AN: Hey everyone! I would love to thank those of you who are being extremely patient with me. I really appreciate it. Y'all are amazing. Thank you to Mystical Redhead for your review. It sincerely made me smile.

Reminder that I do not own Gilmore Girls or Milo Ventimiglia. I wish that I did.. but I don't.

The sun could not have been brighter and her head was killing her. Waking up with a grimace, Zoey tried to sit up in bed. She looked down to see that she was still in the outfit she was wearing the previous night. She breathed a sigh of relief. She seemed to be in her bedroom, but she didn't remember how she got there. She assumed Jess had something to do with it. Zoey slowly got out of bed and slipped on a pair of fuzzy slippers and pajamas. Her head pounded as she made her way down the hallway towards the living room where she could hear the television going softly.

On the couch was Jess with his head in his hands. It seemed that she wasn't alone in her pain. "Morning." Zoey greeted, her voice weak. Jess's head rose slowly.

"Morning.. I think that we're out of Tylenol."His voice was rough. She found it to be kind of sexy.

Zoey gave a sympathetic glance. "You too, huh?"

Jess nodded. "It seems so. I don't have work until tonight though. Matt needed me to take the late shift at Truncheon. Hopefully this will be gone by then."

"Hopefully.. I heard that coffee and or sleep helps with a hangover.. If you're looking for a remedy."

"Maybe I'll try more sleep.. Hey, do you want to watch a movie or something? or are you going back into your bedroom?"

"A movie sounds great. I just need to get some coffee and I'll be right there."

Zoey smiled and walked into the kitchen to prepare her coffee. When she went to retrieve her creamer, she spotted what seemed to be an invitation. "Jess, what's this?" Her curiosity getting the better of her. Jess looked back to see what she was talking about. "That is an invitation."

"I can see that.." Zoey smirked. "Who are Lorelai Gilmore and Luke Danes?" She asked, hoping that she didn't mess up pronouncing the woman's name.

"Luke Danes is my uncle and Lorelai is the woman that he's marrying. Why do you ask?"

"I ask because the wedding is a month away. I didn't know if you knew." She shrugged and poured creamer into her coffee cup. Once her coffee was brewed, the brunette made her way back to the living room, sitting next to Jess on the couch. "Yeah, I knew. I've been trying to help my uncle with some things. I actually need to leave a few days early." He said simply, turning on the dvd player.

"Oh, okay.. Thanks for letting me know. I guess that I'll have the apartment to myself." Zoey then got back up and put in a movie. She usually watched it when she wasn't feeling the best. It usually put her in a better mood. This time when she sat down, she sat a little closer to Jess.

"10 Things I Hate About You? Really?" Jess frowned.

"Yes. It makes me feel better usually.. If you completely hate it, we can put in a movie of your choice next." Zoey retorted lazily.

Jess eventually conceded when it got to the menu screen. Zoey pressed play and settled back into the couch a couple of inches away from Jess. It only took 10 minutes for Jess to be asleep with his head back on the couch. Five minutes later, Zoey was asleep. Her head was on Jess's shoulder and she was cuddled up to him, her arm around his torso. Unknowingly, Jess moved his head to where it was on top of hers. They stayed like that for the rest of the movie.

The next thing Jess knew, his phone was ringing. He tried to reach it, but almost instantly realized that Zoey was leaning on him. Jess paused momentarily trying to think of what to do. He liked feeling the warmth that was radiating off of her, but he couldn't risk the fact that this phone call could be important. Jess then gently reached out to table, grabbed his phone and answered it. Somehow he did this without waking Zoey up.

"Hello?" He greeted in a hushed tone.

"Jess? It's your Uncle Luke. Did I catch you at a bad time?" Luke asked, sounding a little frustrated, the sound of a busy diner in the background.

"Yeah, hey Uncle Luke. No you didn't, I just have to be quiet. What's going on?" He responded, glancing down at Zoey.

"Well, Lorelai was finalizing the guestlist for the wedding and she asked if you were coming with anyone and since I didn't know I thought that I'd give you a call." Luke explained.

Jess looked down once more at Zoey, who seemed to be stirring. "You know what, Can I get back to you on that?" Luke simply said okay before the two said their goodbyes.

He didn't realize it before, but Zoey was clutching onto Jess's shirt. Jess tried to get comfortable, but it just wasn't happening. Zoey's eyes opened slowly and seemed to widen quickly before she moved to where she was sitting straight up. "I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to fall asleep on you." Zoey blushed and crossed her legs.

Jess grinned and said. "No, it's alright. Really. Apparently we needed the sleep.." He chuckled slightly before readjusting his seated position.

Zoey glanced over at Jess before turning more towards him. "So, um. Is there a movie that you'd like to watch?"

"I can't think of any, but I would have to check my bedroom to refresh my memory." He paused, not moving off of the couch. "Can I ask you something?"

Zoey's eyebrows rose in curiosity. "Yeah, of course. What is it?"

Jess rubbed his hands together as he thought of a way to ask Zoey. "I was just talking to my uncle on the phone not too long ago and he, uh, he asked me if I was bringing anyone.. At first I was going to tell him no, but then I thought that maybe you'd want to go.. So, would you like to accompany me to the wedding? You don't have to if you don't want. It's completely up to you."

Zoey sat on the couch, a little stunned, trying to form her response. She could see Jess's face start to falter. "I would like that. It sounds like fun. I've always wanted to see the town that Dean talked about. It always sounded charming." The girl smiled.

Jess felt the relief wash over him. She agreed to go with him. Maybe if things went well, he would be taking her to the wedding as his girlfriend and not just his roommate. "Great. I just have to call my Uncle Luke so that he can tell his bride to be." He explained as he got off the couch and started to walk into his bedroom, closing the door behind him. Zoey just simply smiled and nodded.

Once Jess was out of the room, Zoey couldn't control how large her smile became. She was really starting to realize how much she liked Jess. Maybe this wedding wouldn't be just an awkward one time thing. She felt like she needed to talk girl talk with someone, but she couldn't will herself off of the couch and all the way into her bedroom. She would just do it later.

It wasn't long before Jess was back in the livingroom. "We're all set. Lorelai's got us down on the guest list." He said somewhat happily. It was then that Zoey realized that he was carrying a movie.

"Lost Boys?" She inquired with a smirk.

"Yeah, why not? Maybe we'll actually stay awake for this one." He smirked. Jess then put the movie in and sat down close to Zoey, his arm laying on the back of the seat behind her.

'This could definitely be the start of something.' Zoey thought to herself as she leaned back, feeling Jess's arm.

That was the chapter! I hope that you liked it. Don't forget to tell me what you think. It would be greatly appreciated. I hope that you are having a wonderful day/night! 3
