I have just recently found out I am going to be an Auntie so been spending a lot of time with family celebrating and work has been mad so any time I haven't been working or celebrating has been sleeping haha! But finally I have managed to get some writing done and here is the result. I hope you all enjoy it and I will try and get the next chapter up a bit quicker next time.

It was the next day and Regina had invited Rose round to the mansion. David was in charge as Mary-Margaret had decided to take Josh out to the park. It seemed to be an easy afternoon as the two teenage girls were up in Regina's room and were being quite quiet as they listened to some music and talked.

Regina threw herself back on her bed in a dramatic fashion and groaned. "Rose I don't know what to do. I mean do you think Robin likes me?" Regina said turning her head to look at Rose.

Rose rested back slightly on her elbows and looked at Regina. "I don't know Regina. I think he might do."

"Might do?" Regina asked raising an eyebrow. "God I can't do anything on might do."

"Well what about William?" Rose asked.

"William Nottingham? Are you kidding me?" Regina said her voice a little louder and squeakier than it had been before.

"What? He's not that bad. A little big headed and fancies himself but he is quite good looking." Rose said.

"He is horrible Rose." Regina groaned and stared up at her ceiling.

"Well I can tell you right away that William fancies you rotten. Everyone can totally see that."

Regina sighed. "Yea well he can keep his feelings to himself. He is getting nowhere near me." Regina replied.

"I don't think he will give up on you."

David had been stood outside Regina's bedroom. He hadn't really meant to eavesdrop on his teenage daughters conversation with her friend. He was only mean to knock and ask if they wanted something for lunch but once he had heard what the topic was he couldn't help but listen.

Boys! Why did they have to be talking about boys? She is far too young for that, isn't she? He shook his head and decided perhaps he should get on with what he was going to do before Regina catches him listening. So he knocked on the door and waited for a reply to be shouted.

"Yea?" Regina shouted.

David opened the door to see the two teenagers lying on Regina's bed. He smiled at them both as they looked over at him. "Hey girls. I was just wondering if you were hungry? I was going to make some lunch."

"You? You were going to make lunch?" Regina asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yea, just a sandwich or something." David shrugged.

Regina nodded and looked over at Rose. "You hungry?"

Rose shrugged her shoulders. "I could eat something."

"Okay yea we'll have something." Regina said looking back over to David. "Thanks dad." She added flashing a smile at him.

"You're welcome. Be downstairs in five minutes." David said as he went to turn and walk out of the room.

"Can't we have lunch up here?" Regina whined slightly as she sat up.

"No. You know your mother doesn't like you having food upstairs." David replied as he walked out of the room. He smirked slightly as he heard the mutterings of Regina and made his way downstairs just as Mary-Margaret and Josh entered the house.

"We're back daddy!" Josh shouted happily as he kicked his shoes off and took his coat off.

"So I see buddy. You hungry?" David asked and then gave Mary-Margaret a quick peck on the cheek.

"Yea so so soooo hungry." Josh said dramatically.

They both laughed and walked towards the kitchen with Josh following them. David went about making the sandwiches while Mary-Margaret helped Josh with washing his hands. "Mary-Margaret is it normal for girls to…you know…talk about…boys…even at Regina's age?" David asked falling over his words and sounding very awkward.

"Oh yea. I would say more so at Regina's age. It's just a normal girl thing. Why?" Mary-Margaret replied as she placed Josh back down.

"Nothing really. I just overheard Regina and Rose talking…about boys…" David shrugged.

"You were eavesdropping?" Mary-Margaret asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well I wouldn't say that, more like accidentally hearing some of their conversation."

Mary-Margaret rolled her eyes at him. "You know if Regina had caught you she would have gone mad."

"Yea yea I know." David said waving his hand dismissively. "I just personally think she is still far too young to be talking about boys."

Mary-Margaret laughed a little. "Well there is nothing you can do about it sadly. Who were they talking about anyway?"

"Oh Robin and how Regina likes him and then Rose said something about how that Nottingham boy really likes Regina although thank god Regina is not interested at all in him." David explained.

"All things I already knew." Mary-Margret shrugged.

"You knew about those things?" David asked in slight surprise.

Mary-Margaret nodded her head. "Yea, god David even Josh knows that Regina likes Robin. That is old news." Mary-Margaret laughed. She leaned over and picked up two of the plates and turned on her heel. "Come on lets go have lunch."

"Yey!" Josh shouted excitedly.

They all went through to the dining room where Regina and Rose were already sat and were quietly talking. Mary-Margaret placed the two plates in front of the girls and then sat down beside Regina. Josh sat down beside Rose and opposite Regina and David sat beside Josh. Regina giggled slightly as Rose whispered one last thing to her and she nodded her head.

"Gina why you not like boy called Nottingham?" Josh asked after he took a bite of his sandwich.

Regina's eyes widened and she coughed a little as she choked slightly on her sandwich. Mary-Margaret patted Regina's back and leaned forward. "Regina are you alright?"

Regina nodded her head and reached forward for her water and took a sip. "Yes I'm fine." Regina said. "Josh how do you know about that?"

"Heard daddy and mommy talking about it." Josh shrugged and took another bite of his sandwich.

Regina looked over at Mary-Margaret and David with her eyebrows raised. "I know you know mom…" Regina said and then looked straight at David. "But how do you know?"

"Well I…I…you know…" David stuttered.

"You listened into our conversation didn't you?" Regina asked, her voice slightly more raised.

"Regina you father didn't mean to over hear what you and Rose were talking about. It was an accident." Mary-Margaret tried to explain to hopefully defuse the argument that was likely to happen.

"I can't have any privacy in this place!" Regina huffed as she leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest, a glare firmly in place on her face.

"Gina got a boyfriend, Gina got a boyfriend." Josh teased as he giggled.

"Josh shut up! I don't have a boyfriend." Regina said angrily.

"Josh please don't tease your sister." Mary-Margaret sighed.

"Gina and Nottingham sitting in a tree…" Josh started to sing.

"Oh I dare you to finish that you little…" Regina shouted standing up from her chair.

"Right that is enough!" Mary-Margaret raised her voice and placed a hand on Regina's arm. She pulled Regina gently back down so she was sitting on the seat again. "Josh I have already told you to stop teasing your sister so I expect you to stop. Regina please don't shout at your brother. Now let's eat our lunch and stop talking about this."

"Fine." Regina huffed and the rest of the lunch was eaten in silence.

A little later on once Rose had gone home, David decided to go up and speak to Regina about what had happened earlier. He had reached the top of the stairs and was stood outside Regina's bedroom. He lifted his hand up and took a deep breath before knocking on the door.

He heard shuffling from behind the door and then the door opened to reveal Regina. "Yes?" She asked.

"Can I come in Regina?"

"Why?"

"I would like to talk to you and I don't really want to do it standing out in the hallway." David said.

Regina sighed and she stepped to the side letting David into the room. She then closed the door over slightly and walked over to her bed. Climbing on she leaned against her pillows and burrowed her feet under her blanket. David sat on the edge of Regina's bed beside her legs.

"Regina I wanted to apologise for earlier. I know that I shouldn't have listened into what you and Rose were talking about. I really didn't mean to do so." David explained.

"Then why did you?" Regina asked.

David shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know Regina. As soon as I heard boys that was it…"

Regina rolled her eyes slightly. "I'm not a little girl anymore you know."

"I know you're not Regina." David said. He moved a little closer to her and placed a hand on her knee. "Believe me I know you're not and that scares the hell out of me."

"Why?" Regina asked her brows furrowing.

"Well…" David said trying to think of how he could explain to Regina why that fact scared him. "because no matter what age you are Regina I will still think of you as my little girl. It's just what a dad does and the fact that you are growing up so fast and becoming a woman it scares me."

"But why? Surely you knew I would grow up. Everyone does."

"Of course I did but it doesn't make it any easier. I know it seems silly Regina but it's because I love you that I feel that way." David said.

Regina nodded her head and tucked some of her hair behind her ear. "Well I can't stop getting older, I kind of don't have any control over it…"

David laughed a little. "Yea I know. I promise I will try not to listen into your conversations again okay?"

"Okay." Regina said giving him a slight smile.

"Now your dog wants to go out." David said as he stood up from the bed.

"She has a name you know dad." Regina replied as she too stood up from the bed.

"Yea, yea I know." David said.

"Dad…" Regina said causing David to turn round. Regina then threw herself at him, wrapping her arms tightly round him. "I love you." She said before pulling away and walking out of the room leaving David stood there with a smile on his face.

Regina walked down the stairs and over to the hall closet, grabbing her coat and boots putting both on she then grabbed the purple dog lead and turned on her heel. "Twister." Regina called. "Time to go out."

Twister came bounding through from the living room, panting, tail wagging and very excited about getting to go out for a walk. Regina giggled a little and connected Twister to the lead. Josh then came out of the play room and a big smile appeared on his face as soon as he saw Regina. It didn't matter how much Regina might try and push her little brother away he always wanted to be around her. It seemed nothing she could do would keep him away.

"Gina can I come out with you?" Josh asked as he ran over to her. "Please Gina!"

"I dunno…" Regina shrugged trying to think of a reason why he couldn't go out with her.

"Please Gina. I promise I will be good and listen to you." Josh said giving her a cute smile and big eyes hoping to win her round.

Regina sighed. "Oh fine. But go and ask mom first."

"Yey! Thanks Gina." Josh squealed and quickly ran off to find Mary-Margaret.

Regina waited and he soon returned happily telling her that he was allowed to go with her but they weren't to be too long. Regina nodded and she helped him put his boots on and then his coat and they headed out with a very excited Twister.

Josh skipped happily next to Regina as they walked along the street. "Gina you never answered my question at lunch time."

"What question?" Regina frowned.

"The one about that boy called Nottingham or something…"

"Oh that one." Regina said rolling her eyes. "There's a reason why I didn't answer it."

"Why? Was it cause you were angry at daddy?" Josh asked.

"Yes and because you don't need to know why I don't like him. I am not talking about boys with my little brother." Regina replied.

"Okay." Josh shrugged. "What can we talk about then?"

"I dunno." Regina replied. Josh sighed and looked at the ground and scuffed his feet slightly. "Josh don't scuff your feet you will ruin your boots."

"You sound like mommy." Josh huffed.

"Yea well mommy is right when she say not to scuff your boots so don't do it." Regina replied.

"Fine." Josh huffed. They walked for a little bit in silence and then Josh came up with an idea. "Gina when we go home can you play a game with me?"

"A game?" Regina asked not looking very pleased with the idea.

"Yea. I promise no baby games. A good game. Like one of the board games. Please? You never play with me anymore." Josh said looking sad when he said the last part and looking at the ground again.

Regina sighed and knew she couldn't say no to him. She didn't want him to feel sad and she hated the fact that he felt she never wanted to be around him anymore. "I suppose we could play a game when we go back." Regina replied.

"Really?" Josh asked in a surprise tone. He had asked her but he didn't think she would say yes.

"Yea but on the condition that I get to choose what game we play." Regina said giving him a smile.

"Okay, yes you can choose. But you will give me at least a little chance to win won't you?" Josh said making Regina giggle.

"I might give you a little chance. We will see."

As soon as they had got back, kicked off their boots and hung up their coats Josh was dragging Regina towards the family/play room and they were looking through the many board games they had to see what one they should play. Josh had tried suggesting a few that he was really good at and that he thought they should play those ones but Regina had refused them straight away.

She finally decided on Monopoly. So she set the board up, they chose their pieces and Regina sorted out the money, deciding she was probably best being the banker as last time they had played and let Josh be banker he had somehow managed to end up with a lot more money than they did and it wasn't because he had a lot of houses or hotels on the board.

They were well into the game and Josh had just got a card telling him he had to go to jail and he was not happy about it. "This sucks I have been in jail loads already." He whined.

Regina rolled her eyes. "Oh stop whining. Just try hard to roll a double and you will get out."

"Yea but while I'm in there you are gonna buy everywhere." Josh frowned.

"That's the aim of the game little one." Regina smirked and she picked up the dice and rolled it.

After a few more shots Josh had still not got out of jail and Regina could see he was really starting to get annoyed about it so as it came to his turn again she decided to help him out. She picked up some of her money, which she had quite a bit of and handed it to Josh. "Here get yourself out of jail."

"Thought I had to pay it?" Josh asked.

"Yea well you don't have enough. Consider it a loan. Pay me back when you have it." Regina said giving him a smile.

Josh smiled back and he took the money from her and placed it in the middle of the board and happily took his piece out of jail. They continued to play the game until Mary-Margaret came through and told Josh it was time for his bath. This did not make him happy at all. "But mooom me and Gina are playing." He whined as he obediently got up off the chair and followed Mary-Margaret out of the room.

"Yes well its bath time now." She replied.

Regina giggled and followed them out the room to go and get a drink. "Hey Josh we can leave it set up and maybe play some more tomorrow. Okay?" Regina said kindly.

"Really? You promise?" Josh asked holding out his pinkie to Regina.

Regina smiled and she linked her pinkie round Josh's. "I promise squirt."
