Chapter 10: "ABE no AKASHI"
Mai's P.O.V.
I just woke up and I felt the wounds in my stomach still pains me a little but because of what ayako made me drink, I feel much better now. But right now, I'm scared since that man…that angry spirit of this house really wanted to get me. And because he can now wound me it will serve as a warning that he will get me no matter what. I just don't know why does it have to be me? I know that I'm a danger or ghost magnet but not like this. My life is in danger now because of him, for once I just don't know his identity, he just kept on showing up in my dreams but that is to say that he will get me. The only memory of him that I know is the memory of his first victim. Her name is Isabell, she is the daughter of a famous writer, she is also a famous model.
*Flashback of the dream*
Her memory shown me that in this very house that man trespass, one evening and sneak inside her room. By that time isabell is currently sleeping in her room, He locked the door and to make sure no one will disturb them. He move closely to the still sleeping isabell and then he covered her mouth and he tied her hand into the headboard of her bed, and with that isabell woke up, wondering what is going on and unto why is her hands tied and her mouth sealed, she then saw the man.
"don't worry…I'll make you feel good…" he said to isabell who is now crying but can't speak since there is a cover in her mouth. While the man is now lifting her sleepgown while touching her legs slowly, isabell has the scared and disgust look in her face.
"now, now…you're certainly a beauty…no doubt you're a model…but…this beauty of yours will be mine…now tell me…have you already done it with a man before?" he asked while isabell is still crying but didn't answered him.
"so? Have you done it or not?!" he shouted and there I saw that isabell shake her head as a sign or symbol that she haven't done it.
"hmnn…good…then I will be the first and your last…since after I savor you…you will only be wanting me forever but…that is if you will not tell anybody of what happen here…if you do…I will kill you…and you family" he said and after that he started raping her, I just can't take it anymore that is why I didn't look but minutes later another vision was shown. There I saw isabell crying on her bed and then the man suddenly came in.
"Please…Please…I'm begging you! Stop this…I admit it already! I'm Yours now!" she pleaded
"what are you implying here? If you are mine…you will not be begging me to stop sleeping with you but rather you will be lying there in your bed naked while pleasing me to do you" said the man
"Please! Please Haven't you had enough?! You've been raping me for a month now, every night!"
"It's not enough…not until you breakdown"
"I'm broke! You succeeded! I lost my job and my parents don't trust me anymore! And to tell you…just a while ago…I have gone into a clinic to have a checked up since I'm not feeling well lately and THERE! I DISCOVER THIS!" she shouted as she throw a picture into the man's face, and I think that picture is an ultrasound.
"I see…so we now have a baby…that good news…But still you can't stop me from doing the things that I want to your body"
"I'M FREAKING PREGNANT YOU IDIOT! *SOB* STOP ALL THIS! THIS IS MY BODY NOT YOURS! *SOB* I'M TIRED OF YOU VIOLATING ME! *SOB* AND I DON'T WANT THIS BABY! I DON'T WANT IT!" shouted isabell while continuously hitting his chest.
"This may be your body but…I'm the one who taught to this body of yours the feeling of a man inside you…and that baby…our baby…you will keep it…you are not going to do anything to it cause if you do…I will kill you and your sister" said the now mad man who now holds both hands of isabell. After that he push her into the bed and once again he started raping her even though she is begging him to stop, he just kept on doing it until he is satisfied. After that another vision came into me, and that shows me when isabell decided to tell her family about him even though she knew that he will kill her. But she wants them to be away from her so that they will be safe from him. And after telling her family about it, they left her and didn't inform anybody where will they be going, not even to isabell. After that she went into a clinic within the city and there she had an abortion. When she got home, she was ready to fight him with all her might. She knew that she will be killed that night that is why she decide to call someone, that I think is important to her since at the end of the call she said 'I LOVE YOU'. When night falls, he arrived and notice that no one was in the house except for isabell who is in the kitchen. He goes near her and then all I saw that isabell stab him in the chest but because they are in the kitchen he easily got a knife and stab isabell too. They are both dying but before isabell lose her last breath she said.
"YOU ARE THE MOST EVIL MAN THAT I MET…IT IS GOOD THAT I GOT RID OF THAT CHILD OF YOURS SO THAT I CAN REST PEACEFULLY WITHOUT ANY CONNECTION TO YOU…"
"I SEE..HEHE…SO YOU GOT AN ABORTION HUH? WHAT ABOUT THIS…YOUR SOUL WILL BE STAYING HERE FOREVER WITH ME AS YOU WATCH ME VIOLATE MORE WOMAN…UNTIL I WILL BE SATISFIED…"
"YOU'RE DYING…WHY WON'T YOU JUST REST IN PEACE?"
"WE ARE BOTH DYING…BUT OUR SOULS WILL BE HERE FOREVER…AND WITH GUILT YOU WILL NOT LEAVE BECAUSE IT IS YOUR FAULT THAT I WILL BE KILLING MY VICTIMS"
"NO! AH! *COUGH*" cough isabell and after that she died
"UNTIL I FIND THE GIRL I WANT TO CONCIVE MY CHILD…I WILL CONTUNIE RAPING AND KILLING THEM…HAHAHA! *COUGH*" said the man and then he died.
*end of the dream*
I'm started to think that sometimes when he is visiting my dreams, he always says 'you're the one…you can see and feel me…I will surely get you…you will be mine…' he said to me those thing and with that I must inform naru and akashi about it. But I think Akashi haven't arrived yet and with every tick of the clock I can felt that I'm alone in the room and I can feel that something might happen to me if I'm alone, that is why I decided to call on to lin, since I know that there is a camera within my room
"Lin-san…can you hear me? If you can…please tell naru or okuda to go here…I need to tell them something…" I said. And minutes later, I heard the door open and then I felt that someone sit on the left side of my bed and just hold my hand without even saying anything that is why I froze and started to tremble.
"mai…it's me naru…don't be afraid…Lin told me that you have something to tell me…" said naru
"Naru…*sigh* at least talk…I thought that spirit is the one who entered my room…since I can say that Charles isn't in here and if he isn't here then the barrier will going to be a bit weak…" I said while holding my chest
"I'm sorry and about okuda…he is with your brother…right now…I think they are discussing something"
"I see…"
"so what is it that you want to tell? Is it about the case?"
"yes…it a memory of the past of one of the trapped spirit here"
"hmnn…Lin…record everything" said naru and after that I told him everything about the incident between isabell and that man.
"I see…so that is why he wants to get you…but…i won't allow that…" said naru while tightening his grip who is holding my hand
"naru…"
"mai…something like that isn't acceptable and for you to be the mother of that evil spirit is too much…"
"naru...can you tell all of that information to Akashi? He know what to do with that kind of spirit…"
"I will…and he said that he will be arriving today so don't worry…"
"thank you…and can you stay here until Charles came back?"
"of course…I will…so while waiting for him…will you tell me how did you met Akashi?" he asked. Somehow I can differ in his voice a bit of irritation.
"hehe…why do you want to know? Won't you get jealous?"
"mai…i just want to know and I'm not going to be jealous of him because I know that in the end you will choose me…right?"
"hahaha! Behold! The mighty Narcissist is back and he is beside me…hehehe…but your right…I will still choose you…" I said to him
"mai…"
"I know, I know…I'll tell you…it was 3 years ago when I decided to go back here in japan…but I only stayed in Tokyo for 3 days and then I decided to go to Kyoto and study more about making a ritual and stuff. When I got there…I bump into someone and that someone is Akashi…but…that day…I didn't know him yet until I decided to go to the abe-clan. The current leader of the Clan is the father of Akashi, when he introduce me to his sons and daughter, there I met Akashi…but he just said to me…' I know that someone will come here to learn about rituals and charms but I never expected that it is you…' he said and after that we became friends and his family allowed me to stay in their house while I'm learning…"
"and you just accept it?"
"of course…they are so generous enough to let me stay with them"
"hmp!" said naru that I think he is pissed
"anyway…his family is very kind to me…and with the help of Akashi and his sibling, I was able to learn a lot from them with just a short period of time…after two months of staying there…charles decided to follow me in Kyoto and after that we decided to make a charm and that ritual that I gave to you…akashi knows a lot more than me and Charles do…that is why you will be needing his help…also Akashi told me about his abilities and talent…he is like me…he has an ESP and PK but not as strong as you…"
"oh mai…don't include me in that…it kinda sounds like that he is our son who got our abilities" said naru
"hehehe…yeah…but the difference is that he is a real omnyouji who came from a family of omnyoujis... also I remember one time that his parents wants me to stay with them forever…hmnn…I think it is before I got engage and I think…"
"Mai!"
"hehehe…don't worry…i only stay there for four or five months and after that I need to go back to paris since I'm still attending university that time…"
"hmnn…after that…did you meet him again?"

Hmnn…we just continue to have contact with each other but I wasn't able to have time to meet him since I will only stay here in japan for 3 days and then I need to go overseas again…I need to do my work and all that it is taking my time and I don't have spare time to meet him…work is all over my feet after meeting him…"
"is that so…then that's fine but at least give us a call when you are here in Japan…you made us worry for 5 years…we've been searching for you…"
"hmnnn…so you've been looking for me?"
"hmnn…what if I said yes, I've been looking for you and so worried about your safety and health huh…what are you going to do?"
"ah….i don't know yet…since I can't do anything right now in my current state…"
"well…then I will just wait until you're doing fine…will that be fine with you?"

"I want to thank you for staying here with me…at least I felt safe even for a while…"
"you are safe mai…we will protect you no matter what…"
"neh…could you get me something to drink…somehow…I became thirsty and…akashi will be arriving any minute now…"

Hmnn…anyway…you're ability sure grow since we last met….you can now sense or predict when will be others arrive…then can you wait here…I'll just be getting you something to drink" said naru and after that naru left the room. I felt that my room suddenly drop its temperature but not too much and I think it is because of the barrier that prevents him to enter completely but I know any minute now he will be here to take me. And I am right, the room became so cold and I can feel that he is beside me now.
"no…please…please…I'm begging you…stop raping innocent woman and killing them…" I said
"what if I told you that I don't want to…not until I'm satisfied…and it is your job to satisfy me…" he said to me.
"no…you must find peace now…free all the innocent spirits in this house…they also want to find peace…please mr…"
"oh…that's right you don't know my name…very well…I will tell you when we get there…"
"eh? What do you mean?" I asked but after that I felt that I'm being lift up from my bed.
"we shall now go to our room…I'll make love to you until you bare my child " he said as he is
Now touching my leg.
"no…NO! NARU! CHARLES! AAAAAHHHHHH!" I shouted as much as I can but then I felt a wind pass my face and I suddenly felt so tired and sleepy. I felt asleep and the next thing that I knew when I open my eyes, I can see…my eye sight is back but I somehow woke up somewhere I don't even recognize.
"you're finally awake…mai…now I can say my name to you…my name is Ao Takamura…" he said and there I felt that I'm sitting or rather lying on a soft bed. There I notice that my eye sight is now back.
"Takamura…Ao…ah!" I said his name and when I look down, I saw myself only wearing my underwear and bra, I just felt disgust and scared.
"oohhh…don't worry…I will take you tonight…for now...you can rest…hehehe…"
"no! Please! Please! Let go of me! Free me! NARU!" I shouted naru's name so many times but I know that he won't hear me. Now the only thing that I can do is wait for them to rescue me and they must hurry up.
Naru's P.O.V.
I'm on my way to the kitchen when lin contact me with the radio. Then I notice that okuda and yuu-san with his lover walking towards me.
"Naru…taniyam-san's room temperature is dropping" said lin through radio
"What?" I answered
"what's wrong shibuya-san?" asked yuu-san
"ah…well..i'm on my way to the kitchen to get mai some drink and then…" I wasn't able to finish when a maid come into our way with a man behind her.
"oh! Akashi!" shouted okuda as he approach the young man who I think in the same age or a year older than me.
"OKUDA YOU IDIOT! why are you here? Where is Mai?!" asked the man
"eh? Mari? She's in her room resting…"
"so you're Akashi?" I asked
"yes, you must be shibuya kazuya or I should say the famous Doc. Oliver Davis, right? The one who called me last night?" he asked
"yes, that's right…so mai's right…you'll be arriving now…"
"so she already predicted that I'll be arriving sooner than what I said…by the way…" but before he finish okuda cut him
"eh…mari…hmnnn….MARI!" shouted okuda then he suddenly run.
"eh? Did something happen to mai?" asked yuu-san
"wait…lin…what's happening in mai's room" I asked lin through the radio while walking fast going to mai's room.
"Naru! Taniyam-san's not alone in her room…the spirit was able to enter…ah! TAKIGAWA-SAN! Please go to Taniyama-san's room now!" shouted lin to bou-san
"wait lin…what's wrong? Did-" but just before I finish, I heard a loud scream coming from mai's room and as we are getting close I heard mai calling my name and okuda. And speaking of okuda, he is outside mai's room trying to open the door while reciting something. Mai scream again and then a sudden quietness occurred, bou-san and the others arrived and okuda was now able to open the door.
"MARI! Eh? Mari? Where are you? MARI!" he shouted
"no…no...NOO! Mai! Mai! *sob*sob*" said the now crying yuu-san
"I shouldn't have left her…" I said regretting that I left her alone in her room
"noll…it isn't your fault…don't blame yourself" said mother
"hmnn…okuda this is why I told all of you to never leave her alone especially you okuda…I told you to never lose her until I arrive…now what have you done? Mai is nowhere in this room" said Akashi who is walking towards mai's bed
"I'm sorry…" apologize okuda
"her bed is in a mixture of warm and cold…and I can't feel anything that mai struggle here but instead it seems like she was lift up or float by that spirit…"
"what do you mean?" asked bou-san
"exactly as it means…huh…wait…we must now find her…that man is dangerous…I don't want anything bad happen to mai…if only you didn't leave her alone okuda then it will not go up until this point…we need to find her before night…and…we'll be performing the ritual.."
"wait! That ritual?" asked okuda
"yes…do you know the reason why I ask you to stay beside her at all times?"
"eh? Isn't to protect her from that spirit?" asked okuda
"well…that is one…then do you know why she asked you to call me here?"
"so that in case we need to use the ritual…"
"right…and my reason is…I also don't want to use that ritual that is why mai needs to stay close with us but since she is gone then we have no choice but to perform that…I'll be resting for a bit…I need to find her in my dreams…that's the only connection I can have with her now…" he said while slowly lying in mai's bed.
"are you going to sleep there?" asked ayako
"yeah…with this I can easily find her…" he answered
"eh? What do you mean?" asked bou-san
"Akashi also has an ESP and being with mari for so long they somehow they become connected to each other that makes them easily to communicate even in their dreams…I think there is a time before we started use the ritual the second time, mari have gone missing and only Akashi was able to found her…and as far as I remember mari told him 'I know you will be able to find me' she said to Akashi and he only hug her tight while saying 'I will definitely find you no matter what or where you will be, I promise you that' he said" hearing okuda say those things make me wanted to somehow punch or shout at him but without him mai won't be here and even though now that mai is missing only him could help us find her.
"okuda…I know I've ask this before but… does that ritual really needs a sacrifice?"
"hmnnn…my answer is still the same…that ritual do need a sacrifice in this case that is why we can't do anything about it but to at least trust Akashi…I think by now he may have found mari…let's trust him…" he said. After that we are all shock when Akashi suddenly wake up and sit in he middle of the bed.
"Akashi? What's wrong?" asked okuda
"the situation is much worse than I imagine…I just can't find mai but I can hear her cries...she is calling for help…I need to focus for now so can you all leave? I need to be alone…also okuda I need two candles here…"
"ah…ok! I'll get the candles that you need…so everyone…let's leave him alone…"said okuda while he got out of the room to get the candles
"eh? Can't he do it while we're in here?" asked bou-san
"no…if you really want to find mai before night…you will do what I said and if not you may find a mai who is already bearing a child inside her womb"
"what?!" shouted ayako
"I think mai already explained it to shibuya-san, if you understand then go out now…I need to concentrate…I don't want to see mai suffering…not because of this idiots members of yours…" said the now irritated akashi
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING IDIOT HUH?!" shouted ayako
"everyone…leave him…akashi here are the candles that you need…now...let's all go out now…out…" said okuda while we are all just going out. Everyone have gone straight to the base and focus their sight to the monitor.
"you know what, you will not see anything there even if you stare until he is done since he will be focusing all his strength into his vision in order to find mari and see her without the spirit noticing his presence" said okuda that I kinda understood since me and gene usually do that when we are kids.
"okuda…do you think he will be able to find mai?" asked father
"well...base on what I know…he can do it if he want to since mari is important to him that is why I know he will be able to find her…so Trust him"
"very well….how long will take him to fine mai" Asked bou-san
"honestly…I don't know…"
"wait…noll…isn't it that you and gene do telepathy when you were kids? Then you can also do what he is doing…." Said mother
"I don't think so…" said okuda
"what do you mean?" asked father
"well…telepathy between noll and gene is because they are sibling and at most they were twins that is why it is bound by blood and genes between the two also…as telepathy means that they can read each other minds right? Or talk through their minds…but right now…what Akashi is doing is more than that…he is currently in a vision of an ESP and he must find mai…that is why it is more than a telepathy could do…."
"okuda-kun…I can see that you do trust that man in finding my sister…" said yuu-san
"yes… I do…he values mari more than anything and I can't blame him since he do have feelings for her but sadly mari was engage to that bastard fiancé of her…but…I know that he will do everything in his power to find her…"said okuda
"hmnnn….anyway…naru-bou…that Akashi boy did mention that mai explain something to you…what is it? Also why did he said that if we don't find mai before night then we might found her already bearing a child in her womb…"asked bou-san
"now that you mention it…he did mention that…so care to explain it to us?" said okuda. And with that I asked lin to show to them the video that was recorded a while ago before mai disappear. In that video, mai explained everything and she also told me about her dream or vision that she saw. I can see in their eyes that they are thinking that the spirit in this house really is a horrible one.
"naru…do you want to see the video that happen before taniyama-san disappear?" asked lin
"you mean the time when the spirit enter her room?" I asked
"yes…"
"well then…I want to see it…" I said while lin and prepare the video that he will be showing to all of us. In that video, I saw mai being so scared of that spirit but she can't do anything since she can't see and it seems like the spirit bound her actions. It seems that what Akashi said about mai being lifted up was true as we all saw in horrid that mai was being lifted to the air and that man started to touch her. Just seeing him touching mai makes my blood boil but then mai shouted for help and that must be the time when I heard her shouting my name and okuda. After that they just disappear, leaving the room without any trace of them both after that we were able to enter the room. I hope that Akashi will succeed on finding her, that spirit won't let mai go until he is satisfied and just like akashi i don't want anything bad happen to my beloved mai.
