Hello! :-) I am sorry i have not updated as regularly as I used to but with Christmas and New Year I have had zero time to do anything never mind write. But not all the holiday celebrations are done I am hoping to get back to updating at least once a week again. For this story I felt we needed something for Emma and Regina to really bond and I hope this has appeared to do that for them. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on Elsa and that whole storyline so I have rounded that off in this chapter. For future chapters I am planning to move the time on a little more so in the next chapter we will have a bit of a time jump. Anyway, Enjoy and let me know!

Emma moved her hands up and down Regina's arms trying to warm her up a bit but she knew it probably would not have the desired effect. She needed to get Regina out of this ice cave and soon. She looked down at Regina and could see her eyes were beginning to flutter closed. She shook Regina gently spurring her and making her sit up.

"Regina teach me another song." Emma said.

Elsa looked over to them. She then sat back down beside them. "Yes Regina I would love to hear a song."

Regina looked from Emma to Elsa not sure what to do. She was cold and she was tired. All she wanted was just to lie down and go to sleep but she somehow knew Emma would not let her do so. "Wha.…what song?"

"What about the one about the ducks? You were going to tell me earlier." Emma said. "I really want to hear that one Regina."

"Okay…" Regina said her teeth still chattering. "Five little ducks went swimming one day. Over the pond and far away. Mommy duck said quack quack come back but only four little ducks came back." Regina went on with her song until she got down to none little ducks coming back. "And then daddy duck said quack quack come back and five little ducks came swimming back."

"That was great Regina. I loved it." Emma praised making Regina smile a little.

Regina's smile then disappeared and she cuddled into Emma a bit more. "Emma I want to see mommy and daddy. I don't like it in here."

"I know Regina. Don't worry we will see mommy and daddy soon. I promise." Emma said hugging Regina closer to her. She then placed a kiss on top of her head.

"I want to go sleep." Regina said quietly.

"No Regina you need to stay awake." Emma said shaking Regina gently. There was only so much more they could do to keep Regina awake. There was only so much more of this ice cave Regina could take, as well as Emma herself. Emma looked up at Elsa. She was now desperate she needed to get Regina out of here. She needed to get her little sister out of here. She hadn't realised just how much she was beginning to bond with Regina before. She didn't realise just how much she was now seeing Regina as her little sister. "Elsa listen to me, you need to get us out of here. My little sister is not going to last much longer in here. Please get us out."

"I can't." Elsa said shaking her head.

"I get it okay? I know it is hard to control your power. I have magic and hell I cannot control it and probably will never be able to fully control it. I have been trying to use it to warm Regina up but it is not working." Emma said.

"You have magic?" Elsa asked.

"Yes. I'm the saviour of all things. I have magic and like you I cannot control it. But you need to try Elsa. if you don't then I might lose my little sister." Emma said.

Elsa looked down at Regina and then back to Emma. "I can't control my magic without Anna. She helps me."

Emma sighed a little. "Please Elsa you need to try. If we don't get out of here then how are you going to find Anna? there will be no way to find Anna if you are stuck in here. I promise you I will help find her. I know a way to find her."

"You do?" Elsa asked.

Emma nodded her head. "Yes but we need to get out of here." Emma looked down at Regina, her lips were blue, she was really shivering now and her eyes were fluttering closed. They didn't have much time left. It was now or never. "Please Elsa you need to try. I need to get my little sister out of here. Imagine if this was Anna, you would have to do everything you could to protect her right? Well I am trying to do that for Regina but there is only so much I can do. Please just try."

Elsa looked down at Regina and even she could see the little girl couldn't last much longer here. So she nodded her head and she turned to the blocked entrance of the ice cave. She held up her hands and took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment summoning all her magic. Then opening her eyes she let her magic flow through her and it flew out of her hands and hit the entrance to the ice cave and the blast of magic took down the ice blocking it.

Emma stood up as quickly as she could and she stumbled with Regina in her arms towards the now clear exit with Elsa following her. She stumbled out of the ice cave, being careful not to drop Regina and couldn't help but smile as she saw David, Mary-Margaret and Hook stood there. She had never been so happy to see three people more in her life.

"Emma!" Mary-Margaret shouted. She ran over to Emma and Regina with David following her. She wrapped her arms around Emma being careful not to crush Regina. She then pulled away and looked down at Regina who did not look good at all.

"You need to get her to hospital." Emma said passing Regina over to David. "I done everything I could…"

"We know Emma. Come on let's get to hospital. I think you should get checked out too." David said carrying Regina towards the car.

David and Mary-Margaret sat on the chairs in the hospital waiting room with Elsa sat near them to. They didn't really know what to say to Elsa. What could they say? They didn't blame Emma for what happened. If they were blaming anyone it would be this Elsa girl but Emma had told them not to blame her and that she would explain more to them later.

Mary-Margaret sighed and she stood up and began to pace up and down. She couldn't sit still. All she wanted was to know whether her daughters were okay. They all turned as the door opened but their shoulders sagged a little as they saw it was just Ruby bringing Henry in.

"How's mom? And Regina? Are they okay?" Henry said quickly as he rushed over to where Mary-Margaret was stood.

"We don't know anything yet Henry but I am sure they are going to be fine." Mary-Margaret said trying to give Henry a comforting smile.

Once again they all turned as the door opened and this time is was Doctor Whale. David stood up and he and Mary-Margaret rushed forward with Henry hot at their heels, as well as Elsa and Ruby. "How are they?" Mary-Margaret asked.

"Are they alright?" David asked at the same time as Mary-Margaret.

"Emma and Regina are both going to be alright." Doctor Whale said making them all sigh in relief. "If they had been in that ice cave any longer things may have turned out differently. Emma is doing much better, she has been warming up and seems to be back to normal. Regina is different because she is younger than Emma. The cold effected her more and although Emma informed us she done everything she could I think if Regina was in there half an hour longer we might not have been able to help her."

"But she is okay now?" Mary-Margaret asked.

Doctor Whale nodded. "We are doing everything we can to warm Regina up now. She will be alright."

"Oh thank god." David sighed in relief. "Can we go and see them?"

"Yes, I have placed them both in the same room. Emma requested to be near Regina. I will take you all down there now. But please go easy on Regina. She needs her rest."

Everyone followed Doctor Whale down to the private room that Regina and Emma were sharing. He told them that if he needed him just to call and then left them. They all entered the room and smiled as they saw Emma sat up in her bed that was quite close to Regina's. Mary-Margaret then looked over to Regina and gasped. Regina still looked cold and she was fast asleep. She looked so small and helpless in the bed. It just reminded her of not so long ago when Regina was ill. Mary-Margaret walked in-between Emma and Regina's beds and she placed her hand on top of Regina's and looked over to Emma.

"How are you Emma?" She asked. David came up behind her and rested against Emma's bed.

"I'm alright, feel much better now I'm in a warmer place." She said with a slight smile.

"Mom!" Henry said running over to her and wrapping his arms around her.

"Hey kid." Emma replied and wrapped her arms around him.

"I was so worried when Ruby told me you were here." He then looked over to Regina. "Is she okay?"

Emma looked over and sighed a little. "Doctor Whale told me she would be fine, I presume he told you guys the same?" Mary-Margaret and David nodded. "I am so sorry about this, I really am. I feel so bad. I shouldn't have taken her with me. I wasn't going to, I told her to stay put with Hook for five minutes until I checked it out but she wouldn't stay put. She wouldn't leave my side. I knew it was a bad idea to take her."

"Emma…" David started as he stood forward. He took Emma's hand in his. "You don't need to apologise. We know none of this was meant and we know you were only doing what was best for Regina at the time. If I am honest I am kind of glad you didn't leave her with Hook. There is something about that man I just don't trust. If this was to happen I am glad Regina was with you because I know no matter what that you done everything you could to look after her."

"I agree with everything your father said Emma. You done everything you could for Regina. You protected her. This wasn't your fault.." Mary-Margaret then glanced over to where Elsa stood awkwardly with Ruby just in front of her. Ruby just gave a brief smile as Emma looked over to where Mary-Margaret was looking.

"Please don't blame Elsa either." Emma said catching the look Mary-Margaret gave Elsa. "She didn't mean for this to happen. If Hook hadn't have come looking for me after I told him to stay where he was then she wouldn't have gotten a fright and blocked the entrance to the ice cave. She didn't mean for this. Like me she struggles with controlling her magic." Emma then looked over at Elsa. "I'm sorry if all of this has scared you."

"I'm alright." Elsa stepped forward. "And I think I am the one who should be apologising. You are making great excuses for me but I should have tried before I did to try and break through the ice to get you and your sister out." Elsa said glancing over to a sleeping Regina. "I am sorry." She said now looking at Mary-Margaret and David.

They both nodded in acceptance and then looked back at Emma. "I said we would help find Elsa's sister. That is why she is here. She thinks her sister is around here somewhere. I promised I would help her." Emma said.

"I'm sure we can do that. After all you did eventually get my daughters out of the ice cave." Mary-Margaret said giving a softer look.

"I would be eternally grateful to you all." Elsa replied.

Just then everyone heard a small groan from Regina's bed and they all looked over to see Regina beginning to stir. Mary-Margaret and David turned to face Regina, Henry ran round to the other side of Regina's bed, as well as Ruby and Elsa and Emma sat up as high as she could to look over and see Regina. Regina's eyes began to flutter open and she removed her hand from Mary-Margaret's and rubbed at her eyes and let out a little yawn. She then opened her eyes fully and they landed on Mary-Margaret and David who both smiled at the small girl.

"Mommy…Daddy…" Regina said with a smile on her face.

"Hi baby. We're here. How are you feeling?" Mary-Margaret asked.

"Okay, still cold." Regina replied quietly.

"Don't worry princess you'll warm up soon." David said rubbing Regina's cheek a little.

"Emma?" Regina said looking around her bed not seeing Emma.

"I'm over here kid." Emma said and Mary-Margaret moved a little so that Regina could see Emma and as soon as she did a big smile fell onto her face. "You alright kid?"

Regina nodded her head and then she looked back over at her mommy and daddy. "Cuddle mommy?" Regina said holding out her arms. Mary-Margaret couldn't help the smile that spread on her face and she sat on the bed and pulled Regina onto her lap and held onto her tightly not wanting to let go of her. Regina snuggled into Mary-Margaret and took fistfuls of her top, holding on tightly. She then glanced over to see a very nervous looking Elsa standing at the foot of the bed. She gave her a little smile and moved a little in Mary-Margaret's embrace to look more at Elsa. "Queen Elsa." She said happily letting go of Mary-Margaret's top and waving at Elsa.

Elsa smiled and waved back at Regina. She was so happy that the little girl was alright. "Hello Princess Regina."

Regina giggled a little and looked up at Mary-Margaret and David. "Queen Elsa agrees with you daddy and says I am princess."

"Well you are very much a princess sweetheart." David said placing a kiss to the top of Regina's head.

"She is indeed and I seem to remember I promised you something did I not?" Elsa said pretending to frown and think about what she may have promised the little girl.

Regina gasped and nodded her head excitedly. "Yes, yes you did! If I stays awake you said you would make me a princess crown!"

"Ah yes that was it. You have a wonderful memory princess Regina." Elsa replied. She then looked over to Mary-Margaret and David as if asking their permission to use magic around the little girl. She figured they would probably still be nervous around her even if Emma had asked them to trust her. She didn't blame them, she would be exactly the same in their shoes she was sure she would.

Mary-Margaret bit her lip and looked up at David who shrugged his shoulders letting her know he was okay with it if she were. "Well who are we to deny the little princess a crown." and David smiled at her. They then both looked over to Elsa and nodded their consent.

Elsa then stepped forwards a little and she moved her hand, her magic swirling around and Regina watched in awe as a beautiful sparkling white crown formed in Elsa's hands. "Wow!" Regina whispered making everyone laugh a little.

Elsa then stepped closer to Regina and held the crown out in two hands and bowed slightly. "For you princess Regina." Regina giggled and Elsa stood up and then placed the crown on top of Regina's head, which fit perfectly.

"Look! Look I'm a proper princess!" Regina then pulled away from Mary-Margaret and stood up on the bed showing off her crown to everyone in the room. "Look Henry!"

"It's great Regina." Henry said with a little laugh.

"Emma look! Look! I gots my crown from Queen Elsa!" Regina said excitedly turning to face Emma and jumping on the bed a little.

Emma giggled a little and was so happy to see Regina like that again. For a little time in that ice cave she wasn't sure if she was going to see Regina like that again. "I see kid. It's lovely."

"Regina please be careful! Come on sit back down you still need to rest."Mary-Margaret said as she tried to pull Regina back down onto the bed.

"But mommy I'm not tired anymore. Princesses don't need to rest." Regina said frowning a little.

"They do when they have not been well. Now come and sit down." Mary-Margaret insisted.

"Fine." Regina huffed and she sat back down on the bed.

A couple of days later and both Emma and Regina were out of the hospital and feeling pretty good. The bond between them had seem to grow stronger since the ice cave and Emma looked to Regina as more like her little sister and had grown quite protective of the little girl in the last couple of days.

Now that Emma was out of the hospital she was doing as she promised to Elsa and trying to help her find her sister with the help of David and also Regina who David had decided to just bring to work, how much trouble could she cause really? Was what he had said to Mary-Margaret the night before.

All in all the morning had gone well. Regina had behaved and they were really beginning to get somewhere in finding Elsa's sister. They had gone to Gold and with the necklace Elsa had managed to put a tracing spell on it and now they were following the necklace through the town.

Regina had not left Elsa's side through most of the morning, finding being around a queen the best thing ever! So as they walked through the town Regina was by Elsa's side. "What it like to have magic?" Regina asked.

"Good and bad." Elsa shrugged. "I like it when I can control it. When I can't control it and it can hurt someone then I don't like it."

Regina nodded her head. "That make sense."

Elsa laughed a little at Regina's response as did Emma and David. "She is four going on thirty that kid." Emma said.

"Don't I know it." David mumbled.

Elsa laughed. "The thought of her getting older scares you?" Elsa questioned.

"Terrifies me." David replied causing the two women to laugh a bit more. "I am already keeping a close eye on her when she is around that Robin kid."

"Oh dad they are four. It might be a little while before you have to worry about Robin." Emma replied.

"Look Emma…" Regina said tugging on Emma's arm. "The necklace glowing."

"So it is kid. Well spotted." Emma said ruffling Regina's hair. They all followed the necklace a little more before it stopped outside a house. Emma plucked the necklace from the air and handed it back to Elsa. "The necklace as taken us here so this is where I presume your sister is."

Elsa nodded her head and she raised her hand, taking a deep breath she knocked on the door. A couple of minutes passed and then movement could be heard behind the door and then the door opened to reveal a young woman, with brown eyes and brown hair in braids. Elsa gasped and a hand flew to her mouth. "Anna?"

"Elsa." the woman gasped and the door was flung open and the woman threw herself at Elsa, wrapping her arms around her. "You found me!"

"I always said I would." Elsa replied.

"We'll give you two some privacy." Emma said stepping away with David and Regina following her.

They gave the sisters plenty of time to catch up and later on that day Elsa came back to them with Anna to ask if there was any way they knew how to get them home. They went back to Gold and he told them of a portal he knew of. He took them to where the portal was and they all said their goodbyes, Regina not happy at all that the queen had to leave. But Elsa just smiled at the young girl, gave her a hug and told her to be the special little princess that she is which seemed to keep Regina happy for a little bit.

As they left David let out a big sigh. "Do you think that's the drama done for now?" David asked.

Emma chuckled a little. "We live in Storybrooke, drama just exists here. All we can do is live each day as it comes and enjoy it."

"Never a truer word spoken." David said wrapping his arm around Emma's shoulders and placed a kiss to the side of her head. He then took Regina's hand and they made their way back through the town.
