Yo! So here's the second part of Liechtenstein's POV! Hope you enjoy! Also, I'm surprised I got this written and up not too long after I finished the other one! The power of inspiration! WOOOOOOO!

Lili's POV part 2

"What do you mean there's a breach?" Mr Gilbert said alertness coming to his voice.

"There's a crack in the South wall."

"A… crack?" Mr Gilbert sighed in relief and chuckled, "God Vash, don't joke like that!"

"I'm not joking!" my brother said in a harsh tone. "A wall in the Southern wing has sustained heavy damage. It looked like something had rammed into it and hard, any more and there will be a large, gaping hole in the southern wall."

"Well, what do you wanna do about it?" Mr Gilbert said hopping off the crate.

"Fix it!" my brother says 'in a matter of fact' voice. "If not then reinforce it. We need to make sure that nothing penetrates these walls. We don't want to find ourselves in a code red scenario and running away from this place. I would prefer to stay put since I doubt that we could find another facility as useful as this that isn't occupied or infested."

I admired my brother; he was a good fighter and an amazing engineer/mechanic. He was good at handling weapons and managing supplies as well. If only he would teach me, I would love to become just like him when I grew up. I saw Mr Gilbert shrug, "Suppose you're right. Well, let's get to it."

My brother nodded and turned to me, "Lili go back to your room and stay there. If you happen to come across any of the others then, tell them what we're doing." With that he turned to Mr Gilbert and motioned to get going. I hopped off the crate I was sitting on and called out to them.

"Wait!" my brother turned around and Mr Gilbert did the same. Good, I caught their attention. I gulped and was about to speak when I saw the look my brother was giving me. It was harsh, almost menacing, daring me to disobey him. He knew what I wanted to say, but I was going to say it anyways. I had already made up my mind that I was going to try and help them so; I took a deep breath and looked at my brother square in the eyes.

"I want to co-"

"No!" I had barely even said anything when my brother harshly cut me off. "I will NOT allow you to be subjected to any danger."

I flinched at his words but I wasn't about to give up, "You never let me do anything and I feel like I'm just a burden to you! Let me help and be useful for once!"

"I said No," my brother's hard look never faltered, not even once. He was adamant that I did as I was told and I was just as persistent on coming.

Mr Gilbert gave a frustrated sigh and put a hand on my brother's shoulder, "This is no time to be arguing. Just let her come already."

My brother shot him a defiant look, "Absolutely NOT!"

I saw Mr Gilbert sigh once more, "Look Vash now is as good as a time as any for her to learn the ropes. She's almost what, 13? The butterfly has to spread her wings someday. She's gotta learn how to defend herself. After all, circumstances as it is, you aren't always going to be by her side to protect her."

A pained look crossed my brother's face and he shrugged off the older man's hand. He looked at me with a softer gaze and said, "Fine. Just, stay close, don't wander off and watch where you're going… Okay?"

I nodded and quickly walked up to them, trying to match their large strides. It didn't take us long to reach the South wall and it looked just as bad as my brother said. There was a huge bulge in the wall as if something big had hit it and cracks were running to every corner. It looked to me as if one touch could make the entire thing crumble. I heard Mr Gilbert whistle, "That's one big crack." He then looks at my brother in a questioning way and it never seemed to stop me wondering how Mr Gilbert always seemed to have the least authority out of everyone. After all, he was taking orders from my brother who is younger than him by at least 8, 7 years?

My brother examined the wall then turned to Mr Gilbert, "We need to support the worst hit area." He gestured to the bulge, "If we could find something, maybe some wood or rope then maybe we could lessen the chances of it crumbling."

Mr Gilbert nodded and strode off somewhere in search for some wood. Brother then turned to me, "If you find something useful bring it to me or call me if you can't carry it." I nodded and was about to set off when he caught my arm and said, "Be careful."

He let me go and went to search for supplies himself. I turned around, doubt starting to fill my mind. I was making him worry. I sighed and shook my head; I wanted this so I should try my best! I started rummaging through some debris that had fallen from the roof when it had broken and in the background I heard my brother and Mr Gilbert exchange some words. I looked behind me and saw the two of them shifting some large pillars of wood that used to support the roof before it had collapsed and it motivated me to search even harder.

After a few curses from Mr Gilbert and a complaint about the noise from my brother, they began the reinforcement of the wall. Through the sounds of hammering and chatter, I managed to find some thick rope that used to be a part of stage curtains and quickly ran them over to my brother. When they saw what I had found, Mr Gilbert looked proud and my brother impressed. I was so happy that I was able to do something useful and not just get in the way. I watched them hammer in a few thick slabs of wood together across the wall when I decided to try and search for some more supplies.

I ran back to the place I had found the rope and was in high spirits that I would once again find something useful. After a while of searching and rummaging, I started to feel discouraged at not finding anything when I saw a wooden board propped up on a large concrete slab. I walked towards it, making sure I didn't fall and injure myself in some way. Once I reached it, I took a deep breath and lifted the board up expecting it to be heavy. Surprisingly, it wasn't. I started to walk away with it when I felt something grab my ankle. I stopped mid stride and turned around. It was one of them!

Its lower part of the body was crushed by the concrete slab but its upper half was still alive and moving. I heard it groan as it pulled on my ankle and I was swept off my feet. I had underestimated their strength, despite it being nothing but skin and bones, it was really strong. I fell with a thud and felt it start to pull me closer. I struggled, trying my hardest to claw my way out of its grasp but I was powerless. It yanked me and I let out a screech. Everything seemed to be happening so fast. I felt a sting on my leg and my heart pounded in my chest. There was a gunshot and the hand holding me went limp.

I turned around and saw a bullet wound landed perfectly on the head. I was in shock. I didn't know what to do, I was frozen. It was the nearing footsteps that snapped me back into action. I shook my leg free from the grasp and wiped the blood off my ankle, pulling up my sock to cover it.

"Lili!" My brother was next to me, shotgun in hand and helping me up. "Are you okay?"

I nodded. It was a lie.

My brother was breathing heavily, his face a mixture of worry and disbelief. Once we were far enough away from the corpse, we sat down. My brother was staring at me wide eyed, he was scared. Brother always showed me a strong face that reassured me and I hardly ever knew what he was really thinking. But he was close to tears. He suddenly hugged me and I could feel him shaking.

"I… I told you to be careful didn't I? God… Don't make me worry like that!"

I rested my head on his shoulders, too defeated to say anything. We were all each other had. Our parents died when I was small and brother had always looked after me. I knew that he was afraid of losing another person he loved. That very thought saddened me. I knew I wasn't out of the clear yet. My ankle was throbbing and it hurt really badly, I didn't even know if it was a scratch or… something else. I prayed that it wasn't a bite for I knew that it would be over if it was.

I felt my brother's grip tighten and I returned his embrace. If there was one thing that I knew, whether it was a bite or not. I could never tell my brother.
