeah, yeah. C'mon, let's go home."

We held hands just like before and I held his arm with my free hand. With that, we turned to head for home.

"Rez, do you think-"

I felt something like a rope wrap around my neck. Swift and suddenly, it pulled me back. Letting go of Rez's hand, I fell and hit the ground. "Ahri!?" Rez looked back in astonishment. It dragged me on the ground, pulling me by the neck. I would've choked if I hadn't had tugged and loosened it.

"Sorry for ruining a touching moment, but you just pissed me off." I felt a hand tug on my hair, forcing me to get up. As I stood, I looked to see Marshal and a few of his men. Some were holding guns and knives. I saw one of them hold the rope attached to my neck and the person gripping my hair was none other than Marshal. They tied my hands together, ensuring I wouldn't do anything. "Do you think you could humiliate me in front of my gang and go out unscathed!?"

I was a good distance apart from Rez. "Marshal! What are you doing!? Let me go!" I yelled at him from the top of my lungs.

A knife was held at my throat as Marshal pulled back my head. "Shut up! If you know what's good for ya." I had to comply with his command in order to keep my head from leaving my neck. Rez got ready in a stance that looked like he would ram a wall. "Woah! Calm down pretty boy, otherwise foxy here would get more than just a scar on her neck."

Rez sighed and said some inaudible cursing while scratching his head. "Rez, don't worry. I'll be fine." I assured him.

I felt cold steel press closer against my neck. "Foxy, didn't I say not to talk? And what are you talking about? Fine? You wouldn't be after what I'm goin' to do with ya."

Rez's hand formed into a fist out of sheer anger. Marshal took notice and grinned maliciously. "That's right! You listenin' pretty boy? After I'm done with you, I'm bringin' this little fox to my place for a major gangbang!" My eyes widened and I grew terrified of what these scoundrels may do to me. "Ain't that right boys!?" His men laughed ever so deviously. What did these filthy creatures have on their foul minds.

"I'm telling you right now to let her go." Rez began to act up. "If I see a single cut on her, I won't show mercy."

"What's a little teddy bear like you gonna do? Grow huge and set on fire? Hahaha! Or maybe you'll put on a diving suit and hit me with a drill?" I facepalmed to those two huge references. "You know, I really have no need of Ahri. Maybe after I rape her, I might kill her; or vice-versa. Either way she's still gonna die."

Outraged from his plan, I decided to burn the rope with my foxfire flame. Having freed my hands, I headbutt the guy holding the knife to my throat, knocking him out. Then, I proceeded to claw Marshal's face out. He was surprised by my sudden act that I was able to scratch his cheek, but his grip on my hair was too strong that he pulled on it hard. I winced from the pain, allowing him to slap me hard across my face. "Agh!"

"Stupid girl! What do you-"

The next thing happened way too fast. It was so fast, I felt time stop to give me a brief image of what happened. I saw Marshal complete and utterly wrecked by Rez's fist against his face. Marshal's hand let go of my hair, setting me free. The facial expression on Rez was just monstrous; the look in his eyes were so intense, they were bloodshot red. And I think I could see a trail of steam coming from his whole body. Then time continued to move. Marshal's body flew across the air and crashed into the bar, shattering glass and breaking tables. Thankfully, no one was hit.

Rez landed on his feet and shook his fist. The sound of steam sizzled in the air. I was too astonished for words. Rez seemed to be in state of rage and anger. He turned to the remaining men, shocked by such a feat. "Go away," was all Rez said to have them heading for the hills.

"Rez, that was-"

Rez raised a hand, silencing me and looked towards the bar. "This guy is so stubborn." In the bar, a pile of debris started moving and out popped a badly injured Marshal. His body was bleeding in mostly everywhere and he was covered with broken glass and splinters. Rez slowly marched over to him as I followed carefully from a safe distance.

"What the hell!?" Marshal exclaimed, in shock and awe. "That hurt!" That big body of his was not just for show. He actually survived the attack.

As Rez entered the bar through the hole he made, the customers ran out terrified. All that's left was Rez, Marshal, and Sargag. He, of course, had to watch the bar. Marshal smirked, "Hehehe. You mad boy? You should be, because I-"

Rez grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up. "YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" He then slammed Marshal hard against the counter, breaking it in the process. Marshal coughed up blood on impact. In a fit of rage, Rez picked him back up and threw him across the bar.

Marshal began to plead, "Please, stop. I-"

"I told you already!" Rez intervened. "I don't give a damn what you do to me, but if you do anything to harm Ahri, I won't ever forgive you!"

In a desperate act of defence, Marshal attempted to punch Rez. However his body was too injured and weak that Rez easily caught it. Rez twisted his arm, making Marshal scream in pain. It hurt to watch, even so that I almost felt sorry for the guy. "What did you say you were going to do with her? Just what do you take Ahri for!? Some 'thing' you could use to satisfy your lust?"

Rez cracked a bone in his hand. "Gahh!" Marshal's screams of pain had no affect whatsoever.

"She is more than that! Way more than you'll ever be! Ahri is a great person, capable of many things! The thought of her being used as some sex device pisses me the hell off!" Rez raised his fist high to deliver the final blow. Knowing what the outcome may turn out to be, I had to stop him.

"Stop!" I yelled. With my swift agility, I quickly dashed toward Rez. I wrapped my arms around his chest and attempted to pull him away. "Rez, stop it!" Blind by anger, Rez started struggling and tried to shake me from him. I had to hold tight to keep him from killing Marshal. "Rez, its alright! I'm fine!" From my desperate cries, he began to calm down. "It's okay. I'm not hurt or anything." I let go of his body as he turned to face me. I noticed his hand still in the form of a fist and raised in the air. I gently held it in my palm and lowered it. "Everything is going to be fine. Don't worry."

Rez breathed heavily, "Ahri..." He spoke in a firm voice. "Why do you stop me?"

"You were about to kill him!" I scolded.

Rez groaned. "No, I wasn't. I just meant to maim or seriously injure him." He pouted his lips. It's incredulous how he was able to change his tone from a killer to a whiny school boy.

I chuckled. "There's no need to go any further. Just look at him." We turned our heads toward Marshal. He was lying there, scared and tired. "He was already pathetic to begin with. You don't need to humiliate him more."

"Hmph." Rez stood up and grabbed the collar of Marshal's shirt. "You're lucky Ahri has a good heart, unlike you and me." I couldn't exactly hear what Rez said to him as he whispered the last part. He dropped Marshal down, making a big thud. He looked to Sargag who was behind the counter watching the whole thing like some form of entertainment; hell, he even had a bowl of popcorn. "I'm sorry for ruining your shop. I'll pay for the damages."

Sargag huffed. "Don't need to. That guy down there has a big bounty on his head. I can turn him in and collect the cash money." He smirked. "Probably gonna open up an ice cream shop. Bars are too much trouble."

"Well good night sir." Rez turned around and walked away.

I cleared my throat. "Bye, Sargy!" I said in a cute and innocent way like I always do. Then I exited the scene along with Rez.

"Goodbye, Ahri." I smiled and waved as they both left the vicinity.

Oh, brother. That girl, wherever she goes there's always trouble afoot. That boy better be ready. What a poor, unlucky soul.

I took a glance at Marshal's wounded body. "I told you this would happen some day, boy." As a response, he groaned in pain. "I called the cops a few minutes ago. They'll be coming sooner or later."

*cough* "Old man."

"Hmm?"

Marshal was coughing up blood. "They're going to regret this." *cough*

"Oh? Just how do you propose that would happen?"

"J... Just you wait and see. Gahh!" Marshal wheezed heavily before passing out. I couldn't tell if he was either dead or alive. Doesn't matter, as long I get my money.

After awhile, I heard footsteps coming from the shadows. I could tell it was someone shady. "Come on out. I know your there." The man came out from the shadows, revealing a hooded figure. He wore a cape that separated into multiple strips. I could tell he was sent out for some 'dark' business judging by his hidden blades in his disposal. I knew they were there; I do have some experience from my younger years. Actually, blades were all around the guy; even his cape had blades.

Playing dumb, I asked, "You with the cops?"

He shook his head. "I am sorry for the sudden intrusion, but I am looking for a man." He spoke with an enigmatic voice.

I took a sip from a bottle of beer I had since watching the fight. "May I ask just who this man is?"

After a moment of silence, the hooded man spoke. "His name is Rez..."

After yet another moment of silence, I asked. "May I ask just what this guy looks like; or why you're looking for him?" Suspecting that he may cause trouble, I interrogated him. "On second thought, mind tellin' me who you are? You didn't give yourself a proper introduction. Name's Sargag by the way."

"I cannot tell you who I am, nor of where I come from; for it shall tarnish my reputation as Talon! The infamous assassin of Noxus!" *thunder*

I mentally facepalmed. Whatever skills he had must really compensate for a lack of discretion. Of course, I already knew who he was. In the League, he is known as 'The Blade's Shadow'.

"... and as for Rez, he is a man found with great power dwelling inside him. Not only that, but he also possesses extraordinary strength. He alone is a current threat to my nation." He paused to observe his surroundings of the broken pub. "And by the look of things, I have a feeling that he was here. Have any clue as to where I might find him?" A large blade appeared on his arm in an attempt to intimidate me. I whistled at the sight of it.

Acting as if I didn't know, I bluntly said. "Nope..."

"...Really?"

"Yup."

"Are you sure?"

"I don't even know who you are talking about." I lied.

"...Oh, okay then." He put his armblade away. "Guess it can't be helped." I'm starting to wonder how this guy carries out his assassinations. "Y'know, I'm... kinda thirsty. Pour me a glass?"

"Take a seat." I took out a bottle of whiskey and poured it in a glass cup as Talon sat on a chair. I handed him the drink and he chugged it down. "On the house."

"So...uhh... what happened here? Why's this place a mess, Sargag?" He asked, looking around.

"One of my customers was drunk and decided to take a girl home. He had his ass handed to him as the girl was already taken." Talon nodded. "He's down there by the way. Cops are coming to take him away anytime soon." I pointed to the broken body of Marshal lying on the ground.

Talon took a look and his eyes suddenly grew wide. He walked up to him to inspect his body. "This man..."

"Hmm? What about him?"

"Rez was here. I can see his blood spilled over this man."

I was now curious. "See blood?"

"Well, Rez's DNA in the blood. That means he was here and this man has something to do with it."

This was the first I've ever heard of people identifying a person's blood through the naked eye. I'm not even gonna ask.

"I'm gonna take this guy." Talon said, as he picked up Marshal and threw him over his shoulder.

"Now, hold on. The cops are coming to collect him and give me the bounty on his head."

"How much are they giving you?"

"50,000 g."

"I'll double that. Here, take the money." He took out a stack of cash from his pocket and tossed it on the table.

"Well, shoot. I can probably add in a vegetable stand to my new ice cream shop."

Talon turned around, Marshal's body on his back, and head out of the broken pub. "Farewell Sargy, and that vegetable stand is a pretty bad idea." With that, he jumped into the shrouded night, leaving no trace of his presence.

After taking another chug of my drink, the cops finally arrive. One of them came up to me. "Hello, Minerva police department has arrived. Where is Marshal?"

I sighed at how implausibly slow these guys were. "He mustered up the energy to run and went that way." I pointed to a direction leading to a dark alley.

He tipped his hat. "Thank you. Okay team, he's on the run! Move out! Go! Go! Go!"

After they left I took a sip of my drink and, with a monotonous voice, said. "Whatever."

Ahri and I finally made it back to the serenity of our tree home. Fortunately, our way here didn't have a single obstruction. I threw down Ahri's bags of clothing onto the couch which was a surprise we still had them. With an exhausted yawn, I stretched my arms in the air. "Damn, such a long day. It's gonna feel so good to sleep!"

"Would you like something to eat first, Dear?" She asked, as she opened the fridge to check on our groceries.

"Too late at night for that now, and I'm too tired." I took off my shoes and tossed it in the shoe closet. "And don't call me dear."

"Well, at least take a bath before bed. You're filthy."

I looked down to see that my clothes were a mess from earlier. It was even torn in some parts. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

"Dear, you're bleeding."

"Hmm? Where?"

Ahri walked up to me and traced a line between my eye and ear where I assume a cut was formed. "Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Probably a shard of glass flew and cut my face. No biggy."

"Just wash it properly during the bath, okay?"

"Yeah."

After taking a quick bath, as well as Ahri, I went in my room to put on my regular white shirt and cargo pants combo. I placed a band aid where my cut was found. In a few minutes, Ahri came in wearing her traditional clothing. "Yes Ahri? Whatcha need?" I asked.

Sitting on my bed, she answered. "Oh, just wanted to know which side of the bed you prefer." She said with a bright expression. "I've been thinking about a lot of different positions that we could-"

"No." I bluntly said.

She blinked a couple times before asking. "What?"

I sat on the bed beside her. "Ahri, if you really want to forget your past, then you have to stop yourself from doing your past habits... Does that make any sense?" I thought about it for a moment. "Anyway, just stop talking about sex."

She pouted her lips. "Aww. But it's different with you."

I gave her a firm look. "You know, the people like... uhh... Who's that guy I beat up earlier?

"Marshal?"

"Yeah, him. The people like Marshmallow are the ones I really hate. All they care about are themselves, and then take advantage of anyone else."

"So..."

"And like Marshmallow, the thing that pisses me off is how he sees women as some object to use for his pleasure. The heart of men is filled with an incurable lust. So strong that it goes beyond abuse. I hate that! That's why I was seething from every word he said; and it felt so good when I finally wrecked him. Hehehe... Do you ever get so mad, that you just wanna punch something? Yeah, of course you had. That's what I did. I let out all my anger on that idiot. He-"

"Rez!" Ahri yelled, seeing as I was getting ahead of myself.

"...Oh! Yeah, sorry about that." *ahem* "People like Marshmallow just have no respect or care for what happens to a women." He paused. "I'm not like that Ahri; at least, I hope I'm not."

Ahri implied. "But didn't you lose your virginity to me just last night?"

"Hey man, that's different! I wanted to know how it felt like! Curiosity kill the cat, y'know!?" Ahri, giggled from my sudden outburst much to my embarrassment.

Regaining my composure, I continued. "So please, if you have any respect for your body, stop such immoral behavior. At the very least, don't do it to me. It's annoying." She was quiet for a while. "I'm just concerned for you Ahri. I'm sure your tired of my incessant talk, so I'll stop right here."

Ahri looked to her side and thought about it, then she nodded. "Alright, I'll do it for you Rez." She smiled happily.

Damn! What the heck? That was easy! How much of an impact did I make on this girl? I didn't even do much! I just built a house and punched someone. Oh well, glad that's done. I just hope she was actually listening. I grabbed Ahri by the shoulder, "Welp, it's getting late." I lead her out of my room as she followed obediently. "It was a really great time with you today while it lasted. I'm sure we'll do it again some other day." By the time we reached my doorstep, she stepped out and looked back at me. "Goodnight, Ahri." Before I was able to close the door, she stopped it with her tails.

"Rez."

"What is it?" I asked, a bit annoyed.

"Aren't we gonna sleep together?"

I felt a sweat form on my head. "Ahri, there's a reason why we have separate rooms."

"But I-"

"Goodnight Ahri." I said and shut the door in front of her. Now that I'm finally alone, I can do whatever I want... What do I want to do?... Meh. I plopped myself on the sheets of my bed and tried out various strange positions. It didn't take long before I started to snooze.

I stood there as Rez shut the door in my face. He didn't have to do that, but I guess he was just tired and needed some privacy. Even so, it hurt my feelings. I made way to my room somewhere on the other side of the hallway. It bothered me how far our rooms were from each other. Entering my room, I examined the area. Everything was in order, my orb of essence was in place, my bed was made, and the lighting was perfect for setting a mood. I crawled onto my bed and sat in the middle. I grabbed a nearby heart-shaped pillow and held it close to my chest. There was one thing that seemed to be missing though, Rez. I contemplated about what he told me earlier. Of course I want to break my habits, but that's better said than done. I guess I should to avoid more people like Marshal in order to do that. I took a quick glance at my room before falling asleep. I really wish Rez was here with me.

THIS WAS THE LONGEST CHAPTER I HAVE EVER WRITTEN THUS FAR! Maybe that's why this was uploaded so late. Anyway, sorry this chapter was so long. While writing this, I was thinking of cutting it up into two parts, but this chapter was about Rez, Ahri, and their day in the city, so I decided to leave it at that. Also, I kind of bs'd the middle and late parts of the chapter, but I think it was pretty aiight. Thank you all for reading and I promise I would update at a faster rate(hopefully). I hope you enjoyed this chapter and don't worry. Next chapter is gonna involve a certain mute lady so I hope you look forward to it. Please, if you have any questions or comments, post a review and I may look at them.

See you next chapter!
