Oh my god! Is it true!? Is this for real!? Another chapter has been uploaded? Yes, yes. Hello everyone. I am back to making more chapters. I am sorry that it has been around 2 years since I last uploaded, but here you go. The reasons for my disappearance is: 1. I have no computer. It broke. 2) Over the course of last summer, I've met a girl and took a liking to her, needless to say, things didn't work out in the end which lead to depression which lead to no fanfiction. Nonetheless, I am here now and this is the next chapter. It's just a light and fun little chapter before things get serious again. I hope you enjoy!
Chapter 10: The Tiny Master of Evil
The sun slowly sunk down over the horizon as the moon begun to take its place. The forest grew dimmer by the minute. Two familiar champions of the League marched onward through the forest path. Their home destroyed by the tyranny of a merciless civilization, and they vowed to return the favour.
"Rez?" Ahri asked. "Where are we going? This isn't the way to Noxus."
Rez didn't answer.
Ahri sighed. Rez has been like this for hours. He hasn't made a response nor a single noise ever since they started this journey. It felt sort of lonely with Rez being so quiet. So she hatched up a plan.
Ahri twirled her finger and created a little heart. She blew on the heart, causing it to float daintily over to Rez. Once the heart made contact with him, his movement stopped.
Rez scratched the area of where the heart landed and looked back at the fox. "Did you feel anything strange just now, Ahri?"
"Rez!"
The Black Mage jumped at her sudden outburst. "No need to yell, Ahri. It was just a question."
Ahri took a deep breath. "I'm sorry Rez. You haven't said anything for a while now and I was getting kind of worried."
"Oh. My apologies, I was just... thinking." He dozed off for a second.
"Thinking about?"
Rez shook his head. "The night is quite beautiful, isn't it?" He said with a smile.
Ahri smirked, "Yes, it sure is."
Rez let out a slight chuckle, although Ahri couldn't help but think there was something more on his mind. Rez could be thinking about a way to infiltrate the Noxian walls, but she knew Rez was a very straight-forward person. For all she knows, he would most likely burst through the front gates.
There was also other matters she was worried about. The army Noxus planned to raise. Soldiers filled with sentience and essence of men. Though, she cannot figure how they may obtain the essence, due to the fact that her orb was now gone.
"Rez." Ahri called, continuing their march.
"Hmm? What is it?"
"The army of sentient beings Noxus is raising. We have to do something about that."
"Sentient beings?" Rez asked. "You mean like that yellow robot... umm... Blitzcrank?"
"No, he's more steam automation than anything. Somewhere more along the lines of Galio."
"Galio hmm?" Rez put a finger to his chin. "...well that ain't good."
Ahri didn't want to burden Rez with such a task, and she knew he wanted payback for the destruction of their home, but it must be done.
"So anyway," Ahri continued. "where are we going?"
"Oh. First, we have to-" *rustle* "What was that?"
Rez turned around once he heard a rustling coming from a nearby bush. Suddenly, a pack of wolves jumped onto them.
*A minute later*
"Damn, those wolves were annoying." *munch*
"Rez." Ahri said in a slightly annoyed voice. "It's fine that you scared them off, but did you really have to eat one?"
"What? It's just a leg." Rez said, biting into the meat of an amputated wolf leg before throwing it away. "Besides, it doesn't even taste good and I haven't eaten anything for hours!"
"Well back to my previous question." Ahri said. "Where are we going?"
"There's no need to answer that now. We're already here." Rez said, stopping at a small grove.
"And here is...?" Ahri asked, slightly confused.
"Hold on." Rez walked up to a bush and moved it out of the way, revealing a small trap door. "We need to rest for tonight, so we're gonna stay at Master's hideout."
"Master? You mean Veigar?"
"Yup. Come on. We just gotta go down these stairs."
Ahri looked down the trap door and saw a dark staircase. "Don't worry, Ahri. Master has the most comfortable couch ever." Rez stated as they both headed down the stairs.
A while has passed and everything was quiet. Walking down, Ahri broke the silence. "Hold on. Isn't Veigar's hideout around Bandle City?"
"Hmm? Oh yeah. That's right. He has one hideout located outside of Bandle City, but with his magic, he set up entrances all around Valoran that leads directly to that one area."
Ahri and Rez continued walking down the dimly lit stairs and eventually came upon a rather small door. He opened it and walked into the dark living room along with Ahri. "Master!" He called out.
There was no answer. He thought that he was sleeping, but knowing Veigar, he could probably be plotting another scheme against Teemo.
"Ahri, stay here." Rez pointed to one of the couches in front of a fireplace.
"You're gonna leave me alone?"
"I'm just gonna check up on him. And besides, he wouldn't exactly be happy with your visit."
Ahri pouted and crossed her arms. "Fine."
"All right then." Rez said as he headed up a flight of stairs.
Ahri took a seat on the couch.
"...This is soft!"
Rez walked through the halls until he reached the bedroom of the Tiny Master of Evil. The door creaked as he slowly opened it. "Master?" He whispered. He looked closer into the room and jumped at the sight before him. "M-Master! What the fu- What are you doing!?"
"Gyaa!" Veigar was surprised to see Rez was watching him during his special private time. "R-Rez!? W-W-What the Hell are you doing here!?" Veigar stood up.
"Oh, Gawd! Master, please!"
A piece of furniture was thrown at Rez's head. "Get the hell out!"
Rez slammed the door shut and quickly ran back to the living room. There he saw Ahri was awkwardly laying down on the couch. "Oh, hey there." Ahri said in a relaxed tone. "How did it go?"
Rez took a couple of seconds to breathe. With a deep breath, he regained his composure and spoke. "It went... well. He should be coming down soon." Rez took a seat on the couch across Ahri. And not a moment too soon, Veigar came walking down the stairs.
"Servant, for whatever reason you are here, you are interrupting my... what is she doing here?" The dark yordle noticed Ahri laying on his comfy couch.
"Well actually, we... uhh... kinda-"
"Get her out." Veigar said bluntly.
"Aww... c'mon! You didn't even listen to what I had to say!"
"I don't care. It's either she leaves or you get thrown into the pits."
"No! Not the pits!"
Veigar rubbed his temple. "Where did I get such a pathetic servant?"
Ahri stood up from the couch. She stayed silent because she didn't want to upset the little yordle, for she knew he could burst her living being into oblivion. But she couldn't stand watching Rez being treated in such a way.
Ahri marched to Veigar and grabbed him by the collar. She picked him up off the floor with ease seeing as he was no heavier than a pillow. "Hey! Nobody calls MY Rez pathetic but me!" She exclaimed, glaring straight into his eyes. "You have no idea what we've been through today. Noxus attacked us, our house was destroyed, we were chased by a lion on the way here, I broke a nail, and Rez is probably starving!"
Rez intervened. "Well actually, I-"
"Shut up! Now you are gonna let us stay for the night and then we'll be off your back. Understood!?"
Little drops of sweat formed on Veigar's forehead. He gulped and nodded out of fear.
"Great!" Ahri chimed and dropped Veigar to the floor. She turned to her lover and asked. "Rez, are you hungry?"
"Yeah!" He vigorously shouted, ignoring how quickly she was able to change personalities.
"Alright then, Mister Veigar, where's the kitchen?"
The Tiny Master of Evil groaned and pointed to the direction of the kitchen.
Ahri smiled. "Thank you. Come Rez, I'll make you something nice."
Rez happily(and fearfully) followed suit.
Veigar stood in the middle of the living room and pondered for a bit.
"Tch...women."
Ahri's tails waved merrily in the air as she watched Rez eat the dozen of sandwiches she made.
"Wow Ahri! I like how you made these sandwiches with the random stuff in Master's fridge."
Ahri smiled. "Oh Rez, I just know how to prepare food in the best way for you."
Ahri was exaggerating. She threw in anything she found in the fridge in between two loaves of bread and called it a sandwich. Rez would eat just about anything.
In the corner of her eye, Ahri noticed a large metallic glove come up from the edge of the table. It grabbed a sandwich from the plate and brought it down.
Ahri looked below the table and saw Veigar munching on the sandwich. "Hey, just what do you think you're doing?" She gave him a dreadful look.
"Woman! This is my house and my food. I get a sandwich!" He retorted.
"Psshh. Fine, whatever."
Just then, Veigar was lifted off the ground from the back of his shirt. Ahri got back up and saw Rez place Veigar on top of his head. The yordle didn't seem to mind and finished eating his sandwich. Rez, eating a sandwich of his own, grabbed another and handed it to his tiny master.
It looked odd looking at the two of them; although it seemed somewhat natural. It seemed that they actually developed a relationship between each other. Not like a master and servant, but more like brothers.
Ahri spoke. "Veigar."
"That's 'Master Veigar' to you!" He was halted from saying anymore by a grim glare from Ahri.
"Where is your bathroom?" She continued. "I really need to wash up."
Rez gulped. "Umm... Ahri, I don't think that's-"
"It's on the door to your left." Veigar interrupted.
Ahri looked to her side and saw quite a normal looking door. She walked up to it and reached for the handle.
"Ahri..." Rez protested. "You really shouldn't-"
"What's wrong Rez? I just need to wash my face." Ahri opened the door.
She closed the door and put her head down on the kitchen table. Rez shuffled his fingers through Ahri's hair. "It's okay Ahri. You'll forget everything soon enough." The little yordle continued eating sandwiches on top of Rez's head.
Rez held Ahri in his hands. She fell asleep on the kitchen table so Rez felt it was necessary to carry her to the couch in the living room.
Rez bent over to lay her down on the couch. Much to his dismay, however, Ahri's arms were wrapped around his neck and refused to let go. "Dammit Ahri!" Rez yelled. Suddenly, Ahri pulled him down to the couch with her. He couldn't get up due to the fact that she had her legs wrapped around his waist. "Ahri..."
"I'm tired, Rez."
Rez was struggling to escape from her grasp. "Yes, Ahri. I am well aware of that."
"Sleep with me." The seductive fox whispered into his ear.
"Ahri, I don't think Master will be too happy with that idea." Rez continued to try and pry her off his body.
"I don't care." She smirked.
Once Rez felt the small fingers of the kitsune going under his clothes, he emitted heat higher than that of the firefox from his body, causing her to let him go. Rez stood up from her grasp. "I'm sorry Ahri, but it's just not the right time."
She pouted. "Aww c'mon! It's been too long."
"When the time is right, I'll consider." Rez said, patting her head in between her fox ears. "But for now, we gotta focus on the task at hand."
"Fine then." Ahri yawned aloud and stretched her arms into the air before laying on the couch. "This is a really soft couch."
"It sure is."
"Good night Rez." Ahri happily said before falling asleep.
"Good night." Rez smiled and carefully put a blanket over her body to keep her warm through the night.
Rez stayed by Ahri's side until he was sure that she was sound asleep. Afterwards, he got up and put on his dark blue mage hat. He walked out the small door and up the stairs. All this time, he knew they were being followed. He waited until Ahri was safe before he could act. He knows Ahri is more than capable of handling herself, but what he would encounter above the stairs was something deadly, something far more... sinister.
Again, I hope you enjoyed this chapter please don't hate me for being gone for so long! I'll have the next one up right away!
