Chapter 11

Sam Winchester stepped into the hallway of his house the day after his little adult adventure and looked around. There was no sign of Dean anywhere so Sam ran a hand through his hair and begun to walk to the stairway before he was stopped by none other than his brother who honestly had every right to be suspicious, but Sam had hoped he'd just leave him be.

"You stink like sex…" Dean said in an accusatory fashion.

Sam questioned whether to tell his brother the truth and just succumb to his normal Alpha ways of knotting with toys until his brother deemed him ready, but Sam decided that instead it was time to start acting like an adult and not letting Dean control him anymore.

"Had a little fun with myself last night," Sam said, firmly but not angrily, he wanted to show Dean who was boss. "Hope I didn't make too much noise Dean?"

"Not a peep," Dean replied, clearing his throat. "I'm gonna be on an all day and night date with Cas so don't expect my face back here tonight. Be as loud as you want."

"Sure thing Dean," Sam went around his brother and begun to descend the stairs, but stopped and smiled back at Dean. "Wait you're calling it a date?"

"He's been courting me a few weeks now," Dean replied meekly, for once in his life he didn't sound so confident he sounded like a lovesick teenager and Sam enjoyed the change of pace. "We've yet to…"

"Mate?" Sam smirked.

"You make it sound so technical," Dean laughed. "Yes that, the humans call it sex so that's what I'm calling it."

"Trust me Dean it'll be much more than sex when it's with someone you care about…" Sam trailed off and walked down the stairs into the kitchen, disappearing from Dean's view. Dean stared for a moment. Sam didn't know about sex or any of that, so how was he able to give such sage advice? Sure he was only a day younger than Dean, but Dean could only wonder how much Sam really did know.

Dean decided to shrug it off and go get ready for Castiel.

Gabriel sat alone on his bed and sniffled. His curtains were drawn and he hadn't gotten up from the spot he lay on in about an hour or two, he'd really lost count. Gabriel had been contemplating his next move when it came to Sam for months now. The archangel just didn't know where to go with it all.

He knew, from the moment he'd met Sam that he was lusting after the much taller Alpha male angel. Gabriel hadn't ever felt this way about anyone not even a single soul so he knew somehow Sam was special. He also knew the consequences of leaving Alphas hanging and not courting them soon enough. They often turned to other forms of release or companionship. Gabriel only hoped that Sam was different.

"Whore!"

"Mutt!"

"Slutty little Omega!"

Gabriel still heard his words. He still heard his voice, felt his hands all over his petite Omega body.

"We're gonna have a hell of a time," the older Alpha angel breathed hot breaths onto young Omega Gabriel's cheek as Gabriel whimpered underneath him. He wasn't in heat. He wouldn't be for awhile, he hadn't even matured yet and yet those Angel Mill employees insisted on throwing him into one of the Breeding Stalls and having this Alpha mount him day in and day out. "Aren't we my little pet?"

The Alpha put emphasis on the "p" causing spit to spray on Gabriel's cheeks, but the Omega was unable to wipe it away so instead he groaned and shifted a bit on the cold and semen stained concrete floor. Gabriel could smell himself mixed with this horrid Alpha everywhere around him. The Alpha's scent was so potent it permeated Gabriel's nose strongly and Gabriel whined and whimpered like a desperate fuck underneath him.

"You sad little bitch," the Alpha laughed and slammed Gabriel stomach down so that he could no longer see his face. Gabriel's golden eyes shimmered with fear and tears. "No one will ever want you…you've been screwed so much. You're worthless to any other Alpha, but me. You're mine Gabriel. All mine."

Gabriel tried not to listen, but after a long while and long many mounts later he started to believe it. He felt the Alpha's release at first, but after awhile he went numb to it. He went numb to any feeling that had to do with mating and penetration. He didn't feel a damn thing every time he was taken back to his and Castiel's cage. He didn't feel a damn thing…

Gabriel always tried his best to ignore those visions and dreams. When he would have one, he'd think of Sam. Sweet, innocent, Sam with his hazel green eyes that turned chocolate colored in dark light, Sam with his good temperament. Sam, who'd kept him warm and safe his first few days at the pet shop. Sam, who'd engulfed Gabriel in his wings and hadn't let him go all night, any night, every night they were there. Poor, innocent, horny…Alpha…Sam who probably wanted to mate with him.

Gabriel wasn't ready. Not for that. He cared about Sam, but mating? That was something he thought could never feel good, not ever again. That stud Alpha had ruined it for Gabriel and that was all there was to it. He'd tell Sam eventually, but for right now it was best for him if he took the time to gather his thoughts and prepare himself for anything that would come with courting Sam.

"I just hope he's not making some kinda mistake," Dean sighed, hand in hand with Castiel as they walked home through the park, the sun starting to set. They'd been out having a nice date. So far Castiel had taken Dean to a quaint restaurant near the park they were currently strolling through and they'd eaten the best meals of their lives in their opinions. Then Dean and he had gone to the bookstore nearby and browsed. Castiel had picked up a book of what Dean described to be "cheesy" poetry and they'd laughed at the accent Castiel had managed to muster up while doing so. They'd sat in various aisles, Castiel's head on Dean's shoulder as the Alpha explained in detail everything from the depictions of a great war to the whimsical ways of a young first grade girl named Junie B. Castiel hadn't had a chance as a fledgling to read many books due to so much time spent in the mill, so Dean reading any written word was like music to his ears. Of course Dean's voice in itself was music to Castiel's ears as well. It was almost like Dean was born to sit and read Castiel books.

"Jo and Ellen," Dean had explained. "They used to read to all us angels at the shop some nights when they closed early and we were all eager enough to listen."

"It sounds beautiful," Castiel had smiled and leaned in to nip Dean's ear before nuzzling his cheek. A common custom among Alphas and Omegas that were courting one another. Dean smiled big and chuckled a little. "I really wish I could've been there for that."

"How about this," Dean had asked. "You bring me books and I'll read to you any time you want? Deal?"

"Deal." Castiel had nodded and had leaned into Dean's chest as he'd continued to read.

Now they were finishing up their day with a simple walk together, hand in hand, not a care in the world. At least not in Castiel's mind. Dean's mind seemed to be elsewhere. Being the younger brother out of him and Gabriel Castiel couldn't quite understand what it was like to worry about someone like Dean worried about Sam, but Castiel could only imagine.

"Dean," Castiel turned so he was facing Dean and looking him in the eyes. "Sam is growing up. As are we. I know it's easy for me to say, but you have to stop worrying so much about your brother. He's going to make some difficult choices in his life, but they're his. You have to respect that."

"You know," Dean smiled and pulled Castiel closer. "I love it when you pull out your philosophy on me."

"I aim to please." Castiel chuckled.

Castiel had gotten much more confident after finding a permanent home with Bobby Singer, his and Gabriel's caretaker. He'd gone from a tiny, sick, shrimp from an angel mill to a handsome practically adult Omega with the confidence of a politician lying. Dean didn't care about changes though; he'd have accepted Castiel as the shy fledgling he'd first met any day as well. Dean looked into Castiel's sky blue eyes some days and still saw the innocent little Omega that had first slept in his pen, other days he saw a beautifully teenage Castiel full of life and full of pride in himself. Dean liked both sides just as much as the other.

The pair ran along to Castiel's home and Castiel let them in. The sun was beginning to set when they made it to Castiel's room. Castiel's room was smaller than Gabriel's by a little bit, but Castiel liked to think of it as cozier. There was a queen sized bed leaning up against the middle of the wall and a side table on one side with a blue lamp. Castiel's blanket and sheets were deep navy blue to match his similarly painted walls. His desk was a mess of papers and a dictionary that was open to the R's. Castiel sunk into the bed, Dean following not far behind. Castiel kissed Dean's lips, grabbing them with his own, desperate to taste them once again. Dean's hands wandered across Castiel's hips gently as Castiel worked his hands up under Dean's shirt. Dean panted and kissed at Castiel's exposed neck a few times before inching his fingers to the Omega's jeans button.

"Wait…" Castiel said breathlessly as Dean continued to kiss up his neck.

"What is it?" Dean asked quietly not wanting to ruin the intimacy of the moment.

Castiel whimpered as he felt Dean's crotch rub up slowly and gingerly against his and Dean's lips on his heated skin was making it hard to focus on his words.

"We shouldn't…" Castiel sighed and Dean stopped grinding against him.

The Alpha had exposed his wings already, oil less, but he was still just as excited. Dean tucked them back into his back in a ball of light and pressed his forehead to Castiel's kissing him once.

"I understand Cas," Dean sighed and kissed him again. "I mean, we can…wait."

"Dean," Castiel felt worse now. "I love you. I do. But…mating is…for life."

"I know it is," Dean chuckled and kissed at Castiel's neck again a few times before sitting up in front of him. "I've just never felt this way about…anyone."

"Me neither," Castiel admitted. "And I want that for us, all of it. I just think we need to know were both ready ok?"

"Safe sex talk I know," Dean laughed and Castiel did as well as he sat up too. "Cas I won't make you do anything you don't want to."

"I know you won't," Castiel leaned into Dean's chest and sank down in his arms as Dean placed a gentle kiss to his forehead. "Besides. We've got all our lives."

Dean nodded in agreement, although a deeper, more feral, part of him was tempted to throw Castiel down and force him to be bred, Dean refused. Because Dean wasn't going to be like that and after staring into Castiel's happy blue eyes once again, he knew there was no way in Hell he could be.
