A/N: Hey guys! I know I know, I haven't updated AT ALL. I am so sorry, I'm in 10th grade now, I've got my board exams coming up so please be patient, I promise regular updates on all my stories in 5 months. This may be my last post for maybe a month but as soon as my prelims are done, I'mma start writing.

"You look good, Rachel."
"Just say whatever you have to and leave me alone."
"See that's the thing, Rach. I don't want to leave you alone. I want t—"
"Don't, Cooper. Just don't. I don't want to listen to what you have to say. I'm not going to," Rachel said as she walked away from Cooper.
He looked helpless. Like he was waiting for a miracle. Like he didn't know what else to do.

"Jay, Alex? Can I talk to you guys?" Sara said as sat down on the patio next to them.
"Mhm" Alex said as the patiently waited for Sara to speak.
"I don't know how to tell Clay about this right now. I figured I could use some su—support when I told him" she said before she broke into sobs.
"Whoa whoa, Sara, what's going on?" Jayden said, clearly worried.
"I…I have cancer. I just found out and I have no idea what I'm gonna tell Clay. And I don't know what's gonna happen to Logan and I just…I really just don't know" Sara cried
"What?" Alex asked, as if she didn't hear a thing. "tell me you're lying. Tell me right now"
Sara nodded her head no as Jayden pulled her in for a hug.

The sound of Jenny's crying filled the room as she was awoken by the loud noise of the door slamming.
"Damn it, Jake, open the door! You cannot do this! She is my daughter, I have the right to see her! Open the door, Jake!"
"There is no way you're coming in here, Nikki." Jake said as he walked out of the door and shut it behind him. "Look I don't have time for this. Jenny's crying, she needs me."
"Let me. She needs me too. I'm her mother, for God's sake."
"see that's where you're wrong. She doesn't need you. She's been just fine without you around" Jake said as he went back into the house to calm Jenny down.
Nikki glared at Jake as he walked away. When it was time for her to go, tears began streaming down her cheeks. She ran to her car and sped off. She just wanted to get away from Tree Hill for a while.

Brooke is sitting on the couch as Lucas comes out of the room. He'd just had a shower and was wearing a black shirt with light blue jeans. He leant on the door frame and looked at Brooke for a while before a chuckle escaped his mouth. This made Brooke look up at him with scrunched eyebrows.
"What?" she asks
"Nothing. You just look so confused. Never seen you read a book with so much interest before," Luke said as he sat down next to her.
"Yeah. Well, this is interesting. Sort of."
"Really?"
"Mmhmm" she replied as she got back to reading.
"Okay then. What's it about?"
"Well, I don't know yet, Broody boy. Still on the fifth page."
"So you just wanna read tonight? Nothing else?"
"yep"
"Okay" Lucas sighs and fakes disappointment.
"Why, do you have something planned?"
"I just thought I'd take you out tonight, but it's cool if you don't wanna go. We could do it some other time," Luke shrugged.
"No no! Just give me a few minutes to get ready"
"You mean hours"
"Shut up, I'm not that bad" Brooke says as she walks into the room. Lucas chuckles at this and switches the TV on because he knew that they weren't gonna leave the house before 8.
Just like he said, Brooke emerged from the room two hours later dressed in a long, blue dress. "Nothing fits me anymore," she pouted
"oh but there's no one in the world that could pull that dress off better than you" he smirks as he kisses her forehead. "You look beautiful, Brooke" he says as he kisses her lips s oftly.
A few minutes later, they're still kissing. Lucas begins to snake his hand up Brooke's leg but is interrupted by the doorbell ringing.
"You guys were taking so long, we had to come all the way back here to get you. Don't you answer your phone?" Haley said as she pulled Brooke out of the house. "You look stunning, by the way" she tells Brooke.
"Why thank you, tutor wife, you look pretty damn good yourself too" Brooke said as she pulls Haley in for a hug. "So is anybody gonna tell me where we're going?"
"Nah" Nathan replied before he walked up to Brooke, ruffled her hair and ran ahead.
"DAMN IT, NATHAN! IT TOOK A LONG TIME TO CURL MY HAIR! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" Brooke screamed as Nathan burst out laughing.

When they arrived, Brooke was shocked. And happy. Her dad was sitting on the couch and watching the game.
"Daddy!" Brooke squealed and ran to hug him.
"Careful there, Brookie." Ted said as he chuckled and hugged her back.

Jayden catches Brooke sitting on the patio alone. He walks upto her and sits down, offering her a gummy bear, which she doesn't take.
"Whoa you love gummy bears what the hell?"
"I know. Just not in the mood I guess…"
"Yeah. Can I ask why?"
Brooke looks at him and sighs before blinking back her tears.
"It's just… you know what you and Clay always said about Peyton? Well, I hate the fact that you were right. I mean don't get me wrong, I love you both. You're really great older brothers. It's just that I was so sure that you guys were wrong about Peyton. And now that I know the truth, it just plain hurts. I really didn't want to lose her. Ever. We always said 'hoes over bros' and I trusted her. I believed her when she said she had my back. It just really hurts that she stabbed me in it. Just that." Brooke offers Jayden a small smile which he returns.
"That's precisely why I always tell you not to where expensive clothes around her. Now you're going to have to stitch that whole back up" he said, trying to lighten the mood; he was grateful he earned a chuckle from Brooke
"You know me brother. Can't stay away from the Prada" they both laugh
"C'mon let's go back in. I am FAMISHED" Jay said and pulled Brooke up.
