Arya Scott Cullen
Chapter 12
This is the last chapter in the first book: Twilight. I thank all my readers and reviewers for supporting and liking this story.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Twilight Saga, that belongs rightfully to Stephanie Meyer.
Time went by quick like it usually did for me, in the century and a half that I lived. Prom was actually coming up tomorrow and Alice wanted to dress me up, I tried ignoring her, knowing how she is, but with Jasper on her team, I was doomed from the start and I didn't need powers to see the future to know that. At this point we were in his room he was healing nicely. Most of his injuries were healed. His bruises were gone mostly, the stitches were out (a light scar in its place) and his arm was almost back to normal.
I was leaning against the back board of his bed, my legs loosely crossed and Roy sat on the opposite side in the same position. He asked me. "When should I pick you up tomorrow?"
I looked at him with a frown. "What are you talking about?"
He asked. "Well, we're going to Prom and I want to know when to pick you up."
I shook my head at him, my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "You're not driving anywhere."
His eyes widened. "Of course I am. How do you expect to get to prom, we're not running."
He gave me a deadpanned look and I rolled my eyes. "Of course not, I'm driving us to school."
"No, you're not! Allow me to do that."
I shook my head again. "Sorry, I can't do that. You'll get hurt."
He snapped. "What?!"
I sighed at him. "Your arm is still broken, how do you expect to drive?"
"One handed, obviously." Sarcasm was lacing his tone.
I scowled at him, where was his common sense?! "Absolutely not! You would get yourself killed!"
His eyes were set into a glare. "You can't dictate my life, vampire or not!"
I glared back at the accusation in his voice. "I'm not! It's called common sense! I didn't know that humans lost that!"
"I'm driving!"
I almost growled in annoyance. "No, you're not!"
He scowled deeply at me. "Yes, I am! I'm not some kind of invalid!"
"I never said you were invalid, where are all these thoughts coming from?"
He frowned and looked away from me. I lost my anger that I had with him previously and lightly grabbed his chin and made those bright blue eyes, the ones that I fell in love with. "Hey, darlin'. What's bothering you? You know you can tell me, right?"
His lips turned into a smile, a small one, but a smile none the less. He turned his chin away from my hand. "I just… I mean…you."
I grabbed his hand in mine and pressed my lips to them, the lure of his blood bothering me less than usual. I let my eyes dart upward to stare at him, earnest. I was worried, why was he stuttering and where did being an invalid come from? "You can tell me, don't hesitate with me, darlin'."
His eyes looked away from my golden ones and he said after a large sigh, which I thought was highly dramatic. "I know you unbelievably stronger than me, but I…want to be able to protect you too."
I kissed his knuckles again and turned his hand over, kissing his palm. I let go of his hand and smiled at him. I got up and moved closer to him so that I was kneeling in front of him and his eyes widened. "Arya? What-"
I put a palm each on both sides of his face and leaned in close, pressing a tender kiss to his lips. I felt his hand press against the back of my neck. I moved a little closer and kissed along his jaw, sweet peppering touches. I cared too much, his scent didn't bother me. I said between kisses to the other side of his jaw. "You have no idea…how much you help…and protect me…I never believed a human like you could feel anything for a vampire…like me. I. Love. You."
He was gasping and I let go of him, falling back on my heels. His lips were swollen and his eyes wide with flushed cheeks. I grinned at him. He nodded. "I get it, I love you too, Arya, more than anything."
I grinned wider and asked. "So, about who's driving who to prom…"
He scowled at me and then sighed. "Whatever, when are you coming."
I kissed his red cheek with a laugh. "Thank you, it does mean a lot to me. I do mean it, I love you and you do protect me."
His eyebrows were raised. "You didn't just say that for my benefit?"
I smiled. "It's true, more than anything."
A bright smile crossed his face and before he could say anything, my phone rang. I pulled out of my pocket and gave something between a groan and a sigh. The caller ID said Alice.
I clicked the answer button and put it to my ear, though I didn't need to. "Yes?"
"You can't avoid me, come home."
I scowled slightly; does she give it a rest at all? I said with a sigh. "Listen Alice-"
"I see the future, you are not getting out of this."
I grimaced a bit. "Fine, I'm leaving now."
I could almost here the grin in her voice as she said in a chipper tone. "Great! Also, one of the boys will come with Roy's suit."
My eyes widened slightly and the dial tone rang. I huffed. "Wait, Alice…"
I clicked it off and got off the bed. I smiled and he smirked at me. I mock glared at him. "Alice wants to dress me up."
He snickered at my misfortune and I stuck my tongue at him. "Huh, well one of my brothers is coming by with a suit most likely picked by her."
He gaped at me and I quickly kissed him on the mouth softly and laughed as I jumped out his window and jumped out, toward my house. I rolled my eyes at Alice's footsteps and I caught the cheerful pixie haired vampire with a chuckle. "Come on, Arya. Time to get you ready."
I smirked sarcastically and said dryly. "Yay."
She smacked me and said. "We're running out of time."
I was only 9 o'clock according to my watch. I looked disbelieving back at her. "What? We don't even need sleep!"
"If we did, we wouldn't have enough time, come on already!"
While this was happening, Alice was dragging me throughout the house and up the stairs. I don't know why she was using human speed, must be for dramatics and tension, if I would have to guess.
Eventually, when we gotten in my room and walked inside to see Rosalie standing and my bed with dressing bags. My eyebrows twitched forward. "Alice."
She let go of my hand and raised an small eyebrow. "Yes?"
"Why are there so many?"
She rolled her eyes and Rose snorted. "You're going to try them all on, obviously."
My eyes widened a fraction and I held my nose by the bridge with my thumb and forefinger. Alice giggled at my reaction and Rose smirked. I just groaned. I walked toward the shower and my business. I finished and wrapped the towel around me after drying myself. We don't need showers, since we don't have body odors, but we do it anyway. Alice gave me a demanding and I gave another dramatic sigh and stripped off my towel. I've been alive for over 150 years; no way would I be embarrassed of being in the nude. Alice opened the first bag and it was a velvet silver dress that reached the knees. I sighed once more and tried it on.
Alice both stared at me and then in unison shook their heads slights. She handed me another dress and Hell began.
/ / / / / /
Hours later, Alice and Rose finally found me a dress. Edward is hunting with Jasper and Emmett right now. Lucky them, since I found the 'perfect' dress, maybe I can go hunting soon. The dress a deep blue (similar to Roy's eyes) that had long light sleeves to my wrists ((for my battle vampire scars) and it went down to the bottom of my knees and sort of flowed from the bust.
Alice smiled at me and Rose usual stern features even seemed to soften. "You look beautiful."
I grinned and said. "Thanks let me take this off, so I can hunt."
Rose rolled her eyes and walked out. Alice frowned at me and I said. "I need blood in me if I want to be with Roy, I don't want anything to happen."
She grudgingly 'allowed' me to change from the dress and into jeans and a T-shirt. I ran off into the forest, seeing the sun rise. It was really that long? Huh, times flies when your being tortured with clothes. I ran al the way into this park area we got to when the population of the animals gets overpopulated.
I closed my eyes and just took everything in. hearing the small noises no human would even be close too. I smiled a bit, feral at the scent of grizzly in the air. Crouching slightly, I attacked the bear, easily snapping its neck and sucking it dry. I then remembered something.
It was 1930; I was away from Jasper for a while. We left Maria and her army not too long ago. I was actually in England from leaving the U.S. The climate and 3 times a year thing was easier for me. Over the years I learned to blend in, even if I obviously drank human blood, it's only natural. I have to admit I grown to be a bit guilty over the years (Which complicated things, so I usually went after rapist and criminals if I could find them, if not…oh well) and I knew where and how to hunt without causing issues, keeping away from the Volturi's attention.
I was night time in Winchester and barely anyone was outside. It was also slightly drizzling, it always rained here. I saw someone walked by themselves and I grinned to myself. I sped to the ally I walked into and the person whipped around in fear. I chuckled slightly; their reactions are always the same. I ran in front of them and they stumbled back. I looked to see it was a man about 30 or somewhere in that margin. "Girl, go away!"
He knew something was wrong with me, something inhuman, but he didn't know what. I just gave him a feral grin and he paled, backing up. I then jumped at his neck, sinking my teeth into the soft flesh of his skin, grabbing his shoulders to stop his feeble struggle and the sweet blood dribbled down my throat and corners of my mouth. His body went limp and no more blood came through. I dropped him and mauled him a bit to keep up appearances. I then took his body and ran to the forest, dropping off the body and whipped the blood away from my mouth.
Well, that was satisfying.
I was shook out of my memory by the time I finished hunting. I really disturbed me in like 1970 and 1980's after I was with the Cullen's in the 60's. Seeing how they lived and how much they valued human life. I blinked slightly at the time, oh I have to go it's 7:00, I guess I really wanted to get my fill and maybe, an overfill, you could never be too full as a vampire.
I ran home and Alice was waiting for me in the driveway. Her eyebrow was raised and her foot was tapping so fast that it was fluttering at high speeds for the human eye. I gave her a smirk and she rolled her eyes. "Hurry up, will you."
My smirk turned to a grin and I replied back with a small salute and a little bit of my southern roots showing. "Yes, ma'am."
Alice eyes were narrowed and I ran upstairs, chuckling. I got in there and tossed off my clothes, throwing on the dress (which felt weird) and brushed my hair a bit. I couldn't do much with it because I was turned as I posed for a boy in the military army. If it weren't for my vampire features, I could be confused as a boy. I was able to brush it to bottom neck length.
I grabbed the keys to the black Mercedes, Alice wished me luck (even though she most likely knew how tonight would end) and Emmett told me not to let Roy take 'atvanage of me'.
I rolled my eyes at him. "One, he would never do that and I'm a vampire and he's human, I think I'll be fine." He just snickered and I nodded at Jasper, he just smiled at me and told me to have fun. I then jumped in the car and drove up to his house going 90 mph, making it there quickly and decreasing the speed as I gotten closer to his home.
I smiled to myself and climbed out in the dark blue heels Alice and Rosalie picked for me. I hate shoes, I rather walk barefoot, but I must wear shoes to school and nicer shoes to events. I walked up to the door with a smile, a polite one when I smelt Roy's mother, Mary get closer to the door. She opened and scowled when she saw me. I just kept my polite smile. "Ma'am, I'm here to pick up Roy for tonight."
"Doesn't the boy pick the date up?"
I shrugged. "He would but I didn't want him to get in an accident because of his arm."
Her mouth was tight, she couldn't say anything about that, and I was caring for his safety."
"Ack, Mom I'm coming!" Roy came to me, his black hair neatly brushed, he face slightly flushed more than usual. My smile became more genuine when I looked at him. My eyes widened slightly when I saw him fully. He had a white shirt, golden silk tie (close to our eyes) and a black 3 piece suit with black oxford looking shoes, but no doubt a more expensive brand.
Alice really went for the eyes tonight. We were staring at each other and his mother cleared her throat. "Just make sure you come back by 1."
His mouth was gaped a little as he looked at me and he nodded to his mother. He walked out and we walked to the car, to keep up appearances. I drove off, me going at a more moderate pace for humans. He was staring at me and I grinned. "See what you like?" I knew a teasing look was on my face.
He blushed slightly, but said seriously. "Yes, I do."
My eyes went to his , I gave him a loving smile, I was content and full and have Roy with me, I think tonight will be one of the best I had in my 150 years of life. I turned back to the road and accelerated a bit. I heard Roy sigh and I laughed in amusement. We arrived and I pulled into a parking space swiftly.
I got out and Roy climbed out too. I locked the car and walked with Roy into the Gym and handed our tickets to the teacher in the front. People turned to stare at us and I grabbed Roy's uninjured hand, he squeezed my granite cold hand. It made me smile. I nodded at Edward and Bella.
"What do you want to do?"
I shrugged at his question. "Whatever you prefer, I never done this before."
He asked; a surprised tone in his voice. "Really, in all your years of living?"
I looked at him with a smile. "No, I suppose I just never found the one I would ever want to do something like this with."
He smile went wide with joy and he cooed. "Awww…"
I snickered and rolled my eyes. "Shush it, you."
He laughed softly to himself and we were away from them on the dance floor. I held my breath, other than Roy, their blood bothering me still, like it bothered Jasper. It was painful not to listen to my desire not to rip them apart and drink they're delicious blood, but Roy wanted this and could do anything he wanted, so I could do this. Plus the guilt with what happened to him in Phoenix helped a lot with that.
Roy brows were furrowed. "Arya? Are you okay, we can move?"
I breathed slightly and shook my head, no that's fine. It's not as hard as you think it is." I smiled at him, breathing more, flinching slightly at the intense burn. Thankfully it was too small for the human eye to see. Since his arm was broken, only one arm was around my waist while my hands were resting lightly on the sides of his neck and my arms gently on his shoulders.
I stared in his eyes, that true blue color that shined brightly. The song went from slow to the 'Cupid Shuffle'.
I smirked and raised a eyebrow at Roy. "Really?"
He shook his head with a laugh and grabbed my hand, pulling us away from the dance floor; well I let him do that. His eyes went to the pictures and he asked with a grin. "So, will you show if we take a picture?"
I looked at him with raised eyebrows at the teasing gleam in his eyes and the mischievous grin. It was too much and I laughed, snickering at him. We got stares and he ducked down slightly as I continued to laugh, higher in pitch. He pushed my shoulder slightly as the stares continued and more followed the current ones.
Roy said, his face going red. "Arya, hey! Stop it!"
I stopped, my mouth wide into a grin, my teeth showing. People looked away at that, for some reason, whenever we truly smiled at a human, with teeth and all, they got scared, like they could almost see our inhumanity. I looked at Roy remembered that he was still human, but only saw the kindness and love that was there when he looked at me.
I pressed my lips to his before he blinked and moved away before he could react. His breathing was a bit heavy and he stared at me in shock. I looked at him amused as we walked hand and hand to the photo line. It was boring, really. Other than me and him kissing each other occasionally on the cheek or mouth (the line was really long).
Finally it was our time and I flashed a grin full of my teeth, but not horribly wide. My arm was around his waist. A click and I grimaced at the flash, worse for me that it would have been for a human. I blinked a couple of times and we walked back to the dance floor where another slow song was on. I grimaced in disgust at the people on the dance floor.
They were basically have sex with clothes on. Roy met my eyes and looked where I was staring. He chuckled at my disgust. He said. "Come on."
He pulled on my hand and I followed him out the door and in a secluded area where a human could still hear the music. We were in the same position as before, with an arm around my waist and my arms on his shoulders. I smiled at him and looked into his eyes as we did a simple two step dance, mostly just swaying. "I love you."
He nodded and dipped his head. "I know, I love you too."
I kissed him on his jaw, a peppering kiss as I went along. I heard his grunt as he shifted and leaned against the wall. "Ah…Arya…"
I stopped and quirked an eyebrow, an 'innocent' look on my face. "Yes?"
"Humans need to breathe too."
I frowned. "Are you okay?"
He rolled his eyes. "Yes, I'm fine."
I nodded. "Where were we?"
His cheeks flushed and he grinned back at me. "I think I remember."
Placing a hand on his cheek, I pressed my lips to his, deepening it and not breathing (considering how close I was), pressing closer to him. I stopped and he was breathless. I loved that reaction, that I was able to do that. His cheeks went redder at my smug expression. I pulled away as another slow dance came on.
He asked. "May, I have this dance?"
I smirked at him. "You may."
And then on that, out there in the parking lot, we danced.
/ / / / / /
Prom was finished and we drove around until it hit about 12:45 and then I drove back at high speed, hearing Roy's breathless and joyful laughter. I smiled along with him. I brought him back to his home, ignoring the anger and glares from his mother and she walked back inside. I pressed my lips to his ear and said. "Meet you in your room, soon." His shivered as my breath brushed his ear and nodded flushing. He walked inside the house and shut the door and I jumped in a tree.
I waited for a bit until I heard his mother go back in her room. I crouched where I was, jumping into the window, in his room. He looked at me where he was stripping off his vest and laying it neatly on the matching jacket on his bed. "Does Alice want this back?"
I laughed at the absurd idea and leaned against the wall. "Alice? No, she would want you to keep it. She don't let us where clothes twice."
His eyes widened in surprise. "What! Really?"
I nodded as he loosened the golden tie from his throat and put it on the vest, unbuttoning a couple of buttons from his shirt. He tossed his shoes off and put his stuff on his desk. He laid back on his pillows and ran a hand through his hair, making it messy again. I smiled and walked over to him and sat on his bed. He was blinking tiredly. My smile had a softer quality to it.
I brushed my knuckles across his cheek. "Go to sleep, Darlin'."
He asked. "What about you?"
I leaned back a little and covered him with a blanket (ignoring the small protests) and slid closer. Being around him made the thirst easier since it was less appealing to me. "I'll be here until you want me to leave."
He kissed me lightly on the lips. "Always."
I chuckled a bit as I ran a cool hand on his forehead and then his head, scratching barely at the scalp. A relaxed smile spread across his face as I continued the motion. Soon enough his breathing evened out and he was asleep. I stopped and looked at him. I smiled and grabbed the book off his nightstand, reading where I left off last time.
/ / / / / / /
It was awhile since prom, school was finished and Roy was with his father for a week and it was a sunny place, so it was best if I didn't go. I hate to admit it, but to Edward and Jasper, I was sulking. I was not, I was just bored. I bet Edward would do the same thing if we switched places.
"No, I wouldn't."
I glared in the direction of my door. "Shut up. Get out of my head."
I heard his chuckle at me and rolled my eyes, what a child. "No, I'm not."
I snapped. "Edward."
Esme scolded him and I smirked. I was actually lounging on the bed I didn't need and waiting for him to be back.
Alice said. "Come down here."
I got up and ran downstairs and landed on the couch. Jasper and Emmett had game controls in their hands, Rosalie came from the garage, Edward walked from the piano while Esme and Carlisle came from his study.
We looked at Alice, who had an excited expression, but from Edward's brows, she blocked him from her mind. She was standing in front of us. Carlisle asked. "What is it, Alice?"
Esme gave her a concerned look while I figured it was some fashion emergency. Edward snorted and I guessed he came to the same conclusion and then he sighed, rolling his eyes.
Alice turned to me with a blinding grin. I raised my eyebrows. "Yes?"
"Well, I was looking into the future and saw that Roy's birthday-"
I laughed. "I should have known."
Rosalie snapped. "That is why is brought us here, for a human."
I growled at her, she needs to get used to the idea. She sneered at me and I glared, as Emmett sent me a look. I understand she is his mate, but she needs to control herself.
Alice frowned at her. "Anyway, his birthday is in a couple of days and he'll be here, I saw it."
Carlisle smiled. "I don't have a problem with it." Esme nodded with a mothering smile in agreement. Emmett glanced at him mate and shrugged. Edward didn't care and Jasper nodded, looking at his wife.
Alice clapped her hands, sounds of stone hitting stone echoing. "Ok, his birthday is in three days and we need to get ready!"
I rolled my eyes and snatched a controller off the floor and clicked on the t.v. "We should be fine, we don't need sleep." A murmur of agreement went around. Alice huffed and I smiled at her. "Seriously Alice, I appreciate this." I looked at her in thankfulness.
She grinned at me and said. "Fine, we'll start tonight, no exceptions." She looked sternly at me. Rosalie gave a sigh and walked back to the garage. Emmett chuckled, ruffled my hair (which I swiped at him for) and followed her.
I just grinned at her and gave her a salute, saying with a bit of a drawl. "Yes, ma'am."
She giggled and grabbed Jasper's hand dragging him away. I grimaced at feeling of lust in the room. "Jasper, control please!"
Edward grimaced. "Your thoughts too."
I snickered and said. "Ed, play with me."
Edward gave me a glare. "Don't call me that and I was going to see Bella."
I glanced at my watch. "It's 4:30 in the morning, Bella's sleeping. All you're going to do it stare her. C'mon, sibling bonding time."
He rolled his eyes and said. "Like you don't do that with Roy." He sat with me anyway and picked up a controller and I started shooting things and then keeping my find full of anything else. I blocked out Alice and Jasper upstairs. It became easier over the years.
It went from fighting each other on the game to me trying to get Edward out of my head by thinking off all kissing and mushy stuff me and Roy did. Edward was making these disgusted noises and missing opportunities to kill my player and I would destroy him. Finally I put one of Roy stripping right after Prom and my thoughts about that.
Edward growled when I killed his player again. "Stop that, Arya!"
I grinned at him and dodged the bullets at my player and drove off in the truck. "What? This?"
I thought up when we got him back from dealing with James and how we were on his bed, making out. His body was tensing and he finally snarled and tackled me off the couch and on the ground. I laughed and pushed his shoulders and tackled him back, he pushed me somewhere and I heard a smash. I dove toward him, too quick for him to react. That was my gift; I had the strength and senses of a newborn. It's why Maria kept me around for so long.
I kept my thoughts full of Roy and he snarled, me laughing as I flung him into a wall and I huffed, he's getting better. I moved away, but he anticipated this, and slamming me into the couch which made a crack and I went to jump at him when-
"Stop." I froze, it was Esme. I looked around the room and my eyes widened. The couch was broken, the t.v smashed, along with the stand and there was an Edward sized hole in the wall. I scratched my neck, oops. Edward gave me a glare. I shrugged at him; this wouldn't be the first time something like this happened.
We both looked at Esme and I could tell we were both guilty. Edward nodded his head. "I'm sorry, Esme. We didn't know we were breaking things."
She raised a disbelieving eyebrow. "You didn't hear anything at all?"
If I was a human, I would have blushed. I stiffened my shoulders at her stern expression and placed my hands behind my back, my back straight. "I'm sorry, ma'am. I and Edward will fix the living room the way it was. I apologize for my part, I instigated it and gotten carried away having fun."
Edward said. "And I apologize for not taking it outside, Esme."
Her stern features softened and nodded. "Then you both are forgiven, but you have to help Alice for the party she's doing until she's satisfied."
I gaped for a moment and then nodded, remembering I wronged her. Edward groaned a bit, but nodded. Esme gave us a smile and told me. "Arya, you don't have to do that."
I moved from the soldier position. She walked off and ran into Carlisle's study. I noticed Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie's snickering and laughing. Edward snapped. "Shut up!"
They don't even act close to their age. I turned to Edward. I got the couch and T.V.? He nodded and I ran to my money in my room and grabbed what I would need for a similar couch and T.V along with a moving truck (have to old up appearances after all.
I ran to the nearest moving station and walked out from behind the forest and paid the guy with the trucks. After driving to the furniture store with more expensive labels (Alice would flip if this was not so) and before I moved, my phone rang, I looked to see that it was Alice. Rolling my eyes, I clicked the call button. "Alice?"
"You get the leather light brown one for $375, it will look amazing and the flat screen Sony T.V for $250."
I chuckled. "I should have known that you would call me about this."
"Yep, Edward is done with the wall and when you get back, you can help me with the party!"
I narrowed my eyes. "Why do I have the idea you knew the result of what me and Edward did?"
"Bye." …That sneaky little pixie…
In all, I had movers 'help' me. At times like this, it was really hard to put up appearances. It took them way too long, but I made sure to keep away from them.
/ / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
Everything was fixed and I helped her set up the party along with Edward. It was horrifying and brain numbing. I could tell Edward felt the same. Jasper and Emmett just snickered at every order Alice gave us. Roy was coming home soon and I was excited, this was the longest I been without him except for the beginning when I tried to keep away from him.
The place was done with deep blue streaming, but more tougher material. Lights in bowls around the house and whole place was decorated. There was a table cake even if Roy and Bella would be the only one eating it. We were actually dressed in what he wanted because I told her Roy would be uncomfortable with it just for her birthday. So, I was dressed in a light gray v-neck t-shirt and black washed jeans along with some boots.
I was now on my way to collect Roy and Edward went to collect Bella.
I drove the car over the Roy and stopped short. There was another car there. I got out and caught the scent of Roy's little sister and father. How could I have forgotten, of course his family would be here?
I sighed to myself and threw on the jacket on had in the car, if they noticed my light scars, I didn't know how I was going to explain that. I walked up to the door and wrapped 3 times on the door. A moment later the door opened and the smile that was on Roy's mother, Mary face disappeared when she saw me. I gave her a polite smile. "What are you doing here?"
I blinked, a bit surprised at how rude she was, she usually hid her hostility with concealed question. This was full out distaste.
Mom, I thought everyone was…Arya!" His face lit up when he saw me. I smiled at him; he was wearing a white tank top with a plaid blue button down shirt unbuttoned with black jeans and Nikes shoes. I said. "Well, my family heard his birthday would be coming and threw a party for him."
Roy blinked in shock, but then rolled his eyes with a grin. "Alice?"
I grinned back. "Alice."
Roy looked at his mother guilty and she sighed. "Come back later, you hear me, young man."
He blushed at the smirk I gave him and nodded. "I get it, love you mom Thank you."
He kissed her on the cheek and grabbed my stone hand. "Tell dad I'm with Arya!" We walked to my car and I drove on when his seatbelt clicked on. I pressed down on the gas and Roy just chuckled, used to my driving. Then on, I drove back home, one hand in his and one hand directing the wheel.
/ / / / / / /
I parked the car and climbed out, running to his side and opening the door for him with a bow. "After you, sir."
I pecked him on the lips and pulled him out, closing the door behind me. He gave me a goofy grin. "Thank you."
Before we went inside I stopped him, regardless if my family could hear me. "I know you're a bit embarrassed, but try to bear with it, not just Alice is excited."
He kissed my cheek. "I'll be on my best behavior, I promise." I nodded my head and we walked into my home. My family was there, standing like the perfect statues they were. The place was the same as I left and Roy's eyes widened at everything. I squeezed his hand gently, yes this was all for him. He sent me a smile and then looked at all of my family. He bowed his head, an embarrassed flush covering his cheeks. "Thank you for having this party for me."
Alice grinned and skipped to our side in a flash, before he could blink and hugged him. I tensed a bit, but relaxed. If I'm not dangerous to him, than Alice should be fine. Alice said. "No problem, I enjoyed. Plus Edward and Arya helped me!"
The room was filled with amusement and I glared at Jasper and his smug smirk. Edward also glared in his direction as Emmett boomed out a laugh. Our glares switched to him and Roy and Bella looked at him confused. I shook my head at him and Esme welcomed Roy and wished him a happy birthday. He smiled kindly at her and thanked her. I don't think anyone could be mean to Esme, she just has that mothering instinct and look about her, she and Carlisle are the closest things to parents I had in 150 years.
It seems she greeted Bella before we got here. Emmett grinned and asked. "How old are you?"
I rolled my eyes and Rosalie pushed him in annoyance. "Uh, 18."
Emmett smirked at me and I knew what he was going to say. I said. "Shut it."
Jasper dipped his head and smile, but stayed where he was. Carlisle then handed him the first gift with a smile. He flinched back in shock. "Uh, you didn't have to…I mean I didn't ask…"
Alice rolled her eyes playfully. "Just open it, I already saw that you will love what we give you." He stared at her and blinked, I whispered in his ear. "Don't worry, you'll get used to her, we all did."
I was teasing in the last bit and Alice pouted at me. Roy unwrapped it and saw new Nikes that were gray and black. I looked down at his shoes and saw that they looked a bit worn. That was from Alice and Jasper along with a couple of expensive shirts and other clothes. He thanked her. Carlisle and Esme gave him two tickets for a plane where he wanted to go. He was floored and tried to object, but they easily pushed his concerns away with find words and smiles.
His ears were dark red, but he accepted it. Rose and Emmett gotten him a brand new four heavy duty tires for his car and Emmett said he would install them and something in his car for his engine, to make it accelerate faster. I pulled him closer at that with a glare. Roy squeezed my hand and I calmed down.
Edward, more into music, gave him a couple of CD's he thought he would like along with a stereo. That was also from Bella. Roy thanked them all, a grateful look in his eyes. Money was nothing to us; really it was just a perk to us that we had. I would buy Roy anything he wanted without a second thought if he wanted it. But I have a big feeling (from what we saw before), he won't ask me for it.
Bella and Roy had some cake and the family started to split off. I said. "I and Roy will be in my room."
I nodded to them all as Roy thanked them again and I chuckled. "Off we go." He gave a sharp yelp as I literally picked him off his feet in my arms and ran upstairs to my room. I lightly tossed him on my bed and hovering over him. He blinked at me. "What?"
I smirked, kissing him on the nose. "You didn't think I would forget to give you something, did you?"
He shrugged with a sly grin as he upturned his eyebrows. "…and what would that be?"
I smirked wider at his tone and went near his lips, but then kissed his forehead and got off him, sitting on the edge and grabbing something from beside the wall. I heard his breathing getting heavier in shock and I grinned at his reaction. I showed him what I had. He asked. "Your guitar?"
I nodded. "Yeah, when you learn I thought that you could have mine instead, because its special to me." I felt suddenly shy at the end of that. What if he thinks its stupid? His eyes were wide and he asked. "You would give that to me?"
I nodded and placed it back by the wall. I laid sideways on the bed with him. He asked, facing me. "Why is that important?"
I smiled softly. "Carlisle gave to me when he introduced something like that to me, to introduce me to the Cullen's more."
His hot breath washed over my face and my throat burned a bit and mouth filled with venom a little, but I hunted yesterday, so I was fine as long as I held it back. "I wouldn't want anyone else to have it."
He smiled brightly and widely at and I poked him in the side. He jumped with a grunt. I cocked my head to the side. "What's wrong?"
His face was read and looked away from my eyes. "Nothing."
Wait, he would only jump like that if…testing it, I ran my fingers down his side. He twitched and snorted. I smiled wide. "Your ticklish."
He shook his head, going redder. "No, I'm not."
A sudden feeling of mischievous filled me. "Let's set about that."
"No, wait Ary-ahhh! No!" I ran my hands across the back of his neck and ribs. He was beet red and flailing and pleading. I snickered and laughed with him. After all of his ticklish spots in 5 minutes, I let up.
He huffed. "I hate you."
I waited till he had his breath and held his cheek pressing his lips to me and pressed him a little to the bed. He reacted hungrily and soon enough I pulled away. He pouted and I chuckled at him, grinning.
"Time for Round Two."
"What!? No!" Laughter rang in my room.

Later on, I brought him home along with his presents and we were at his front door. He said. "We should find a place for those tickets sometime that's not sunny."
I nodded with a smile. "That sounds like a great idea."
I pressed him against the wall, my arms and hands on either side of his head, closing my lips over his, deciding to see him at night only for a few days to a week to calm down his mother since the lady hates me. I pressed my lips closer and ran a hand through his hair to the back of his head. We pulled away and I said. "Happy Birthday."
His swollen lips turned up in a smile. "Thank you; I had a good time, other than the tickling." That part was muttered and I laughed, getting a mock glare in return. I nodded and then told him I would see him tonight. With that, he opened the door and went inside. I walked back to my car and drove home.
And I thought that meeting him and being around him would be the worst mistake of my life and winded up being one of the best. My family, except for Rosalie likes him and he makes me feel less like a monster.
I smiled as I drove, I couldn't be happier.

Wow, ok sorry I haven't updated in a while, but being a high school senior is tiring and I've sick on top of that, hell I still am. I would like to thank all the reviews, follows, favorites and readers that liked my story. This will be a finished story and when I have more time, I will start New Moon.
Plus, the chapter is more than half as long as usual.
