A/N: Ok here is my story for Monster University. Nothing much a little different form the movie in the fact that we get an in-depth look at Randy and the RΩRs. There is an OC but not major more back ground. This is first chapter like a pre-movie where Randy gets there before Mike. I hope you all enjoy it.

Monster University- Randy Boggs' story

Chapter 1

Randy looked up at the tall gates in front of him. He was nervous, more nervous than he had ever been before. This was his first day at Monster University, and Randy was so out of his league. I'm not meant to be here. The purple lizard turned around ready to walk all the way back home, when he was grabbed by his shoulder. Randy looked over to see his cousin, and looked down to the ground.

"Randy, Randy, Randy. I know you are scared, but this is a great opportunity for you. Do you know how hard it is to get into MU on your first try? Only a hand full of people does that, so buck up and let's gets you registered."

"But Cheshire, I don't feel like I belong here. I'm not cut out for this." But Cheshire just laughed at Randy and pulled him through the gate and lead the young freshman across the campus. The lizard followed the cat all the way to the registration hall. It took longer than Randy thought, but that could have been because of all the people stopping to talk to Cheshire.

"Well, well if it isn't the purple cat of death." A voice sounded over Randy head, and the freshman looked over and saw a tall purple monster wearing a red and yellow sweater with RΩR on it. Cheshire turned and smiled his famous grin. "Johnny Worthington! My second favorite scarcer! Good to see you man."

The two taller purple monsters gave a one arm hug, and laughed. Then this Johnny picked up on the greeting. "Second? Who do you know that is more important than me?" If possible Cheshire's grin got bigger, before his lower body disappeared and then reappear with a small lizard in tow. "This is my favorite scarcer. Johnny meet Randy, my little cousin! He is a freshman, got in on his very first try. Not only that, but according to my sources top grades! Isn't it wonderful?"

Randy's purple skin kept getting darker and darker as Cheshire's voice got louder and louder. Johnny chuckled and looked down to the lizard. Cheshire stopped as he noticed a confused look on his friends faced pointed in his cousin direction. The cat looked down and giggled at the floating in the air.

"See Johnny, isn't my little cousin amazing. Being able to disappear completely?" As he spoke he nudged Randy with this paw, and the freshman reappeared in front of the senior. The older monster was impressed "Yeah, that was cool." Johnny know he said the right thing when Randy's face light up.

Then RΩR member heard something one calling his name. "I got to go it was good seeing you Ches, and nice meeting you Randy, hope you do well in class."

Cheshire looked down at his cousin and smiled. "Come on, let's get you set in." Randy followed; just have an older experience monster telling him he was cool, made the lizard feel so much better about being here.

He couldn't wait till he meet his roommate, and starting classes. At this moment in time there was nothing to bring down Randall "Randy" Boggs joy.
